Great fishing trip.

We enjoyed our weekend glamping at Robb's cabin. It was nice to have a place to call home with all the usual, homey accommodations (shower, stove, electricity) after a long day on the river. I would definitely stay again.

We only stayed a couple of nights but we enjoyed the cabin and the cooper landing area.

Was extremely quiet and peaceful! Cooper landing is about perfect location to be convenient to all parts of the Kenai🙂.
Great mattress, kitchen was well stocked, and the Weber grill and gas stove were perfect for cooking (which we did most every night)

This place was nothing like pictured on VRBO. Grass grow up around outside. It is a cute little cottage but very very unclean. Grease all over stove and dishes. Floors were not clean. Furniture
Is very old uncomfortable he and dirty. Very nice bathroom. But overall very bad place. Would never stay there again

Perfect location in Cooper Landing.
A nice cabin in the woods close to hiking, fishing, tubing or dinner out. A deck on 2 sides of the cabin to relax. It was a great stay and we would come back. Thank you.

Pre-Cruise Wandering
The perfect place to visit theKenai Peninsula. The location was an equal distanse to Seward, Homer and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The cabin was comortable and quiet for a good nights rest after a long day of sightseeing.

Half way between Anchorage and Seward
We picked this property due to location and we were happy with being in this beautiful area. Robb was very accomodating and upon request introduced us to his dogs and showed us his sleds and other gear for mushing. We cooked our meals here and when we ran out of food, we went down the street and ate at the Princess Lodge. Be sure to buy your groceries in Seward or Anchorage before your stay. Dryer was missing a knob, so we moved the washer knob over and used that to adjust the settings. Dryer runs very hot, so be careful with any delicate items.

Great place to stay.
Wife and I were here for 4 nights and were very pleased with our stay.
Proprietor even allowed us to extend our stay by a night as there was an opening. It allowed us to enjoy more of the countless things to do in the area.
Cabin is very well kept and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well equipped, and there really is everything you'll need during your stay.
There are a couple things to keep in mind, however. I should emphasize, these are not complaints, just things to be aware of prior to staying.
-The cabin is screened by trees from the other buildings on the property, however, you are no more than a stone's throw away. Not an issue, but something to be aware of.
-There are no blinds on any of the windows other than in the bedroom. So if you're visiting during times of the year when its light late, be aware in case you have trouble sleeping when its light out.
-Water is very hard. This is pretty much to be expected of the area, but the water definitely has a strong flavor. If you're not used to drinking hard water, you may want to pick up a couple gallons of drinking water.
Like I said, though, these are not complaints, just things to have in mind when planning your stay. We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone.

Cabin was super cozy and was quite comfortable for two. Kitchen was well equipped
Loved our cabin in the woods. Had everything we needed for our home base during our stay in the Kenai. Loved meeting Rob and his sled dogs. Super helpful in everything we needed. Great memories on our Alaskan vacation.

Great little cabin
Enjoyed staying at this cabin. We shared the cabin with another adult couple. One of the things we missed as compared to other places we stayed at was a hair dryer. A mirror in the main bedroom would also be nice. Seating together for meals was limited as there are only two bar stools by the counter. Otherwise, we were pleased with our stay.

I would book this cabin again in a heartbeat!
I booked this cabin for two separate stays and I am glad I did. I love the hominess of the cabin and it is well stocked with cooking utensils and pans. The beds are comfortable and the place is peaceful and just outside of Cooper Landing. Should have booked this place for a longer stay!

Wish we would have made this our home base for the two weeks we were in Alaska!
The cabin was well stocked with all the items you would need. It was cozy and comfortable. The location was central to all we wanted to do.It is right outside of Cooper Landing and an easy drive to Seward, Anchorage and a little bit longer drive to Homer, but doable.
We unpacked our bags and felt right at home. A washer and dryer are in the house, which came in handy after traveling for a week. The only down side was there was not a blackout curtain on one of the windows in the main bedroom. We just hung a dark cloth over that window and we were fine. The bed was comfortable the house was warm and the kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary utensils.
The owners have mushing dogs, but they only barked when it was feeding time or when a bear or other wild animal was nearby...which was comforting. One dog, that wasn't a mushing dog, sat at the end of the drive and greeted us when we arrived and came back to the the end of the drive and watched us pack the car as we were getting ready to leave. He just wagged his tail and barked once as if to say goodbye.
We have this cabin rented again in two days time as we make our way back toward Anchorage and I am glad we are going back. As I said, this feels like home and I wish we had stayed here longer! My husband and I have talked and agree that when we make another trip back to Alaska, this will be our home base. We will sight-see and then come back to the cabin each night.

