The view of the ocean and Haystack Rock are amazing. The proximity to stores and restaurants is great (walking distance). The house has everything you need to stay at the house, enjoy out back, watch the gorgeous sunset, and listen to the ocean. The front view of the mountains is also fantastic.
Note: There are several stairs going into the home. Our person with a disability had some issues. Also, you can cut across the back path for easier beach access because straight out back is a super steep drop. But the house is relaxing and the views are amazing and the proximity is fabulous.

We loved to sit and stare…at the ever-changing ocean and at the never-changing Haystack Rock. Stunningly beautiful. The home is exceptionally welcoming with a large kitchen, wonderful amenities and comfortable beds. We loved the mid-century modern and surfing decor. The location is perfect, with the beach right at your feet. And there is so much to see in the general area, too.

The views from this house were *incredible* and the location right on beach was amazing. We loved the modern decor and cozy fireplace. The kitchen was well appointed (spices, olive oil, crab crackers, and oyster knife, etc.). Pacific City is such a gem - great restaurants and bakeries and a gorgeous beach. We’ll definitely be back!

Booked a week before spring break to get 3 special needs kids out of the house for an adventure. Older girls loved loft sleeping area, teen son enjoyed bunk bed room. Everyone impressed with the ocean views and the well stocked kitchen. Beach access is a short walk away (not from back yard it was too steep). We had a great time on our spur of the moment mini vacation.

We chose Pacific City, and this location specifically, because of its central location to the Sandlake Dunes Recreation Area. It only took us 15 minutes to get to the dunes, and local fishing spots were well stocked (Town Lake). We also use this home as a launching point for other Oregon sites, like the Pacific Byway, and other parks in Dunes City. It was an easy day trip for us. Local hikes were also impressive, like Cape Kiwanda, Cape Lookout, and Mount Hebo. Great places to eat include Doryland Pizza and Grateful Bread (for breakfast). The property itself was amazing with a fireplace and easy beach access. Amazing views of haystack rock!

Lovely spot to wind down and get back to nature. The house was just right and the view was unbelievable.

We loved it! No complaints whatsoever. Beach access was no problem for us. We just ran down the sandy dune. If mobility is an issue, you can walk a couples houses to the north and the slope is more gentle. The house is just as described and photos are accurate.

What an awesome place and an AMAZING view! This house fit perfectly for my family of 4 with a beautiful view. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes as well as spices, coffee/tea, and some snacks. We enjoyed opening the windows and letting the breeze blow in and listening to the ocean waves. The bathrooms were stocked nicely with toiletries and towels. There were blankets throughout the house. I loved how there were signs on the light switches letting you know which light each one controlled. It is an older home, but in great condition. My only suggestion would be to have lights lining the walkway, as the porch light wasn't left on so it was VERY dark. Also, there was dog poop around the parking area and along the walkway that could have been a huge mess when parking in the dark. We will 100% be back!

This was everything we needed from an oceanfront property. Right outside our back door, the view of Haystack, the breaking waves, the sunset; Amazing!
The house is well stocked, obviously someone thought ahead about our needs, especially in the kitchen. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Oregon, this is the place us.!

We loved staying at Ocean Reach ! It was the perfect beach house, clean, lots of cozy touches, great location. The beach was quiet and felt private. Very low key vibe. Just what we needed.

This is an outstanding beach house that is thoughtfully decorated. It has a well equipped kitchen, and is supremely located to both the beach and town. We lucked into Dory Days in July. We had a front row seat from the driveway to a small town parade. (Our only parade experience that they threw cheese at the spectators) It was a very Oregon experience in all the best ways.

I visited over a long weekend with a friend and it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stellar view. We walked to local coffee shops, restaurants, and Pelican Brewing. The table in the kitchen is big enough for a 500 piece puzzle and has everything one might need in a kitchen as well. We loved watching a movie while the sun set through the big picture window. I hope to return someday!

Perfect beach house for our girls weekend. Loved the gorgeous view of the ocean, and the deck out back. Easy walk along the beach to the sand dune and restaurants. Adorable surf vibe decor and comfortable beds. Hope to come back soon!

We had a view of Haystack Rock and sand dunes from the lower bedroom. Fire wood was useful indoors and at fire pit outside. Enjoyed our stay. The only reason for four star is summer cost & fees, but I did not comparison shop or have rented a lot.

Beautiful home with amazing views! Great deck and access to the beach. The house was clean, has the kitchen amenities needed and check in/out was a breeze. Thank you again for a fabulous coast extended birthday weekend.

We’ve rented this house 5 or 6 years in a row around our grandson’s birthday. Grandma and Grandpa in the house. Family down the road in their Airstream. It has the very best view and is always very clean. There seem to always be a maintenance issue or two, but Vacasa is quite responsive. It’s cozy and well equipped. We’ll be back next August.

The house was sparkling clean, well appointed, cozy with incredible views. It had everything we needed for our stay over the 4th of July. The DVD player wasn’t working well but it didn’t matter with all of the streaming options.

