RDU Airport - 7 miles / NC State Fairgrounds - 9 miles / NC State Univ. - 9.5 miles Duke/Hospital - 17 miles / Downtown Raleigh - 10 miles / Research Triangle Park - 12 miles UNC - 22 miles / Downtown Durham - 15 miles / WRAL Soccer Field - 10 miles
Lake Lynn Park is only a mile away. With a 2.5 mile trail around the lake, tennis courts and play ground. Getting outdoors for a little exercise is just down the road.
We do allow up to 2 dogs 60 lbs. or less. (dogs only! NO CATS!) There is a $150 fee and must be included on your reservation. They must have a current rabies vaccination, crate trained and well behaved. We provide a very large crate with bedding, dog bowls, covers on the sofa, waterproof dog blankets for them to lay on and a "Soggy Doggie" towel for drying wet paws. They are not allowed on beds. Your fur baby must be freshly groomed and nails trimmed prior to entering the house. They must not be left alone in the house, screened in porch or yard. If you need to leave them alone, they must be in the crate. They are not allowed in the pool. We do have a kiddie pool that can set up if they love water. As beautiful as the house is, it is a strange place to them. Please respect our rules so we can continue to offer this to other guests.

Our family of 4 had a great stay - all the comforts of home with vacation extras! This property has everything that you could possibly need. Owners are also terrific hosts, great communication and a personal touch. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Outdoor spaces are really spectacular including a screened in porch, sitting area with fire pit, large yard, and a most excellent pool that we put to good use. We would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

I would give 6 stars if I could! Rob and Susan could not have been more helpful as they walked us through the checkin process, including the pool, hot tub and fire pit areas outside. The house was perfect for our family group of six adults and one small grandchild. Susan and Rob thought of everything, and were very kind to set up a great play area with many toys for our granddaughter. The house was very comfortable and has a wonderful, large yard. The pool area is where the fun happens, complete with a great set of toys and lots of seating. Lots of parking made life easy, as we had four large vehicles. We had a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable time!

Susan and Rob have made a true art of hosting guests at their property. There is no details they have not thought of. From stocked smores kits to sounds machines in every room to age appropriate toys left out for the kids- we were completely blown away by their hospitality and this stunning house. The pool and hot tub were such a hit for our two families and having every amenity you could imagine perfectly positioned where you might need it (down to diaper cream!)- it made traveling with infants and small child so much easier. We can not thank Susan and Rob enough for such an amazing trip!

From cozy reading nooks to pet covers on the couch, a pre-set fire pit and even a s'mores kit ready to go -- we truly enjoyed having this spot as our home away from home. First of all, Sue and Rob are great hosts. The stay started with a much appreciated tour of the house and outside by them…nothing left to chance. The house was stocked with everything you could want and it was very clean. We had a few questions during the stay that Sue answered immediately. And, the outside with the hot tub and fire pit were an added plus (we did not use the heated swimming pool). We also took advantage of the beautiful walking trails at Lake Lynn which is less than a mile from the house. Everything totally exceeded our expectations!

My sweet Lily Mae (Havashire) and I drove from Tuscaloosa to spend some quality time with family—adult grandkids who live in Raleigh/Durham area, son from Wilmington, and daughter who flew in from Ohio.
The very friendly owners met us at the house to show us around and explain how things worked. They have thought of EVERYTHING to make for a wonderful stay, even beach towels to use after lounging in hot tub or at the pool. The house was immaculate and so well thought out for guests. They included coffee pods, fridge full of condiments (and even orange juice and wine), spice rack full of spices, pantry with staples, organic shampoos and cleaning products, etc., etc.
The property is beautiful and so private. Just loved everything about this rental!

We felt so welcomed and pampered! The outdoor property is exquisite with a beautiful pool area, patio and hot tub. Inside, the home is filled every possible amenity from luxurious towels and bedding to kitchen goodies and supplies. We felt as though we were staying at a private resort. Susan and Rob's home was the perfect place for our family to gather to celebrate. And only 15 minutes from the RDU airport. We enjoyed the great outdoor space, including a big pool area, hot tub, and the grill for delicious meals. We didn't make it to the firepit this time, but next time we'll have to enjoy the s'mores. The kitchen and house is equipped with everything our group needed to make the most of our stay. They were readily available by cell phon for question and came by 10pm or so to orient us despite our late arrival. They were great hosts. Highly recommend and we hope to return!

We had a great experience; the home is wonderful, in a great location, and even stocked with anything you could need. The pool was great, although we only got to use it once due to the weather. The hosts are great, went above and beyond - even set up the outdoor fire pit so that we just had to light it up. Highly recommend this VRBO; you won't be disappointed!

Susan and Rob are amazing property owners and managers. They have thought of every possible detail that you would need in a home plus more! They have the gift of hospitality and knowing what their guests will need to have a stress free vacation. The backyard is a slice of Heaven. Beautifully lit up at night, amazing hot tub, pool, fabulous fire pit, and plenty of outdoor games to keep our family busy! The kitchen was more equipped than our own home. We entertained a few evenings with family and friends and never ran short of any plates, glasses, or utensils. The house is very family and children friendly. Toys, porta crib, highchair, and booster seat all made it convenient to have a little one with us. It’ll be hard to be this spoiled it any other vacation rental that we go to from this point on!