Clean, cabin in a beautiful town.
This is a comfortable cabin with plenty of room for 3-4 people in beautiful Cooper Landing. Living room has two comfy love seats and there are two chairs at the breakfast bar for eating. Everything was as shown in the pictures. Food items are not provided so it's best to purchase what you need in Anchorage or Soldotna as the stores in Cooper Landing are small camp stores. The floors are even heated! Be aware that the propane powered heater runs just outside the window in the master bedroom so it's best to keep this closed as fumes can come in. Robb was very nice and was happy to introduce us to his sled dogs. The cabin was very quiet, even though there are two other cabins on the property. Weber grill on the porch was great for grilling our fresh caught salmon! Be sure to hike to the Russian River Falls and raft down the river. We also had a great day fishing and seeing bears with Talon Air out of Soldotna.

Nice Cooper Landing location.
We stayed here two nights in late July 2017. Liked the location on Beans Creek Road. Cabin has a nice wooded setting. There are other cabins on the property, but the spacing is such that you really don't notice them. Spent time on the front and back decks. Mountain visible off back deck. The place was clean and neat. In floor heat is nice. We had temps in the upper 40s at night. Rob was quick to respond and easy to work with. There are two points that are mildly negative. The shower is the overhead Rain type shower with four side jets. No doubt an expensive unit but not very practical. Didn't work well for me being 6'5" tall, and the shower doors leaked water onto the bathroom floor. Also, there are only two places to sit when dining. They are located at the kitchen counter. We had four in our group and had to eat at two different spots. Overall , we enjoyed our stay very much. Larry & Dianne, Paul & Elaine

Perfect!
We stayed here two nights before moving to a nearby resort and really regretted moving. This cabin is beautiful. It's roomy, has all the amenities we needed or wanted, and has quality furnishings and finishes. It was very quiet and private even though the owner's house and at least one other cabin is on the same property. They are spread out and there are so many trees, we felt like we were the only ones. It's only a short drive down to the main highway in Cooper Landing so it's very close to everything Cooper Landing has to offer. The owner responded quickly to messages and questions I had before we arrived and everything went perfectly. We thought we had an issue with something in the cabin and so I called him and left a voice mail. A second later, we figured it out and so I called back to tell him and while the phone was ringing, he was knocking on the door. He responded so fast! All three of us loved the cabin and we will definitely stay there again (and not move within Cooper Landing) next time! We all highly recommend it!!!

Cozy, Secluded, Quality Cabin
We loved our stay in this lovely cabin. It offered everything we needed to meet our needs. We appreciated the quality finishes, the serenity, and the beautiful wooded views. Owners were kind enough to allow us to see their sled dogs which we really loved. This made a great base for our stay in Cooper Landing at a very reasonable price. As a bonus, Evelyn Bear is a great photographer and took some beautiful family photos for us. This was an inexpensive purchase, but yielded priceless photos that we will enjoy for years to come! I can't say enough about what a great stay we had here.

Kenai River cabin
We rented Robb Bear's cabin for two nights. It was fun reading about his dog sled exploits. We met his darling little son. The cabin was very roomy and quiet. Great mountain views. I plan to stay here again soon to enjoy the fishing and hiking. This cabin would be great for a small family, as there was a loft with two extra beds.

JUST PERFECT!!!
My husband and I stayed for 4 nights Aug. 12-16, 2014 and this was our home away from home. It was so nice to return from a full day of sightseeing or hiking to this quiet little cabin to wind down. The French doors to the back deck looking out on the woods and mountain made it seem that we had a little piece of Alaska all to ourselves. The location was GREAT and only a mile and a half from the main road to stores, excursions, fishing. The lake was a just a short walk away and you could even take a short stroll to one of the major resorts and dine in their restaurant. This was especially nice after a long day.
We didn't spend a lot of time at the cabin and mostly used it for evening showers, sleeping and breakfast but it had everything we needed and was very well equipped an well kept. If you plan on cooking, it is best to purchase groceries in Anchorage (if you are coming through there) as the local stores are small and may not have everything you need. Even though we only used the downstairs bedroom, the upstairs loft had another double and twin bed which looked very comfy (but open to living area downstairs). The photos provided are a good representation of the cabin.
This cabin and its somewhat central location was a perfect fit for us as it made our trip to the Kenai Peninsula memorable as we ventured out to the ends of the road at Homer, Captain Cooks State Park north of Kenai, Seward and Whittier. Staying in this particular location made these manageable day trips with some hiking of the local trails. Words cannot do justice to the spectacular scenery around every corner. The weather was a little rainy but we came prepared due to the time of year and we didn't let a little rain slow us down.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin and in the area. Thank you for making it available to tourists! We are talking about returning with friends and family and will definitely check to see if the cabin will be available.
PS: Don't bring charcoal, it is a gas grill. We had a chuckle when we added our bag to the 2 others left by previous guests.
