Transportation is very reasonable for a cab or open air taxi ride or a .50 bus ride. The bus system is very simple and convenient to use. UBER is also a great way to get around. Manage your rides on your app - usually less than 1/2 the price of a taxi. There are several wonderful restaurant within walking distance on the beach. There are so many great places within Mazatlan to see. The Malacan (walk along the ocean), Stone Island, Centro Mazatlan, the Golden Zone and Old Mazatlan. Old Mazatlan has brick street, restaurants, cliff divers and great shopping.

Dec. 2007), The New York Times named Mazatlan 24th on a list of 53 best places in the world to visit in 2008. Of Mexican destinations, Mazatlan was second only to Vallarta. The article described Mazatlan as having transformed itself from 'a faded spring break haven on Mexico's Pacific Coast'.

In the many years we have been to Mazatlan, we have found we are smitten... not only with the beautiful people of Mazatlan, but the beauty and simplicity of the culture. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do!

We had a great stay! This is a very nice condo in a wonderful facility, right on the beach. The staff at Paraiso I was great. They took care of us well. The breakfasts and lunches served in the Palapa were also excellent. The facility was visited several times weekly by food vendors which reduce trips to the grocery stores (Walmart is a short 70 peso cab ride away.) I would highly recommend this property..the best in Mazatlan in my opinion!

We had a wonderful vacation and loved staying in this beautiful condo. The owners are great to work with. All of the staff were wonderful, very helpful, and we have made some great new friends. We loved having a full kitchen and cooked a couple of times while we were there. We went fishing 2 times while we were there and caught a ton of fish. We had the chef cook the 25 lb. red Snapper for us for lunch and shared it with the staff and guests and then gave all the other fish we caught to the staff. We kept very busy while we were there with Para-sailing, Zip Lining, a day at Stone Island riding ATV's on the beach, and we all got massages. The amazing staff helped up book all of our outings and we were never disappointed. We were sad when the trip came to an end. We plan to come again next year and stay longer. My husband and I have been to Mazatlan before but our friends had never been to Mexico. They loved Mazatlan as much as we do! We truly loved every minute of our vacation and are looking forward to next year! Sharon, Thank you again for sharing your home with us!

I've used VRBO for several wonderful vacations, but this was by far the most spectacular condo, view, location, and all-around experience. If you want extraordinary accommodations on a luxurious, yet tranquil beachfront, then this is the place. The owners are wonderful and the on-site managers are helpful and friendly. I will definitely give Sharon a call to stay here again if I can ever get back to Mazatlan!

My daughter and I were there 8/4/13 - 8/11/13. We were in Mazatlan for a wedding. We rented a car, however there were taxi's everywhere, and a bus that passed by the property. The condo is very high end and absolutely beautiful!! The photos reflect how the unit looks, however there's nothing like being there and seeing for yourself. The view is the best in all the properties I've visited in the world. Even the bedrooms in the back have an amazing views of the new bay area and properties nearby. The master bedroom, closet, and bath were very roomy. The master also has that incredible view of the ocean and access to the balcony, which was huge. The kitchen has all dinnerware, appliances, etc. that you need. We always had dinner on the balcony when the sun was setting. Amazing! We shopped at the Mega store and Sorianna, so we bought groceries and cooked most meals. We did go to the Bruja restaurant. I love that place, the food, location, ambience can't be beat. The rental car came in handy, as we were preparing for a wedding and had a lot of running around to do and were always back & forth to my sister's resort. I recommend taking the Pulmaria tour, which is the open air taxi. We took amazing pictures of the city, cruised the entire Malecon, and learned so much of the rich history of Mazatlan. We were able to go inside of the cathedral, which was amazing and worth the entire tour. There is a restaurant next to Senior Frogs, I think the name was Alagua, near the Malecon that had excellent service and the waiters were so funny. The breeze from the ocean was so fantastic on a HOT day, it took 5 waiters to help me light my cigarette. Finally I took the lighter myself, and they all held up their aprons to block the wind. Everyone in the restaurant was laughing. If I return to Mazatlan I will definitely stay in this unit. The only concern is the distance from town. If you want to be right in the middle of the action, Paraiso is on the outskirts, however it is a short ride to town, and it's really a pretty drive, past the bay, over the bridges, etc. You can't go wrong with this unit. Happy traveling
