About this apartment rental
Standing a shell’s throw from the warm Caribbean waters, Pelican Point’s 5 Vacation Apartments are beachfront & on the famous Sandy Beach, the center of activities/beach life in Rincon. From the courtyard-level, second-story, and penthouse, guests looking to unwind will find themselves in the middle of the idyllic tropical scenery & their piece of paradise. We can assist in setting up day sailing tours, sunset cruises, and tours of the only US rain forest, along with special tours like Gilligan's Island and multiple huge waterfalls which are within an hour. The crystal clear summer ocean is great for swimming and snorkeling on uncrowded stretches of sand; brilliant sunsets are among Pelican Point's natural amenities. During winter months, Rincon has been deemed the “Maui of the Caribbean-surfing capital." Rincon features some of the most forgivable and unforgettable waves in the world. It is centered on a point that catches swells from two directions, with consistent offshore winds on the 2 points. The best waves occur from November through April. Wake up and look at the surf conditions without your feet ever touching the floor. Or set in the courtyard hammocks and watch surfers from around the world.
Our beachfront estate consists of 5 individual and completely private beachfront apartments; all have full kitchens equipped with microwaves, stoves, toasters, coffee pots, etc. The apartments are set up for 4 guests but can accommodate 5 (if families) and the penthouse is set up for 6 but can accommodate 7. The penthouse consists of the entire top floor, has Spanish tile throughout, and has an A-Frame teak ceiling that doubles its overall feel. Each apt has a living room with a pullout futon, TV, ceiling fans and opens onto your own private balcony which overlooks/joins the beachfront courtyard and Sandy Beach. Each bedroom has split unit AC and ceiling fans. Each apt is set up the same, 2 small beds in one bedroom and a large bed in the master along with a futon sofa in the living room. The penthouse has 4 small beds and a queen in the master and has 2 bathrooms but double the size of the regular 4 apts.
Pelican Point is located in the middle of Sandy beach and where everyone wants to be. There are only 4-5 rentals on Sandy beach and besides one home, everything else is a 'hotel style' room with a bed, bath, and coffee pot. After taxes and fees, they are about the same price as we offer our full 2 bedroom apartments. There are only 18 beachfront locations on all of Sandy Beach (known as the Fun Coast) and even fewer beachfront rentals. When you book 4-5 guests in an apt, rates are as low as $35-$40/Person/Night and a real bargain as we keep rates low. Rates range from $150 in low season (May, Aug-Sept) to $175/N (High Season) for the regular 4 apts and $225- $250/N for the penthouse, plus 7% PR taxes.
The northern beach (Sandy Beach) of Rincon is where the locals come to vacation so make sure you book early, as it's typically booked months in advance. PP is perfect for weddings, birthdays, special events, and even office parties. This is the biggest, nicest beachfront/courtyard rental on Sandy Beach. To book an individual apartment use the property numbers below: To book multiple apts, use the following VRBO numbers, they are all "Book it now enabled."

Restaurants: Tai, German, Italian, Topas, lots of seafood, and great local restaurants.
Activities: Horse-back tours along the beach, spectacular sunsets, rated 2nd best place for finding jewelry grade sea glass in the world, Whale watching, leather-back turtle nesting, hiking, mountain biking, caves, deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, diving, and the best surf within 1,000 miles. Pelican Point hosted the 2010-2011 Rip Curl (top 100 pro-surfers) beach party during their world event; this was the only sanctioned Rincon event and what an honor!
We host lots of weddings that are held on the beach out front and typically the receptions are held in our beachfront, gated, and private courtyard for groups as large as 100. We also host business events, birthday parties, retreats, surf camps, or general celebrations which are held in the courtyard where huge BBQs are created on the large double BBQ-kitchen prep area. This is where most guest spends 85% of their awake hours, telling us they don't want to leave as they can see all of Sandy Beach, the nightlife, and everything happening from there. Often endangered Leatherback Turtles, the size of a VW bug-car nest step away. Watch the endangered Humpback Whales jump from the water while nursing their young from the comforts of your private balcony or in one of the lawn chairs/gazebo/hammocks within the courtyard. We certainly invite you to look at any of the many customer reviews to see what past guests think and share this message and reviews with others in your party. Let us know how we can make this a trip you'll always cherish!

We had a great time!! The spot was nice size with a nice balcony. So close to the beach, you can hear the waves crashing. The beach was great and never too crowded. The host was very responsive and answered all my questions. Staying at Pelican definitely enhanced our PR trip.
Thanks for having us!!

