This newly appointed two bedroom, two bathroom home is a 2 minute walk to the incredible breathtaking Tropic of Cancer Beach - two miles of pure white sand and turquoise glistening waters. A sight to behold! A wrap around deck offers comfortable seating at any time of day. The outside living space shares a panoramic view of the beach, incredible sunrises and unbelievable sunsets. Space for a rental car and outside shower are small amenities to add to the comfort of your stay.

This was the cutest little cottage in the most beautiful part of the island. I was clean and perfect for a family vacation to Exuma. Owners were so easy to communicate with and answered my message every time immediately. We would definitely book this place again

The house proposed by Jacquie and Sandra is beautiful, equiped with everything's needed, confortable beds, etc... and perfectly located. Very near to the amazing Tropic of Cancer Beach with the great sound of the Nature. The owners were also very reactive and helpful. We thank them for everything and definitely recommend this rental.

This house was in an amazing location. Just a couple minutes walk from the entrance to Tropic of Cancer beach and Brea's snack shack (try the conch fritters and get some frozen drinks!). The bedding was great, and there were plentiful good quality beach towels. The layout and floor to ceiling windows made it feel amazing! Being able to do laundry was awesome. However, the most important thing to me is cleanliness and based on prior reviews I thought it would be clean. Unfortunately, I think attention to detail has been neglected and it is in need of a good deep clean, so that made it hard to relax. There were lots of cobwebs with spiders and there were roaches in the kitchen cabinets. No dishwasher and with the roaches you'll want to wash all your dishes before you use them anyway. The cabinets need a scrub both inside and out. You also can't open the sliding doors and windows for the breeze because noseeums can get through the screens, so that was a bummer, but the AC was great. With a good deep clean and some pest control I would absolutely stay here again, but until those two things are addressed I wouldn't recommend it.

We wish the house listing or the communication with the owner/ manager would at least mention that this is an issue, so we can be aware and protect against it.
Instead, the information sheet indicated that "if you open the sliding glass doors and leave the screens closed there is a great cross breeze". Which is what we did after we arrived, and great breeze indeed, but "almost invisible" bugs (no-see ums) got in the house through the screen mesh and ate us alive, daytime and nighttime. We didn't even know what's happening to us until on a fourth day we met a neighbor and heard for the first time of the existence of these bugs. Needless to say, the first night was the only one of good sleep, the others were marred by constant itching and biting, and we all returned home with arms and legs full of little red bites.
Other than that, the owner is very prompt, the house is beautifully decorated and spacious, and the Tropic of Cancer beach is great.
The road from Georgetown to Little Exuma is not perfect, but it's manageable. The portion from the Queen's Highway to the house though is in really bad shape, and it's not even paved. The good part is that it is short, maybe 2 minutes. You can make it with a sedan, but an SUV would make it easier.
All in all, we had a good time, but the no-see ums really took the shine out of our joy.

We loved our stay at Tranquility Hut and absolutely fell in love with Tropic of Cancer Beach, it truly is the best beach in the area. The home was spotless and larger than we expected. Based on the description we had assumed the house would be a little closer to the beach, but it was still a very short walk. Overall a wonderful, restful stay and we would recommend it to anyone.

Tranquility is a perfect get away from the busy work life. My wife and I really loved the outdoor space around the house and the breeze in the evening. We used the kayaks to get out to the islands off the beach. This house has everything you need to escape from life for a few days!

The house was located just a couple of minutes walk away from the most beautiful beach in Exuma. We really enjoyed all of the balconies and close proximity to the beach. The owners were very responsive with any issue we encountered. The house has pretty much everything you need. It is located on a quiet side of the island so expect to drive 30 minutes each way to get to the closest grocery store and gas station. The road going to the house isn't the best (pretty bumpy) but you're only on it for a few minutes before reaching the main road. Outside of this, everything was great!

It’s close to the Tropic of Cancer Beach, but from what I can tell you have to drive aways to find snorkelling, if that’s of interest. There are two restaurants nearby. We tried Santanna’s and it was quite good. Very quiet!

Stay at tranquility
Our stay at tranquility was wonderful. The house was located very close to the beach. There were ample towels and bedding. It was was a short walk to a beautiful beach on the tropics of cancer. There Was no sponge.

Great Secluded Spot
Easy check in and check out process. Property was clean and as described on the listing. Be aware that, like many places on Exuma, the road to the property is a little rough. But, it’s totally worth it for the relaxing secluded location with one of the nicest beaches on the island a 2 minute walk away!

Tropic of Cancer Getaway!
This property had all we could ask for. We had 2 couples and we were within walking distance to the best beach on Exuma and we took advantage of that everyday!! Great vacation!!!

Perfect place for quick getaway.
Had a great trip to the Idland. House is a 2 br and the interior has been updated. Exterior needs some attention but was perfect foe the 4 days I was there.

The perfect little house
This is my second stay at this property. It is the most adorable little house just a very short stroll from Tropic of Cancer beach - far enough away to be very private but just steps from the beach. The kitchen has everything you need (the hot plate, grill and toaster are perfect, you don't need an oven). The deck is lovely for afternoon novel reading reading and night-time stargazing. The hosts are extremely responsive, and Tina is nearby to help if needed. She dropped everything to take us to the airport when our rental car had a flat and the spare tire was flat as well. If you stay here, say hello to Sandy and Brea at the beach bar, and definitely go to Mom's for the coconut bread and the amazing rum cake!

