Great place, it was clean and the check out process was very easy! I would highly recommend

Loved the historic elements of this townhome. One drawback was that it had limited kitchen supplies. We had to go buy baking sheets to cook frozen french fries. Also, while we generally felt safe while we were there, our car was broken into as we were packing to check out.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, close to many activities. Loved the cooling pad on the mattress. It is hot in Savannah!

Beautiful historical home located on Jones Street, which is considered one of the most be beautiful streets in historic Savannah. You could walk to River Street (or most anywhere) within 20 minutes. The bedrooms have ceiling fans (which i appreciate), comfortable beds, and TVs in each room. We really enjoyed the side porch in the morning with our coffee. The teens slept on the pull-out couch in the sunroom which they said was a little pokey but we added extra blankets (of which there were plenty) for padding. The home itself was clean but could use a little TLC. It has quite a few personal items that I assume were left behind by the previous owner and weren't cleaned out, including random can goods above the stove. Still, the home had lots of beautiful qualities and parking was easy. We enjoyed our stay!

Nice location. Ok with old homes, this was unkempt. Dirty. Some disrepair that would be a code violation. Front door handle kept falling off. No other way to exit the property. Busted outlets/switchplates. Broken window pane front window.

Very nice house in Southern Charm
Neighborhood. House itself could use a good cleaning. Impressive collection of books and antiques, but very dusty. Also patios/balconies need cleaning.
***Safety issue*** Bannister is very loose and shaky-fall issue for young and old. Needs major bolstering.
With updates and some decluttering-would world class Southern home.

It was clean, in a fabulous location (walking distance to almost everything!), the beds were comfortable, and the living space was nice.
Weird things: it sleeps six, but there weren't six of everything in the kitchen (like silverware, plates, and mugs). The house is literally filled with trash - old magazines, personal items, cassette tapes, and other odds and ends. It's all stuffed into drawers, so you'll find it as you look for the things you need for your stay. It wasn't bad, just really weird.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to the trolley and a quiet neighborhood. Loved the historical artifacts within the house. We will definitely come back and recommend it to others.

The stay was nice. The only issue we had is that on of the people in our group had a hard time with the stairs. Otherwise the stay was nice. We did like it was convenient & within waking distance to Clarey’s Cafe and a trolley stop.

We loved this home! We would definitely come again and hopefully stay longer! Perfect spot for historic Savannah feel.

Listed as a Luxury rental
It was not
We are use to short term rentals that are sparse
Opposite here
We opened roll top desk to work at and it was full of odd items like a junk drawer
Lots of drawers throughout the house full of junk
Extra pictures were leaning up against walls
Old electronics ie. Microwaves, vcr shoved in cabinets
Back door hammered shut with board
Scotch taped wallpaper fix
Patio furniture unstable unsafe to use
Upstairs balcony decayed did not seem safe to walk on
Master bedroom bed was comfortable the other beds were not
This property really needs a massive clean up before renting it out again with a large dumpster available
Great location ! Easy to walk to sights in Savannah
Great binder that shared ideas of where to eat and what to see in Savannah
Enjoyed seeing the history of the house in pictures on the walls. This 1873 home has good bones !

The house itself and its location is amazing. Very beautiful and clean. The only drawback I can mention, is the 3rd sleeping area is not suitable for a couple or growing teen. Its a fold out couch/bed and it is getting old, as all things do. Not very comfortable and the lining inside the couch that helps support the mattress is starting to dry rot. I would just consider comfort if a third bed is needed, otherwise, we would definitely stay. The beds upstairs are perfect and extremely comfortable.

The house is very spacious and in a great location to many sights. Just found the cross street (Price) to be very busy. The bed/mattress in what I would consider the second bedroom, needs to be replaced. It creaks and makes noise with every move. The house also needs a deep cleaning, as there is plenty of dust on items that are higher up. The upstairs hall bathroom needs more hooks or towel bars to place wet towels on to dry. Would have been nice to have a list of which apps work on the Roku TV. Tried watching the one DVD that was in the house, but there was no remote for the DVD player and we could not get it to play.

When I go to Savannah I want the house and furniture to reflect Savannah and this house most certainly does. Location for us could not be more perfect and the feel is super relaxing and very historical. Stayed here twice and God willing I'll be back.

It is a beautiful house in a good location. It had everything we wanted. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. We had temperate weather, so we enjoyed sitting on the porches, morning & night.

We had a lovely time visiting! Property can use a bit of attention but it’s a beautiful old home and worked for our group!

Property was as described. Loved the history of the home and convenient to all historic district activities. The only concern was covered porch. It didn't feel sturdy. But we didn't need that space for our visit. Would rent again.

The property is ok. Very musty smelling. A lot of clutter. Beds need new mattresses.

The inside and outside walls and gate of the outdoor garden is covered in lush poison ivy. The water feature is taped off. The secondary bed's mattress is very uncomfortable. The property manager was dismissive of my concerns. The futon was no longer in the home.

The house had charm but too filled with outdated (not charming antiques) furniture and needs to be more curated. Also mismatched sparce eating utensils.

This was a beautiful historic house that was very welcoming and within walking distance of all major attractions. The neighborhood was quiet and loved sitting on the porch in the morning while drinking our coffee. Would highly recommend this home to others.

