About this house rental
This spacious 3448 sq ft single level Mid-Century Modern home is close to everything! Just 1/3 mile to La Jolla Shores Beach and steps to La Jolla Shores Village. Situated on a flat lot, guests are greeted with a circular driveway with convenient and coveted off-street parking. The front gate enters to a large private courtyard which includes a deck with grill, outside dining and outdoor seating arrangement. Entering the front door you will find the Parlor/Entertainment room (15’x18’) with a 65" flat-screen tv. Continue through the Foyer and enter the Great Room (32’x21’) - an open space which includes a formal dining area (seats 10), fireplace seating area, and Ping Pong Table. This room features 12' ceilings and an expansive wall of tall windows with views to the back yard. The kitchen adjoins this room and includes a breakfast dining area (seats 6) which accesses the courtyard. The kitchen is fully equipped with dining service for 12 guests, small appliances, cooking accessories and basic pantry items. You might also enjoy the 10+ restaurants down the street - we sure do! The Foyer accesses the Hallway to Bedrooms, Bathrooms and Laundry Room:

We love retuning to this wonderful home with the family. There is plenty of space for everyone with a beautiful back yard. There are plenty of sand toys with beach chairs and umbrellas. Belinda is an attentive hostess and quick to respond to any question. It's hard to beat the location with many restaurants within walking distance and a short walk to the beach with nearby markets that have some of everything. We look forward to another return visit.

This is our 5th stay at this property.
It’s perfect for all ages. The owners thoughtfully provide possibilities for all ages. The young ones love the big blocks. All ages enjoy the ping pong and corn hole. All the beach gear and accessories are provided from beach chairs to surf and boogie boards to sand toys and a wagon to haul it all to the beach.
If you love the beach, this is the spot!

Our three generational family stayed comfortably in this beautiful home. Plenty of space for everyone and the location is perfect. We could not have asked for a better homebase for our vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked and plenty of beach toys.

Annual family summer vacation with extended family (6 adults and 4 kids),: property has an amazing location in La Jolla shores. Quiet neighborhood but walking distance to shopping/restaurants and beach.Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the outdoors. Kitchen is well stocked and updated. The house has lots of beach items including wagon, sands toys etc.
Older iconic home with plenty of light and space.
Although no a/c there are fans in rooms and since so close to beach it cools off at night.
We really enjoyed our time here and would book again in the future.

This home is just a few minutes walk from La Jolla Shores beach and many restaurants and shops along the way. We were pleased with the home and accommodations, but the extra amenities and items the home had on hand were amazing!
There were lots of extras available including Beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, games, Ice chests, sand toys, boogie boards and surfboards, and anything else you could possibly need at the beach. As well as many other misc items at the property. Cornhole, board games, card games, etc. Parking on the driveway is nice and alleviates having to find parking on the street.
The hosts are very easy to get in touch with and were available to help with anything we needed during our stay.

We could not have been happier with this house for our extended family of 9! The 5 bedrooms allowed everyone plenty of room and privacy and the second family room allowed us to create another bedroom with our air mattress. The house is very spacious with a great room that has a long dining room table for large family meals. There is also a fold up ping pong table which kept everyone entertained while at home. The kitchen is also great with all the modern appliances.
But the very best part of this house is its location on the Main Street called Avenida de La Playa! As soon as you cross the Main Street you have cafes, restaurants, surf and kayak shops and adorable souvenir shops. Within a few blocks you are at the beach where you will find all kinds of activities happening. We enjoyed a kayak tour that guided us to the cove right from the beach! All in all we could not have been happier with this house and the hosts were great to communicate and easy to communicate with!

We totally enjoyed our stay! Communication with the owners was timely, the location was excellent with easy access to multiple restaurants, shops, and the beach. The house was clean and welcoming. The amenities exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend!

The house was beautiful and in such a great location. It was very spacious and well maintained. The kitchen was upgraded recently and has really nice appliances, as well as, all the utensils you could imagine. We were able to cook dinner every night pretty easily. There are several restaurants/cafes within walking distances. The market down the street was nice if you need something quick and the breakfast was really good. You're right in the middle of a bunch of houses, but the house itself feels so private and secluded.
We did have to move a couple things out of reach of young children to make sure they didn't break anything, but for the most part it was kid friendly. There are 2 cribs and a couple pack n plays, there's one high chair, and lots of child friendly dishes. The tall fences were nice with young kids. There is only one TV, but we didn't have a problem with that.
Overall, it exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We loved the house!! The style of the house was so beautiful! And the large windows to see the beautiful back yard and flowers were amazing! The ping pong table was used well by our group. The beach gear/towels just perfect. The appliances in kitchen were all new and very wonderful! WELL stocked kitchen!! We love to cook! Ample space for our group to be together and to spread out. The grounds are so beautiful! Quiet neighborhood for sleeping. Beds/linens all comfy. A 10 min walk to beach! Great local shopping within 1 min walk. Driveway more than enough for parking! If needed, we will 100% return!! Thank you!! ONLY thing we could have asked for -there was no shampoo or conditioner - so that would’ve been icing on the cake, well even more than icing. But would’ve been a nice extra touch. Otherwise ALL things were stocked well.

The house was perfect for a group of 5 friends to get together for a weekend of golf. Just 10 min to a Torrey Pines, close to the beach, and walkable for groceries, restaurants and such. The house is very well maintained and appointed. The kitchen is fantastic and well supplied. I would definitely stay there again. The owner is also very responsive and accommodating!

