Cayman Brac is a sister island to the highly developed island of Grand Cayman and has managed to remain unspoiled, making it the perfect antidote to the over-programmed resort vacation. Explore the island’s many hidden treasures while relaxing in your own private retreat. Whether rock-climbing, caving, shelling, diving, fishing, snorkeling, bird watching, hiking, walking the shore line or simply relaxing is what you desire, you will have a vacation to remember. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the laid-back island pace in a thoroughly modern and comfortable house that will immediately become your home.
Listen to the never-ending rhythm of the gentle rolling waves and feel the cooling breezes as you enjoy the warm sunshine and stunning sunsets any time of the year. There is plenty of privacy and you'll enjoy the small yellow songbirds and the island's native brown booby and frigate birds that seem to enjoy the lush, tropical surroundings. The visibility in the water is incredible and the coral reefs endless. The low temperature of the water in mid winter is 78F so you can swim all year long. We call Cayman Brac 'detox from life'. The most difficult part of your vacation will be packing your sandals and leaving this absolute tropical paradise and the fine comfortable accommodations of the house.
This well maintained oceanfront beach property is located on the Caribbean and overlooks Little Cayman. It has access to some of the best diving and snorkeling in the world. Rebuilt and remodeled in the fall and winter of 2009, its 3500 square feet offers hardwood floors, all new fixtures, furnishings, and appliances as well as a full kitchen and living room with a large flat screen television, and high speed wireless internet. This unit is equipped with all the amenities one would expect from a finer home.
Stretch out twenty feet from the water on a lounger or hammock in the 360 square foot beach cabana with silver palm thatched roof.
Swimmers, snorkelers, and scuba divers can take advantage of the outside shower, fresh water rinse tank, and dive equipment-drying rack.
If you’re vacationing with friends but still want your privacy these units are perfect because you'll be close when you want and still have the privacy when you desire it.
Stores are closed on Sunday. If your arrival is after 6:30 pm on Saturday or on Sunday we'll do your grocery shopping for you - just send us a list; there is no charge for our time.
For your convenience I have also arranged a special deal with a local car rental agency. Those who will be renting a vehicle for a week will get the seventh day free. Additionally, if you pay with traveler’s checks or cash you will receive a 5% discount.
Large thatched roof beach cabana twenty feet from the water with hammocks and loungers. One raised over sized deck, one shaded patio area with picnic table, one open air lounge area just above the beach.

This property is a must for large families. Complete privacy for three families to house in the same location. The cousins had a great time playing in the pool, snorkeling, kayaking, cracking open coconuts, painting rocks, etc. The fun was endless. Wonderful property -- the pictures online do not do it justice.

Beautiful ocean front property.

We were 2 families with total of 3 kids ages 12, 13, & 14. We had a great time and really enjoyed the slower pace of Brac. The weather in the morning was lovely for jogs on the low-traffic roads. Water gorgeous, even if the ground rock/coral was a little precarious for entry/exit, nothing that some water shoes couldn't handle, and the snorkeling off the beach at the house was really lovely. There are several dive sites just off shore, though we didn't do any diving. The kayaks are right there too. The snorkeling gear was great, definitely no need to bring your own. The local markets are easy to get to, and have everything you need, though Sasha was wonderful doing some meal prep and shopping for us since we arrived late on Saturday and shops mostly close Sundays. Did I mention the coffee beans, grinder, and drip machine :-)...perfect! Henry was super easy to deal with. Thank you!

I can't say enough about our experience here. The communication from reservation to departure could not have been better. The location is perfect and the house is stocked with everything you could possibly need. All of the members of our group highly recommend this property and owner.

