Conveniently located property with friendly neighbors. Clean cottages with well-stocked units. Great for families with spacious areas and comfortable beds. Ideal for a vacation.

Very conveniently located. Property was clean and neighbors were friendly Cottage could definitely use some new living room furniture, but was sufficient for our stay.

We loved the property - perfect for what we needed! The one main “issue” we had was parking. Being familiar with Gulfport, we completely understand how busy it gets. But most evenings, if we left with our car, by the time we got back there was no parking left. People from the bars, etc took them. Not sure how that can be resolved. The only other item is that we did see a couple of roaches downstairs. Thank you for sharing your space!!!

Great location within walking distance of downtown. Unit was well stocked. Very comfortable. Especially loved the “attic room”.

When we checked in we had no idea about the area. The locals were so friendly and showed us around and gave us great ideas on where to eat. We were in walking distance of the beach and pretty much everything. The house had everything and more! The upstairs was our favorite area. We got to have our own bathroom and the kids got the downstairs. Definitely a must for vacation. Definitely would stay again!

It's an older place but you can't beat the lication. The 3rd room was said to have a twin bed but in reality was a day bed which is hard for an adult to sleep on and was not made up as a bed.The owner was very flexible at checkout since we had a late flight which was fantastic. The full size beds were very comfortable. Very nice being near all the restaurants. The outdoor area wasn't set up to sit outside.a gazebo with no coverings unfortunately a friend was looking for an item she had lost behind the day bed and found a couple of used items that shouldn't have been there from a previous occupant.

It’s taken me so long to review because I just don’t know how to say things.
Location is perfect. One block from a thriving downtown and a few blocks to the water. The owner was very fast at responding to our issues, and was a very kind gentleman. The unit is very spacious with the three bedrooms.
What we didn’t care for:
The ac unit in the upstairs bathroom was leaking onto the bed, causing water damage to the blinds along with some window sil/sheet rock issues. We had to pull the bed away from the wall. The owner said that they had just replaced the unit fairly recently.
The beds were very stiff, but that can be just a matter of preference.
There were some sort of beetle like bugs found dead behind the entrance door when we got into the unit, to which the owner stated the cleaning lady was new. The floors were dirty and you had black feet if you walked around barefoot.
The couch was filthy and stained. The owner stated they usually cleaned the covers fairly often, but didn’t have a chance to do it this time.
Back to the bugs, we found more beetles behind the door before we left, and there was an infestation of small spiders on the coffee table when we returned home one night.
It looked like there was water damage in the ceiling of the downstairs bedroom, but it was explained to us that it had been fixed and just not repainted due to lack of time between rentals during this busy season.
Place has great potential and we could’ve just had an off week, but that was our experience.

Everything was as promised, we had a great stay

Our family appreciated the architectural features and layout of this older home. It made us feel like we had stepped back in time but still enjoyed all the modern conveniences of updated kitchen and bathrooms. We also loved the walkability of Gulfport. Everything was very close to this home's location. The bed in the upstairs suite is comfortable but the beds in the bedrooms downstairs need new mattresses. A paved path to at least one of the outside doors would also be an improvement.

Cute place. Very Clean inside. Landscape could use some work but the yard is on par with the neighborhood. Easy walk to lots of great spots in Gulfport. Would book again.

Wonderful place, wonderful location
We loved our stay and would definitely stay again. The place was very clean and in an amazing location. We walked to restaurants and shops. The best part was we got to watch the fireworks from our front yard and walk 2 blocks to see a 4th of July Golf Cart parade. FYI: the place had lots of extra stuff like beach towels, chairs, shampoo and conditioner, soap, hand soap and lots of stuff that I’m sure other guests have left. Stuff like mosquito spray, lotions, sunscreen etc. Some of the stuff really came in handy and saved us a few bucks.

Unhappy vacationers
No air conditioning after the first day. Attempts to rectify it failed. Main floor bathroom very uncomfortable. Ant infestation and spiders, we needed to buy insect spray and spray inside and out. Entries were not easily made, uneven steps, mostly without railings. The owner was aware that my husband,Ken is handicapped and did not mention these problems.