This was the perfect place for our family to rest and relax for 2 whole weeks. Our friends said our pictures look like a postcard. We used the hammocks, Adirondack chairs, surfboard, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and umbrella, charcoal grill provided for us. We loved the balcony for coffee in the morning or cards in the evening. You can see the sunrise and sunset!

It was right on the beach! Loved it! We went to other beaches but kept coming back to our beach because it was sandy not rocky, walkable and actually, really good surfing! Plenty of beach chairs, snorkeling googles, and umbrellas. 2 minute walk to Big Kahunas and you will experience the best burger on the island!

We absolutely loved our stay at Pelican Point. The owners communication was spot on. The location was ideal! It was clean and comfortable. We loved the beach that was just steps away from our deck! We loved the food that was nearby. We loved everything about it! We will definitely be back.

"Highly recommend this lovely apartment! It was spotless, well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds were extremely comfortable. The AC worked wonderfully although the breeze off the balcony kept the apartment cool. The balcony was our favorite spot to relax after a day at the beach. Excellent communication from the property owner Jim - Very easy check in and check out. Will definitely be back next January!

Our recent stay at this VRBO property was nothing short of spectacular, making it a must-share experience. The location is the highlight – it truly can't be beaten! Waking up to breathtaking views every day was a dream come true, and the soothing sound of waves, whether from the beach or our favorite spot – the balcony – added a magical touch to our stay.
The apartment itself was immaculate and cozy, catering to all our needs. Every detail, from the comfortably plush mattresses to the well-equipped kitchen, was thoughtfully considered. It's an older property, but its maintenance is commendable, preserving its charm while ensuring modern comfort. WIFI was great!
Our host, Springer, deserves a special mention for his remarkable hospitality. His tips on the best beach spots for kids, local grocery stores, and restaurants were invaluable. His responsiveness to our queries was swift and helpful, making our stay hassle-free.
If you're seeking a beach getaway that feels like a home away from home, this is the place. It's not just a rental; it's a well-cared-for space that offers peace, comfort, and stunning natural beauty. The only downside? Seven days just aren't enough in this paradise. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to friends and family, and I'm eagerly planning my return visit.

We loved our stay at Pelican Point. Sandy Beach is beautiful, the view from our balcony was perfect. Jim was a great host, he was very helpful and had a wealth of local knowledge about where to go and what to do.

Great location away from crowds. Comfortable apartment setting, had everything we needed. Awesome location. We walked from the unit all the way to El Faro de Rincón on beaches and trail (Sandy Beach, Pool's Beach, Spanish Wall Beach and MTB trail, Domes Beach, and the lighthouse). Nearby Big Kahuna bar was open late and fun place to hang out in the late evenings. The Rincon area had a power outage while we were there and Jim was very communicative. We didn't use the grill area, but we did sit out on the patio area overlooking the ocean at night.

Our family stayed for 10 days at Pelican Point and could not be happier. Eddie, who is a caretaker of the property, was the highlight, he is kind, friendly, concerned about our wellbeing and knowledgeable, what a gem! We travelled around the island for a couple days and coming back to Pelican Point certainly felt like “coming home”. Air conditioner worked like a charm, but just opening the doors during the day kept a great breeze flowing. You can walk out onto the beach and straight into the water, the sandy beach lives up to its name, the sand extends all the way into the water, no rocks or coral to avoid. I’m a rockhound and enjoyed searching for shells and sea glass every morning, both in great supply! There are a few eating joints within walking distance, prices are comparable to the states (Oregon, in any case). (In our opinion, Tamboo, directly next door was overpriced for the small portions you receive.) Edwards Famcoop was the place for all your food (and alcohol) staples. Thursday in Rincon art walk was a fun experience, Rincon in town was a perfect spot for hanging out or buying souvenirs! Love Pelican Point, the housekeepers and most of all Eddie!

Pelican Point was in the perfect spot for a quick little surf trip with my son for graduation. There were surf breaks on both sides of the property. The courtyard area was cool to hang out in as well. It was interesting talking with the other guest about Rincon and the other surf spots.
The property was comfortable, safe and provided all of your needs.
We will most likely return here one day.
P.S. Sana Farm to Table was delicious for brunch/lunch options.

Great location, great management!
My husband and I stayed in apt C in the Pelican Pointe apartments. Jim the owner helped us with everything, from helping us change our dates to accommodate my husband’s work schedule, to suggestions for local surf shops and great local places to eat. The property is beautiful. We will be back!!