This will definitely be a return destination for us!
We spent a glorious week in Cayman Brac at this lovely home. We rented all three units for our family of 4 so we could have exclusive use of all the spaces and amenities. (Also great when any of us wanted some time alone.) Home owner Henry and caretaker Sasha are friendly and were always available for any questions that came up. What a relaxing, beautiful place to connect with family. The ocean behind the home is full of sea-life. (There is very little sargassam at this location so we were able to enjoy the water every day) We even saw a stingray two houses down (best place to snorkel). Highly recommend renting the snorkel equipment from owner as it's very high quality and it frees up space in your luggage. The caves on the island are spectacular. We spent two afternoons exploring the island and loved all beautiful forms of nature. The houses are so well-stocked they have EVERYTHING you could possibly require. Truly, the only thing you'll need is a bathing suit and a trip to the grocery store when you arrive. So many activities to enjoy right there at the home. Pool and sitting area are fabulous. There are also lots of outdoor spaces to read, play and gather. Our family enjoyed using the telescope (so many stars!), playing cornhole, collecting shells and watching sunsets. There are also a couple board games, card games etc to play. We all agree this is one of our favorite houses that we've stayed at. You won't be disappointed in this little piece of heaven! (Recommendation: If you're there on a Saturday night, head down the beach to the airport around 6:50 to watch the jet come in. We missed it during our time but hear it's spectacular)

Secluded Sunsets!
Great location for a group! Property has lots of space. Bikes were available for us to use which made it a fun way to explore the area. Snorkeling right out front was also amazing. Definitely would recommend.

Amazing vacation
The pictures doesn't do justice. The view is absolutely amazing. I could have stayed in the pool the whole vacation. The pool is heated with a solar cover and solar heating system that kept it comfortable. The pool deck area was our place to hang as a group. There were plenty of towels for the bathroom and beach. Arrangements were different than what I imagined from the description. The Queen/queen bedroom apartment was on the top floor with the deck with the queen bedroom below it. Through a hallway with a door was the 2 bedroom unit (Q/T and Q)that had the large living space. There was plenty of private space for our friend group of 4 couples. The weather didn't cooperate with us to use the kayaks but the bikes were used several times. The sunsets were memorable! We had Sasha cook us a meal that was wonderful! Henry provides all the info you need to enjoy the island. He was thorough with information binders in each unit. Check out the Beach Spa massage by Kelly it was well worth the money to start off vacation right!

Tranquil sunsets on Brac
Property was perfect for our group of 8, 4 adult couples! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook anything from breakfast to fresh fish tacos for supper. When we didn’t feel like cooking Sasha was the best, highly recommend having Sasha cook at least 2-3 meals for you! The pool was perfect and we spent hours of laughter and fun in it!! The island had great snorkeling when it was calm and great diving all of the time! Great hiking trails, amazing lookouts and breathtaking scenery. All the restaurants on the island were wonderful! Happy to have experienced Brac from a wonderful property to call home for 14 days! Thanks Henry and Sasha!

Fantastic Island Getaway
When searching on HomeAway for a island getaway, I thought it unusual for a property to have ALL 5 star ratings, I can definitely understand why after spending a week at Secluded Sunsets. We all found Henry and Sasha, just as everyone else has found them, they were there to answer any questions, but left us to ourselves enjoy the island. Our group rented two cars from 4 D rental and it was Henry that set all of that up and told me not to worry, that he or Sasha would be there to take us to our place from the airport. Our group of four couples all enjoyed the beautiful home with fantastic views, great kitchens, and a wonderful pool. We did ask Sasha to cook fresh caught fish for us, and without a doubt it was the best meal we had while on the island. We also went snorkeling, fishing, paddle boarding, biking (Henry has several to choose from) and caving while on the island. The week ended with Henry and Sasha setting us up with a sunset cruise on our last night in Cayman Brac. Sasha brought us wine (red and white) along with cheese, it was a gorgeous sunset and a great end to a wonderful stay.
We found the people living on Cayman Brac to be some of the friendliest we have encountered, the island is far from being a "tourist trap" but rather a relaxing getaway. Our group, from Kansas and Nebraska were fearful of missing the NFL divisional championship games, but a bar that Henry recommended, the Barracuda, did an outstanding job of making sure that we all had great seats, served us cold beer, outstanding homemade wood-fired pizza, and sat us up with a wide screen TV to enjoy both games.
We all would recommend Henry's place to anyone that enjoys being pampered. One of the best, if not the very best place that we have stayed.

