Looking for a Getaway only 90 miles from NYC in the scenic Catskills Mountains?
This cozy cabin makes you feel far from the city the second you arrive. The Log cabin is situated in the hamlet of Smallwood NY which is a community of cabins and cottages from the 1920's, 30's, and 40's. Smallwood is a wooded community with its own lake, waterfall, Forest Reserve, and a recreational area on the Toronto Reservoir. Smallwood is located in Sullivan County and is part of the town of Bethel, NY which is where the original Woodstock Festival Happened. This site is now home to the Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center. The cabin is a also 10 minutes from the new Resorts World Catskills Casino and Hotel and the Y01 Wellness Center Resort.
This cabin is surrounded by trees and a has a beautiful Stream Running through the property with a little wooden bridge. There is also an adjacent non-swimming pond which you can view both on the deck and screened in porch.
The inviting outside space features a large screened in Porch with full outdoor living room set and mini refrigerator - great place to have your breakfast or sip wine at night and enjoy the serene views of the pond, stream, and trees. Very large Deck the length of the house that platforms down to the yard. Deck features outdoor extendable dining table and patio furniture as well as a charcoal BBQ.
The deck is filled with beautiful flowers and plants.
The Cabin itself has been gut renovated and features: New Raw Pine Walls throughout and the smell of makes you feel your in the country. There are vaulted Pine Ceilings, 4 skylights, a Stainglass Window, an original Stone Fireplace with Wood Burning Stove. New Windows throughout including large picture windows to gaze at the woods, stream, pond and property.
Fully equipped renovated country chic kitchen with granite counter tops, slate back splash, topnotch stainless steel appliances - dishwasher, microwave, Gas 5 Burner Cook top and Separate Oven, Refrigerator with Ice maker. There is also a washer/dryer.
The cabin has 2 small cozy bedrooms with Log Frame Beds (One Queen and One Full Size Bed).
Large Living Room with Sectional Couch window side and comfty reclining and rocking chairs in front of the fireplace. Flatscreen TV with Built in DVD and ROKU (No Cable). There is internet and WIFI. New Furnace and Heating System. 3 Ceiling Fans.
About the Area: Smallwood is located just a few minutes from the the Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center, Historic Woodstock Museum, Resorts World Catskills Casino, Y01 Wellness Center, and the restaurants on Kauneonga and White Lakes. It is a short drive to the quaint river towns of Narrowsburg, Barryville, Callicoon, Livingston Manor, and Jeffersonville. Plenty of Hiking abound in the Area including Frost Valley Nature. Lake Superior is also a few miles away and there is rafting and tubing on the Delaware River. Antiquing and scenic drives abound. Kayaking and Canoeing, biking and skiing (downhill and cross country) in the winter. There are also great distilleries and breweries in the area but Its beautiful all times of year. It is also accessible to many of the summer camps in the area for families wanting to visit during parent weekends.
