We stayed June 8th-15th and had 10 people total with us ranging from 16 to late 60's. The home was beautiful and everything we expected. The home was clean, the pool was beautiful and having the private beach was a game changer. I have read many reviews regarding rough waters but we must have just gotten lucky because we went swimming, kayaking and snorkeling every single day while staying at the house. We sat outside every morning drinking coffee and watching cruise ships head towards Mahogany Bay and in the evenings we saw them departing. It was really neat!
As for recommendations. PAY FOR EDIER!!!! He was hands down one of our most favorite things of the trip. He made sure we were safe and took us to places were he knew we would enjoy our week. Mayan Jungle tours, the Mangrove tour which is definitely recommended!! Lastly, Little French Key which is breathtaking! He is worth every penny and just know, renting a car just seemed dangerous since the way people drive there is fairly terrifying!
We did have Edier's wife cook for us 2 nights and it was SPECTAULAR!!!!
I highly recommend this home for you and your families vacation. It really was a trip of a lifetime. We were celebrating my daugther and her best friends High School graduation and I know they will remember this trip forever!

My wife and I along with our 15 year old son and 13 year old daughter stayed for 8 days.
The location is perfect due to how close you are to both west end and west bay but yet you are not stuck down town. While the ocean water was very warm the pool was a must for teenagers. The views were stunning. Watching some of the biggest cruise ships in the world go by was pretty cool. We went fishing with Aaron the owner of Sundowners in west end. Highly recommend if you want the experience. We also chose to rent a car instead of using the van service. We like to be spontaneous and explore and felt it was more convenient. We took a 45 min or so drive up to punta gorda. This is also highly recommended as the people in the town were very welcoming, plus you get to see alot of the island along the way. Look up Cain Alvarez "Bingo" on facebook and message him. He lives there and he can guide you in whatever you would like to explore or just hang out and chat about the history of the island. His Aunt made us the famous macuca of Roatan. We did use Mirna for one dinner and it was good. However it was a little confusing as you cant ask her direct and you have to go through the host. This made it less convenient. We didnt want to have to schedule a dinner 2 days in advance. Lisa was very helpful as well. The only draw back was the wind. We were only able to snorkel at the private beach 1 time and every night it was so windy, that I never got the chance to enjoy a Honduran ccigar.

Accommodation set up great for larger groups
Host responsive
Driver very accommodating but need to use translator to communicate if you can’t speak Spanish
Their onsite meal prep person prepared an excellent Honduran meal for us
Beautiful cove area that we were able to snorkel from one day-the other days were too windy making it unsafe
Probably have a quick check of the place before new guests arrive-there we’re used towels left in one of the showers and maybe spray or set up some traps for the unwelcome guests.

We had a great time at L'Alize over Spring Break! Communication with Rosanne was excellent leading up to our trip, Lisa was there to meet us upon arrival, and was readily accessible throughout our time there. Edier was a fantastic driver for the week, always quick to respond, always smiling, and always right on time to take us wherever we needed to go. Highly recommend having Mirna prepare a meal, we had two and both were absolutely delicious! And of course a special shout out to Gabriella who is absolutely adorable and a great helper while looking for sea glass on the beach. The house itself is very spacious, with plenty of room for all 6 of us to spread out and relax and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook several meals. The kids loved the pool of course and we adults enjoyed hanging by the pool or out on the deck every evening. Just a few things to be mindful of; it was very windy most of the time we were there and we were not able to get in the water on the private beach due to the waves. A lot of trash can wash up on the beach as well but Edier was happy to help clean it up whenever we wanted to spend some time there. Finally, it was of course really, really hot and there are air conditioners in the bedrooms which work really well. Electricity is very expensive though so just remember to turn them off during the day and if you do leave the doors open, remember it's the jungle so a few bugs may sneak in.

We enjoyed our stay at L'alize very much. The rooms are very spread out, giving everyone privacy. There are a lot of stairs but this layout gives each floor access to views and breezes. Eddie was our gracious driver and took us on several excursions and trips back and forth into town. This enabled us to customize our trip to our needs and limited the need for private guides. We enjoyed the keyhole beach and were able to snorkel there on calm days, great reef right at home!
4.9
All the people associated with property were great. The property itself is a little over advertised. The only real disappointment was the “private beach”. It is not private, and is littered with trash including we found an old rusty hypodermic needle?! I understand it is the nature of high winds that blow trash from the main land, still seems like an easy cleanup to keep it nice for visitors?
It’s proximity to west bay and west end make for an awesome location.
Highly recommend The Boat bar restaurant and even though they are ways to travel Tiki Adventure on the east side, as well as Brady’s Kay are a must!!

