Island Sands Unit #102 is on the Ground Floor. No stairs to climb. So, that means no climbing up and down the stairs to haul luggage in/out. And it's super easy to go to the beach. Simply open one of the two sliding patio doors and walk directly to the beach. Also, you get FREE BEACH SERVICE with our condo! An umbrella and two chairs, set up for you daily. You don't have to worry about packing chairs and an umbrella back and forth to the beach. Only minutes from Destin and no huge high rises. Convenient to shopping & restaurants.

KING MASTER BEDROOM: Yes, a huge King size bed! We purchased a NEW mattress set in September 2021. Full Dresser, 32-Inch Flatscreen TV, 2 Night Stands, 2 lamps, 1 alarm clock, new ceiling fan and the added bonus of having your own private 1/2 bath with a new sink faucet.
FULL BATH: A NEW sink faucet, shower curtain/liner and all NEW Towels.
LIVING ROOM: 2 Queen Sleeper Sofas. Both sleepers have comfortable queen Mattresses. They're nothing like the one we replaced, which you could feel the bars in your back. Ugh! These sleepers are great to sleep on and have commercial grade mattresses. Yes, they are very comfortable to sit on, as well. 50 inch flat screen smart TV (equipped with Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, YouTube, Facebook and more - Must have an account to use access additional options), DVD Player, some family movies and books. Cable TV.
KITCHEN - FULLY STOCKED: Seating for 6 people. New Granite counters 2019, Refrigerator with ice-maker in freezer, stove/oven, overhead microwave, NEW kitchen faucet, counter-top small appliances (coffee pot, 2-wide slice toaster, electric kettle, blender, can opener). NEW extra large capacity FULL size washer/dryer 2019, silverware/knives, pots/pans & bakeware and Fiesta dish-ware.
LAUNDRY: NEW extra large capacity WASHER & DRYER 2019. Yes these are large capacity, not the small apartment/condo size washer and dryer you typically find in rental condos, that seem to have the capacity to wash a couple of towels at a time, and take hours to dry them. Large capacity allows you to enjoy your vacation, without laundry becoming a chore.
INTERNET: We have FREE wireless internet for your added convenience. Being on vacation, doesn't mean you have to be 'Off The Grid'.
OUTDOOR PATIO: Seating for 6 people! We have furnished the private patio with Sturdy outdoor Furniture. We love sitting and relaxing on the patio. It's a great spot to use the grill, sit and unwind, relax with family/friends or enjoy reading a good book.

The property is in need of updates but I hear that’s in the works. The unit was in process of updating while we were there. Had very nice bedroom furniture and looked like new floors. Bathrooms were small but just 2 of us so no big deal. Loved the big kitchen counter. We didn’t cook any (vacation rules lol). Great location. Steps to the beach. Loved the chairs and beach service provided.

We stayed with young children. If you travel with small ones you know there’s so much to carry and even an extra 100 ft can take forever. We loved being on the ground level so close to the boardwalk. The chair service really made the beach trips more relaxing for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! This was the best of both world when it comes to close beautiful beach and clean pool just steps away. Perfect for family with small kids. We spent every morning on the beach, ate lunch at the condo, napped, and then swam in the pool in the afternoons. We would come back and use this host again. Loved the location and set up.

We were given 1 day notice of constitution that was schedule to be completed mid April but was not. Our stay was booked for May 4th thru 11th. Owners did offer full refund or discount but 1 day left no time to find something else. We had no use or view of the patio doors to the beach, they were boarded up. Upon arrival the constitution of replacement balconies was NO way near being completed and in talking to others, (some owners) its obvious it will not be completed for another several months. The constitution team was rarely there working. I understand business is business but the owners should have shown a little more respect and courtesy by giving us more time. As a concrete and construction business owner, I am certain all parties involved knew months prior to our dates that constitution would not meet the April deadline. Simply notifying us on the April deadline would have gave us more time to find other accommodations but instead we were told on Wed May 3rd the day before our scheduled vacation. Very disappointing and I'm certain many OSHA guidelines not followed one being on trip and fall hazards.

We loved the location and ease of getting to the beach. While we do miss the “view” staying on the bottom floor—we love being able to leave beach chairs, floats and boogie boards on the back porch area so you can grab and go to the beach—no lugging things upstairs. Also being able to bbq is amazing. We will definitely return.

This condo was perfect for us! We had 4 people, 2 slept on the bed in the bedroom and the other 2 slept on the pull out couches in the living room. The bed and pull out couches were comfy and clean! The access to the beach is so great and we really enjoyed our stay here!

Perfect location!
My husband and I brought our 5 yr old twins for their first beach vacation, and this spot was perfect! A short walk to the beach was a must for us with small children, and this property was ideal. The king size bed is very comfortable, and the beach itself was not crowded at all. Super close to great restaurants and shops, nice clean pool, and the beach service was great! I would definitely stay here again. If this is the property you are considering, book it now!!!

I loved everything about this condo, when they say it's steps from the beach, they are not lying! The pool was also nice and it's a very convenient drive to some pretty awesome attractions and restaurants! I took my 1yo to experience his first beach trip and we also visited the gulfarium, which he loved. The hosts were also very accommodating. I will definitely be visiting this location again!

Beach stay
Would definitely return to this property. The beach access was fabulous and everything was great. The washer is a little loud. So I would wash while you are at the beach. Other than that this was a fantastic place to stay. Close to all kinds of restaurants also and the grocery wasn’t very far either.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this property! My husband and I stayed for a long NYE weekend. The back door beach access was awesome. We mostly just stayed in the condo and only ventured out for dinner. The beach was perfect for all day access and just taking the short walk to the condo for whatever we needed. I loved how everything in the condo was labeled. There is no question of which light switch goes to what and where all the amenities are located and how to care for the place. We didn’t have any question while we were there bc they were all answered before we even thought to ask them! We are definitely planning to come back and stay a little longer next time!!

Fantastic Place & People
My family celebrated Christmas there this year. 2 Adults, 16 year-old & 3 year old. We felt like we were home from the first minute we walked in the condo. Very clean, very well furnished. Perfect for a getaway within steps of the beach. It's a very easy drive to get some delicious food or coffee.
They made our stay special I feel because there were decorations out (*they didn't have to). There were beach toys available for our Grandaughter to play with (they didn't have to). We had brought a couple a small toys with us, but 'Wow!'.
The appliances were great, smart TV was an awesome addition so we could watch Netflix without bringing anything. The whole place just leaves you enjoying yourself rather than running to the store because you forgot something.
Also, we left something behind and were already out of state. The owners & fabulous cleaning staff worked with us & our family to get the items (family heirloom *yikes) back to us.
I don't know what else to say. If you're looking for a great beach-side getaway then this is perfect home-base.