Pacific City Perfection
There is a revelation you'll experience every day you stay here. Just be sure to lower the shades at night when you go to bed. The sight of the tall grass leading down to the beach from the bedroom windows as you raise the blinds in the morning is truly eye-opening and even more so when you open the shades in the living room and see something like seven sets of waves rolling in. Whether it's foggy or beautifully sunny, you'll find a comfortable place to relax and take in the setting including the iconic Haystack Rock. This is a beach house through and through but updated with tasteful nods to mid-century modernism which you'll find in the vintage furniture and in particular with the stand-alone fireplace, looking like a capsule descended from Mars and practically begging for a nightly fire. During my stay I was not especially ambitious with my cooking but the kitchen is outfitted with all the necessary accoutrements for you to put a feast in front of your friends or family. The owner has thoughtfully stocked the pantry with snacks, soups and enough tea to start a revolution. And the view from the kitchen's picture window is incredible, stretching for miles down the Oregon beach. I found myself sitting at the kitchen table, watching the constant motion of the waves, which shone milk white under the sun's reflection. My stay was in the winter time and so I didn't have the windows open but I could still hear the waves breaking as I went to sleep on the master bedroom's body-hugging mattress. There's also a bed in the loft, accessible up a spiral staircase and bunk beds for the kids in another room. Even the shower in the master bathroom has been given a glass wall that allows you to look through a window while you shower and enjoy another view of the shoreline to the south. I came from Southern California to savor this place and I'm already wishing I was back there.

Wonderful, restful visit
Vacasa was very responsive providing logs for the cozy fireplace when we noted we were running out of logs. Great views. Great location.

Wonderful views from a great location.
This cozy home has great views from just about every window in the house. Perfect for a stormy days relaxing inside or for walking from the back door right down to the beach. My husband and I had a great stay here and enjoyed the cute decor and the very well equipped kitchen. We look forward to staying here again!

Another great stay
This is the second time we've stayed and it was great again! Perfectly clean upon arrival. Very well stocked kitchen makes it easy to cook whatever you want. Amazing views of the ocean when you don't want to get off the couch or even if you don't want to get out of bed. Can't wait to go back

Perfect Location, Rustic House
Location and view would be hard to beat literally anywhere. House was comfortable enough, though putting some money back into this property to update and repair could step it up to the next level.

Unbelievable view
The highlight of this house is definitely the view; we didn't have long enough to just sit and stare! Note that getting to the beach on a trail off the deck leads you to a steep incline (sand) to slide/walk down; could be harder for some. Also large trucks drive on that beach at alarming speeds so be careful! The sunset view from the deck or upper area is wonderful. The kitchen had all we needed except a bread knife and hot sauce : ).
You can walk from this house to the shops and restaurants at the south end of town easily; the north end is maybe 1 mile max away. Beds were comfortable, shower good. Seeing the ocean from the bed was so therapeutic! The style and furnishings are MCM cool, comfortable and clean. The fireplace looked cool too but we didn't use it. One warning was the ordering food in town had a very very long wait. Definitely wish we had stayed at least one extra day!

Loved this house and Pacific City
This house has a perfect setting - on the bluff above the beach, near town but also near the State Park. The main bedroom has a spectacular view, as does the living room, kitchen, and loft. Nice kitchen, with all the utensils, pots and pans you need. Comfortable, cozy, living room, gorgeous view, and just perfect all the way around.

Annual Birthday Visit
This was our 6th year of staying at Ocean’s Reach so obviously we love it. The peace and quiet are only outdone by the magnificent view. We really could give it 4.5. Customer Service was superb when a bad plug aggravated an issue with the WiFi. Vacasa was great and also got Spectrum going so it was only 3 days before all was up and running. We look forward to next summer.

Pros: the location was amazing. The views are stunning. There were enough beds and bedrooms and they were very comfy.
CONS: We knew this was a dated home when we booked and that didn’t bother us. What bothered us was the lack of cleanliness and things that were broken. The bathroom mats were still wet when we arrived. There were used contact lenses on the nightstand. The blinds in some rooms didn’t close all the way. The dishwasher broke our first day. The outlets need to be replaced as plugs kept falling loose. There is a safety bumper missing in one spot on the spiral staircase— the exact height of my son. There were bugs throughout the house. The neighbors (who own their home) used our trash can and there was zero space for our own trash. We had to pile it inside so that the birds wouldn’t get to it.
Overall, great location but general maintenance and cleanliness needs to be improved greatly before we stay again.

Hippy surf shack on the quiet side of Pacific City
The views were spectacular from all west windows. The en-suite shower was terrific; high shower head and strong pressure. The kitchen has everything you need. The outdoor fire pit was magical. Great place!

Perfect Location, adorable house.
Easy walk to town, steps away from Bob Straub state park and Green Acres horse rides. Good value and ample room for the 2 of us. The pantry was well stocked if you plan to do any cooking.

Beautiful view and quiet for my daughter
We absolutely loved the cute little house. It had everything we needed and was so convenient for going to and from the beach. It was really windy while we were there so we spent a lot of time on the porch area that was less windy. Great afternoon sun on the porch. Set back from the road so very peaceful and quiet midday for my daughter’s naps. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Even spices if needed. We barely left the property but it would be a 5 min walk to some restaurants and only a mile to the Pelican brewery and small store for basic grocery items. I would definitely stay there again.
