This was a good place to stay with three dogs and very conveniently located near Bryce Canyon NP. Description of VRBO is accurate. Communication with the host was great and always prompt.

House was very comfortable and so easy to commute to both the grand staircase and bryce canyon. Kitchen had everything we needed to eat every meal for 4 days. Easy to to Tropic for supplies.

Great location for Bryce and Grand Staircase. Huge space. Great house for our family and friends of 10. Very comfortable beds, well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed our stay and exploring Bryce and Grand Staircase. Tom was very responsive to all of our messages and was great to work with. Definitely would recommend and stay there again.

We had an excellent time here - My husband, my mom, our four kids, and I stayed here while visiting Bryce and Zion. It's a little bit of a hike to Zion, but totally doable. It's not fancy, but it's incredibly comfortable and has amazing views. We even roasted hot dogs and marshmallows in the fireplace. If you're more interested in being comfortable than trendy, check out this rental. Also, while you're here, try Bryce Canyon Pines restaurant - you won't be disappointed!

The property was only 15 miles from Bryce Canyon. Access was excellent and there were many choices of bedrooms to accomodate each person. Everything needed was provided for a very comfortable stay. We would be happy to stay here again.

Very nice and conveniently located to Bryce and various hiking trails. There were only 4 of us but would accommodate 7 very comfortably and more with sofas and air mattresses!! Enjoyed the pool table! Would be great for a family gathering.

It was such a beautiful property, and the view from the back deck is so breathtaking! We all definitely recommend running over to Bryce Canyon and watching the sunrise/sunsets there at the designated points. Tom was such a great host and such a big help in finding adventure spots, the house is riddled with guides of all the nearby attractions! Stay as long as you can here, it ends too quick!!

Spacious, easy to relax space that was perfect for me and three kids staying near Bryce Canyon. Very close to Kodachrome State Park as well. Highly recommend.

The house was great! It had pretty much everything we needed. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out. It was an overall great experience. The only con was trying to find the correct driveway. The directions given by the owner were spot on, but we arrived in the dark. It would be helpful to have sensor light on the property, which I did see, but it didn’t come on. The lock box was very tricky and a bit frustrating to get open. The owner was very kind and was easy to reach to direct us though. The air mattresses, like most air mattresses didn’t keep air and deflated. There was a good stock of anything we needed. We were on the tail end of toilet paper though🤪. We made it to the end though. The door leading to the basement was a little tricky to find so maybe some signage would be helpful for the next guest’s. Other than those small suggestions it was a great stay and so much fun to be able to have a big group (11) all stay together and still be able to have others gather to visit! Thank you Tom!

The property was perfect for our purposes. Everything we needed was there. I was even able to make nectar for the hummingbirds so we could sit outside to enjoy watching them. It is located conveniently to amazing sites. The visitor centers are so helpful.

We loved this place! It's in town but feels secluded. We would definitely stay here again. Has a great fenced in area for dogs to run. They loved it too.

It was a great location and had everything we needed and more! Loved early mornings and nights on the deck!

Plenty of beds, including a blowup bed we used. Pool table was a big hit with kids and adults. Air conditioning helped keep the place cool. Pantry well stocked with odds and ends to help fill out meals, so we didn’t have to buy spices, etc. living room couch was filthy, including pillows which were filled with dust. If the couches had been clean, this would have been a full on five star rating.

Perfect place to explore Bryce and Capital Reef
Tom is the best owner I have dealt with while traveling with my family. Responsive and informative, timely with every detail. If you want the perfect base of operation for your families exploration of Bryce Canyon NP and Capital Reef NP you have found it at Tom’s place.

Family Perfect
Nice home with excellent WiFi and TV. Little extras like telescopes and rock collection. Fully stocked kitchen and dining room for 6 or more. Close to Bryce, Kodachrome and Escalante. No dining options in Cannonville but it’s a short drive to Tropic. Escalante is about a half hour away. Would stay at this home again if traveling with the family.

There wasn’t a lot of inventory in the area that would accept a dog. This is certainly one of the top.

