About this chalet rental
Our charming chalet sleeps 4 people very comfortably. Located on a sunny wooded lot, guests love the close proximity to town/lifts, private hot tub, and wood fireplace. There is ample parking, a full kitchen, laundry, and satellite TV. A great place for mountain getaways. Couples, families (with children older than 3), and low-key people will find it a perfect match.
Our typical quiet residential neighborhood is currently not so quiet on our street (as of September 2024). There are 2 homes that are being built with construction noise during the day. The house beside us (towards town) was removed and they are building a new house on that spot. Currently, they are pouring the new foundation. We are not sure how noisy it will be during your requested dates. The house on the corner has walls going up. No roof yet. Please be comfortable with construction noise and trucks, during the day, if you make a reservation request.
The chalet is light and bright with high ceilings and many windows. Living room has a wood fireplace and sliding doors to the deck and hot tub. Fabulous stargazing from deck and hot tub. The hot tub in on the front desk facing the road (see photos). Fully equipped kitchen, wi-fi, and smart TV. Washer and dryer in basement. Fully furnished including linens.
There is one king bed, one queen bed and one single mattress. Mattresses are firm with pillow tops. We are firm about renting to a max of 4 people. Please do not send a reservation request if your group has the potential of more than 4 people, including children, or you need 4 beds (the living room leather sofa is not an option for sleeping).
NO SMOKING/VAPING and NO DRUGS on the entire property, inside or outside (including marijuana). WE ARE HIGHLY SENSITIVE TO SMOKE, smoke smell on clothing, cigarette butts in trash - please choose another property if anyone is your group (or anyone who may visit you) is a smoker. We will confirm this when accepting a reservation request. If you have questions, please send them an inquiry NOT a reservation request.
We are on property most weekdays (usually not on weekends) in the basement apartment. It has a back, private entrance and you may not know anyone is around except if you see someone parking a car. The main house is very private and you can make yourselves completely at home.
When booking properties in the mountains, it is highly recommended to purchase cancellation insurance to cover all cancellation risks: mountain weather conditions that could delay or block your arrival, unforeseen life events, tragedies, health issues, family situations etc. The cancellation policy for this property is 60 days prior to arrival and dates are not transferable and can not be gifted to others.

If you have a car there is a parking space, and a 3 minute drive gets you to the Breckenridge Resort gondola (or the free bus will take you there twice an hour). Other ski resorts (Copper Mountain, Keystone, Vail, Arapahoe Basin, and Loveland Pass) are within a short drive. Breckenridge is 105 miles from Denver International Airport.

The surrounding area is really pretty, however there was construction going on across the street which was noisy and because the chalet is pretty close to the street and the hot tub is right on the deck in the front of the chalet it felt intrusive and very loud (cement trucks and workers) We were told the husband would be there Tuesday and we felt like more of our privacy would be invaded, and he didn’t show until sometime in the night on Wednesday. Communication was slow or not at all.The bedding was old and too heavy for summertime and overall just didn’t smell or look fresh and clean, and there was no other options. So overall we were disappointed and felt it was priced to high for what it was.

Our host, Bonnie, went above and beyond to make sure we knew about some of the highlights we inquired of in Breckenridge. The location of the home was perfect. It is quiet and serene, yet we were a short half of a mile walk from all of the shops and dining downtown. Clint’s bakery was a suggested coffee house by Bonnie and it was all that we wanted for our breakfasts and more. We had all we needed at the home and enjoyed the “comfort” of our hosts decor and memorabilia. The Home was very comfortable for my husband and I, we did not use the upstairs loft, however, it looked comfortable and cozy as well. House was immaculate, keyless entry, washer and dryer in the home and any items you would need in a kitchen and bath! We would love to stay here again. Thank you again and God bless!

We had a wonderful stay at a unique property in Breckenridge. The owners are friendly, easily accessible, and take great pride in this home. The home is immaculate and in a quiet section of town. Nearby free bus routes make getting around town and to the resort easy. We look forward to future visits to Breckenridge and will definitely request this property again.

We loved our stay at the cozy ski cabin. I would stay here again as it is walkable to downtown Breckenridge but far enough from the crowded condos that it feels peaceful. We parked at the slopes each morning but you could easily ride the free shuttle or we saw some people walking with their skis. The cabin had everything we needed and the hot tub was lovely at night. Fans were provided in every room. Lots of towels and necessities. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is our second time saying at this location and we absolutely love it. It's walkable to Main Street and has a very close bus stop to get anywhere else in town. The owners are great and are very efficient communicators. The house has everything we need for our family! It's comfy and cozy.

All the ski village condos we’ve stayed at blend together, which makes all our ski trips blend together. This house is so authentic and unique, and was perfect for our family of four. Our own hot tub, fabulous fireplace, and a great neighborhood of foxes and people walking dogs of all kinds made our time off the mountain as memorable as the great dinners and ski time. Great location, close to Main Street (we admit we didn’t walk but could have if our legs were weren’t so tired from skiing!).

This was our first visit to Breckenridge. The property was comfortable for a family of four. Bonnie had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable which is usually a problem for us. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife, hot tub, and fireplace. I feel like we got a true Colorado experience and it would not have been the same staying at a condo or hotel.

This is our 5th year. such a comfortable and lovely home. Hosts are amazing and so helpful and accommodating. We have had many wonderful memories. The home is clean and you just feel like you are at home.

