The house is perfect for what we needed. The biggest negative was the we flew in. There was nothing for us to use for the beach!. We Went to a local thrift shop and purchased a shower curtain and a bed spread. We left it behind for the next fly in guests. We also left a very fun kite Supposed to use open windows for air. We purchased a fan, for the third floor. left for the next guests. We enjoyed the hot tub. Jets were weak, But we loved having it. The house was good for 7 adults. 3- couples one single. We loved the fire place! We enjoyed the
location, and all other aspects of the house, layout, decor etc. The deer visits were a hit. We feel we selected the perfect location!

We fully enjoyed our stay with family including two grandkids. Close to the most beautiful beach on the coast.

Loved the trip and stay

Freezer didn’t work, half of the fridge worked. Stove top kept going in and out wouldn’t cook my food right so had to cook on high. Hot tub jets barely worked. But the house was beautiful and it accommodated my whole family. A block and a half to the beach. If the appliances were fixed I would stay again.

A number of problems with the property:
- no toaster
- propane ran out after 10 min of use
- outside doors did not shut tightly
- had trouble turning off the heat
- several of the primary bedroom window shades didn’t work

House was just as described!
Close to the beach, walking distance to the pelican. Cozy beds, hot tub was perfect!

The check-in process was simple and was offered early check-in as well. The house was well equipped and clean. Beds are comfortable. Games and movies are stocked in the house and tv is set up with Netflix Prime and others. Would highly recommend this place.

Good home for a decent price. Definitely older but was clean and had a great location. Can really only fit 5 adults comfortably but could fit kids or teens in other rooms. Look for towels in all areas. Would come back again.

Everything was great the hot tub was very relaxing

Great location.
House is a little worn down.
Not enough plates/glasses etc for a group.
Hot tub was sandy and half full upon arrival.
Nice quiet environment.

Secure (in a gated beach neighborhood) location and very clean house a short walk to the beach access at Pacific City. It was an easy stroll to Pelican Brewery and the 'hub' of things to the north (10-20 min walk, 4 min drive).
The house was well appointed, although the kitchen pots/pans/utensils was a bit disorganized (hard to find some things). The hot tub was very much enjoyed. We liked the two proper bed rooms and the bunk room worked well. The sofa bed on the top floor needs replacing and is unusable. All in all, a lovely home in wonderful Pacific City. Needs some TLC and updates, but the value worked well for us.

Location, roominess, amenities, equipment: all really great. There were some spider webs in a couple places including a spider in one of the kitchen cupboards. Wished for some beach chairs as we flew to Oregon and couldn’t bring our own. The location can’t be beat. The neighborhood is quiet and safe.

The positives:
Location is nice being just a block from the beach. The home is clean and living area feels spacious with very high ceilings. Hot tub area is private and enjoyable.
Improvements:
The fridge is older and light is burnt out. Aside from the master, the bedrooms are on the smaller side.

Such a wonderful home! So much space! We had a great time. The hot tub was much to be desired but other than that it was just fine.

View from 3rd floor great, comfy king bed. But: Hot tub dirty. Fridge light sparked, was broken already. TV BROKEN BY PREVIOUS RENTER! Upstairs tv on privacy lock. Good WiFi. Not clean. Found an empty marijuana gummy box in the bunk bed!

Wasn't given a code to the lock box and it was hard to open. Once we keyed in the code to open the door, the lock just kept spinning around. So hard to unlock. Other than that the house was great

Cooktop shattered and controls unreadable. Broken grill, fireplace, TVs, no picnic table (like in pictures), pitiful cutlery (couldn’t cut with knives) and plastic wine glasses for 2. Outdoor lights too bright to sleep unless everything closed up. So disappointing for our 40th wedding anniversary celebration. Worst house we’ve stayed in.

I appreciated the thoughtfulness of this rental for accommodating a group of 8 including 5 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of towels, washcloths and bedding- much better than many rentals that claim to be able accommodate this number. My only critique would be the variety of cookware in the kitchen and the function of the stove top. We planned on making pasta for a large group and there was no pot large enough to boil some pasta. The electric stove top was cracked and the burners were slow to heat up and maintain temperature. But dishwasher worked great and there were plenty of plates and bowls

This house is perfect for gathering. Close to Pelican Pub and Beach. Hot was perfect! Beds were incredibly comfortable. There was only one chair to sit on outside, but there were 4 loungers. Bring beach chairs for deck. If you have a large group bring extra paper products (toilet paper and paper towels)and be mindful there isn’t a garage to stores beach gear.

Wonderful beach stay
We loved playing at the beach during the day, lunch at the pelican brewery walking distance away and retiring for a quite evening with a jacuzzi back at this lovely home. Only feedback is that the beach access is not accessible for limited mobility (you have to go up and down steep sand dunes) but we didn't mind. Also the kitchen was lacking some basic helpful items like foil, zip lock bags or seasonings but that was an easy fix at the nearby store.

Badly Neglected and Worn Down Home
This home is not what it used to be. We stayed here last October and since then, it has clearly been used heavily but not kept up with in terms of wear and tear. It is badly in need of many repairs including basic needs like a cold water tap that works in the kitchen. The fridge was missing two shelves (which is troublesome when you're staying for 8 days with a family of 4) and the front storm door was broken and wouldn't close. The stovetop was cracked and one of the burners wouldn't turn off. The heat was off when we arrived and it took 5 hours for the home to heat up to 65 degrees downstairs. The fireplace wasn't working (which it wasn't last time either) despite the fact that we messaged the host before arriving this time if it was fixed and they said it was fine.
We contacted Vacasa about most of these issues an hour after we arrived and no maintenance guy showed up for 3 days. When he did arrive, the only thing he could fix was the sink which he jerry-rigged together so at least we had cold water to use in the kitchen. Apparently everything we reported (and more) were known issues with that home and yet neither Vacasa nor the owners are doing anything to fix things properly. We were so dissatisfied with the condition of the home, we ended up leaving a day early.
Like I said, we stayed in this home 5 months prior and it was in far better condition. Had we known it would be in such poor condition this time around, we never would've rented it again. I highly recommend anyone consider staying here reconsider until Vacasa or the owners address the issues with this home.

