With beautiful bay and ocean views, a dog-friendly attitude, and space for four guests, this Gold Beach vacation rental is a lovely place to stay while you're here at the Southern Coast.
Located just about 200 yards from the waterfront, this home is within easy walking distance of the shore and the restaurants and other businesses in town. With the ocean and Rogue River so close, you can easily go boating, fishing, or otherwise spend plenty of time enjoying the water.
This one-bedroom, one-bathroom house can accommodate two guests. If you also rent the neighboring Harbor View Studio Cottage that can host an additional three guests and their dogs, you can bring a group of up to five!
This self-contained home has everything you may need to have a wonderful time here in Gold Beach. Step inside to find a compact but comfortable home. The full kitchen has plenty of space to maneuver, plus all the major appliances (including a dishwasher for easy cleanup) that you will need to whip up tasty home-cooked meals.
You can sit at the dining room table and enjoy a leisurely meal, or use it as a place to spread out maps and brochures to plan for the day's adventures. This home also has WiFi in case you like to look up restaurant reviews online or need to get a little work done while you're here. Other entertainment options include a DVD player, a selection of classic movies, and a shelf full of books.
There's a full bathroom where you can wash off the saltwater, and this home even has a laundry area to freshen up any sandy clothes. When it's time to head to bed, you will find that the bedroom has a queen-size bed, a wall-mounted TV, and a queen sized Murphy bed in the same room. You're also welcome to bring your dogs with you.
Outside, this home has a lovely deck where you can relax and breathe in the fresh sea air. You can use the electric grill to cook up some lunch to enjoy while looking out over the scenery.
When you're ready to check out the beach, you can simply walk across the highway and out Jetty Road just about half a mile to reach a sandy beach at the mouth of the Rogue River. Just a little farther west is the ocean beach, which stretches south the entire length of town and beyond. This stretch of sand is quiet and a particularly great place to find interesting pieces of driftwood.
Here in Gold Beach are several restaurants, shops, and two grocery stores so you won't have to go far to find the basics or try out the varied eateries. If you want to check out the other cities around the Southern Coast, you can drive south about 30 miles to Brookings or north about 30 miles to Port Orford, though charming Gold Beach has everything you might need.
With the Rogue River flowing just north of town, this region is a fantastic place for fishing, crabbing, rafting, and boating. Book a spot on a charter, or set out on your own to seek adventure. Plus, with the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest stretching to the east, there are plenty of hiking, mountain biking, and exploring options at your fingertips. Enjoy a close proximity to the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor. Just pick a trailhead and go!

Very nice place! Great location and everything you could need! Fenced yard was great for our dog!
4.7
The deck gives you a view of the harbor, river and ocean. We got to see beautiful sunsets and the cresent moon set, too.
A little road noise from below. The duplex is well kept but a bit of an odd layout. There is no livingroom to enjoy the view from when it gets cool on the deck. Overall the little house was clean except the shower and mate. Get out the bleach and get s new shower mat. There was lint balls all over the bed, floor and bedspread. The towels and sheets were very nice, and the bed comfortable. The dog treats & bowl were a nice surprise.
4.7
This was a nice little home, it needs some work but was a great stay! The yard is perfect for the dogs. The bed was so comfy and towels were so soft! I would stay here again if needed! The house next door is available too, but they have a rock yard instead of grass. Perfect for two people and two dogs.
4.7
There were so many spiders and spider webs. The bathroom is awful the shower and sink both plug up and drain slowly. I'm glad I brought my own pillow because there was a blood stain on one of the pillows under the case. The bed was very comfortable and the house was quiet. The alley it is in is sketchy, but I grew up in the area so I personally felt safe. The deck needs some repair but it had a great yard for the dogs. I think it needs some work, but would stay there again if available. It was a great sized house for two people. I will just be bringing my own bedding, toilet paper, and coffee mugs (too small).

The home was very clean. The driveway is very steep. There are 5 wooden steps you have to go up to get into the house. We loved that we could bring all 4 of our dogs!! The yard was perfect for them. No one was staying in the neighboring cottage when we were there, which was good, because our dogs would have barked at every noise on the other side of the shared fence. So, beware of that if you have barkers, like we do. There are houses all around the cottage, but it was very quiet and serene.
The view over the harbor is great. The seals come up on the boat docks regularly, and we could hear them talking to each other. Lots of osprey and bald eagles fishing in the harbor.
We had great weather while we were there, so it was easy to spend time on the deck and walk for hours on the beautiful sandy beaches. Everything in Gold Beach is super close- just a minute or two drive to a store or restaurant. We really loved this little get away!

Beautiful view of the river and ocean. Cottage was clean and well stocked with essentials.