I can’t say enough about Rob and Susan’s property. All of the amazing reviews are 100% accurate. We were in town to visit our adult daughter and celebrate her birthday and this property was absolutely perfect. The location was so convenient, but the privacy of the the property made us feel like the only ones around for miles.
My daughter requested specific meals from home for her birthday and my husband had no problem cooking with all the comforts of home. Everything was in great condition and high quality. We grilled in the backyard, had a campfire, played badminton and Cornhole, and enjoyed each other’s company without worrying about anything.
I’ve never stayed in any rental where I didn’t have to immediately run to the store for necessities. Rob and Susan thought of everything and more. We arrived after a 7.5 hour drive to a fridge stocked with beverages and a pantry with snacks. All of the provided toiletries and household products were high quality.
Our two year old Corgi loved the yard and his extra large kennel. I think he was sad to come home! Our 13 year old had a blast swimming and relaxing in the floating chairs while we enjoyed sitting on the shallow sun shelf portion of the pool. The hot tub was a perfect place to relax and look at the stars after a fun day with family.

It Doesn't Get Better Than This
I have stayed in dozens of short term rentals over the years, some good, some less so. So it is with great sincerity that I say this house was hands down the GREATEST place I have ever stayed. The pictures don't do the property justice, it is as beautiful and picturesque a yard as I have ever seen - string lights and tall trees and berry bushes and footpaths. The pool is obviously a great feature, as is the hot tub. But beyond the obvious, the house itself is spectacular. The screened in porch was a delight, I spent countless hours in a hanging chair reading books and drinking coffee. There are so many little areas of the house to settle in and relax, and with a large party there would be places to gather and also to escape. Susan and Rob have thought of EVERYTHING. We didn't want for a single thing the entire trip. Every detail has been considered, and for that we were endlessly greatful. I could go on for days about how wonderful our stay was and still not do it justice. 100 stars wouldn't be enough. I cannot wait until we can come back one day!

Outstanding Home
Our family loved staying at this property. The location is outstanding for the Raleigh-Durham area - basically 20-30 minutes from everything. There are multiple grocery stores within 5 minutes as well. The Owners met us the day we arrived to show us around and teach us the ins and outs of the house and we had great communication with them whenever we needed to.
The house was fantastic and included everything we could have wanted or needed for cooking and for our stay. Everything was well labeled and organized. Our two boys loved playing in the pool after a long day of activities and the adults loved relaxing in the hot tub in the cool evenings once things calmed down.
We highly recommend this property for anyone scouting colleges in the area or anyone vacationing in the area and looking to do a lot of different things.

Best VRBO experience ever!
Amazing attention to detail and responsiveness from owners if there were any questions. They literally had everything I could think of except a plastic laundry basket to transport laundry from the dryer, and it's possible that was there and I didn't look in the right spot. The house was immaculately clean in every corner, even the closets, they had every condiment, tea, coffee, spice and utensil you could ever need and quite a few snacks and drinks already stocked. The owners were beyond gracious and helpful in every possible way. We sadly weren't there enough days/hours to take advantage of everything but had great time enjoying the beautiful home, screened in porch, hot tub, and pool. Beds were amazingly comfortable and well appointed. Books, toys, and games for every age were nicely arranged throughout the house and closets. We did not end up having time to using the fire pit with the wood already arranged by Rob and ready to go, or the lawn games! We will definitely be back in the future if circumstances allow.

Perfect place for visiting our son who recently moved to Raleigh. The house is in a quiet neighborhood north of the city. Close to grocery stores, shopping and parks. The house is clean and comfortable with all kinds of extras to make it feel like home. We loved the beautiful outdoor space including the pool, hot tub and yard games.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay. The owners thought of everything we might want and had it there - coffee beans, drinks, fruit, muffins, s'more making kits (really!), ready made fire pit, etc.
We loved all the organic lotions and potions, comfy bedding, white noise machines, clean hot tub, birds in back yard, the list goes on and on. It was hard to leave!
This is a perfect home if you have little ones and/or a dog. The backyard is completely fenced in and safe. The home has a large crate for your pup if you go out to dinner and plenty of fun stuff for little ones (books, water toys, games).
A grocery store is less than a mile a way along with lots of great restaurants and parks.

This is the best short term vacation rental our family has ever experienced. Susan and Rob have gone the extra mile to make sure you will enjoy your time at the house. Literally the best vacation rental we’ve ever had
We have been using vacation rentals for over ten years. This place is hands down the best we have ever stayed. Rob and Susan have thought of everything. We stayed here for a week while my wife attended a company event and I worked remotely (from this rental). Everything er needed all week was available. From bandaids and Ibuprofen to oatmeal for breakfast and condiments we had everything we could think of and then some. The is the best stocked house I have ever stayed in. Sometimes it felt better than being home! All of the thoughtful touches (holiday lights, cozy bathrobes, local magazines, locally roasted coffee) made this stay feel like a true escape for us. Rob and Susan were also great at communicating with us throughout the visit. I can’t recommend this rental highly enough. This will be the first place we check for every other visit to Raleigh.

Everything was Awesome!
This property is beautiful, relaxing, private, and very well maintained. Rob and Susan have made sure that you will have everything you might need for your stay already in the house. We have stayed at other VRBO houses and never seen a kitchen with everything that you have in your own home. The beds are fantastic and the bathrooms are stocked better than high end hotels. We had our young grandchildren visit us at the house and they had everything we needed - Pack-N-Play, toys, games, swim vests, etc. We highly recommend this property.

Great Hosts!
We just wanted a vacation with a quiet pool area, which the Relaxing Releigh Retreat was. Beautiful tall pines made for a wonderful backdrop to a pool that was fun and peaceful at the same time. The hosts were fantastic and even left snacks, goodies, and some top shelf local coffee and microbrews to try! Also, they provided many toiletries (towels, soaps, etc), a huge range of cooking ingredients, and snacks. They definitely thought of every last detail for the premises and guests. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely stay there again.