Love it!
We have stayed at this property many times, alone as a couple, with kids and with friends and we love it. The oceanfront location is perfect, the house is simple but in a perfect location and offers all that we need. Carlos is accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Great location, great community, bare bones amenities
Location is phenomenal- you can actually see whales from the balcony! There’s many great restaurants and coffee/bagel shops within feet of the property .
Just a five minute drive to Rinćon, it was a great option for a quick stay. I would say however, if any sort of ‘luxury’ is your thing, just know this property likely isn’t for you.
Full transparency, I enjoyed my stay immensely, but there were a few things I would have improved upon..
1) bring your own bath towels. The ones provided barely cover a human and likely are still in existence from the 70’s.
2) bring a pillow and blanket. All that are provided are again original to the property...
3) the beds are SOLID. If you like your plush, pillow top mattress, this is not your place
4) showering- it’s phenomenal IF you know to turn the heater on so there’s warm water..
5) the door only stay shut if it’s locked with the key/deadbolt - so if only part of your group wants to go out to the beach they have to lock you in and you cannot leave until they get back as the door would be standing open. There’s only one key per apartment.
6) bring house shoes.
it’s a surfing community and a surfing condo - I wasn’t surfing lol! I’d definitely go back to this location, but I’d be better prepared.

Perfect place for visiting Rincon area.
Pelican Point is GREAT! We were here to surf and could not have chosen a better place to stay. The property was clean and right on the beach. It is a bit rustic but perfect for surf pad and fun in the sun. The balcony was fantastic with a great views of the ocean. If you are planning to visit the Rincon area this is a great option. Less than 10 minutes to Maria's and Domes. 15 minutes from Rincon center. There are 4 good restaurants within walking distance. Tamboo right next door which you can hear on Friday or Saturday nights but who doesn't want to fall asleep to a little live music and people having a good time mixed with the sounds of the waves. Carlos and Jim were accessible and super nice and helpful. Would stay here again for sure.

Beautiful, chill, great beach location
We are so happy with our stay here! Carlos is awesome, so helpful and full of information. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed grilling out a couple of nights and walking to nearby places for dinner. Carlos also gave some other great recommendations for beaches and dining. We really enjoyed sitting on the beach in front of the place and reading books in the morning (and afternoon) and going for swims right there. We also walked down the street to Barefoot Yoga several times in the mornings. Highly recommend and hope to return soon!

Good Times!
Jim and Carlos were great and went the extra mile for us. Our family loved hanging out at Sandy Beach and it was great to get all the local info on the area for cool things to do. It felt like having your own house and it was super relaxed. We would come back again in a heartbeat.

Beachfront, friendly comfort
This is one of the best locations in the West. It is dog and family friendly despite having as a neighbor one of the most famous bars in western PR. My two kids had a blast in the waves, while my wife read a book, and I did some kitesurfing (intermediate to advance launch/land site). The apartment was rustic, yet clean and the beds were nice and firm. No problem with the sound next door. Air conditioners were brand new. Thank you Jim and Carlos.

Can't beat the view!
Can't beat the view! We moved from another property to this one and felt MUCH better about these accommodations! They were slightly more affordable than similar options we priced, and as seaside as it gets! We already learned that Puerto Rico is more relaxed than the US in some standards, so I was relieved that the floors were clean under the beds, and the property was clearly well-tended, with fully forgivable imperfections. We enjoyed blended drinks & meals on the balcony overlooking the sea, which has a convenient little table and hammock. We rented boards from Rincon Surf School and walked to the most popular beginner surf spot around, where they also gave us a lesson. We took advantage of being next door to Tamboo, and had fabulous sunset meals or cocktails "out."
I highly recommend keeping the contact info you're provided, and using it if things come up. Our experience suggests they'll address any issue before it becomes a complaint (and if you don't provide the chance to address, you really shouldn't be publicly complaining). Things came up -AC remote batteries died (rendering the AC useless), but we had new ones within 2 hours of reporting/sooner than we even needed it! I thought the salty air got to the living area ceiling fan and it didn't work so I called and Viola - the answer - give it a tap to get going... and it worked well. We were there Monday-Thursday and didn't need earplugs, but I hear it can get loud on weekends and kept some handy just in case. Another HOT TIP - if you're coming from the US - put your phone and data settings on roam. It wasn't considered roaming for Verizon, but my iPhone didn't detect that there was service until I did that. Internet works very well, but is spotty throughout the general area, which means that anywhere, we should expect mini downtime. (I could get the open signal next door as well as Pelican's password protected signal and their ten minute breaks in service were simultaneous).
This apartment is for someone who wants to be fully immersed in the seaside experience and who's eager to be pleased. We met the neighbors, but had plenty of privacy too. They were honeymooners and travelers and they loved it too (actually gave us a tour when we were trying to find better/cleaner accommodations and that's how we found Pelican). The lighting inside or the paint colors could be slightly brighter, but we didn't spend enough time inside to care . . .the balcony /patio is where it's at!