Equipped with everything needed, owner great with pre planning and info. Sasha was amazing she was always there to help. Her jerk chicken and conch fritters were unbelievable.

Fabulous Week in Paradise
Henry's place on the beach is a perfect getaway for a group of friends to escape reality for a week. Sasha is an amazing cook and took great care of us. Everyone on the island was very friendly. None of us wanted to leave. Thank you for everything!!!

Bill & Joan
We spent a week at Secluded Sunsets (January, 2017) with three of our children, one of our daughters-in-law, and two of our grandchildren (ages 4 & 6). It was wonderful. The property is very nice. Everything you could possibly imagine needing is at the house. Henry and Sasha are wonderful hosts. Sasha's Jerk Chicken is delicious. We were so happy to have Sasha help us celebrate our granddaughter's birthday too! We enjoyed every recommendation from Henry and Sasha, including "Taco Tuesday" at Captain's Table and pizza at the Barracuda Bar. We hiked, explored the caves, walked to the park, rode bikes a little, and enjoyed the pool and beach. We had a beautiful sunset cruise with Henry, Sasha, and the Brac Scuba Shak crew. The weather was not ideal for scuba diving, as the winds were very high. We had to miss most of our scheduled dives, but the 3 that we had were very good. Brac Scuba Shak and their staff were friendly, knowledge, safe, and ran a great dive operation. We would highly recommend them as well. We would love to visit again!

Chicken island getaway
We have made secluded sunsets our home away from home two years in a row now. Henry, Sasha and Perry always make sure it's always a pleasurable visit. We can look forward to clean and comfortable accommodations with a spectacular view, a pool and other amenities while we're enjoying some of the best scuba diving on the globe. Highly recommend!!

Couldn't ask for more!
As we prepare to leave the Brac tomorrow, it will be with wonderful memories of both the Brac AND Secluded Sunsets. We could not have asked for a more perfect arrangement! Sasha met us at the airport, along with the rental car she and Henry helped to arrange, and it was perfect from there on out! We had 3 days of diving with Brac Scuba Shack (which we also endorse highly), 3 days of snorkeling, 1 day of caving and bluff exploration and several days of watching amazing sunsets from the seclusion of the west end of the island.
The best review I can give is this -- Everything you read about Secluded Sunsets, Henry & Sasha is absolutely accurate. There are no unfortunate surprises. The property and all its amenities and service options are legitimate, and we accessed every one. The pool, cabana, kayaks, hammocks, grill, smoker, movies, w/d, Sasha's amazing cooking & bartending skills, and special relationships with local providers of other services. The houses are clean & neat, well-equipped with everything from linens and laundry detergent to books, games and movies. There is a reasonable supply of seasonings and staples in the kitchen and enough utensils to prepare full meals and frozen drinks. Secluded Sunsets is as perfect as it seems, and you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful Vacation
We had a wonderful time. The accommodations were great. Henry, Perry and Sasha were very helpful with suggesting places to snorkel and what sites to see. It was one of the most relaxing vacations I've had.

Great Vacation!!
Our family of 8 adults and two infants (9 & 10 months) had a wonderful week at Secluded Sunsets! The house and apartments were so well furnished and so clean we all had everything we needed and many things we didn't have time to use! The pool was wonderful; some part was shaded much of the day with large sails stretched above. The cabana and hammocks were a favorite place for napping. Henry could not have provided more information about what to bring and what to do before we traveled. Sasha met us in the dark at the airport, and went with us to the grocery store while the guys rented the vehicles. Four D was so accommodating; checking in & out was very easy. Sasha and Perry cooked and entertained us at our own private beach party; it was great fun and must be repeated!! This family of divers are already planning what sites they will plan to dive next time. We will certainly want to return to Secluded Sunsets!!

