Aruba Escape Apartment is located in the Malmok area , Aruba's best area to enjoy all this ONE HAPPY ISLAND has to offer, it has a spacious living and dining area downstairs, well equipped kitchen and cozy porch were you can lie in the hammok after a day of sun and beach and even enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner outside.
The bedroom upstairs has a beautiful view over the salina and the ocean a little further away. It is spacious and very quiet to be able to have a good sleep in a confortable king size bed all this complimented with quality bed sheets and pillows.
The Cottage is all air-conditioned and has TV and Internet .
From the Aruba Escape Cottage is a short walk to Catalina or Arashi beaches where yo can enjoy the crystalline and calm waters of the Caribbean ocean, also Fisherman's Huts is close by , here are watersports , kitesurfing , windsurfing, sailing available and further on you find the high rise hotel area were you can enjoy all the entretaiment, dinning, bars, cinemas shops......

This met our needs, we were just looking for a place to sleep as we had other family down there and spent most of our time with them. Air conditioning worked great, bed is comfortable, could use a little updating but overall it was a great vacation

Really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and central to everything. Rudolf was right, renting a car was crucial. The only thing we purchased was a bathmat for the slippery tiles in the bathroom. In total, it was perfect! Hope to stay here again really soon!! Thank you for making our first trip to Aruba glorious!!

Very good communication prior to our trip. The villa is very nice, perfect for our needs. We spend most of our time outside, this was perfect for meals and sleeping. The front patio was nice and we used a little nylon line to hang cloths to dry after rinsing them in the sink. We are hoping to rent this again!!

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay. Snorkeling within walking distance was a huge plus, great location. Rudolf was very pleasant and accommodating. I recommend this property.

Great location from the beach for watching the sunset. Easy to get around on the island from here. A few things already mentioned in other reviews could use addressing but overall a nice place to stay.

Suited our needs perfectly! Loved the coziness of the place and the location was ideal for our snorkeling, sunning, swimming needs. Had all of the necessary amenities, right amount of sleep and hang out space. Away from the high rises, tourist area and walking distance to great beaches. Owner was very responsive to our needs. We will be back!!!

I want to begin by saying that I have always given our VRBO homes an excellent rating. Unfortunately, this one was the WORST vacation stay in lodging ever! So here goes... 1. Key pad did not work resulting in us being LOCKED out for over 45 minutes! Called the house manager at least 20 times only to find out that she disconnected her phone while keeping her grandkids. Thankfully, we were able to email the owner, Roudolf, on our phone and then he contacted her. ( We were also unable to leave for 30 minutes due to not being able to lock the door when leaving). 2. The manager promised to have a locksmith come and fix the lock the next day but that NEVER happened. We continued to have issues the entire stay at this home. 3. The safe box DID NOT LOCK which we also brought to the manager's attention. We were promised that it would be fixed as well but NEVER happened.This to say that we did not feel safe leaving our passports and money in this house! 4. The house is VERY run down with many eyesores especially in the bathroom and the patio area. Not sure who took the photos or when they were taken but TOTALLY misrepresented. 5. Hot water only up stairs in the bedroom- No cold water at all. 6. Cold water only in kitchen area- No hot water at all. Overall, BEWARE if you rent this home based on the photos or past reviews. We are not sure how this home received great scores.

Plenty of space in the apartment for 2. Nice area for eating, lounging. Full size refrigerator. Northern part of the island has many free areas for snorkeling, and a nice beach nearby

Had to ask for more toilet paper. No trash bags. Also no hot water in kitchen to wash dishes. Not handicap accessible.

We continue to visit this home. We spend much of our time exploring the island and it is a perfect place to land in the evening. Great location! Close to the high rise area for evening. Close to the best beaches on the island.

500 meters from great snorkeling and a short drive to the major hotels, shops, and restaurants, this is a perfectly secluded hideaway. The directions were simple and clear, with parking out front. The kitchen has everything you need including a cooler and chairs for a picnic at the beach.

