Welcome to the Timbercreek 6A, also known as “THE VIEW”. TC 6A is a recently renovated condominium, three-bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, on Bald Head Island. Many years ago, a long time Bald Head Islander told us that we had the most spectacular marsh view on the Island. We’ve now owned our place at Timbercreek for over twenty five years and have never seen a better view. From our top floor screen porch, looking west, you see the BHI Marina, Cape Fear River and Southport. Looking east, down the tidal marsh, you see the houses on East Beach that face the Atlantic. Ahead of you, looking north, is a stunning panorama …… 10,000 acres of tidal marsh, the meandering Bald Head Creek, Middle Island and other small pine islands. When we first came to Bald Head Island in 1989, we rented at Timbercreek. Sitting on the screen porch that first evening, we witnessed a beautiful full moon rising over the marsh. This is magical, we thought. The next day, we learned that Timbercreek 6A was for sale. The rest is history. It’s still magical.

Timbercreek 6A was renovated in 2010 – 2011. The new kitchen with granite counters is a thing of beauty. The two bathrooms were completely redone with granite-topped vanities and tiled showers. There are new interior doors, new lighting, new rugs, a new dining table and a new 50-inch television that fits nicely in the new custom cabinet. The following amenities are yours with a Timbercreek 6A rental:

• A large screen porch with rockers and a panoramic view
• A separate sun deck for morning coffee and sunbathing
• Three bedrooms with 1 king, 1 queen and 2 twin beds
• A loft with 2 twin beds and a second TV (great for the kids)
• All linens and bath towels are provided
• Two renovated full bathrooms with beautifully tiled showers
• A fully equipped, newly renovated kitchen
• A crib and high chair for little ones
• A 50-inch television with digital cable and wireless Internet
• A four person golf cart and six-person golf cart with a cover for cool or rainy days
• Four kayaks, four bikes, and boogie boards, beach chairs and an umbrella
• An optional temporary membership in the Bald Head Island Club and/or the Shoals Club. Each Club has an additional weekly fee for a temporary membership, which varies depending on the time of year.
• A full cleaning on departure is included in the rental price
• An on-Island manager for your convenience
• Pet friendly for an additional pet fee

Your vacation on Bald Head Island has so many possibilities. A few examples: biking, hiking, kayaking, birding, sun bathing, ocean swimming, pool swimming, shelling & beach combing, boogie boarding, body surfing, fishing, crabbing, walking the nature trails, walking the Point at low tide, turtle walks led by the BHI Conservancy. Or just put your feet up and relax.

There are no cars on Bald Head Island. You park your car at the ferry lot on the mainland and use a golf cart while on the Island. Our screen porch is one of the most peaceful places on the Island. We regularly see egrets, ibis, osprey, herons and other shore birds as well as the occasional painted bunting or dolphins in the creek. Leave your cares on the mainland and come to a magical island.

Overall great long weekend stay on Bald Head to close out the summer. The views from this unit cannot be beat! We had excellent weather and the relative quiet of bald head made for a great weekend. Unit 6A is well appointed, we had everything we needed in terms of kitchen and in house supplies so we wanted for nothing. New appliances (dishwasher and laundry) were excellent. Overall condition and cleanliness of the unit was just OK. These units are older and start to show their age. Dusty top to bottom and the carpets need a serious vacuum and clean. Supplied kayaks were a huge treat and value as rentals cost is significant. The boardwalk is damaged (not 6A fault or issue) so it’s more challenging to get the kayaks in the water, but a great perk nonetheless. We had a great time

We had seven staying at the property and it was a great vacation. The kitchen had plenty of cooking and baking utensils, and the living area had puzzles, books, and games. The loft was a great hideaway and bedroom for our 9 year old grandson. Two thumbs up!

Excellent experience! Beautiful view of the salt marsh from the screened in porch. Fully equipped with kayaks, 4 working bicycles, skim boards, 2 golf carts, sand toys, beach chairs and more! We have rented this condo 3 times and will come back again. Owner is super responsive and friendly. Best view on the island and so much to do on the marsh.

The condo was nicely furnished: plenty of seating indoors and on the porch, well stocked kitchen, bicycles, beach chairs, kayaks. Everything was in good condition and in working order. We had one minor maintenance request which was handled promptly.

This is a lovely condo, with a beautiful marsh view and convenient to most of the rest of the island. We especially loved how the layout is cozy enough to encourage family time, but roomy enough for everyone to comfortably have their own space. My only sugggestion is that the Master Bedroom mattress seemed excessively soft. We’d stay again, but might try the bed without the mattress topper, or bring a firmer one of our own. Great start to a new year.

The condo was perfect for us! Clean, comfortable, cozy. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. The view of the marsh is amazing!! We can’t wait to come back to BHI and would definitely rent this condo again.

This is our 3rd time visiting Bald Head and our 1st time at Timbercreek 6A! The views are amazing - did not disappoint! It was so relaxing sitting out on the screen porch and watching the tides... and my 2 kids play on the kayaks and fish - they caught some nice big ones off the dock! The golf carts, beach toys, and pool were also a hit! It was very clean and well stocked. The owners and property management team were very responsive and helpful - answered all my questions in a timely manner! Will definitely rent here again!!
