This was a nice family relaxing refreshing beach vacation. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The owner, Patrick was very friendly and accommodating.

Camp Ellis is a nice neighbourhood, the location at both the Saco river and the sea adds a unique flavour to it. The apartment next to a fish restaurant was clean, well equipped and offered a great view on the river from both the terrace and the balcony.

Condo could be nice with some upgrading / maintenance. It was overwhelmingly hot with no breeze to speak of. It overlooks the back of a restaurant. Flies & mosquitos were allowed easy entrance thru magnetic screens but we couldn't close the doors to keep them out because the temp inside became unbearable. We had to give up & leave on Wednesday.

A great location just steps from the beach was topped off by having two decks to watch the boats come in and out, or just gaze at the bay. Perfect weather allows us to enjoy them both.

Great location
This is a perfect location since it’s close to the beaches on Saco Bay and the pier on Saco River. The decks had views of the bay and the river which was nice for sitting and having coffee and meals. There is a fabulous restaurant next door, especially if you love seafood. We would order, go back to the deck and wait for our number to be called. It is a smaller unit, but we were outside on the decks or sightseeing most of our visit. Fridge is small and no microwave, so just plan accordingly. No A/C, but with doors open and fans on, it stayed cool. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay on the ocean.

nice little apartment with a great view
The apartment was nice and clean and well-stocked. The only thing missing is a microwave, but there is no place to put it. Future guests should be aware that there are a lot of stairs to climb. Overall. it was a great place to get away to.

3 weeks in Camp Ellis, Saco, Maine
This property, for us, was in a perfect location to see most of the family and some of our friends. Having the beach right around the corner was an added bonus. Great views of Saco bay and river from both decks. Small, but quaint rental. Friends stayed with us for 4 nights and we worked it out with one bath and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom. No ac, but always a beautiful breeze and ceiling and room fans were fine. May have to be a little creative in storing things you bring, but it'll work out if you take a little time to figure it all out. Everything you need to cook, grill and eat with is there. I would recommend this rental on the top floor with the 2 decks if you want to stay in the Camp Ellis area.

Great little hideaway
We loved our stay here. The place was so clean. Beds and linens were fresh. Plenty of plates and utensils, pots and pans to use. Communication with the owner was fast and he was very easy to deal with. Very accommodating to our requests. Things to know about the area. Directly next door is a seafood place. You can smell it most of the day. It wasn't a huge deal for us (except onion day. They must have been prepping onions because it was overpowering). You can also hear them calling out names and order numbers over the speaker all day. The pier was nice. It did attract some louder cars at night but nothing too bothersome. The beach access is tricky. Due to beach erosion they have erected huge rock barriers that you can traverse if you are able. I wouldn't recommend it with bags or small children. Otherwise you need to walk a few blocks or drive to a better spot to gain access to the beach. Kinney Beach is super close and worth the drive! The listing says that it sleeps 6 which is partially accurate. There are 3 beds. A queen size bed and two twins. You can bring an air mattress and put that in the main living area. There are not enough beds to sleep 6 without bringing that. The decks are very nice. There are double doors off of the living room and bedroom that have screens covering them so you can leave the doors open for a breeze if you wish. They magnetically close to keep the bugs out. There were fans provided for something to help with the warmth. We had some unusually hot weather and the fans were a big help. This is a second floor until so you have to go up and down the stairs to get into the unit. It wasn't a problem for us at all but something to be mindful of if you struggle with stairs. The fridge is on the smaller side so keep that in mind when buying groceries. The cabinets are also full of plates, bowls and other kitchenware so there wasn't any place to put groceries. We just got creative. This was a great find and we had a nice escape from reality.

A nice stay!
The property was clean, well maintained, and in a quiet neighborhood (after the dinner rush hour next door). Easy walk to the beach, or to the balcony to watch the lobster boats leave and return. Location was perfect for a springboard to all the places we wanted to visit We definitely would reserve it again if we are lucky enough to come back that way. Thank you, Patrick!!

Relaxation
My husband and I stayed in unit 2 for a week. Our son and daughter in law stayed in OOB with about 25 other people in 1 house. We loved the quietness of the unit at the end of a day after spending the time with everyone else. The views are awesome and the beach is a short walking distance. The units very comfortable and Patrick is great! We hope to return once again .

THE CHARM OF SOUTHERN MAINE
What a delight it was to spend the month of September 2015 in Maine at your place [Unit #4]. The charm of Camp Ellis will never be erased from my memory and it was especially nice of you to welcome my family and friends as they "popped in" for a visit during my stay! The accommodations were perfect to include a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living room with TV and games for drizzly days, two decks with grille, unmatched ocean/river scenery, all accompanied by the sounds of the tide and squawking gulls! A 5-star rating for you, Patrick!

A Little Slice Of Heaven
This is the BEST place in Camp Ellis to stay. Patrick and Kristin (and Smoochie) are the best landlords ever. The unit is clean and updated, the two decks are amazing with views of both the river and the ocean. The location is close to everything. Can't wait for August to get back up there.

2012 HERE WE COME! (for a second year)
The unit was absolutely beachy feeling and also very quaint. It felt like you were on an island away. The hospitality of the owners was amazing. The location was perfect. The view was magnificent. So looking forward to July of 2012 so that we can return hopefully for a longer visit. we made so many new friends on the beach that we hung at everyday for 6 days and are still able to keep in touch with. That doesnt happen very often! Its says alot for the town in general. see you soon guys! 2 very happy people from Worcester,Ma

Hidden Gem!
I had the pleasure of staying here last weekend, and I must say it was the best rental unit I have been to! My family has been renting a cottage every summer in Ocean Park for the last 10 years, and this year we decided to forgo the busy Ocean Park downtown and try out this quaint Camp Ellis Cottage.
The cottage is newly done, which you can tell by the fresh paint, beautiful wood floors and new appliances. My favorite part was the private deck that has a beautiful water view. Another bonus to the cottage is that the owners were very receptive to any needs I had and I was even welcomed with fresh fruit and a bottle of champagne (can't beat that!). There is also an amazing restaurant just a block away that has fresh Maine seafood and a great bar...It was delicious and very convenient!
This cottage is just steps from the beach, quiet, comfortable, very clean and well kept. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who is traveling to the area.
Thanks for a great visit, and I will be back next summer!
Sincerely,
Happy Vacationer