Great location with everything you need
This was a wonderful location in Gulfport. You can literally walk to every major restaurant in town in 5 minutes from here. We were two couples in our 60s who spent our time biking, golfing, dining out and eating in. One of our party enjoys cooking so we did a lot of that and generally found the kitchen to be well stocked with the necessary tools. We have friends in the area and we’re happy we had a table that comfortably fits 6. The upstairs is a huge bedroom and nice bathroom. The downstairs was smaller so they used the 3rd bedroom for storage space. We used both air conditioning and heat during Feb - March and both worked well. It is an older house so everything isn’t perfect, but the beds were comfortable, the washer/dryer worked fine as did the internet. We enjoy sitting outside however, the shared space is not near this house so we didn’t use it. We had chairs we used for sitting near our entrance. The furniture is mostly older, rental house type stuff, but functional. Anyhow, we enjoyed it and would definitely stay there again. Sadly, it was already rented for the time we wanted next year.

Just what we needed!
Great location and was very nice home away from home. Clean, quaint, and the beds were great for a good nights rest! Loved the tables and chairs in the common area, where we enjoyed the live music from a few doors down. Stroll to the water in 10 min or so. We will be back soon as we can. Thanks for sharing this quaint house!

A little disappointed
The house was clean and roomy. However we found a large roach in a bedroom. Perhaps more upsetting is that the main refrigerator didn’t work well at all ( which of the owners were aware of) and we had to store 4 days of food in a college dorm size mini fridge. On our second to last day at the house the malfunctioning refrigerator in the kitchen tripped a breaker as it had done several times throughout the week causing the mini fridge to shut off. We lost approximately $75 dollars worth of food and could not cook breakfast the morning we had to check out. I informed the owners of the situation and kindly requested to be reimbursed for the groceries. They have yet to reply.

Loved the place
It was great except the refrigerator wasn’t working properly. Spoiled some of our meat & dairy. Other than that loved it

Made my life easy and fun.
I needed to be in Gulfport to work on my own rental property (ugh); but, staying at this cottage made the task painless and being so close to Beach Blvd. made the task fun. But wait, there's more... after I moved into my own house, the owners, David and Margaret, stayed in touch and did things that made the rest of my stay in Gulfport easier and more fun.

great little cottage in Gulfport
Visiting Gulfport for work, we needed a place to stay with a central location. The Orange Cottage fit the bill. We could walk down to the water where you would find various restaurants and bars. The house was very basic and comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. It was used as a place to sleep and was perfect for that. Check in was easy and we had a great stay at the Orange Cottage.

Gulfport was a wonderful vacation spot and staying in Paula & Alex’s place was icing on the cake.
The house was very well appointed, with quality touches throughout. All needs were anticipated, from the cheese grater, to the packing tape, beach supplies, and household supplies. Paula and Alex were wonderful hosts.

Already Booked for Next Year!
We had such a great stay in this comfortable home near fine restaurants (Pia's!), library, rec center and more. Not far from the beach where we enjoyed the type of fantastic sunrises that make a photographer's day. The house was very clean and well stocked with lots of amenities. Paula was incredibly responsive to questions and just lovely. Looking forward to returning!

Home away from home!
We absolutely loved our stay here. The home was very comfortable! Even as we brought a newborn home we adopted. It was great to be in the quaint little town of Gulfport and be able to walk to food / beach / parks, etc...
Paula was very friendly and accommodating. I can't say enough good things about this place, but overall the word that describes it all is comfortable!

Beautiful Property
Owners were super kind. Neighbors ...not so much! Atleast the ones we met. Loved the location and would return. Only complaint is lack of privacy when at house but on the positive the owners were making improvements and had 2 other adjoining properties. They were great! I just prefer a bit more privacy especially early in the morning.

Cute cottage, fun neighborhood
The Gulfport neighborhood is a great community and this adorable house was within walking distance to the Gulfport beach and many great restaurants (our favorite was Pia's Italian restaurant...their food was as good as the food we had in Italy!) Nice touchs at the house were the bathrooms having a supply of shampoo and sunscreen, laundry detergent with the washer and dryer and basic spices and coffee filters in the kitchen...the little things you will need that you may not have packed along. We would definitely stay here again.