A very neat, clean and quiet place out of the way but only a couple minute walk to the bus stop. It has everything anyone would need for a vacation stay. Owner/Manager are exceptional and made every effort to ensure that everything was in good order even checking mid-week of the stay. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Rudolf’s property for 4 nights in April for a family wedding. We had family who owned a house a couple blocks away and the location was very convenient for us. It was also walkable to the beach and a couple of restaurants. It was not walkable to the hotel strip but we did fine with taxis and ride-sharing. The unit itself was perfect for us. A small sitting area, dining are, and kitchen on the first floor and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. It was private and comfortable for our needs. Air conditioning and fans worked well and we were never hot. We had a bit of a hard time finding outlets near mirrors for wedding prep and the shower pressure was pretty bad and could use a new system, but those were only small inconveniences and we’re not picky travelers. Thank you, Rudolf! We are so glad that we chose this property for our trip and would happily recommend it to others and stay again if we ever come without our children again in the future.

We only stayed for a few days in the transition to our timeshare, it was welcoming and felt very homey. The layout was fun with the split level and the seating area in the front was nice and bright. We would definitely stay again.

There was inadequate kitchen and other equipment ie only 2 servings of silverware, no hot pads, only 2 burners worked, no paper towels, only one garbage bag, no bar of soap, few utensils. Nice having beach chairs and cooler to take to the beach. Road noise was very loud. Shower had very poor water pressure.

My wife and I have been to many Caribbean islands via cruise boat or Hilton properties but never Vrbo until now. This was our first time in Aruba and first Vrbo booking and were we ever impressed. The owner was very helpful from booking and throughout our stay if we had questions. Very very clean place to stay. We highly recommend as we will be going there again later this year.

The Aruba Escape Cottage, is more than enough space for two people. The decorating is charming with a beach “vibe”. The location, while on a busy road, is close to several excellent beaches and easy to get to. Beach chairs, towels, and two coolers as well as reusable bags for grocery shopping were provided. You should be aware, if you are planning on preparing any of your own meals, that the barbecue is charcoal rather than propane and there is no oven, only a cooktop. As has been mentioned by previous guests, the shower has very little water pressure. We found that it’s tile floor was extremely slippery when wet and purchased a non slip mat as well as a caddy to hang up to hold shampoo and soap because there was nothing there for that purpose. There are several other relatively minor maintenance issues that if corrected would make this cottage a really great, rather than just good, Aruba, rental.

This rental was cute and cozy. Easy to access. The outside area is quite small but noisy from traffic during the day. It would be nice to have a little outdoor area to wash off the salt and sand after being at the beach. A few updates would be nice ,appropriate lighting in the entry level to be able to read. Also the shower head was poor, could be replaced. As we did enjoy our stay, updates and a little TLC are needed.

This is our second time staying here and for us, it's absolutely perfect. We rent a car and travel all over this beautiful island most of the day. If you're look for fancy and exquisite, this is not your place. It's perfect for breakfast, dinner, sleeping and some resting in between. The location is excellent as it's just far enough from the hotel zone but close enough to go there at night. It's a great value!! Thank you for another wonderful visit!!!

Cozy Quiet Cottage♡Perfect Location

This cottage was perfect for us & exactly as pictured! A very simple cottage with everything you need - most of all, privacy and peace. We loved the location on the northern end which is residential but a quick 5-10 minute drive to the busy shopping/restaurant area. Recommend renting a car. A nice 10 minute walk to Tres Trapi, which became our favorite snorkeling spot! We swam with sea turtles every day we went♡Route 2 is a busy road but has a nice shoulder to walk on. We even walked to the beach at night, with flashlights, to enjoy the night sky and sea. Rudolf has fold up chairs in the cottage which were perfect to take along with a cooler of our favorite beverage♡Boca Catalina is right up from Tres Trapi which we would also walk to and has shallow reefs with lots of great fish and a sand beach♡These are the best snorkeling spots on Aruba & even though the excursion boats bring their customers there to enjoy, they stay out of the huge roped areas and don't effect your experience at all. Arashi Beach is a 5 minute drive. The lighthouse is just beyond Arashi, too. The cottage was easy to find & the entry keypad worked perfectly and so convenient. FYI:Paper products are not supplied so grab toilet paper, Kleenex and napkins when you go grocery shopping😉

Aruba Escape Cottage is so comfortable, private. and perfectly located. It is much larger than I expected and is simply and charmingly decorated, but uncluttered. I especially appreciated the ease of controlling the air conditioning, the ceiling fans with lights on both levels, the ease of parking., plus the kitchen stuff, outdoor grill, and beach chairs/towels (most of which I didn't use, but it would be nice for most guests). The location can't be beat. If I ever go back to Aruba I would be heartbroken if I couldn't stay at the Escape Cottage again. It's wonderful!!!