Perfection Can Be Found!
I usually don’t write too many reviews, but when it comes to our stay at Secluded Sunsets on Cayman Brac, everyone should know how amazing this place is and come to visit.
Personally, you never know what to believe sometimes with reviews on the internet. Are they true? Are the photos real, have they been enhanced? Well, with Secluded Sunsets it is all TRUE!!!!
The owner Henry and the property manager Sasha go above and beyond any other place I have ever stayed in my life. They make things easy, plain and simple. One of the best things that we experienced, was when Sasha came over and cooked dinner for us one night at the house. An amazing local dinner with some of the best fish I have ever had! Really hard to beat!
What I loved was being able to wake up, look out my door, and see the beauty of the yard, beach, and water. They have everything you need from scuba to snorkel, so I would just grab some gear and go dive right out in the front of the house. The reef is SOO amazing and alive that my wife would have to pry me out of the ocean every day. The even better thing is that I would jump out of the ocean and right into the beachside pool at the house. How could it be any better than that?
All in all, Secluded Sunsets really is everything that you read about online – perfection. Henry and Sasha are amazing people and if you are looking for an amazing vacation, then your search is over. Secluded Sunsets on Cayman Brac is your answer!!!

A Great Place for Fun in the Sun
Just returned from a great week at Secluded Sunsets. The house and property exceeded the description and photos posted above. While there's not much to do on Cayman Brac, Henry gives you everything you need to do it. Bikes, snorkel gear, a well-stocked kitchen and a grand location with a gorgeous pool. The place is immaculate and you can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in his home. Rent a car because you'll need it to get to the market, local restaurants and the public sandy beach. Don't miss the bakery at the end of the island next to the police station. The cinnamon rolls are amazing. Also had a nice Carribbean dinner at Star Island. If you're looking for a place to hang out with family or friends, Henry's house can't be beat. We brought four adult children with us and there wasn't a minute of the day we weren't having fun with them.

Perfect Wedding Location
We chose Cayman Brac for our vacation/destination wedding and Secluded Sunsets was the perfect location for both. We rented all three units for eight of us and it was just perfect. I won’t bother repeating the same praises offered by all the other reviews, except to confirm that it’s all true (follow all the advice given by Henry and you can’t go wrong. He really does make sure everything is taken care of for you).
In addition to what’s already been said in other reviews, we were able to take advantage of the new services provided at Secluded Sunsets of the “Property Caretaker”, Sasha. Our flight was scheduled to arrive in the late afternoon on a Saturday. Knowing we wouldn’t be up to cooking and the stores would be closed on Sunday, we arranged to have Sasha do our shopping prior to our arrival and she prepared a multi-course dinner along with pool-side drinks for us our first night there.
Throughout our stay Sasha provided a variety of homemade delights, such as key lime pie, coconut bread, banana cake, and tortillas – everything was delicious! For our wedding Sasha served up a variety of drinks such as pina coladas, daiquiris, and margaritas, and did all the cleaning after the party was over. It was truly a life saver to have her there to take care of all the details – she even found someone at the last minute to do my hair for the wedding. Her services cannot be beat – don’t miss out on this!
I also have to say that the entertainment provided by Perry and crew (cooking musicians) was excellent. He is extremely talented and provided such a great time the night of our wedding. We enjoyed it so much we went to see him perform a few nights later at Barracudas and had so much fun! I highly recommend you take advantage of the opportunity to be entertained by him – you’ll be in for a great time!
Many thanks to Henry, Sasha, and Perry for making our vacation and our wedding such a special and memorable event.

A taste of heaven!
We rented Secluded Sunsets for three weeks. We had the opportunity to experience all three villas, all of which were perfect- pictures don't do it justice! We loved the small island of Cayman Brac...it is such a quaint and unique island. Out of all the places we have visited, the Brac is the best! Henry was amazing! Always there when we needed him and available for advice and assistance. In fact, my mother in law is in a wheelchair and he provided a ramp for her for the main house. The pool in the back is perfect for a day in the sun or shade. The snorkeling in the backyard is phenomenal- I felt like I was dropped in an aquarium. We brought plenty of snacks and my folks brought meat with them to BBQ. We highly recommend it! Bbqing in the Caribbean is awesome! We had a great night with Perry and the cooking musicians! Don't forget to go caving-untouched beauty! Looking forward to returning. Not only because of the amazing accommodations, but also to visit our friends in the Brac.

