We had a great stay at this property and look forward to returning in the future! The house was spacious with beautiful outdoor areas for relaxing. It included everything one would need for cooking and doing laundry.

Awesome property. Walkway to the lake is nice but it is a significant uphill climb from the lake to the house. The elevation does provide amazing views from almost every room and the decks. Absolutely loved it.

My family stayed for 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. Great house - just as advertised, beautiful lake, good fishing, wonderful family of hosts, fun local spots to explore. We'd love to come back.

This place is amazing! Spacious for our family of 8, gorgeous views and so many memories made! Highly recommend!

The property worked great for 8 adults. May not be suitable for young children because of the open stairs. Margaret was very receptive to any issues. She was not any bother at all as she lives above the garage (we didn’t even know she was there). The trail down to the lake is difficult for the elderly but the younger adults didn’t have an issue. The house was well stocked.

This our second year staying at this property.
We had another fantastic trip to this VRBO! Again, place was clean, well stocked, and convenient. Communication from the owners was stellar.
We're planning to make a third trip next summer!

Overall the property was a great stay, the lower level could use some upgrading, it had a musty smell and a number if items weren’t working, like the fireplaces.

The place was very nice and clean and worked well for our fishing vacation to Lake Vermilion. We met one of the owners at the place and she was great! Very helpful and accommodating. We did not really use the dock or lake access at the place but it looked nice but the path and walkway down to the the lake is pretty steep and tough walking and would be a challenge for older people or those with limited mobility. The views of the lake are beautiful!

This place was beautiful and perfectly located on the water. Property management was responsive and uber nice. Refrigerator and pantry we’re already full of a lot of condiments with 2023 expiration dates

We stayed at this cabin for about a week and had a nice time.
Pros:
- The decks have a fantastic view of the beautiful lake
- The hosts were very responsive when we had a problem with the internet and solved the issue quickly
- The dock was great for swimming and the kids all enjoyed jumping off and playing in the water
- Lots of room to hang out in the living/family rooms and plenty of beds/couches for sleeping
- Plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers
Cons:
- No A/C. It was hot the first days we were there and the house, especially upstairs, was really uncomfortable. The windows were very difficult to open and there were no blinds on the sunny side of the house. There were not enough fans so we had to move them around and 2 of them were old and broke as we moved them (which we had to pay for). Those of us who were staying in the loft had to relocate to the basement floor to sleep due to the stifling heat.
- Lots of food in the kitchen. While it's nice to have a few seasonings around, it seemed like the (small) fridge hadn't been cleaned out since the last guests. There were open condiments in the fridge, snacks, baking supplies, etc. Nothing old or rotten, just a bunch of stuff that wasn't ours to work around.
- The fire pit was at the bottom of the hill by the lake. If you want to enjoy a fire and be within earshot of kids in the house, this won't work.
- The host lives in an apartment above the garage. Margaret was friendly and did not intrude at all, but if privacy is a priority for you, keep this in mind.
All in all, it was a nice enough cabin on a beautiful lake that could probably benefit from a few improvements, especially to block out the sun, get some air moving, and manage the temperature in the house.

Margaret the owner was wonderful and the property was very user friendly for our family who stayed and friends who visited. Well stocked kitchen. Great location.

Beautiful view of the lake
For a group of 8 adults this was a perfect place with plenty of room. The views from both decks were great. The large kitchen table made it easy for all of us to fit around for meals, games and catching up. The only downside was the steepness of the hill going up and down to the lake and no easy access to entering the water if you want to swim.

Great Long Weekend at Vermillion
If you're looking for a comfortable place with a hint of rustic to capture that up-north feel, this is the spot for you. While it has all the amenities for a comfortable stay, you experience the Northland.
Bedrooms are larger than they appear in the photos.
Plenty of community space in large upstairs and downstairs areas. Decks are fantastic. Plenty of parking space for 4 vehicles and a few boat trailers. Careful getting up the driveway - it's a bit narrow and pitted for pulling boat trailers up, but steady does it. Quick shot to the Vermillion club - good food and atmosphere, and a bit further to the Y-store for all your bait and many grocery needs. 5 minutes from public boat launch. Dock is a bit flimsy, but gets out to good depth for docking a boat (maybe two?).
I'd stay there again!

AMAZING!
Everything about the Daisy Bay property was amazing, from scheduling our stay and communication with the owners, through the house itself, including the amenities and the beautiful location.
Our trip was a family reunion of sorts, and this property afforded us the perfect backdrop for memories that will last a lifetime.
The house itself is both rustic and modern, with great communal areas, but also with a layout that allows for privacy too. The views are phenomenal. Early morning risers were treated to bald eagles flying directly in front of the deck!
While we were there, an issue arose with the plumbing. Any home owner knows that these things do happen. However, the issue was addressed immediately by the property owners, ensuring that our trip was not severely interrupted. In fact, everything this family does is done with professionalism and friendliness.
All in all, we could not have asked for a better stay or a better location.

