About this cottage rental

The cottage is a well-appointed, stand-alone unit with a private gate and entrance which provides an ideal retreat for touring the Sonoma and Napa wine country. Located in a garden setting 5 blocks from the Healdsburg Plaza in the central, historic district, it is adjacent to a 2-story, 1880's Victorian farmhouse in a friendly, pedestrian neighborhood. The cottage (600 sq. ft.) sleeps up to four people and offers an open, sunny living area with vaulted ceilings, a bedroom* and large bathroom with a shower facility. The window seat overlooks the cottage garden. (* Note that there is no door between the living room and the bedroom. These two areas are semi-private and separated by a short hallway.)

The setting accommodates visitors who want to relax in privacy. The bedroom has a very comfortable (brand new 12/22) Saatva Classic Luxury queen bed, which gets rave reviews, with high thread-count sheets and high-quality towels/washcloths. The living area includes a Scandinavian Design queen sleeper sofa with a very comfortable memory foam mattress. The living area has a workspace with a desk, a USB charging station, and speedy Wifi. Amenities include filtered and sparkling water, local coffee with a Ninja coffee maker/foamer for specialty coffee drinks, a coffee press (for those who like it simple), and a variety of teas and an electric tea kettle. The cottage is perfectly suited for simple food prep as it is equipped with a sink, utensils, dishes, bowls, microwave, toaster oven, and under-counter refrigerator. An induction stovetop is available on request. The use of outdoor bbq is also available on request.

We also provide cable TV, Bluetooth speaker, and Wifi.

Enjoy dining outdoors in our quiet, private garden area, or read and relax in nearby redwood chairs. The cottage is within an easy walk to award-winning restaurants and shopping. It is very quiet and peaceful at night.

This little cottage/bungalow is located about 5 blocks (10 min walk) from the square. It is in the "back yard" of the owner's home but still feels private and secluded. It is the perfect size for two people. Parking is always available right outside the gate.

My wife and I had a fantastic 4 night trip to Healdsburg, and David and Kelly's cottage was the perfect place to stay. It is on a quiet street a short walk from the plaza. The on-street parking is right in front of the cottage. Everything was fresh and clean, and David and Kelly were excellent hosts. I highly recommend staying at the cottage.

Overall great. Only comment is that ice and grill had to be shared with home owner. So they had to be there when we wanted them.

This guest cottage was a great spot to base our stay in Healdsburg. The pictures online are accurate and this little cottage (attched to the garage just behind the owner's house) is an easy 8-10 minute walk down to all the restaurants, tasting rooms, and shops on Healdsburg Square. It had everything we needed for our stay and gave more space than a hotel room. The only things that could be improved are the blinds in the bedroom area windows, which are so sheer they let in alot of light, and the shower. The shower only has glass on one side, which means that water is constantly splashing out onto the countertop of the sink.

We have stayed in Healdsburg before but this is our first time at this property. It won’t be our last. Great location- easy walk to the center of Healdsburg. Cottage is perfect size and amenities. Great hosts. Thank you!

We had an wonderful stay in this Magical Gardens Cottage nestled in a myriad of foliage & flowers. Bees were buzzing and the flowers were calming and downright magical. Paco, our new dog friend welcomed us into his domain (we loved Paco). Our hosts were attentive and welcoming. The cottage is just a shot walk into Healdsburg Square and in close proximity to a myriad of wineries for some very tasty tastings. The cottage was clean & comfortable, we had a lovely stay!

Stayed here for four nights and we made great use of the central location. We walked to the center of town (5-10 minutes) every day, multiple times a day. We loved how every time we walked back onto the property and into the cottage, that we got to walk through a lush garden. It felt so secluded and so peaceful. The cottage itself was exactly what we needed. The bed was comfortable, the living space was so cute and cozy, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen for our stay. And our hosts were so kind and accommodating! If we find ourselves back in Healdsburg, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. What a beautiful cottage!

The property is lovely, the cottage is comfortable and nestled in a beautiful garden. The property owners were friendly and responsive. We appreciated the little extras like coffee and creamer and even some snacks. All around wonderful stay. We'd love to come back (maybe when it's not pouring rain). 😊

The garden was lush and gorgeous even in December. The location was incredible- an easy walk to town. The cottage was very sweet, just as pictured. And the hosts were also so nice! There was plenty of room in the bedroom for our baby’s pack and play, with walking room to spare. It was great! We’re definitely hoping to stay again on our next trip to Healdsburg!

Walking distance to the Healdsburg Plaza and many local shops. David and Kelly were great hosts. They answered all of our questions within a timely manner. They also gave us many recommendations beforehand (a few weeks prior to our trip) so that I had time to prepare which wineries we wanted to see and set up reservations. It was our first time to the area, and it will not be our last! Thanks so much, David and Kelly!

This is absolutely ones of those places that lives up 100% to the description and the photos in the listing. If you are looking for a cozy & comfortable place as home base to explore nearby wineries & attractions - or just charming Healdsburg itself - this is the perfect place. We also booked David's Howling Wine Tours for a day during our stay - which was super convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.

We spent four peaceful days and nights in this beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked cottage with garden that was perfectly described in the listing. The hospitable owners (Kelly and David) were accessible, helpful, and always communicative. The cottage is a short, 10 minute walk to downtown Healdsburg and the many fine restaurants and shops. It’s also nearby to many wineries in the Russian River Valley and Dry Creek Valley wineries. For a real treat, we hired David to arrange tastings and drive us to several small vineyards producing outstanding wines. A great stay; we hope to return!

My fiancé and I decided to take a last minute trip up north and stayed in this LOVELY little cottage/guest house. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The space was clean and well decorated. The owners were incredibly nice…we even sat with them one night around their fire pit and shared a glass of wine. Truely an amazing experience.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything is as listed. Grateful for the window unit in the bedroom as it was unusually warm for our stay. Located in a charming neighborhood with a nice 15 minute walk to all the restaurants and tasting rooms downtown. Only suggestion would be more comfortable chairs for dining outside. We also had a great time with our private tour to local wineries with David.

This was the cutest little cottage in the backyard of Kelly and David’s house. Super easy to find, located in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to walk into town. Kelly was so accommodating, letting us borrow a cooler and giving us ice packs to use for the weekend. She even let us pick oranges from her tree! Would highly recommend this property!!
