About this house rental
Mountain Thunder Lodge is a luxurious and elegant retreat ideally located among the pines and aspens of Breckenridge, only 200 yards from the gondola and 2 blocks from Main St. Alternately use the At Your Service shuttle provided by Mountain Thunder to any location in Breck, including direct access to any of the base areas. This 2nd story townhouse is unique within Mtn Thunder:
1. it backs directly onto Gondola Ski-Back Ski run (only a few units are located on the ski run and this is one!)
2. it is the closest 2 BR townhome to the access trail (the shortest walk from the trail)
3. it is an upper unit … no units and no noise above you
4. at 1400 sq ft it is the largest 2BR unit in the complex
5. the second BR has a queen / double bunk so it is perfect for a second couple or families with children.
You are literally a few feet to skiing and hiking from your front door! Ski/walk to the gondola or downtown and ski right back to your home!
This exquisite townhouse is a large second story unit (ground entry with interior stairwell) featuring 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Being an upper unit means there is no one above you and thus affords you the quiet you want on your vacation. The spacious 1400 sq ft floor plan with soaring vaulted ceilings make it one of the most spacious 2 BR units in Breck. The unit has been updated with wood tile flooring, new carpet in the bedrooms and all new paint throughout. The high end furnishings complement this luxury property. The Master Suite features a king bed, office desk and chair, an ensuite that has double sinks, and a tub with a separate shower. The 2nd bedroom features a bunk bed with a queen bed on the bottom and a double bed on top. This bedroom has direct access to the 2nd bathroom which comes with a full tub and shower combo. Finally a queen sleeper sofa allows for up to 8 people in the unit.
A full kitchen with oven/stove, microwave, full size refrigerator and dishwasher and numerous small appliances (toaster, blender, slow cooker, coffee maker, keurig) as well as full sets of cutlery, dishware, and cookware gives you the option to eat in as if at home.
Many additional amenities are included … there are 3 large flat screen TVs in the townhouse. 4K Smart TV in the living room allows access to streaming services, Netflix, or wireless casting for device viewing or HDMI cable provided for wired viewing from your laptop. Bluetooth enabled soundbar / speakers allow for audio streaming from your phone/ipad etc. A new (2024) washer and dryer is located in the unit so there is no need to overpack!. Thoughtful extras include a pack’n play for infants/toddlers, high chair, fans, humidifiers (for our southern guests!), iron and board, hair dryer and extra blankets.
The unit has an attached private heated garage (big enough for a full-size SUV) with ski racks and boot dryers. The private driveway accommodates a second vehicle and additional vehicles can be parked on property in designated locations (parking fee may be required for more than 2 vehicles). However... it is unlikely you will need your vehicle as everything is within walking distance including downtown and gondola and grocery store. For further distances or when you simply don’t want to walk you simply call the included “At Your Service” door to door shuttle bus service! This service will pick you up right at your front door and drive you to anywhere in Breck including all the base areas! No need to wait at bus stops!
Your stay includes access to amenities including an onsite fitness facility, outdoor heated pool (open year round), and multiple hot tubs on property. Wireless internet and cable service is included. In addition you have access to all the amenities at One Ski Hill at the base of Peak 8 which includes an indoor swimming pool, bowling alley, private media room. and additional fitness facility!

The four of us, including our 4-yr old and 1-yr old had a great time staying here. Convenient to the town and trails for hiking/skiing. The place was also extremely clean. Would be interested in staying here in the winter.

Beautiful townhome in Breckenridge! Great place to relax and enjoy everything Breckenridge has to offer. Super clean, great decor, comfortable deck with aspen trees and pines. What's not to like. Easy 7 minute walk to Main Street and all the best restaurants. The owner and management company make it a breeze to enjoy. Five Stars ***** Highly recommended.

We had a great time staying at Mountain Thunder. It is very convenient to everything in Breck. The property was comfortable and afforded us a lot of space for the four of us. You could easily have 6 people and be comfortable. We will be back!

This property was perfect for our family of four. The townhouse was nicely decorated and very comfortable and had everything that we needed. We go on these vacations to ski, and this location couldn’t be beat for ease of access to the slopes. Town was just a quick five minute walk as well. The hot tubs in the community are great for some relaxing after a day on the slopes. Check in/out was a breeze and communication with the owner was easy, but not really needed as everything went smoothly. We would stay here again.

We loved being here! Its our second year staying here. Ski in ski out to the back door was great for all of us to meet up late afternoon back home. I was able to let the teenagers come and go as they pleased :) We loved it and will definitely be back! Thank you Dave!

Condo is in a great location. Dave is the very best owner we have ever dealt with in all of our vacation stays. Very attentive to all of our questions. The most impressive part was when we had left condo to discover half way to airport that my wife forgot her purse. Dave got involved and advised her on getting through airport security and her purse arrived home intact the next day. We will be back! Thank you Dave!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed was there, even extra batteries for the remotes, which we needed. There was a winter storm while we were there, so some of the nearby lifts were closed. That just meant taking a shuttle or driving over to a lift that was working. From the windows in the master bedroom, den, dining, and kitchen areas, you can see skiers actually ski by on the ski run that is literally right outside the back door. If not for the winter storm, this location is perfect for shoppers too because downtown is 2-3 blocks away with lots of stores and restaurants that you can walk to.