We had a beautiful stay at L’Alize! The views are breathtaking! We saw lots of wildlife. We snorkeled as a family right from the keyhole and had a wonderful time. Location is great, very close to West End and West Bay. We hired Eddie as our driver and he was always available and provided us with excellent suggestions. We toured the mangroves with Eddie as well and it was a great day. Mirna cooked for us, brunches as requested, and her food was great. It was a bonus to have her clean for us two days, everything was neat and refreshed. We absolutely loved our stay and would stay again.

The home was lovely, the views spectacular, and we had more than enough room for all 8 of us. Thank you to Rosanne and her group for making our stay fantastic. ❤️

It was a good experience

The house was great with plenty of room for our family of 8. The views are breathtaking. It had most everything we needed (bring your own shampoo/soap or get some at the store on the way to the house). The reef just beyond the keyhole beach is amazing for snorkeling (bring your own gear and water shoes). Van had room for all 8 of us with luggage. Glad we hired Eddie to drive, communicating with him was a breeze on WhatsApp and he was very punctual. Diving with Bananarama was excellent and convenient (West Bay is just a 5 min drive). Mirna's cooking was excellent (better than the local restaurants). Roseanne was very helpful in arranging the booking and answering any questions we had prior to our trip. I highly recommend this place and hope to return someday!
4.9
The location of the property was amazing! It was close to everything! There was a shared beach with a couple of other properties where you could see the cruise lines pass through, the views also breath taking! There was a small amount of trash on the beach but nothing major. We enjoyed our stay and had the most relaxing time. I highly recommend getting a driver and having him take you around town, the drivers are bit reckless there.
4.9
We had a wonderful stay here. The view from the back deck was stunning and a great place to have coffee in the morning with our friends. Everyday we saw macaws flying by the house. It was a great mix of jungle and sea right close to town. Mirna cooked for us and did an excellent job. Having Edier take us around the island to various places made things much easier for transportation. We plan on coming back next for another adventure.
4.9
The house was beautiful, well appointed and clean. It was great having a bath with every bedroom. The main/master bedroom was absolutely beautiful. There were some minor up-keep issues, missing screens on doors, discolored and ripped outdoor furniture cushions, broken ice maker, dishwasher that kind of tips out of the wall....little things, toilets that would occasionally not flush, but all in all we were comfortable and pleased. There are some inaccurate details and photos in the property information section. One thing we were very excited about was venturing to Pirates Cove. It apparently is now private and we were not allowed to go there. Also, the beach/water area was very hard to maneuver around due to it being very rocky. We were only able to enter the water once during our stay due to very high wave conditions due to wind....(The weather's fault, not the property owners!) The photo of the house makes it look like there is nothing around it, but there is a new house right next door. Also it is listed as 5 bedroom, 7 bath, but one of the bedrooms and bath is in another building. Edier and Mirna were amazing!!! They really made the stay! Lisa, property manager, was also helpful and responsive.

We had a group of 4 couples that stayed for a week. The house was set up perfectly for us with plenty of room. Eddie and Mirna were friendly, accommodating, and on time whenever we needed them. Eddie showed us the island and Mirna cooking was fantastic. We highly recommend this house and amenities. Hope to be back.

This home was exactly as pictured and reviewed by previous guests, and the location was very convenient. Not too far from the airport, and close to both West Bay and West End. Definitely recommend booking the van & Edier for transportation, and Mirna for at least a few meals. Our group of 6 (3 couples) found Mirna's cooking to be as good or better than the restaurants we ate at, and the quantity was more than ample. The home is relaxed, comfortable and has all the amenities you need for a week by the ocean. The views from the second and third floor balconies were wonderful - we recommend watching the sunrise over the keyhole and stargazing from the third-floor balcony. The private keyhole beach was great for kayaking & snorkeling or relaxing with a book while listening to the ocean. Communication with both the host and the property manager was excellent - they anticipated our needs and exceeded our expectations.
We're so glad we chose L'Alize for our week in Roatan!