Grass was 4 feet tall in back and was hard to see dogs and find droppings until mowed day before we left.
Under bed needs to cleaned bad.
Bathroom sink does not drain.

It was great, nice view to the beach small town. Nice and quietly.

Really loved our stay there, quiet location, amazing view, great deck to sit outside and look at the view, loved the fenced yard for our dog, was nice to let her out knowing she was safe outside. Great proximity to shops and restaurants in the area. Very clean and quiet location. Would definitely stay again next time we are in town.

This was our 4th stay at this property. It is comfortable and convenient. The yard was beautiful and our dog loved the space.
4.7
This was a great place to stay on our first vacation with a dog. The fenced yard made it so easy, and the little extras like treats and a special dog towel made all of us feel welcome. The kitchen is very well equipped. Even though it's just off 101, traffic noise wasn't bad, especially at night. Great view from the spacious deck. Just minor quibbles: the rooms are oddly configured and the easy chairs were strangely placed opposite the murphy bed/desk. (Maybe add a lamp?) Carpet is stained but we detected no odor.
4.7
Lots of wildlife beautiful view
4.7
Cozy and clean. Great view of the 4th of July fireworks shows. Easy short access to stores and restaurants.
4.7
The views are great. There is a big deck to sit on and enjoy the sun. The yard is fenced for the dogs and they really enjoyed the treat jar. The road up to the house is very steep. The one con to staying at this house is that the bath towels were not dry, not even close. I did not discover this until I went to take a shower. It took an hour in the dryer to get them dry.

We love the dog-friendly smaller size home with great decks, fenced yard and reasonably priced. Close to town with lots of hospitable friendly folks with cute shops and restaurants. We had a spectacular front row seat to Osprey nesting season and seal pup season. We’ve already booked a return trip for more days. Great couples getaway or solo with your fur besties!

This little cottage was perfect for our weekend spent exploring the coast. The deck in the backyard allowed for some great sunset views and overall views of the ocean. Our little dogs loved the fenced backyard. We would certainly stay here again.

Just loved the cabin and the location. Unbelievable view!!
Kitchen fully equipment with pots, pans and baking dishes. Lots of little things like salt, pepper, napkins, dish towels, coffee filters, tea bags, etc ...
Great deck and BBQ area.

We loved our stay. Comfortable Cottage, comfy bed, great deck, great views and great pet friendly cottage with a yard for our pups. We will be back!

We had a little problem with the bathroom sink but I understand the problem is being resolved. This unit has a great view and it's close to town Jerry's Jet Boat launch is about 2 block away. I plan to rent it again.

This cottage is perfect for a couples get away. From the spacious deck you can see the ocean, the river and the harbor.

Nice view of the harbor and we enjoyed the sunsets from the comfy deck. A perfect home base for all of our outdoor adventures. The cottage has everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
4.7
The view of the Rogue River is amazing. Waking up to that view with a nice cup of coffee/tea is unbeatable. We also brought our dog and she loved the big spacious yard. There’s a big tree for coverage and it is fully fenced in! Plus the local dog treats were a nice touch. Great big open kitchen space too. And the bed was super comfy. It was close enough to town but didn’t feel like you were right in it. Great spot overall! Can’t wait to go back!

Very easy to rent and add on dog and late check out. Wish we had received the early check in earlier. 4:00 is a very late check in.
Place was perfect. Neighborhood quiet but felt sketchy, but it wasn’t. Very dog friendly!

This cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay when exploring the beautiful southern Oregon coast. The view here is great, bring binoculars if you want to watch the ospreys hunting! We appreciated that our dog was welcomed, and he really enjoyed his time here as well.
4.7
Property was very clean when we arrived! Description of property was very accurate, excellent views! Has most everything we needed inside. Only one suggestion, to have an umbrella on the table on the deck!
4.7
Great view of the fireworks😎. Only kind of bad was they want you out by 10 AM=Doesn’t work for me,

Great Views!
The cottage sits on a bluff and has wonderful sunsets. Enjoyed the large kitchen and comfortable bed. Perfect for two people and a dog. Yard was fenced and allowed our dog to enjoy her time away from her backyard. The location worked out well for our day trips to see the Oregon coast.

Thos place was quiet, had an excellent view and a lovely yard. Located in the center of town just across the street from a great restaurant. We would absolutely stay here again.

I enjoyed this home. The view over the harbor was awesome! Especially at sunset! The stars! I could see so many stars sitting on the deck. When I left for a day trip I was greeted by 4 deer in the driveway.
I did struggle with the blinking lights coming from the television equipment (i.e. cable box, wifi, etc.). Made it difficult to sleep or at the very least, get to sleep. Otherwise it was nice and quiet. Thank you for letting me use your home.