NOT too good to be true! Best vacation ever!!!
After reading all the rave reviews about Henry’s accommodations and hospitality, quite frankly, it seemed too good to be true.
Believe me, it is all true!!!
We had been traveling the last twelve hours enduring a day long barrage of infiltration of our personal belongings, space and psyche.
Finally we are here; our luggage is here (after being loaded on the wrong plane), we have made it. However, our phones don’t work, we are exhausted, not happy, and quite frankly, had had enough. We walked out to the parking lot and looked at each other with that all too familiar, quizzical look on our faces, knowing we are processing the same exact thoughts at the same moment. Now what do we do!?!?!
Low and behold, here comes a friendly face giving us a warm welcome. Henry!!! He has a rental car and an agent waiting for us in the parking lot. We buy a temporary driving license, load up our rental car and we are on our way to Secluded Sunsets.
While Henry gives us the low down on the rental unit, I mention to him in passing that we have brought whole coffee beans, and ask him if he has a grinder. He indicates that there might be a grinder in one of the other units. He disappears after introducing us to all the toys, games, DVD’s, movies, fishing and snorkeling gear that are available to his guests.
Within the hour he hands us a brand new coffee bean grinder that he just purchased at a local market. Now I’m totally impressed!!!
Henry was an incredible host and his property was even more than we’d ever imagined. Our stay on Cayman Brac exceeded all of our expectations and we’ll definitely be back!!

Canucks in Paradise - Part II
Per my previous comment, I returned to Cayman Brac to get my sons certified based on the excellent, personalized service we received back in Oct from both Henry and the folks at the Brac Scuba Shack. Once again, everything was flawless & my kids were certified throughly and safely. Accommodations and amentities deserve the 5/5 ratings
It would be hard to find a better place to base your dive or kick back, do nothing vacation out of than the Secluded Sunset.
Highly recommend
Cheers

Best Vacation Rental on Cayman Brac
My family and friends (9 adults) stayed at Secluded Sunsets for 2 weeks (12/29 – 01/12). We had the entire house, all 3 apartments. It’s actually hard to say enough good things about Henry and his guest house. The location is fantastic. It sits right on the ocean in a very quiet upscale oceanfront neighborhood. The house has MORE than everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Lots of towels, clean linens, kitchens have cookware, utensils, dishware, etc. Lots of small appliances – our apartment even had a crockpot. The refrigerators with the door ice/water are fantastic. No concerns about safe drinking water!
You’ll find many items left by previous guests and supplied by Henry. (Nice especially if you’ve forgotten something.) Lots of spices, cooking oil, and some dry goods. Toilet paper, plastic bags/wrap, foil, shampoo, sunscreen, etc.
The 2 bedroom apartment is huge and the 1 bedroom apartments are large with plenty of space. The upstairs 1 bedroom is an open area design with a huge deck and big double doors and lots of windows. The downstairs 1 bedroom is large with separate living, kitchen/dining and bedroom with ensuite bath. All the apartments have front and rear/side exits. Super clean, very well maintained and nicely furnished.
The pool and yard area are fantastic. We used the pool as much as we did the house. It’s a great gathering area and the fresh water pool is a life saver after a long day of activities. Turn all the lights off at night while sitting around the pool. You won’t believe the stars. Awesome! We actually used the stone smoker and smoked a tuna we caught. It was excellent.
The ocean front palapa with the hammocks was another favorite spot. Just swinging and listening to the waves and watching the sunsets. I know why the house is called Secluded Sunsets. The view of the sun setting every night is awesome.
We followed all of Henry’s recommendations and we’re glad we did. We brought coolers with meat and on the flight in purchased duty free alcohol. Henry was also great at helping us with excursions and information. He really knows the island.
Henry was a fantastic host and a lot of fun.
Much thanks Henry for the absolute best accommodations on Cayman Brac.