Our party of 10 had a great Christmas and New Years' holiday at L'Alize. A great experience was had by all, from the moment we reached out to confirm availability to Edier dropping us off at the airport to catch our flight home. Views from the house are spectacular and almost too good to be true. House is as described in the property listings with plenty of space to dine, lounge and sleep. Lisa, Eddie and Mirna were tremendous, when we needed something or had an issue, it was resolved very quickly. We had to change our dates due to airline issues several times and Rosanne was so flexible and wonderful. I would highly recommend L'Alize if you want to be near West Bay beach but not ON West Bay beach. Thanks for so many great memories in one of our favorite places on Earth!

Was a tremendous vacation. A couple of hiccups that were taken care of immediately on notifying management. A great experience for all. Food was delicious we had prepared for us. Beautiful property in a great location. Car suggested to explore island. We had a blast touring and exploring.
Will be back.

My husband and I and 3 adult children and spouses (8 total) really enjoyed L'alize for a week. The owner, Roseanne, is attentive as is her manager, Lisa to everything L'alize. Edier and Mirna are wonderful local on site staff; so eager to please with driving, giving directions, cooking, cleaning, and probably anything else you'd want. Edier understands some English; Mirna and their precious 5 year old daughter, Gabriella, are super friendly and smile a lot! We used google translate for most communications. Edier was our driver for the week; definitely recommend him as we'd never have been able to navigate on our own on the island. Don't plan to walk anywhere; it's an island jungle with lots of curves and steep hills. Mirna cooked 3 beautiful meals, 2 of which she served on the outdoor patio/kitchen. They were delicious traditionally Honduran meals we were hoping for.
The property is clean, kept up, well equipped, and as pictured. There are numerous steps that lead to the rooms, pool and keyhole--- make sure you can climb steps well before booking. The keyhole is pretty easy to get to and quite beautiful, but beware of the rocky slippery bottom and strong currents. Edier set chairs out to enjoy the views. AC worked well, we only used them at night and left the doors open during the day-the breeze was wonderful! Any issues, call Lisa and she'll tend to it!
Proximity is great for beautiful West Bay Beaches/Resorts and West End shops, restaurants and bars, given Edier brings you. The water is amazing here! We took a diving lesson with West Bay Divers @ Grand Roatan Resort, did the glass bottom boat tour @ West Bay Beach, snorkeled & Lion fished @ Turquoise Bay, zip lined @ Gumbalimba, visited with monkeys, sloths, and birds @ Daniel Johnson's, did the dolphin encounter @ Anthony's Key, and visited the wonderful Roatan Island Brewery in Palmetto Bay and a cute little java shop, Bad Ass Java, and the Chocolate Factory tour in West End. Water taxis took us from West Bay to West End a few times. We had nice meals at Annie's Boarwalk Cafe on West Bay Beach, Luna Muna @ Imbagari, the Argentenian Grill, Azul @ Blue Roatan Resort. Bananarama and Paradise resorts have pizza and bars on the beach and let you sit in their chairs free if ordering. Needless to say, we were ordering... ;-)). Most places are very hospitable with friendly staff eager to please. Locals sell wares on the beach, but weren't bothersome.

We truly enjoyed our stay. We had lots of changes and questions for Roseanne and she kindly answered them all. Edier and Mirna were amazing!

Roatan Wedding
What an amazing and beautiful place. My family and I came for a wedding, stayed at L'alize and were impressed with the property and surroundings. Eddie, our driver such a nice and punctual person, 10 minutes for pick up, he was not kidding. Mirna his wife cooked the most delicious breakfasts . Both always on time. Great place to stay with family. The private beach was a nice and relaxing place to be. If you want a nice quiet place away from the husstle and bustle with beautiful views, this is the place for you. And if you want to go and see the town, Eddie will drive you anywhere you want. My family and I had an amazing time. We will certainly be back.

