About this apartment rental
This original apartment was planned by an architect in a quiet lane close to one of the main streets in Venice, within Campo San Polo - one of the most famous and large squares in Venice - and it is 5 minutes walk from the famous RIALTO BRIDGE.
In Campo San Polo there is the 'Querini Dubois Palace' an excellent example of Venetian Renaissance architecture, today used as a cultural Centre also for the Film festival organization. During that event in September, St. Polo’s square becomes a moving picture theatre every evening. The apartment is really only a few minutes walk from the public water bus (called 'vaporetto' line 1 SAN STAE or SAN SILVESTRO), and it is situated near Rialto, the oldest area of Venice historic centre in a centuries old building, on the 2nd floor (North American designation, 1st European).
The entrance is through an independent door and stairs used by two apartments, with earthenware floor and original wooden beam ceilings. It offers very easy access to all the city attractions (only a short walk (15 min. - to St. Mark’s square!). Moreover, in the same district you can find 'Basilica dei Frari' a wonderful church full of historical vestiges, including Canova’s grave.
The apartment is perfect for a couple on a romantic holiday, as it offers warmth, privacy, and the comfort of the most central position you could wish for! But also, the apartment can be the perfect, comfortable and convenient base to explore Venice's beauty and discover its alleys, canal, sights - restaurants, bars and Bacari or osterie (characteristic and historic Venetian wine bars with daily SPRITZ. Meeting place where it is possible to eat small fried food and have a chat with friends or even strangers).
Shop and market are round the corner and just in a few steps you are at the fish market 'La Pescaria' famous all over the world (fish, fruit and vegetable). Moreover, only in a short distance from the apartment, you can find some of the most typical and characteristic Venetian restaurants, very interesting for the various gastronomic proposals and for the different service and rates, such as: DA FIORE, one of the most exclusive restaurants in Italy, suitable to very high standard dinner; ANTICHE CARAMPANE, Venetian cuisine, high level, very quiet in a charming corner, VECIO FRITOLIN an old and marvellous tavern in Calle della Regina (Rialto), meeting place for artists and, in a short way away close to them, AL NONO RISORTO for a dinner in the garden; in Campo St. Polo BIRRARIA LA CORTE pizza-restaurant and characteristic Venetian cuisine. While, for visitors of the Biennal Exhibition gardens, AL DIPORTO at St. Elena’s island offers typical dishes and is attended by Venetians.

Enrico’s place was very clean and conveniently located. Luca met me at the vaporetto stop and walked me through the apartment, which was helpful and he gave recommendations around the city. The air conditioning worked great. No complaints.

My husband and I had a pleasant stay at Enrico’s Hideaway accommodation. We stayed 8 nights and really appreciated the hospitality and quietness of the neighborhood. It was our first visit to Venice and the location of the apartment was ideal as it was close enough to the main points of interest on the beautiful island of Venice and far enough away to experience peace and quiet for resting each night.

Clean, comfortable, practical, quiet, centrally located. Not far from San Silvestro vaporetto stop, eateries, small grocery store. Owner is always very helpful.

Stayed for five nights and we couldn't have picked a better location to view Venice. We were able to walk to all the key sights. Apartment was perfect for the two of us, comfortable and had everything we needed. Would book again.

We had such an amazing stay at Enrico's in Venice. The location is tucked away in a private area and is close to anything and everything you could possibly want to see or do in Venice. The apt is charming and is certainly suitable for a couple or young family. A canal runs right alongside the apartment and we enjoyed seeing the gondolas and hearing the instrument-playing and singing! There is an open-air square right by the apartment where we found what became our favorite place for breakfast and dinner. Wonderful restaurants and shopping opportunities abound. If you're heading to Venice and wondering where to stay I would highly recommend Enrico's place!

The apartment was very lovely, clean. Large windows looked across a small canal into a garden, very nice! The sitting room was a very comfortable place to sit at the end of a day. We did not end up cooking, but the kitchen seemed we appointed. Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming, we were greeted at a vaporetto stop and shown to the apartment, very easy check-in

We stayed 5 nights in this lovely and updated apartment. It was just as depicted in the photos with two views to two different canals. Getting around Venice is always a little challenging but this apartment was the perfect basecamp. Marina met us at our water taxi stop to lead us to the apartment for a full tour. The kitchen is awesome. and the bed quite comfortable. Great for our short stay!!!