Great spot on amazing beach
We were there in early March. I was there with my wife and 2 year old son. The place was great. Tropic of Cancer Beach is beautiful.
The house was a one minute walk to the beach. It feels like a nice beach house. The island was quiet and perfect for spending time out on the water.
When the wind is low, make sure you have the bug spray and oil on your feet, as the sand flies can get you.

Tranqulity is stunning, beautifully designed and decorated. The view from each side of the wrap around deck is unique and breathtaking. We felt cosy and safe but also immersed in nature. But please bring bug spray. Do your research on no-see-ums.

A few days of Tranquility
The property is an older home updated very nicely. It was clean and efficient. The furniture was comfortable, as was the bedding.
The showers a bit small but appropriate. The Kitchen was compact and a little tricky, but we cooked anything we wanted without incidents.
Loved the surrounding deck, great breeze most of the time. Had a bonus kitty cat that was the friendliest and totally fearless.
We truly spent our time very comfortably, and for the price, it was a bargain.

Tranquility
Absolutely wonderful property. Great location; very short walk to a fabulous beach (you can see some ocean from the porch), neighborhood felt safe. Kayaks were a lot of fun and there was a lot of ocean life to see snorkeling out front. Property manager was easy and pleasant to deal with and very prompt to reply. Five gallon water dispenser came in very handy! We would definitely stay here again.

Great access to the beach!
This was a very quaint beach cottage that we definitely enjoyed. The owners were VERY GOOD about communications and told us the washing machine was not working in advance and also let us know that they could have someone take care of our laundry for free if necessary. I even had to call because internet access did not allow for me to see the lockbox code when I arrived and they answered on the first call. Tropic of Cancer Beach is only a two minute walk and can be seen from the deck. The property itself was recently updated and it looked great. The two bedrooms and three beds worked out perfectly for our family of four. The only reason that it was not five stars was the kitchen does not have a true oven and stovetop. There is a two burner hotplate and a countertop oven along with a small gas grill on the deck which worked out for us but it is something that others might have issues with. We would definitely stay in this home again.

Wonderful house off the beaten path
A lovely two minute walk from Tropic of Cancer beach, this house is perfect for anyone who wants a quieter vacation away from some of the more bustling parts of Great Exuma. While it's a bit far to get to some amenities (probably a 30 minute drive to get to some of the convenience stores/groceries), the trade off is that you get to walk to one of the best and quietest beaches on the island. Jacquie and Sandra were super communicative and helpful when we needed them as well. Would highly recommend!

Tranquility Cottage Lives Up to Its Name!
We had a great time staying at Tranquility Cottage on the Tropic of Cancer Beach. If you are looking for a quiet, secluded beach vacation, this is it. Tropic of Cancer Beach is one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen. The sand is white and soft and the water is so clear and blue you can see your feet as far out as you can go. We never saw more than two or three people on the beach, so it really was our own private beach while we there. The cottage itself is comfortable, well-appointed, with all the things you will need for daily living. The layout of the house is great: you can close a door and keep the bedrooms and the living space separated to keep the early risers from waking up the late sleepers.. The bathrooms have been remodeled and the showers are fully tiled with rainfall showerheads.
Little Exuma is still wild and undeveloped. It is remote; you have to travel at least 30 minutes for groceries and there are only a few places where you can go out to eat. Everything runs on island time, so be prepared to wait or for posted hours of business to not apply. It may seem a little inconvenient for those of us who are used to grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops every other block. That said, it is so worth it to experience the beaches.
We would love to stay at Tranquility Cottage again. The owners are super easy to work with and the property manager is very responsive. Highly recommended!

Perfect house for a quiet vacation.
Tranquility is in a perfect location for a quiet getaway. The house is an easy and short walk to the Tropic of Cancer beach. We spent almost all of our time there, and were so happy to have the house close by. The house came with beach chairs, an umbrella, and sea kayaks.
The bedrooms and bathrooms were furnished nicely and very comfortable. AC worked great in the back bedrooms. The kitchen needs a little love, but it had everything we needed. It would have been nice to have some extra paper products (ex. paper towels) in the house. We also would have liked to have more filtered water available. Overall, we had an awesome trip and would definitely recommend Tranquility.

A property that lives up to its name!
Everything about this place was terrific. The location was perfect for us, a couple minutes walk to our favorite beach (Tropic of Cancer Beach) and a few minutes drive to Forbes Hill Beach. We visited the beach at Forbes Hill twice and were the only ones there. The house is within five minutes of my favorite restaurant on either island, Santanna’s.
The House was very clean and decorated nicely. The AC units kept things nice and cool. The bedrooms were very relaxing. Do bring a couple bars of soap and shampoo from home, as well as laundry detergent. The washer and dryer are newer models, and large. They were great! We didn’t have to leave for home with dirty clothes.
The kitchen lacks a traditional stove, but this was not a problem at all. There is a large griddle, two burner hot plate, microwave, large toaster oven and a gas grill outside. We had no problem preparing a meal at home one evening. We had fresh New York Strip steak (purchased from Prime Island Meats located between Georgetown and the airport), mashed sweet potatoes, and stir fry vegetables (purchased at Exuma Market in Georgetown). The steak was magnificent. Very tender and a wonderful taste, only seasoned with salt and pepper. Prime Island Meats is the only place in the island that cuts straight from the slab.
The property manager (Tina) was accessible if we needed her. She brought by two five gallon jugs of drinking water to use with a Primo station. Wonderful feature.
We had a wonderful stay and hope to return for some more “Tranquility.”