Just returned from a 2 week stay on the Brac and the bottom line is that this is an excellent property operated by a great owner and you will not be disappointed.
As two couples (2 Divers & 2 Non-Divers) we rented the two bedroom unit and were wowed by the location, the accommodations, the amenities and the first class service provided by Henry. Absolutely everything you need to have a great vacation is either provided or arranged for you – with the odd special extra thrown in for good measure :o)
I arrived by myself for the first week and even though my flight was a few hours late, I was still greeted at the airport and provided a rental car right there in the parking lot. Then it was a quick, escorted run to the local grocery store to ensure I had food for Sunday since nothing opens until at least noon on that day. This kind of service never ended.
As for the property – FIRST CLASS, inside and out. You are right on a secluded beach with excellent snorkeling and sunsets. The new pool is a welcome addition. Though we ate out a few times, you can’t beat the cooking and grilling facilities on the property. Everything you need to either make simple meals or feasts is provided. There are 3 grocery stores on the Island and you can buy whatever you need. Henry can coach you on how to get fresh fish from the locals (including fair price) if you so choose.
As for the Diving or any other special extras, just follow Henry’s recommendations. You will not be disappointed. We went with a new Dive company operated by a fabulous South African couple and received personalized service that you will not get with larger operators.
All in all, we had such a great time; I will now be coming back in Feb to get my sons certified.
In closing, take time to read the other reviews. There are no exaggerations. If you want world class diving or just time to unwind and relax, then this is the place for you.

I cannot say enough good things about Henry and his beautiful property arrangement. My family and I rented all 3 of the apartments and we were blown away. The properties themselves are spectacularly gorgeous, not to mention the breath-taking ocean views included! Everything about our stay was OUTSTANDING! Henry was super easy-going, always available if you needed anything, and went above and beyond to take care of us. He took care of the rental car, met us at the airport with it, drove us back to the house, and provided a pizza dinner for us! He even took the time to stock our fridge with a few necessities from his OWN home since we arrived on Sunday evening and he was concerned because none of the stores were open! In addition, we found out Reef Divers was booked for boat dives during the majority of our stay and we were so sad but then Henry took us out to get outfitted for shore dives and even took us out on his own! My own family doesn't even host me this well! He went to every extreme to make sure we were having the best vacation there. He gave us all the info we needed beforehand (it is clear that he has put a lot of time and thought into everything for his guests) and there was a written copy of all the info in a binder at the house as well. The listing and photos are accurate to a point because on top of everything you get SO many more good things when you stay here. There are sooooooo many extras I can't even list them all! Snorkel gear, guidebooks, painting supplies, fully equipped kitchens, sports gear, 500+ DVD's, pool floats, grill, toiletries, binoculars, hammocks, bikes,...I could go on all day! The property was impeccably maintained; clean, well-stocked, well-groomed. You want for nothing when you stay with Henry! We enjoyed our time on Brac so much that we're already planning our return trip :) And of course, there is hands down nowhere else we would rather stay. THANKS HENRY!

We were met at the airport by the owner, nothing was too much trouble, What a dream to have your own bit of paradise for two weeks, on the beach. what a wonderful 2 weeks we had, upgraded to the two bedroom, there were so many extras provided. Hubby was able to snorkel off the beach and did a lot of diving. I was happy to sit with a book and a beverage or two. We went site seeing around the island which is like stepping back in time. Everyone is so friendly, If you are looking for a relaxing holiday/vacation then look no further, we could not suggest anywhere nicer. Thankyou Henry