This was a great stay! We've been coming to La Jolla Shores for decades and normally stay at the La Jolla Shores or Beach & Tennis Club but were coming with 2 joint families so wanted a big house that could accommodate multiple adult couples and their kids + SOs and this was perfect.
The house was bigger than we thought it would be in pictures! 5 great bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (no communal bathroom in the common areas, all are attached to bedrooms) - each bedroom had amazing space & touches (aka no bad bedroom!)
The kitchen is beautiful and had everything we needed for a gorgeous dinner. Our last night, the front key pad ran out of batteries so we were locked out at midnight upon returning home, but we were able to get ahold of Belinda and she came over quickly to let us in!
Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Best accommodation possible. Walk to everything. Kitchen new and beautifully equipped. We love to cook for our family, and it was a pleasure in this professionally-equipped kitchen. Even the cutlery was professional quality. The house is laid out so that everyone can have their own space if desired. The outdoor spaces are numerous and private. Something for everyone: hammock, lounge furniture, dinner table.

This lovely house was perfect for our family group coming from a variety of locations ranging from New Zealand to the U.S. east coast. Seven of us stayed here and five more in another nearby house but everyone was able to gather for evening meals prepared in the newly renovated kitchen and served at the large dining room table. Our host, Belinda, was immediately responsive in taking care of the few minor problems that occurred during our stay.

The house was perfect for our family vacation! There was plenty of space for 6 adults and three young children to visit and still have some room for alone time. The location was perfect; shops, food, and beach all within walking distance.
The house had everything you need from kitchenware to beach toys. Parking for four cars was a definite plus.
Belinda was quick to respond to any question before and during our stay.

The house was in the perfect location as it was a short walk to restaurants and the beach. Literally 20 minutes or less to get anywhere around San Diego in our rental car. House was beautiful and had plenty of space for our group of 9, which included 5 kids. Would definitely stay here again.

The lay out is great for bigger groups. Plenty of space. We love all the beach gear provided...towels, chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, surfboards, umbrellas, wagon.
Wonderful assortment of books for all ages. BBQ is nice in the patio off the breakfast room. Ping pong table always fun. Location is walking distance to beach. The village is charming with assortment of shops and restaurants. The owners are always accessible and easy to communicate with. We look forward to a stay here next summer!

This is our 3rd year coming back to this amazing house! Our family loves the large bedrooms & bathrooms, movie room and big family room. We enjoy cooking in the perfectly stocked kitchen and the kids love playing in the fenced in front & back yards. It’s perfect for every age group! We look forward to coming back each year. The hosts are so helpful and were able to accommodate a date change when we had something come up during our originally scheduled dates. I can’t say enough good things about this house. I’m always sad to leave it. See you next summer!

This is a great family house in a great location that is walkable to town and the beach. This is the second time we have rented and will be renting again next year. This is a fully stocked house and very clean. I would highly recommend this rental.

The house had everything we needed including a crib, excellent kitchen set up, large comfortable rooms, outdoor space, even beach chairs. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants was a huge benefit. Belinda was prompt and helpful with all my questions. We truly enjoyed staying here.

We're locals who know area well and we picked this house for our family staycation. The house is well stocked and the hosts have thought of everything from supplying surfboards...to firewood to beach gear.

Iconic mid century house that has some wearing. Foggy when we stayed and house was cold; thermostats did not work. Good thing it has a wood stove. Location is great and house design is great.

Great place for our reunion! Our beds were very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this home.. There was one curious thing, we never found the 5th bathroom, unless they counted the shared bathroom as 2, which was of no consequence to us at all! We give this the highest rating!

Our group of friends (8 adults, 1 infant) had the most wonderful stay at the La Jolla Shores beach house. We were pinching ourselves with disbelief that we had found such a perfect rental! The house is aesthetically beautiful, with an ideal layout for large group gatherings, cozy fireplace, comfortable beds, and plenty of bathrooms. The outdoor space is beautiful with mature landscaping, an outdoor shower, and everything you need for a walk down to the beach (chairs, surf and boogie boards, toys for kids, and a wagon to carry it all). The beach is a dream for surfers and sitters alike, and we enjoyed walks along the sand and adjacent path multiple times a day. Access to the beach is only half the draw of the location, however--it is also steps away from lovely restaurants, cafes, a sweet market, and everything you need to support your stay. We had intentions to explore other parts of San Diego but were so happy in La Jolla we stayed put the whole time! Can't recommend this place highly enough. We can't wait to go back.

We were in town for a family wedding- and between the whole family we had rented out several houses in La Jolla. This was by far everyone’s favorite. The location, the amazing architecture and character of the house, everything about it was great. Our only regret was not having either of the wedding parties use this location to get photos which would have been incredible. This is the first location we will look to rent if we come back to La Jolla.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience and house for our first stay in the San Diego area. The house had plenty of room for 2 families with two young boys each and a set of grandparents. There were so many food options - kitchen stocked for all the cooking you'd want to do and restaurants galore within walking distance. If we ever get back to the area, we will certainly look to stay here again!

We’ve stayed at many VRBOs over the years, and this lovely home was our all-time favorite. Just gorgeous, spacious, an incredibly well-stocked kitchen, several inviting outdoor relaxing areas— I could go on and on. And we had a blast playing ping pong!
Belinda was immediately responsive and gracious in response to a couple of questions and requests.
The location is perfect- a very short walk to the beach and restaurants.

The house was a wonderful space that easily accommodated our group of 4 couples— adequate private space and facilities and great group space. While we enjoyed the many neighborhood eateries and did not cook, the kitchen was fully equipped. Overall, our group has traveled together around the world and stayed in many settings, this stay ranks near the top.