Very spacious well maintained comfy place near Bryce Canyon
We loved our stay at the Retreat. It’s such an open and welcoming environment. Very spacious. Our dog loved it. Everything worked - tv, shower, washing machine, microwave, whirlpool tub. We were also impressed how clean everything was when we arrived. Despite freezing evenings inside it remained warm and cozy. Location is ideal for day trips to Bryce. Mornings were spent waking the dog unleashed by the nearby creek. We would recommend this rental to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation home
My family had a wonderful time. Great central location with plenty to do. There was plenty of space for my family of 8. My kids loved the house. My oldest kids especially loved learning to play pool. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking your own meals. Tom was always quick to respond to any questions.

Great location, great deck, appreciated the homey feel, so much space, as-advertised, great host!
This location is so great for hiking adventures. It felt like home here. Tom explains the home perfectly. The back deck is awesome for morning coffee’s and perhaps an adult beverage after a long day of adventures! We all wish we had our dogs with us - they would love this property! Well stocked kitchen and lots of maps and travel books! Beds were good. Wish it wasn’t windy so we could’ve enjoyed the fire pit, looked awesome! Loved being tucked away in this location.

A wonderful stay
Our stay at Tom's retreat was exactly what we were looking for. The retreat is just as described, a well loved spacious home that reflects the sensibilities of the region and displays evidence of having seen many happy events and gatherings. The pictures do not do it justice. The huge fenced in yard was the delight of our fur girl, where she could romp safe and secure. My husband and I were traveling by ourselves, so we had everything we needed on the main floor. Oversized cozy furniture, fires in the large fireplace and a big country kitchen. We enjoyed grilling on the deck, watching the stars at night and seeing the sun come up over the mountains. The home is incredibly convenient to Bryce, Red Canyon, Escalante, Kodachrome and any number of great drives and hikes. Nearby Tropic had everything else we needed. Our only regret is that we did not bring more family to enjoy the downstairs game room. Highly recommend, and we hope to visit again.

So much space!
We absolutely loved staying at this property. There was plenty of room for our family and possibly another family too. It was close to Bryce Canyon and Grand Staircase, but even the view from the property was beautiful. My children enjoyed playing by the nearby creek, and it would be a great place to bring 4 wheelers if you have them. We will definitely stay here again.

Paradise vacation
As advertised, easy to enjoy home in a spectacular setting. Dog run is a large and securely fenced area out the back door so there were no problems. Star watching at night and convenient access to great parks. We'll be visiting again.

Great rental for a family friendly retreat! I've stayed in a lot vacation rentals and Tom is by far the best and most communicative owner I've ever dealt with. I can see why they have so many 5 star reviews, Tom rocks!

Great spot for visiting Bryce Canyon NP
Tom was a great host. Very friendly, good communication. He was available & so welcoming, his directions were spot on. The Bryce Canyon Retreat, as he calls the house is a warm, cozy comfortable house. Everything worked & it was very clean. We had way more space than we needed for 2 of us, however w/covid we appreciated the privacy & wanted to be able to make our own meals. Loved the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking. House is an easy 20 min drive to Bryce, very convenient. Wifi worked great. Be sure to go out on the deck & enjoy the dark sky & oh so many stars!

This was our second time staying at the retreat and it was just as perfect as the first! It is very well stocked and has everything you could need. The location is perfect for exploring. From National Parks to State Parks and lots of awesome off the beaten path adventures, you are right there for it. And the retreat is a great place to start and end your day. Tom is super responsive and there for any questions or recommendations. We will be back!

Comfortable home in Excellent location
This is our 3rd time staying at the retreat in Cannonville. The house is clean and comfortable and in a great location close to Bryce Canyon, Zion, Capitol Reef and the amazing Rt. 12 All American scenic highway. Tom is very helpful with suggestions for places to see and things to do and always quick to respond. Next time we are in the area we will surely stay again! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful stay. Tom was courteous, very helpful with tips, and always in communication. The house is really nice, tons of natural light and great sunrises and sunsets. A/C worked well and there were also fans. We were out most day everyday, but if you want to hang around, the house has plenty of TVs, a pool table, fireplaces, a wonderful deck, and BBQ grill. Bring your own groceries and it is completely equipped for cooking. There were some fresh snacks in the house too. And most importantly for me: the coffee maker worked well and there were filters for it!! The house is perfectly located. Tropic has all you can need for basics and some good restaurants too. It was GREAT to come ‘home’ after the long hikes and sunny days.