Don't know where to start...every detail was looked after. Henry and his staff know how to make sure you and your fellow guests are looked after. Our two week stay was super - the guest homes were safe, modern, large, clean, maintained, fully appointed, air conditioned and comfortable. We rented the entire complex and our group of ten were very pleased. We had lots of room to spread out indoors and the outdoor ocean view seating area was excellent and well used. Loved the hammocks! Early morning coffee to watch the sunrise and early evening sunsets with a cocktail - what could be better. All very relaxing and yours to absorb.
We did a lot of SHORE SCUBA DIVING in the area and enjoyed the local reefs, the fish and all the barrel sponges. A local diving instructor & store owner (super nice big man from South Africa) was first class in teaching the open water training required to complete certification for a couple of students in our group, and was very helpful in pointing out nearby locations to scuba dive. Shore diving is accessible and relatively easy. Driving a car, to get to the dive sites or other points of interest on the island is so easy; hardly any traffic with lots of signs to keep you going where you wish to go.
Our teenagers enjoyed the use of the house kayaks and the adults enjoyed the views from the upper deck. We had no lack of things to do on this island, including a trip to the Skull cave, and did I mention, the weather was perfect.
Lots of local stores for buying groceries, local fish is sometimes available at the dock and a good selection of beer, wine, etc can be found in the nearby store. We checked out a few of the local restaurants and local jerk chicken vendors, but always enjoyed preparing our own meals in the large kitchen back at Henry's place, as well as using the outdoor bar-be-que on the beach side of the house.
One more thing, the "singing chefs" were extremely friendly and loads of fun to be sure. We had a fantastic evening of good food (best jerk chicken ever), lively conversation great music & singing too. A very good time with memories forever. "Henry can set this up and it is an excellent extra feature".
So if you are wondering if this is a good choice, my answer is simple...yes. You will not be disappointed and we do recommend this property. Come to the Brac and enjoy yourself - we did.

This was our first trip to Cayman Brac. We rented the 1 bedroom top floor unit. The unit was nice, clean, modern, and well stocked - great deck and great view - we really couldn't have asked for anything more. There is a grill, smoker, laundry, kayaks, bikes and many other amenities available to guests - the big fresh water tub outside was great for rinsing the dive gear. We came to Cayman Brac to dive. This property is convenient to many dive sites with several accessible directly from the property. There is a sand beach area on the property, but like the entire island, once you are in the water it's "iron shore" and you'll need booties. The north side location means the water is normally very calm, making entry easy. If you are going to shore dive or hike and explore you'll want a rental car, which the owner arranged for us. We were met at the airport, given our rental car and personally guided to the property.
We plan on returning to Cayman Brac and plan on staying here again on our next visit. While we rented just one of the 1 bedroom units, the property would be great for a family vacation too if you rented all of the units. Note: stores are not open on Sunday, so if you arrive on Saturday, make sure you get to the grocery store because you'll be out of luck on Sunday.

My husband and I just returned from an amazing week on Cayman Brac. We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property! It looks exactly (and even better in some cases) like the pictures, was very clean, tidy and has so many amenities! There were very nice reef shoes, snorkel gear, life jackets, kyaks, coolers for the beach, hammocks...and so much more. The owner greeted us at the airport and took time to show us around the property which was much appreciated. You can't ask for a better location! We highly recommend staying here, as you will not be disappointed. If we ever return to the Brac this would be our first choice for lodging. Can't say enough about how fantastic this place is!

We just returned from one week away and it was fantastic. I mean, really fantastic. The pictures and description in the listing are perfect and exactly what you get. The owner was was very accommodating and friendly but not over the top like other places I've stayed. Brac is such a great island and the rental unit sits on one of the best locations on the island. Snorkeling right off the beach is some of the best around the coast, and being on the west end you get great sunsets day after day. I could go on about how much I loved the island, but that would stray from the rental review. So in closing, if you are contemplating going our experience was 100% satisfied. We took the week at our own pace and didn't ever feel rushed or pressured to be doing things each day, and the house had everything we needed for our stay. Don't hesitate, this place is really all it seems to be and more.