We loved out stay! The house was adorable and had everything we needed for our family. The location made walking or riding the bus into town very easy and quick. Having a hot tub to ease our muscles after skiing was a wonderful plus and there was lots of space for the kids to sled and play in the snow. The owners were great with communication and labeled almost everything which made it easier to settle in and understand the house. Definitely recommend!!

The property is clean and well maintained. Hot tub and plenty of towels were waiting for us after a long day of skiing. The house is well within walking distance to town and the gandula but I would recommend planning on driving or taking the bus. The sidewalks were snow packed and icy during our stay. I would absolutely look this place up again if traveling with a small party or as a couple. Overall a wonderful place to stay and host was warm and accessible.

My family and I stayed here over Christmas break and loved the cozy ambiance of this darling cabin! Nestled in the forest, it provided seclusion with easy access to the trolley stop and minutes to downtown. The cabin was immaculate with all necessary kitchen appliances and utensils available & easy instructions posted throughout. The hot tub on the spacious deck was perfect and very clean; the beds were comfy and we also loved the wood burning fireplace and bird watching from the kitchen window. Kids were 7 & 13 and staying here gave them that true mountain experience; snow angels in the yard, snow man building, just what we were hoping for. They can't wait to come back! :)

This property is cozy, clean and has the 2 things we love, outdoor hot tub and wood fire fire place. The hosts are the best! Great communication, happy to help, but leaves you to enjoy your stay.

Wonderful location, super clean. A frame is so fun and nice. Hot tub wonderful. A few things we noticed: a strong moth ball smell on the property. It wasn’t as noticeable as you cooked and lived in it but it was definitely there. (We think maybe from the fireplace? We would notice it outside too. Maybe it was just the time of year, Labor Day weekend. But we were surprised no one had mentioned it in other reviews). Also worth noting that the stairs to get to the loft area are narrow and steep and there isn’t really anything to hold on to as you go up and down. There’s just kind of some bars you can hang on to. We had our 4.5 year old son with us. We were warned about the opening in the railing in the lofted area, but not sure we appreciated the steep stairs. It made us a little nervous since the bathroom was downstairs. He did fine and probably rolled his eyes at us when we told him be careful! But just worth noting if you have a younger one with you. Still a great stay!

Our entire stay was so relaxing with nothing but blue skies and the occasional thunderstorm to interrupt the peace and quiet. The house was perfect for us, had everything we needed and was close enough to Breckenridge to walk into town. The owners were great hosts and responsive to any questions.

An adorable a frame cabin.
My suggestion would be to add screens. We had a couple wasps get inside. A door screen would be nice for air flow and to keep the foxes out. Other than that, we loved staying here! It was a somewhat crowded neighborhood over the 4th of July.

Clean, comfortable and cozy. The neighborhood was busy and not quite as low key as I had hoped. But it was a holiday weekend so there were a lot of people and traffic.

Party included my son, his buddy and his buddy’s father and the house was a perfect fit. Location was great, either a short walk to Main St or hopping the bus (stop is just a few steps away) to town or gondola.

Favorite stay in Breck!
This chalet is perfect! Walking distance to town and close to the free bus, but a world away! It is tucked away in the forest, quiet and ideal for star gazing from the hot tub after skiing. It is cozy but spacious, the beds were sooo comfortable and everything we needed was supplied and impeccably organized. The hosts were gracious and responsive. We felt like we were staying with friends we haven’t met yet. Highly recommended!

Beautiful cabin , perfect location
Very thoughtful hosts! The location can’t be beat, away from the hustle of Main Street when you want it but also an easy 12 min walk or short free bus ride (stop is right down the street). Cabin was cozy, we absolutely loved it. The big selling point was the private hot tub you can sit under the stars or in the snow. A wonderful experience! I highly recommend, would totally go back!

Great hidden gem in Breck!
Super relaxing, quant little Aframe just above town. Easy to get to anything and fun location. Jacuzzi was relaxing, beds were comfy and scenery was great. Great hosts!

The best
This was the best home we’ve ever rented. It was clean, there are labels on everything so you know how to use it and where switches are. It’s a 15 minute walk into town. Super cozy and we would absolutely book again!

Romantic Adventure Basecamp
A shoulder-season getaway was just what the doctor ordered. We were thrilled to greet the sunrises with coffee in the hot-tub, and to bid the day goodnight in front of a roaring fire. This spotless jewel exceeded our highest hopes for a romantic retreat. Perfectly situated two minutes from downtown (?) Breck, the Haus offered an turnkey experience for restless travelers. We availed ourselves of the loft for sleeping, and enjoyed coffee and snacking in the lovely kitchen and dining area. Perfect weather coupled with a VERY quiet neighborhood provided a relaxing weekend away from too-hot South Florida.
The Askelends were generous and responsive hosts—the check-in/out was easy, and the accommodations clean, thoughtful and well appointed. We will return.

Girls getaway!
This property is absolutely the best! Warm, inviting, and quaint. We have been doing a girls weekend for 3 years here at this property and it is the best experience every time! Clean, beds are cozy and comfy, fire place, hot tub, it's on a quiet street and close to down town. The hosts are so gracious and accommodating. We are back every year!

a great getaway
This was the cutest house on an adorable street. I was traveling with several ladies just looking to unwind and the A-frame was beyond perfect. Everything is very well thought out. As of my companions mentioned if you had a question about something it was like a laminated sign appeared with instructions. Would love to return if ever back in Breck.