This is our second stay at Enrico’s hideaway after 4 years of pandemic. It is a delightful home, with lovely views of canal and an adjacent garden. The position in Venice is perfect, so central, to all sites, shops and restaurants and yet so quiet.
Enrico is an excellent host and excellent communicator. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at Enrico’s apartment and loved to see the gondolas go by. The location was near some great restaurants and only about 20 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge and another 15 mins to St. Marks Square. Venice is a very unique and beautiful place to visit. We’ll be back:)

We enjoyed our stay at Enrico's apartment. The location was central and we walked to most every neighborhood in Venice. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and airy with lots of windows and a view from the kitchen to a classic quiet canal. The wifi was excellent. Nearby was a fun shopping street but even better were all the nearby restaurants. We loved every minute in Venice and would wish to return to Enrico's apartments.

Enrico’s apartment is perfectly situated in Venice with easy access to all the places you need want to see. Great restaurants in the neighborhood with easy access transportation, although we walked everywhere. The apartment is in a safe location and is situated with all necessities and comfort. Enrico is a gentleman that is in touch with his guest and was extremely accommodating in all respects. We highly recommend this apartment!

It is so quiet and peaceful, you can't imagine you are right in the heart of Venice where nothing is more than a 15 minute walk away. Great nearby restaurants (recommend Amarone for wine tasting or a melt in your mouth steak). The apartment is very comfortable with big windows to enjoy being on the peaceful canal.

Perfect location and great host!
Perfect and quiet location yet close to everything of interest in Venice. Nice Canal views with an occasional gondola passing by made the visit even better. Enrico communicates efficiently and effectively to make sure all goes well. The murano/burano recommendation was brilliant and is a must day trip. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful apartment in a quiet area with a fabulous location. Very safe area and the apartment is accessed from a courtyard with a locked gate. It is on a small canal and gondoliers will pass by adding extra charm and ambiance. And then across the canal is a beautiful garden. So when you look out the main windows you see lovely green foliage. It is very peaceful and beautiful. And with the hustle of Venice, this place is a calming retreat. The location is fabulous. Just around the corner is a great restaurant with amazing food called Sant' Aponal. The squid is amazing as is the pasta. I get the impression that a lot of locals go there, and that is always a good sign.So if you are tired from walking around all day, you can just walk a short distance around the corner to a fabulous restaurant. There is a local COOP store where you can get amazing wines for cheap and some food to have in the house if you don't want to go out all the timeAnother great restaurant is Bancogiro. And our favorite place was Trattoria Rialto Novo. it is close to the Rialto bridge and an absolutist MUST if you like pasta and seafood. As for their recommendations and take them. We just let the waiter choose our meals and were blown away. It was the best food we had in Italy, and we went to Venice, Florence, and Rome. But this was our favorite food and went there multiple times. The Guggenheim is a great experience, too.Overall I would highly recommend Enrico's place and will be telling our friends who visit Venice to definitely book this place.

Perfect Gem for Vacation
Enrico is the most gracious host I have met and the fact that he shares his "hideaway" with others had us feeling so lucky. This apartment was in such a perfect location as it was not directly in the center of Venice, but is away from the noise and so easy to access via vaporetto. Enrico shared with us his restaurant recommendations and places to see and things to do. The apartment looks right onto the canal and you can watch the gondolas and small boats going down the canals and it is so peaceful (and also very romantic). There are many great restaurants within walking distance from the apartment and amazing gelato and pastries closeby as well. We were met at the vaporetto by Enrico and he walked us to the apartment (just a short walk) and showed us the wonderful sites along the way. Having never been to Venice before, it was a magical stroll. The apartment is clean and beautiful and has every amenity you could possibly need. We will go back to Venice and hope to be lucky enough to rent this apartment again.

Amazing place!
Before I left for Italy I dreamt of an enchanting home overlooking a small canal with the gondoliers going by - & magically this was it! Plus a gorgeous updated suite with a garden out back. This place is simply amazing!

One of the best HomeAway experiences
We have stayed at around 20 HomeAways & Airbnbs over the last 3 years & Enrico’s Hideaway ranks in the top 20%. It is has described. Perhaps the cleanest one we have stayed in plus it has a washing machine. Right on a small canal where occasionally a gondola will pass by. Just a 15 minute walk to the famous St. Marks Square assuming you do not get lost on Venice’s narrow streets & get lost a few times happens to most tourists. Got to be the best equipped kitchen we have experienced. Enrico was very detailed & informative with all his communications. It is a must stay while in Venice,

Lovely tucked away home
Perfect home in a centrally located area but still tucked away from the crowds. Make sure you get a lesson on how to use the air conditioner and water heater. The remote for AC needs to be directed at a controller on the ceiling in the closet, not at the thermostat in the living room. Turning that temperature down affects the hot water temp. Not a huge deal. We figured it out and Enrico sent help too.
Also, I wouldn’t book a home in Venice without window screens (which Enrico’s home has.) Mosquitos can be bad. The gondolas from the apartment windows are enchanting!