Great location
So lovely to be on the 2nd floor looking at the ocean, walk to the brewery, soak in the hot tub. The bedrooms are great. The shared spaces were prefect for us to come together.

Dory days beach house
The home was nice and spacious but a lot of the pots and pans were not clean had grease stains all over them , there was macaroni noodles and other food particles in the dishwasher, the upstairs master bedroom is extremely hot .
6.0
Not a good value for the money.
The home is spacious and the hot tub & deck are 1st rate.
But many areas simply weren't clean. Denim curtains had suspicious stains, carpet felt dirty under bare feet, moved a nightstand to find an outlet and there was trash under it. Used tissues. Coffee maker dirty. Certain windows VERY dirty.
Kitchen supplies were minimal, no wine glasses, and skillets so old they are useless.
FOUR TVs BUT ONLY ONE WORKED.
I don't recommend anyone stay here, unless the prices are lower. Vacasa is a horrible host & this property shows it.

Wonderful rental in beautiful Pacific City
The Dory Days Beach House is a lovely place for a stay at the coast. Extremely roomy, cathedral ceiling, impeccably clean, lovely hot tub, very close to the beach.

Fantastic little getaway
Great home to enjoy pacific city with. Would definitely stay again. Definitely needs to be updated as far as TV/DVD equipment goes. There are VHS here at the home and DVDS, but no functioning players, only one TV had a remote that works, but other than that great home.

Good property - nice location. Hot Tub was great! Home could use some updates - kitchen utensils and new bedding/pillows. Overall - we enjoyed our stay.

Needs maintenance
Nice house, but needs a handy man. Stove knobs have no markings, faucet broken, no drinking cups. Dirty: sand and hair all over carpet and rug.

Fun Girls Weekend
We had a great time over the weekend for a girls trip, house was in good shape, great space, and very clean. Only request would be some ziploc bags or plastic wrap to be able to store food.

The house was pleasant. There were 4 of us and the kids loved the pocket room the most. The hot tub had just been cleaned so we couldn’t enjoy hot water. The fireplace was also broken and we didn’t get to enjoy it either. Vacasa told us the fireplace not working should have been in the welcome email but that info wasn’t there. They were easy to get ahold of and were quick to come and look and see if they could fix the things. They came out to look at the hot tub but it just takes a long time to heat up I guess? We only stayed 2 nights.
We liked the top floor the most, with a heater it was great for playing games.
It was nice to have detergent for washing clothes and all the towels and sheets were clean and nice.
The things that were unpleasant were all first world problems so can’t complain. Just disappointed to have picked a house with a hot tub and fireplace specifically… then bummed not to use them. They said they would refund for missed amenities but haven’t seen one.
Overall it was nice.
Pros: It’s a short 2 minute walk to the beach and you can see the ocean from the top floor.
Cons: some things are run down and have the “picked up cheap at a garage sale” feel.

Great house, great location
This house was great for our 3-night stay family of 4. Great location and good amenities. Only complaints we would have is the master bedroom mattress is absolutely terrible and there are hardly any cups in the home.
Also, upstairs satellite receiver needed to be "refreshed" but you had to login to their account to do so which, obviously, wasn't an option for us. Also, they must have someone who comes and checks/services the hot tub as we found the cover half open twice during our stay. Just would've been nice to know. These are all mostly just recommendations to improve the stay experience for future and not really that detrimental to our trip all that much.

Beautiful home & great location
The location of this home is excellent. It’s a very short walk to the beach. I enjoyed that it was in a gated community with a beautiful walking path. The driveway holds 4 compact cars…we have a full-size truck & it took up one entire side, so if you have 4 vehicles, be cautious of size. There isn’t a lot of space to store the food you bring either. The hot tub was fantastic. It was great to have a washer & dryer. Only one of the 4 televisions was hooked to directv & the channel selection was different. Lots of movie channels available, but virtually no sports channels.

Great house & location to the beach!
We rented this home for a weekend to attend an event. The house worked out perfectly for our group and was less than a 2 minute walk to the beach! The kids and adults were all very pleased. I highly recommend Dory Days. We will be back!

Wonderful location to walk to the beach. Numerous repair repair as needed throughout throughout
It was nice , enjoyed the location, needed a bunch of maintenance repairs, lights, window, some electric outlets didn’t work, screens missing or torn. Windows not opening, doors, dishwasher did not open properly. Fireplace did not work.

Just what the Brady Bunch needed!
We loved the hone! It was perfect for our large blended family! We had plenty of space for playing late night games and everyone having a little private time as well. The neighborhood was quiet and welcoming. Definitely a consideration in the future.

Little fixes could make a big difference
Great neighborhood location a block from the beach with comfortable living spaces and nice, hot hot tub. The kitchen faucet knobs were impossible to turn off and need to be fixed or replaced. And a few hand towels in the kitchen would have been helpful too but overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

LOVED- location, space.
Didn't like-it wasn't as clean when we had arrived. There was a musty smell in 2 rooms. Kitchen counters were not cleaned very well. Ice and water features on refrigerator, did not work.
