This two person king bed apartment overlooks Douglas Island with great views of mountains and trees. Its located 15 minutes out of town which is why I chose it, hoping for quiet. And in general it’s a very quiet neighborhood, but you can hear every foot step and furniture move from upstairs. Not a big concern except when trying to go to sleep early in the evening. The apartment is spacious, with an electric stove, refrigerator , microwave, dishwasher, kitchen table, dishes, cups, a toaster and a moderate amount of supplies, including 2 rolls of paper towels which were appreciated. There is a big jar with ground coffee and a coffee maker, lots of cooking oil, red wine vinegar, some mayo and ketchup in the far left drawer. It has a good bed, very comfortable and an extra blanket is provided. The apartment has a very nice desk area which my husband appreciated very much. The washer-dryer was extremely appreciated as we are among the islands for 3 weeks and dirty clothes mount up. The bathroom has a closet, a sink, a toilet and a shower.
The oddest thing is that the apartment is supplied with spoons, forks and serrated knives, as well as large cutting knives, but no regular table knives and no cutting board. And for a place which has as many hours of light in summer as Alaska, the curtains could be better. We hit our sides a couple times on the bed posts, but it’s a nice look. The sitting nook is set up for reading, but a little hard on the bum. My husband found the shower too small. I thought that wasn’t as big an issue as there was no grab bar for us 70 year olds.
Communication with the owners was good, except the day before and day of arrival, when we were trying to check in and see if coming around 8:30-9:00 was ok. They had already sent us an email on how to get into the apartment (the lock code and procedure) days before, but that was lost in spam and didn’t catch our attention. Communication was good again once we connected and the hosts were very gracious in inviting us to let them know by text anything we needed.
Lastly, we found all the light switches except for one for the kitchen undercounter lighting. For folks who would have a hard time with a steep driveway, note that the cab drivers preferred to park at the bottom of the driveway rather than drive up and then have to back down and out. There is no way to turn around at the top of the driveway.
We would stay at this location again only if we had a car.

It's a cozy Alaskan place to stay. Beautiful views. Definitely recommended for longer stays in Juneau with its amenities.
This is a tri- level house with permanent residents in the house above. Though completely separated with your own entrance. Noise and activity often late into the night can be heard.

The room was nice.
The drvieway! Too steep, for older people in the winter time.

The space is amazing. It is a full Inlaw suite with a full kitchen. There’s also an incredible view. there was snow when we arrived so the parking was plowed in, but the hosts are super responsive to text and quickly guided us to where we should park. Great people, great location, and well furnished.
everything was perfect except for the mattress. It is badly worn out and needs replaced. It is super bouncy because it is a box spring so any move your partner makes is really felt. It is starting to banana like old mattresses do. Even just a new foam mattress would be a huge improvement and make this one of the best non-hotel stays ever!

It was a great place to stay for my wife and I this weekend. We only stayed for the weekend, but the room was well equipped for a much longer stay.
Nothing, we liked everything about it.

Location is pretty central to everything.
The mattress was too soft for my personal taste but still comfortable!

This is a great place to stay! Close enough to everything we needed. Gorgeous view from the many windows. The bed was extremely comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well-stocked if you are looking for a place where you can cook for yourself.
We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Juneau. :) Thank you Kelli!
Not a problem for us, but a word of caution for those who may have difficulty walking...the driveway is steep and parking is at the bottom of drive. You could have your spouse/friend drive you up to the door then park below

A very good unit with a large living/bedroom and well set up kitchen at one end. This main room has a very pleasant outlook over the Gastineau Channel to the mountains on Douglas Island. The combined bathroom/laundry is also large and convenient to use. A couple could comfortably live here for a long period. Kelli is a very obliging and helpful host who helped us considerably when our travel plans were disrupted at the last minute (due to my own mistake) and we needed an extra night in Juneau.
No problems with any of this stay.