My wife and I have just returned from a great 2 week stay in Brac. Our first week was shared with two couples that we'd never met. We all took Henry's advice to heart and got along amazingly. We did a lot of the standard tourist things such as cave exploring, hiking, scuba diving, etc. The layout of the house allows you to spend time with others or be alone, whatever you may need. Don't worry about meeting someone you don't like. In the unlikely event it happens, you can get away. This first week was a great, low-key, relaxing weekend.
When our new friends left, we looked at each other and said, "what are we going to do now?". The first two days, we did some more scuba diving and spent time alone at Secluded Sunsets. Then we began to immerse ourselves with people who live and work on the island. We met new friends from England, Ireland, Honduras, Mexico and of course the USA! What a great group of people and we left with a true connection to the island and the people there.
My one piece of advice to you when you book this trip: heed ALL of Henry's advice. I wish we'd done that. Henry will tell you how to bring food in to reduce your costs. With the great setup of cooking at the house, you must prepare to eat in a few nights while you're there. Cook on the grill or cooker and enjoy new friends, or renew old friendships. Our first week, we all ate in the 2 bedroom unit with our new friends 5 of the 6 nights. The second suggestion Henry has is limit your clothing. The next time we go, even if for two weeks, we'll take 2-3 bathing suits, 2-3 shorts, 2-3 nice shirts, and if you exercise, 2-3 outfits. With a washer and dryer and the fact you'll be in a bathing suit 75% of the time, don't take too much. You simply won't need it.
My suggestion is that unless you want to stay at the house your entire visit (which is possible), I would suggest renting a car. We had one the first week but not the second so we had to rely on our new friends to get us. Fortunately they didn't mind at all!
As for Henry, I have stayed in 15-20 places through VRBO over the years. Without a doubt, Henry's attention to detail and hospitality are second to none. Our next visit will be determined by availability at his place. He sets the bar high for guest experience and I don't foresee him being outdone.
My one word of caution is this: Don't go and expect to want to leave or return in the near future. We have a rule to never vacation in the same place. We're breaking our rule!

This is a fantastic place to go for a vacation!!!
We have been three times in the last year and each time it gets better.
I can not say enough postive things about the property and the owner.
We have enjoyed this property and the island so much that as of last week, we became new condo owners. Henry keeps the property immaculate and provides you with almost everything you need to feel like your at your own home. The views are breath taking and the diving is sensational.
The peaceful, relaxed feeling you get from the island and property is amazing. The pictures on the web site are very accurate to the property. I highly recommend going for a long snorkeling or diving or fishing trip. You never know what you will see from all the different fish to a sting ray or turtle. Each dive is a new adventure!!! The restaurants are very easy to get to and the food is wonderful, make sure to stay for the local bands always a good party. The markets are located very close to the property which makes it very easy to do your shopping.
I look forward to making Henry our new island neighbors see you soon.

We had a party of ten and the very nicely appointed house(s) were a perfect fit, adults in the 2 downstairs units and the kids had their own place upstairs. Beautiful surroundings quiet and peaceful. You could sit at the waters edge for hours. With the amount of "toys" available you could snorkle right out front, nice reefs are right there! Take out one of the kayak's or hop on a bike and head around the island exploring. Completely laid back. We arranged two days of diving over at Reef Divers, across the island, really fantastic, nice experienced folks and a world class spot for it. Another highlight was having the "Cooking Musicians" over one night. They made great jerk chicken and music out in the yard, we even invited some friendly locals by for our party, danced the night away. All in all it was one of the best vacations we've had and we will be back!!!!

Our recent holiday in The Brac was an amazing experience. We had a wonderful time, so relaxing on such a beautiful peaceful island in the sun. Henry's attention to his guests and the effort put into making the accommodation comfortable and the setting beautiful can not be faulted. We really appreciated the use of equipment – including the UK adaptor, bootees, DVD’s, snorkels and fins all of which we made frequent use of.
We can’t wait to go back to the Brac and would not hesitate to book our accommodation with Henry again. Highly recommended both as an Island to holiday in and a beautiful place to stay.
