About this apartment rental

Our charming, quiet one bedroom apartment is part of the Casita Blanca 18 unit condo complex.

Close enough to walk the few blocks to the laid back fishing village of Puerto Morelos, but far enough to enjoy the tranquil waters of your private beach.

This ground floor apartment is nestled aside a quiet tree lined path--about 150 feet from the pool and a few more steps to the white coral sand and beautiful blue Caribbean Sea.

You can see and hear the waves crashing over the reef and watch the palm trees swaying in the breeze.

This condo offers one very large bedroom, with a both a King and a double bed. The tiled bathroom has a shower, sink & toilet. Quality linens, bath towels, and beach towels are included.
This apartment is comfortable & casual, in an open-plan style. The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you'll need for the meals you want to eat in. You will have a five gallon purified water dispenser, and refills can be easily delivered. The adjacent dining area can easily seat 5 people. Relax in the seating area, which includes sofa / futon.

Slip out onto the large private patio to enjoy a drink or nap in lounge chair. Or step over to the pool or beach to soak up the sun & the sea views. Looking for a bit of shade? Relax under a palapa--the typical Mexican palm-frond umbrella.

Casita Blanca is a small complex located directly on the Caribbean Sea in the tranquil fishing village of Puerto Morelos. Enjoy Casita Blanca's beautiful gardens, tiled swimming pool, lounge chairs, palapas, and the fabulous beach where you can swim, kayak, and snorkel. Casita Blanca's managers, Roberto and Selene, are charming and friendly Spanish- and English-speaking hosts who will assist you with your vacation needs.

You can walk into town, either along the beach or the road. Watch the fishermen come in with their catches at the end of each day, or arrange for first-class diving or snorkeling along the coral reef, just a half mile off shore. The town also has fantastic local restaurants, a well stocked & reasonably priced grocery store, an English-language bookstore, and artisan markets.

Have a massage at a local spa, or even out on the beach. Take a yoga class, or visit The Little Cooking School to learn how to prepare local specialties.

Need more action? Its an easy drive north to Cancun (about 30 minutes) or south to Playa del Carmen (about 30 minutes) for shops, people watching, and nightlife. Or, head south along the Riviera Maya to see its famed archaeological sites including Tulum, and ecological parks (e.g., Xcaret, Xel-Há).

There is no end to the delights that await you in this beautiful part of the world!

Other Activities: Kite surfing, diving and snorkeling along the second longest reef in the world (Mesoamerican Barrier Reef) 500 meters offshore from Casita Blanca. The TPC Cancun Golf course is only 10 minutes away. Available nearby area: pre-Columbian Mayan ruins (e.g., Tulum, Chichen Itza), a reptile/crocodile zoo.

Also found throughout the area are the cenotes, fresh water swimming holes formed by collision of an ancient meteor, and the foundation of the Mayan civilization.

From June to September, Isla Holbox or Isla Mujeres (about 45 minutes North) based Turistica Moguel offers day and multi-day trips to swim with the with whale sharks. The tours start at $100 a day. The whale shark is the largest of all sharks and they appear to be single-minded in looking for Krill and plankton that make them nearly oblivious to humans.

Unit is in a quiet, somewhat secluded portion of the complex, away from the hustle and bustle of the pool area. It feels very homey and has a fully equipped kitchen, which we appreciated. Randy was always reachable and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. We had a lovely stay!

Our place was quite nice, but very dated . There was ‘stuff’ in every corner and in almost all the drawers. A college dorm vibe. No info for the place, as in maid service, tipping or how things worked. Roberto was really great , very helpful .

Unit was not what the owner described. Lots of issues that at least the prop manager attempted to repair/ fix. Location to city center was good but the villa was awful.

Great location, great beach, beautiful, well kept grounds and pool area. Our stay was short, and we felt that was enough. Perhaps we are spoiled, but we are used to well stocked kitchens and bathrooms, attentive housekeeping, property managers who regularly check in, etc. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable, and we really enjoyed the patio with our own palapa and lounge chairs and comfortable seating on the patio itself. We spent many hours out there enjoying the sea breeze. We never did sit on the pool deck or the private beach as chairs were always reserved with towels. We love Puerto Morelos, so that keeps us coming back.

I stayed at Casita Blanca for the first 2 weeks of December with my husband. He have tried a few different condos in Puerto Morelos because we love the area. The beach is beautiful, the neighborhood is safe and the people are friendly. Casita Blanca is our favorite spot so far. The grounds are perfectly taken care of. The pool area is great. Nice pool with plenty of chairs and palapas. The beach area is great too. Many chairs and palapas. A couple of steps away from the beautiful ocean. I think they just need to even out the sand a little because the chairs are difficult to place, not a real problem though ! There was a picture of the bbq in the condo description, but it was unusable. This was a little disappointing because we like cooking on the bbq. It should be removed if it can’t be used. As for the unit we stayed in, C1, it was nice. I think it could use some love. For someone who just uses the condo to sleep, it’s perfect, but if you spend lots of time there and like to cook your own meals, it could use some upgrades. We had a problem with the air conditioning but it was quickly taken care of when I contacted the owner. There is also some construction a few properties down so the noise was a little annoying, but we managed to tune it out. We are definitely returning there next year. I recommend Casita Blanca to anyone who wants an enjoyable, relaxing vacation !

We stayed in Randy's Condo at Casita Blanca for 2 weeks in Jan/Feb, and absolutely loved it. The condo and complex are exactly as advertised. A comfy King bed, good water pressure, and only a few steps to the beach to enjoy our morning beach walks. A must for us is a big shaded outdoor living space, and this condo has a large front deck and lawn that is shaded all day. The complex also has an awesome shared pool and beach area, to soak up the sun or enjoy the wonderful view. Casita Blanca feels very secure, and is a short 5-10min stroll into town for yummy food and live music. We'll definitely be back next year to our new "winter home"!

We had an excellent week staying in Randy's condo at Casita Blanca in April! Loved the town, the location, the food, snorkeling, fishing, beach massages!! There's lots to do if you choose...Playa del Carmen is very close for a day trip, as are many cenotes, which we love...Randy had suggested a few things to do and we contacted a wonderful fellow he had recommended to assist us with our fishing and snorkeling! it was awesome!!

We just spent a week in Puerto Morelos in July at Randys Casita Blanca condo and loved it. Quiet town, nice friendly people and beautiful ocean view. The temperature in the 80’s each day, no rain, with a steady ,cool breeze off the ocean in front of Casita Blanca. The most surprising part of our stay was discovering the wonderful town of Puerto Morelos. After a few days, we began calling it “Mayberry”. It was like traveling back in time to a simpler way of life. We had a rental car but didn't really need it. You can walk anywhere you need to go. If you walk out the back of Casita Blanca and turn left on the street, it is a 5 minute walk down to where the best restaurants are located. Habanero is great for tacos. They were three for $5.00 and were so large they were a meal for two people. Another short walk puts you in the main town square of Puerto Morelos. When it began to cool in the afternoon, the kids come out to play soccer. My 11 year old son joined in and played with the local boys till it was too dark to see. There were more restaurants, street vendors, an ice cream shop, small grocery store, police station, church, real estate agency and convenient store located around the square for just about anything you could need on vacation. All of this overlooking ocean with the fisherman coming and going all day. Very nice!! We toured the area over by the highway and saw the crocodile zoo, (great), botanical garden (just ok), the colonial village of puerto morelos on the highway(interesting) and the El Cid resort down the beach to the south (too busy for us) Overall, it was a great vacation and we would return.