Spacious and comfortable
We stayed with at the cabin with our two daughters and they each brought a friend. It was wonderful that we all had our own space and could be together or do our own thing on the two different levels. The decks are wonderful and the view is spectacular. Be prepared to hike down to the lake, but the path was just fine to navigate. Owners were very nice to work with and we appreciated all their communications and help.

Great view
We stayed with 6 adult family members. The house has plenty of space for hanging out together or alone. The two decks are fantastic and the view is beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The only downside of the house is the steep walk down to the water and the rocky shoreline for getting in and out of kayaks. We would rent again.

Vacation Up North
The property was very clean and had everything we needed, except air conditioning. Admittedly, this may have been an oversight on my part when booking, but it was HOT when we got to the house.
The interior was well suited for what we needed as far as bedrooms and eating spaces. I wouldn't consider it young child-friendly with all the staircases and glass decor. However, for older children and families it would suit very well. The large shower was great, but I was expecting the tub to work upstairs to wash the littles. It was out of order at the time of our visit.
The views from the upper and lower deck were lovely - we enjoyed being out there in the evening and mornings. The bugs weren't as bad as we thought they would be and it was very peaceful. It was near impossible to get a boat tied up to the dock as it was at least 4 feet out of the water, which also made it difficult for swimming. This has more to do with lake levels than anything changed with the dock. The walk to and from the dock is a bit steep and more of a hike than a walk. The deck at the edge of the water was great
Even though the listing was a check in for 3 PM and a check out of 10 AM, we were told via message to not check in until 4 PM and out by 9 AM. The 4 PM worked out as we got there right about then, but the 9 AM put us in more of a rush than I would like to be on a final day of vacation.
This is a very nice cabin and is has amazing views. I highly recommend it, but consider the age of your travelers.

Fantastic first Vermillion trip
My fiance, daughter, brother, father and pup loaded up two boats, our paddle boards, floaties and fishing gear and headed up nort' last weekend. Temps were in the 90's every day, but the cabin had fans in every room and windows that opened with screens. The basement was a great place to watch a Netflix in the evenings before the air was cool enough to enjoy the upper deck. We'd have dinners on the outdoor picnic table and enjoy cocktails while listening to the frogs at night.
The cabin had every utensil or appliance we could want. Plenty of towels, shampoos and soaps. Beds were really comfortable. Enough room for us to take naps on our own in quiet, but come together and socialize as a family.
It's a hike down to the water down a pretty slopey incline, which was a challenge for my father who is in his 70's. But I wouldn't call that a downside - just something to be aware of when booked. There are steps terraced into the hill to assist and none of the rest of us found it a challenge at all. The Husbands provide recycling bins and a great orientation book to help you get situated. Several boat launches within a couple of miles of the cabin, as well as the Vermillion Club for lunch or dinner.
I would definitely book again! Thanks to Taylor and her family for making the stay awesome.

The view of the lake was great. It was a hike down to the lake and back up. Dock should be lower.
Had a great trip. More beds I think would be a good idea for renting.

Great home on the lake!
Our family spent a week at the house and it was perfect for our needs. The house was spacious and location on Daisy Bay was secluded enough for our son to safely swim off the side of the boat but close enough to the main lake to explore fishing spots. Many hours spent on the decks relaxing, playing games and reading books. Taylor and Margaret were great hosts. Birch Point Marina is right across the bay and provided excellent service for boat rental. Vermilion Club was great for dinner & pizza and the nearby mini golf exceeded expectations. Would definitely return.

Vermillion stay
Had a great stay at house. Great place with everything you need to enjoy your trip.
Only issue or would I say as off was the dock was not set to water height, and had to be very nimble and careful accessing your boat.
But at the end of the day the view, the comfort, and the awesome shower downstairs was just what we needed for our guys fishing trip. And would come back again!!!

This is a beautiful home with amazing views. Everything was clean and easy to find. Great decks to get some fresh breeze and spy some wildlife - we saw at least six deer, a beautiful bald eagle and a bazillion varieties of butterflies.

A wonderful getaway far from the maddening crowd!
Well equipped kitchen so that you can prepare all the meals you need! It is a little isolated, Tower is about 15 minutes away and Ely is about 40 minutes away, but the peace and quiet is wonderful. In that context, you are not too far away from Ely and certainly we did day trips into Ely almost daily. The dock was damaged when we arrived but repaired while we were there and we had a lot of fun jumping off and swimming. Also loved that they had Roku so after a full day, we could relax to Netflix series! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Awesome Trip
The house was great as it had everything we needed for our 4 night trip. The owner even let us cut up some dead trees for firewood while we were there. House had a great view of Daisy Bay and was very close to excellent fishing. Would definitely stay here again if we come back.
