We had a great family vacation! Lutsen lookout is beautiful and very comfortable for our family of 7. Our family enjoyed the many fun activities and amenities on the property. The location was perfect for access to many trails and beautiful areas to check out.

We were so very impressed with this lovely home and it's gorgeous location. The owners thought of everything. The generous sized rooms, open floor plan with huge windows overlooking the secluded wooded property, and numerous seating areas made for a truly enjoyable stay. Cribbage, cards, family & friends meals at the large dining table, well-appointed kitchen and so much more made this visit to the North Shore one of our favorites. I couldn't have asked for anything more!

Lutsen Lookout was a perfect setting for our family. The owners have put a lot of thought in to making the setting very user friendly. They were also very accessible and responded to all our questions. The property is well maintained and had plenty of room for parking. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this month, in fact on the day we arrived at the cabin. Our two adult children joined us. We wanted to stay someplace really nice, and Lutsen Lookout was the perfect place for us to have this celebration. We don’t have any immediate plans to return to the North Shore, but we would stay here again without even looking for other options. I think it would be particularly beautiful in the fall.

My family and I stayed 3 nights at Lutsen Lookout and we enjoyed every minute of it! The cabin was beautiful - even better than the pictures! It was spotlessly clean - a huge deal to me! The owners have put a lot of thought into every detail - hand soap in every bathroom, plenty of towels, fully-stocked kitchen - everything you could possibly need to comfortably relax and enjoy some quiet times in the woods!! But they went above and beyond by adding fun details like a scavenger hunt and a rock painting center for the kids and a complimentary bottle of wine from the nearby winery for the adults! Todd was very quick to respond to a couple of questions I had before and during our stay. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay in Lutsen Lookout! I would have given it 10 stars if I could have! We will definitely book again in the future!

Exceptional both inside and out! This outstanding accommodation was perfect for a large family gathering. We found everything we needed to make and eat meals, plenty of hang-out room to play games provided and enjoy conversations, and were also able to enjoy a campfire. The large screened porch was a favorite area as was the huge wrap-around deck to enjoy the view and be entertained by the hummingbirds! Overall, extremely well-managed, well-maintained, well-stocked, and WEL-coming!!

Enjoyed our stay - first time we'd done this as a family. Did some hiking along the lake both north and south of the cabin - weather was great and temps not too warm, although we never could locate the box fans. Enjoyed the firepit and watching the hummingbirds.

Wonderful stay at Lutsen Lookout for and adventurous weekend riding. Beautiful, large and comfortable for our stay before and after the race. Location was perfect, close to the race activities and Grand Marais. The view is amazing but we never really saw the lake due to cloudiness.

The Lutsen Lookout is the perfect cabin for everyone! We were impressed by all the details that Todd and Pam put into it! And for those wondering, this cabin has everything you'll need for cooking, so there is no need to bring anything extra but the food. Also, a massive plus for us was how clean the place was! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended staying at the Lutsen Lookout!

Beautiful house, great view of the lake and 5 mins to skiing. Todd was very responsive and helpful. Note you’ll likely need 4 WD to make it up the long driveway at least in winter, our 2 WD couldn’t make it

We had a wonderful time at the Lutsen Lookout. It’s probably the cleanest VRBO we have stayed in. Our kids had a wonderful time as well. The sauna was a plus after a long day on the mountain. We had the most amazing stay at Lutsen Lookout. The cabin is even more beautiful than the pictures suggest! The location was perfect for the skiers in our group, only a few minutes from Lutsen. Every room in the cabin was perfectly done. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The bedroom layout was perfect for teens and adults. We also enjoyed the sauna after a cold day of skiing. Gorgeous place to spend the weekend. We will be back!

We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO! The location was great (only a few minute drive to Lutsen ski hill, 1 mile to winery and quick drive to various hiking trails). Lutsen Lookout is a beautiful home, set on a hillside with a gorgeous view of Lake Superior!! We enjoyed the spacious feeling with high ceilings and huge fireplace at the center of the great room. The kitchen was very well supplied and the unusual center island (with tree stump base) seemed to draw us together after a day of hiking/ shopping/exploring, always in need of some food it seems. Nice attention to details with nightlights, coffee and tea etc. A GREAT getaway, very quiet and private.

I stayed with my family of 9 and our dog Willow for 3 nights at the Lutsen Lookout and it was fantastic. We got so much more than we expected. The property is gorgeous and the owners really care about giving people a great experience. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us, a scavnger hunt, fun little details around the cabin and more. It had everything we could ever want to like included toiletries, pantry supply, books, games, movies, and tips on local activities. The owner personally messaged us to make sure we got in okay and was so easy to work with. If you love nature and the north shore, I highly recommend staying here with your family. We will definetly be back!

Lutsen Lookout is a great place for a relaxing getaway. We decided to stay here not only based on the amenities but also it’s location. It’s an easy drive to Grand Marais, Silver Bay, Two Harbors, and everywhere in between. There were numerous places along Hwy 61 to explore or just hangout at the house and have a fire and s’mores, play some outdoor games, read a book, or just hangout with the family and relax. Couple other great benefits to the home are quite walks around the property as well as down the road/trails. Also the home is located near North Shore Winery and is a nice place to stop and grab a bottle of wine or a glass before coming home for the evening.

Beautiful cabin with views of Lake Superior
Our family had a great time and we really enjoyed our week long stay. Wonderful kitchen, open floor plan and large deck for hummingbird watching and sunset viewing. The cabin also has large sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The location on Lutsen Mountain is great and is just a short drive from Grand Marais. Todd was very helpful and accommodating for our needs.
FYI - The mosquitos and gnats are really bad this year so make sure to bring your bug spray!

Awesome views , chorus of birds every morning
This was a wonderful place for a work-week respite - the setting is quiet, tranquil, private, with only the birds and deer to visit (for the most part). Four of us friends found plenty of room and activity, including the Gondola on sunny days! Todd was great to work with. Heed his advice about the road and drive - dicey but able to get there with 4WD/AWD cars. Definitely a place I would return to and encourage others -- the view of Lake Superior and trees is breathtaking. It couldn't have been a more perfect getaway. Thank you!

Such a beautiful property! Loved the open floor plan, cozy fireplace and plenty of room for our large family to be but also have our own space. Property manager was so quick to respond when we had a question. Fire pit was awesome for making s’mores on a snowy day. Can’t wait to come again!