Awesome week!
We just spent a week at this property and had an awesome time. There were a total of 5 couples 2 of them were celebrating their honeymoon. We were greeted at the airport by Eddie the driver who doesn't speak alot of English but enough to get by. He was great about taking us wherever we wanted to go and always on time when it came to picking us up. His wife is the cook, we used her 4 of the 6 nights. Her Fried Chicken was excellent! We are all from Texas so we know a little about Fried Chicken. She went to the store and prepped every meal with fresh items. You won't regret having her cook for you.
The home is Very Nice, be prepared to climb stairs though! There are ALOT of stairs, front and back. Going into the main house all of the doors were open and the ocean breeze felt amazing. There are two bedrooms upstairs one of them is the master with an amazing ocean view. The other two bedrooms are pool level. Every room has a AC unit in it but be warned that Electric is expensive. We generally only used them at night while sleeping. The two downstairs showers took a bit to get hot water, had to let them run for a while. The refrigerator in the main kitchen did not keep things very cold, the freezer worked great though. The distance from the house to the beach is about 60 yards give or take. The grounds are lush and beautiful. The beach area is more crushed coral than sand. The waves coming into the cove can be very strong and an under current was present that could pull you out if you weren't careful. Eddie dropped us off to go shopping a couple of days, never felt unsafe anywhere. We also got a day pass to one of the all inclusive resorts, the beach there was spectacular along with the service.
Unless you are extremely picky you won't regret staying at this property. Rosanne, the property owner was great with getting everything set up and answering any questions. You will meet Lisa, the property manager, when you arrive. She is also a real estate agent. She spent the day with my wife and I showing us the island and some properties we are interested in. She is super nice and alot of fun. Also very knowledgeable about the island if you have any questions.
Will DEFINITELY stay at this property again when we come back!!!
P.S. When you go into town to shop or eat....order a drink called The Monkey LaLa. You won't regret it!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at L'alize! Definitely take advantage of Eddier and Mirna for home cooked meals and private transportation. We mixed in Mirna's cooking with getting taken out to West End/West Bay and really enjoyed the stay overall.

This property has amaizing views. The Garden and nature was breathtaking. They could use some new pans, some nonstick stuff. We had bad weather and beach was rough, but still beautiful to sit by keyhole. Edier and family will be the cherry to your vacation, so worth to rent the transportation. Thanks again for an unforgetable vacation.

My family enjoyed our stay so much. It was the perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the amazing weather. We had plenty of room and it was nice for the teenagers to have their own space and kitchenette downstairs. The upstairs kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, utensils, and basics. We appreciated the water dispensers on both levels as well.
We had Edier as our driver and he was wonderful, always extremely prompt and friendly. Mirna was wonderful as well. Our favorite thing was being able to sit out on the balconies and listen to the ocean. Our last day there was even calm enough to get out on the kayak! We snorkeled a bit in the cove and it was great. We’re not strong swimmers so we avoided going too far, but on the calm days we saw lots of fish and urchins and crabs.
The pool was nice to cool off, and the breeze kept the house very comfortable so that we didn’t need to even use air conditioning except in the bedrooms occasionally. We highly recommend this beautiful house and hope to come back!

The location is beautiful. It is very isolated. You will definitely need to either rent a car or use their van. The keyhole beach is very pretty. It was quite rough most days we were there so we didn't snorkel there. There are lots of urchins in the water.
This is a large home so there's lots of room to spread out. For some families, it may actually be too spread out. Layout is as follows: There are a lot of stairs (not safe for little ones). There are two bedrooms with baths on the upper level, and two bedrooms with baths in the ground level, with the living/kitchen/dining on the level in between. The fifth bedroom is a separate casita.
The house is nicely decorated. Kitchen is well equipped. The beds are very comfortable although they could use new sheets and pillows. It was clean but not close to immaculate.
Electricity is charged separately. We were charged $250 upfront. Be aware that if you don't use the full allowance, you are not refunded what you don't use.
You may want to take picture of damage you see when you check in. We pointed out problems with the icemaker when we checked in. We were not able to use it the whole time we were there. Then when we left, we were charged $70 because we supposedly cracked the ice holder. It was our word against theirs, so of course we didn't get our money back.
Overall a nice place to stay; esp for a group of all adults; and if you don't want to be close to restaurants and nightlife.

We’ve been to a lot of great places.
The location is the best!
We love to snorkel and Roatan is the best in the Western Hemisphere
And right out front on your private beach….amazing snorkeling!
Super close to West End and West Bay where all the restaurants are.
We had the van and Eddier drive us, that was so great!
Can’t say enough!
Stay here!