Good & bad: First off, I appreciate the low cleaning fee, however I didn't like the fact that renters are required to wash their own dishes & take out the trash. Not everyone has the same thoughts on cleanliness & don't trust that everyone washes/cleans well. Not a huge deal we just washed our own glasses, but had to use hand soap as there was no dish soap available to wash them. My husband could not find this town houses trash cans. Thankfully the neighbors were nice enough to let us put our 1 bag of trash in with theirs. Seems this is something that the maid service could take care of for little cost. There was dust all over the walls of the bathroom at the top of the stairs & black mold around several vents, in the bathrooms, & door frames. Squirrels have found a way in above the porch where it's rotted & run around. There's a tile loose in front of the fridge. The tub floor is separating so when you shower it feels like you're standing on a water filled bath mat. The top part of the post at the bottom of the exterior stairs is completely loose. Looks like someone tried to nail it into rotted wood then tried to glue it. The Bannister's are a little loose too. In the master BR at the end of the hall, there's a pretty big gap around the electrical outlet. If there are small kids staying, I'd be a little worried about them sticking their fingers in there. If you can't do a lot of stairs, this isn't the place for you. Lastly & most importantly, the mattresses need to be replaced. These are by far the WORST mattresses any of us had ever slept on. Uncomfortable only begins to describe them. We tossed & turned all night long. Seriously contemplated sleeping on the sofas but there was 4 of us & 3 sofas & not really long enough to stretch out on. Just FYI Zinus makes great mattresses. Have had ours 3 years now & still feels like new & was <$400 delivered.

It was a blast. The balcony/porches, gorgeous antiques and perfect location all added up to a perfect get-away.

Pictures do not do this home justice. It is absolutely beautiful. In a nice & quite area. Close to all the main attractions. Checking in & out is a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!

This is our 2nd time staying here. Its awesome, has everything you need with 2 bedrooms with 2 King beds, which a king size bed is a must have for me. If your expecting modern updated rental this is not for you. This place is is older and and has not been remodeled lately., but everything works. We will definetly stay again in the future.

The house was in the perfect location. My group of girlfriends (annual girl trip) was able to walk everywhere. The house description was accurate however the house was extremely dusty. A few upgrades and minor repairs are needed but the house served it purpose. A place to sleep.

The home is beautiful, comfortable. Most loved the balcony porch overlooking the street. Perfect for morning coffee and greeting passers by. Loved ceiling fans throughout the house, cozy sun room, water pressure in showers. Beautiful antique furnishings. Within walking distance to everything we wanted to do and see. Short drive to Tybee Island for a beach day. Will definitely be back.

Overall, the property was okay but we cannot recommend other stay there at this time. As positives, it’s located in a good location; the reservation and obtaining access to the property was easy; we had accessible parking while there; and the property had all we needed. As negatives and as an honest assessment, while this is the first time I have ever given anyone a negative review, I felt compelled to point out that the property could use a deep cleaning. The floors are dirty and leave your feet and socks noticeably dirty while walking around. There are hundreds of old books stored on various shelves throughout the house that desperately need dusting. The fans in each room also need dusting as each are caked with very noticeable dust that caused all of us to have stuffy noses due to dust allergies and all the dust in the air while running the fans and AC. Last, the roof has a leak and, while there, it rained one night and caused a continuous drip of water to leak from the ceiling in one of the bedrooms and onto our infant who was asleep in a pack and play in that bedroom. We woke up to find her bed and face wet from the continuous leak. It’s obvious this has happened before in the same place because the ceiling has patching where the water was coming through. We moved our child into our bed and placed a pan to try to prevent the floor from being soaked with water. I realize these things happen, but the only response we received from the property manager when we notified her of this is “thank you for letting me know.” No apology or other comment. We are very easy going, but we were disappointed with her response. As a result, while we know this property could be nice with a little attention, we will look for another property the next time we return to Savannah.

House was exactly as pictured. We did seem to have a small ghost encounter. Cabinet door unlatched and opened by itself. So if you want an experience I suggest you stay here. Good location to food and bars. I only had to contact the owner once, not as welcoming or pleasant sounding on the phone but she could’ve been busy. Other than that I’d stay again.

This home is beautiful and in a great location. My girls and I visited for my birthday and this home was perfect for us. We couldn't believe how beautiful the house is let alone the things inside. So much history. . The beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean. You do hear the traffic from time to time and it's hard to talk on the big side porch when traffic is really busy but it didnt bother us since we weren't out there long anyways. You are close to everything in the historic district. Riverstreet is 5 + blocks away so it is a long walk but we loved it. Especially at night. The houses were so beautiful. I highly recommend this as your next stay when you visit Savannah!

Enjoyed our four night stay at this property. Loved the history of the house. This house is very spacious……loved that it had two full bathrooms. For four women that was important:)
Location is excellent. Right on the corner of Jones and Price St with plenty of free parking. The only time we couldn’t park right in front of the house was the night they did street sweeping and we had to move one block over. No big deal! It’s so convenient to the riverfront area. We walked everywhere. It only took 15-20 min to/from the riverfront. About 10-15 to Forsyth park. Less than 10 to one of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever been to…..Clary’s. Go there for breakfast/brunch. You won’t be disappointed.
The only thing I found that could make this an even better rental was that it could use a good deep clean. (And really the only reason I couldn't give five stars) The ceiling fans in particular were pretty filthy. 😬 as were some of the corners of the baseboards.
Not a huge deal to us though as it was surface clean otherwise.
There are some minor imperfections with the flooring (a couple loose tiles in/near the kitchen) and you must take care to watch your step. Some of the room transitions have a small step up and they are easy to miss. We had a few stubbed toes but nothing serious. I would not hesitate to stay in this house again. I loved how “old” it is.
The host, Mary, was very responsive to any questions we had.

This property was perfect for our group of 6 (4 adults, 2 young children). We love walking, and this location in historic Beach Institute was perfect for visiting all the sites and attractions of Savannah. We enjoyed the home’s historic and charming character, and found it very comfortable for our group. Thanks for a wonderful first trip to Savannah - we will be back!