The condo was wonderful! We entered to a welcome gift and an amazing view skiers through the trees, coming back through the ski in/out road. The spaces were beautiful and immaculately clean. Will definitely come back here!

We enjoyed our stay. The townhome was comfortable and clean. It was perfect for a ski vacation. It is a true ski-in. It is very close to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed relaxing at the condo after skiing as much as we enjoyed skiing.

My family really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful condo. We were a short walk to downtown and the gondola. We enjoyed walking downtown in the morning for coffee & hot chocolates. After skiing, we enjoyed the hot tubs in the community and movies by the fireplace. The condo is very clean and upscale. The owner was communicating with us throughout the stay to make sure we were having a great time. This is a 5 star property for sure. Hope to spend another week here next year. My wife and I escaped the Texas heat for a week and found this wonderful townhome was available. Like all the comments from other reviews, we found the home was comfortable, well-appointed, and the owner and management company eager to ensure our stay was perfect. The location is perfect with easy access to the mountain and Main Street. There is not a single negative comment to make - six stars from us!

We have been traveling all over Colorado for the past 3 years just to experience the different areas so this was our first stay in Breckenridge. The condo was within perfect walking distance to anything we needed. I felt very safe in the area. You have a hiking trail right outside the back of the condo. It has a bathtub which I appreciated so much. The owner and property management company were very much in touch with us to see if we needed anything. We definitely would book here again when we are in the area.

The cleanliness of the house was top notch! We loved our stay. Between having our laundry done on the way home to having a “home” to come back to we couldn’t be more happy. The girls loved the bunk bed and we loved the kitchen and back deck. It was peaceful and a great place to come back to!

Gloria and Dave have a beautiful place and Easy is the word to sum it all up! Super easy check in process, easy walk to downtown, easy to settle in because they have thought of everything you need.
From the minute you book the customer service from both them and the property mgmt company is top notch. Throughout our stay they both checked in to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything. It was more like you were staying at your family’s place.
The townhome is as nice as the pictures show online. We were also pleasantly surprised that the bedrooms are more spacious than we thought. We enjoyed plenty of time on Main St but also had some of our favorite evenings staying in grilling and playing games. Our kids enjoyed the pool and hot tubs at Mountain Thunder and we took advantage of the option for private bowling a couple nights at One Ski Hill, which is an amenity that is included.
We have been to Breck the last 7 summers and have stayed in some of the newest/nicest condo resorts and it was unanimous with our family that this was our favorite place and we cant wait to go back!

This is a perfectly sized place for our family of four in the perfect location. Shops & restaurants are all walkable yet the townhome’s location is quiet & serene with beautiful trees positioned around the back deck. The place was immaculate & had all the kitchen gadgets necessary to prepare meals. The console table full of family games & puzzles was also appreciated for those of us traveling with kids. Will definitely be back!!

Had a group of college friends together for a long ski weekend and had a wonderful experience. The amenities were great including the hot tubs and pool that are very short walk from the unit. The heated garage with boot heaters were a big plus. All in all, it was the perfect place to spend our days on the mountain and ski right to the back door.

We had a great stay. Location is perfect, with ski in ski out available for lunch was great. Shuttle was very easy to use, especially this time of year when parking is difficult. Condo was clean and comfortable. Communication was great and ensured we had everything we needed. Will stay here again.

Gondola is a reasonable walk from the room but there is also a very responsive shuttle that will take you where you want to go. Main Street is a short walk as well. You really can’t beat the location. You do not need a vehicle. Communication with the owner and the management group was outstanding. Room was well stocked. Couldn’t ask for a better stay. A+++

The property is situated within walking distance of the gondola and Main Street. The Vrbo listing, including pictures and description are accurate and a good representation of the rental and amenities. Although we are not skiers ourselves, we enjoyed watching the ski and snowboarders come down the slope behind the house at the end of every day. Frisco , Copper Mountian and Vail are all within reasonable driving distance for day trips. David and PMI Breck were extremely accommodating and made sure to check in daily with us. We look forward to returning in the future.

This condo is a perfect location to ski Breck. If you have the Epic pass, Vail is an easy 45 minute drive away. Walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in town. Very clean and comfortable. Exceptional attention from the property manager and owners. We had a wonderful family vacation!

1. Availability and attentiveness of owner Dave. He made sure we had everything we needed before, during and after our stay!
2. Perfect location. Loved being able to ski home to the property, the short walk to town and Gondola. Free shuttle service was a great perk for all other locations.
3. Property was clean, spacious and fully equipped for all we needed. Loved the heated garage and boot warmers!