Stunning views, beautiful house, great staff
My family and i had never been to roatan before and do not speak spanish so we were relying heavily on on the staff to help us out. We could not have been more pleased, Eddie was at the airport when we arrived and helped us get our luggage loaded. He answered all of my calls and was very punctual when we needed picked up. We had Mirna whip up a few meals for us and they were all fantastic. The house was clean and well stocked, you may be warned there could be power outages but we experienced about 30 minutes on only one day of the week we stayed. The keyhole beach is beautiful and is easily accessible if you walk the roadway, the stairs by the pool can be a bit treacherous if you’re carrying beach stuff/snorkel gear. We had 2 days that were calm enough to snorkel right in the keyhole and its gorgeous. Overall, we were very impressed and hope to stay again.

L'Alize is a beautiful home with a beautiful location. If you are challenged mobility wise though, this is not the house for you. Lots of steps (39 to be exact) up to the front door. Outdoor patio and kitchen were lovely. Even has a fresh lime tree. Key hole beach was very nice, but was too windy to spend much time there while we were there. Merna cooks amazing food. I highly recommend the banana French toast. Edier was a fun and friendly driver, and took us anywhere we wanted to go. Super experience overall!

Best snorkeling ever
The property was great.. We were greeted at the airport by Edier (Eddy) he took us to the store for supplies. I strongly suggest you make a list on the plane. Things you may have forgotten (sunscreen ) and things you will need to be comfortable. We also hired Eddy and the van for the week which i higly recomend as well ,( Driving in Roatan is not for me) There is a phone provided to communicate with Eddy. We would go over our plans for the next day with Eddy and he was always on time and VERY helpful. I also would suggest you loading Whatsapp on your phone.. Here is why
Most of the people on the island use it
We had food delivered from Anthony's chicken and it was awesome ! using the app
we ordered food from a Taco place to go using it
a lot of places wont answer there phone, they do respond on whatsapp for whatever reason. Eddy made our stay much more enjoyable than if we had rented a car.
Once we arrived to the property we were met with a tropical drink and the manager who went over the property
The beach in front of the house had some great snorkeling when the water was calm enough to swim & Eddy did his best to keep the seagrass at bay
Mirna cooked dinner our 1st night there and it was amazing. She cooked two more meals and they were great as well. She is very good at her job, the place was always spick and span after she came
The only issue we had was the construction next door, We understand this is out of there control and there were a few days they did not work
Rosanne, the property owner was VERY helpful in planning for our trip and once we arrived. I cannot say enough good things about Rosanne and the staff , they went WAY beyond what was expected and we will be back for sure
Other points.. The best snorkling is in front if the Grand Roatan in West bay.. go out about 300 yards and it is the best
Little French Key, great for families , NOT if you want to just snorkel. You cannot go through the reefs and they keep large animals in cages the size of a bedroom ..
We did go on the Mangrove tour and that was worth doing. Other than that we enjoyed West Bay and West end.

Great secluded house with private cove!
We had a fantastic time at L'alize. The house is quiet, secluded and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The pool is nice and cool and the private cove is definitely a treat. The host and supporting staff are top notch! It's worth it (and cheaper) to have Edier be your driver. We also had Mirna cook us a couple of dinners including some tuna we caught on one of our fishing excursions. Lisa gave us a warm welcome onto the property as well as provide many recommendations. I wouldn't hesitate to book this house again!

A very good stay.
The property was very good. Our group really enjoyed the house and beach access. The private swimming hole at the beach is wonderful for snorkeling. Kitchen was the best equip of all the houses we have ever stayed at. We like to cook during our trips and we never needed for anything. The location is beautiful but you must have a car. We had Edier for the week to drive us around in the house vehicle and he was amazing! It is too far to town to walk. Don’t even think about it:) The only real problem we ran into was the air conditioner in one of the lower bedrooms never worked properly while we were there even though there were several attempts to fix it during our stay. We have definitely stayed in much nicer houses at this price point. It is a bit worn but we really enjoyed the place. It has some of the most beautiful views of anywhere we have stayed. We look forward to returning.

We enjoyed every second of our stay and can’t wait to return! The house is close to everything and far enough away to feel private. The beach and pool were great places to cool off and relax. The staff was great and Always on time. Can’t say enough about our stay it was great! Luke Houghton