Great spot in Venice
We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed being a short walk from Rialto bridge, the San Silvester vaporetto stop, Campo San Polo, and many good restaurants. The apartment was modern and an ample size for the two of us. It’s location on the canal was a treat as we enjoyed watching numerous gondolas that went by or windows each day, and being across from a treed green space added to the views and made the area very quiet. Enrico was very good to work with and responded to our questions in a timely fashion. We would recommend this as a great place to stay in Venice!

Absolutely beautiful location.
Enrico's Hideaway was just that. A haven away from the tourist areas. Located on a canal, across from a secret garden. The apartment had everything we needed. Clean, well appointed and comfortable. Enrico is the consummate host, greeting us off the Vaporetto and giving us a small tour of the area. We were sad to leave.

All around excellent experience!!
This is a great flat! It was spacious for 3 of us, very clean and well stocked for cooking an occasional meal "at home". The location was stellar! Close to Rialto Bridge and far enough away from the maddening crowds of St. Mark's (but still a quick walk to get there!). The view was great ... the canal and the beautiful gardens across the canal. Enrico was fabulous! He is extremely friendly and gave us great information about nearby shops, restaurants, etc.! I highly recommend this flat and would return here again!

A Treasure in Venice
Words really can’t explain how fantastic our experience was at Enrico’s hideaway! If you are even considering this property, look no further and book it. The location is fantastic! A small canal runs below the apartment where gondolas come by with singers and accordion players to serenade not just their guests but also guests of the apartment - my 11 year old son would open the window and join in when he knew the songs! Enrico is a marvelous host and takes great care to orient you to the location of the apartment, which is necessary in Venice. He has also put together an incredibly helpful binder of recommendations and information that we used daily. We also must say that we consider Enrico to be a new friend, a very kind gentleman who you will like immediately! The apartment itself is beautiful - so clean and well furnished with everything you need for eating dinner in or bringing take away, making coffee in the morning and just being comfortable during the time you spend there. The neighborhood is not packed with tourists but gives you a feeling of home in a beautiful place. You are close to very good restaurants, easy walk to the major sites, easy walk to the vaporetto, and please consider seeing San Pantalon and the Frari Churches, within very close proximity to the apartment (not as crowded but incredible beauty). Wonderful location for kids - space for everyone. You will be very happy with your selection if you choose to stay here!

A hidden gem!
After reading all of the reviews, I felt fortunate to be able to book this apartment! Enrico had excellent communication prior to my arrival and provided helpful information regarding travel to Venice. Upon arrival, he greeted me at the Alilaguna stop and walked me to the apartment. The apartment was clean, fully stocked, and had a wealth of information for our stay in Venice. The location was ideal. Right off of Campo San Polo, the windows overlook a hidden garden with a canal passing below. The screens kept the bugs out at night and we awakened each day to birdsong. Although it was hot during the days, the nights were comfortable with the fans and open windows and we didn't need the A/C. We were perfectly located-close to the main touristy areas, but removed enough to be in a peaceful neighborhood to retreat from the crowds.
If we are lucky enough to return to Venice in the future, I would not hesitate to stay here again! Enrico is a great host, an immediate friend, and truly wishes for you to enjoy all that Venice has to offer.

Amazing!!!!!
Simply couldn't ask for a better place! Enrico so friendly and helpful, loved the personal greeting at the water bus stop. Location great, away from the tourist heavy zone but yet so easy to get around. CLEAN apartment!!! And the view.... seriously I loved having wine by the window watching the gondalas go by!

Wonderful stay.
Enrico was wonderful from the moment our reservation was confirmed. He responded with a personal message right away. Prior to check in he contacted us with instructions and a meeting point on the Grand Canal. Enrico personally welcomed us is a very warm and friendly manner and even gave us a gift from his home city, Modena. He and his wife were very gracious hosts.
The apartment was completely stocked with towels, linens, umbrellas, washing machine, kitchen utensils and equipment and some basic cooking items. There were many travel guides available for use. His suggestions were spot on - good and bad!
The apartment is wonderful and is directly across from a lovely garden so you can enjoy green space right within the city center. There are screens on the windows so they can be open without bugs or birds flying in.
The location was great and just a short walk to the Rialto bridge and the market.
Defiantly will return!

Delightful experience!
Enrico's apartment was everything we hoped for! Very comfortable and nicely appointed with everything to make you feel at home.
Staying in a quiet neighborhood was a great experience. We could sit at the window and watch gondolas passing below. In the evening we enjoyed having the windows open to a really private area. Highly recommend this property!
