This newly renovated guesthouse in the Santa Monica Mountains is located on a quiet accessible walking street in Topanga Canyon, just steps away from hiking trails in Topanga state Park.
The studio apartment boasts a well-equipped kitchen with full refrigerator for plenty of storage, an induction cooktop, microwave, Breville electric oven and an outdoor gas grill. Have your dinner on a private redwood deck and patio, shaded by coast live oak trees. This rental has oak hardwood floors, walk in shower and all new fixtures throughout. Quiet A/C and heat with private guest parking space included.
Enjoy easy access to many local beaches and endless mountain trails for hiking and biking in Mediterranean climate conditions. Malibu and Topanga Beaches have world-class surfing conditions. Site seeing, restaurants and tourism abound.
Charming and clean with a comfortable queen sized bed, this 220 square foot space with private deck is perfect for couples. Use of the grounds with over thirty oak trees makes for a delightful getaway or stop over while traveling.
We provide maps and advice regarding hidden beaches and locations in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Malibu Creek State Park and access to Cultural activities in the city of Los Angeles.

Nestled under a canopy of live oak trees, this smartly designed dwelling provides a perfect getaway from the bustle of LA but with easy access to the coast. Megan and Jon are gracious, helpful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay.

We had a very pleasant stay. The apt was cozy and had everything we needed. The owners communicated to us throughout which made check in process and our stay easy & relaxing. The location and surrounding area were wonderful as well. Thank you.

We stayed for a couple of nights. Quiet neighbourhood with friendly hosts and dog. We walked to Topanga state park so great to leave the car behind for a day (although a very short drive with lots of parking if preferred). Place was very clean and we liked the deck.

Great place to stay near LA
Very clean, comfortable studio guesthouse. We stopped at the nearby market for some food to eat in. We had good breakfast at both TLC and Cafe 27. Convenient location for visiting Malibu and Santa Monica.

Perfectly located in a lovely neighborhood. Close to the beach and restaurants. Room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Water pressure in the bathroom was surprisingly great!

Great stay.
We came to Topanga for a wedding and was looking for a quiet place to spend two nights. This was the perfect place.
Megan was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable.

All we needed!!
This Vrbo more than met our expectations. It was as clean as a pin, there was nothing we could have wanted that wasn't available, The property manager was available on site and so friendly. Great location, just about 5 minutes from our son and family's home in Topanga. We are expecting to make return visits. It's a cozy place---

Perfect, just as described
If you want to escape from the city and feel like you are truly on vacation this is a wonderful place to stay. Gorgeous drive through the canyon and a peaceful neighborhood. Everything is just as it looks in the pictures. Bed is comfy - shower is nice and big and the kitchen is well stocked. Outdoor seating is private and so tranquil. Hosts are very helpful and kind. We highly recommend this guesthouse

Wonderful
The Guest House was exactly as presented in the pictures, but even the pictures don't quite do it justice as to its coziness, cleanliness, and details! The deck area was a wonderful place to relax in the evening. I wish I had more time to explore the property, but my friend and I had so many things we wanted to do while visiting the area that we just didn't have the time. Topanga Oaks was a great location, close to many beaches, Topanga State Park, and downtown Los Angeles, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the area. The owners also provided lots of information about things to do from dining to recreation and were responsive to questions both prior to and during our stay. It was such a neat area, we truly could have spent a few days just exploring the things to do off the main road to the VRBO! As a native Delawarean who had never been to the West Coast, this was the perfect place to stay to get a taste for the variety that southern California has to offer! I highly recommend it.

Amazing, magical spot......
We very much enjoyed our stay. Wonderful and interesting hosts, made us feel so very welcome. The quest house was perfect for us, very private, comfortable, well appointed, and in a gorgeous setting. we will be returning soon--thanks again Jon and Megan!!

Cozy and Quiet
The hosts were super communicative and responsive. As for the neighborhood: Note your experience will vary based on the time of year. Our stay was in January; the weather was temperate, crisp, and cloud free.

Ideal mountain getaway
This studio is exactly as described--no disappointments. Quiet, comfortable in all respects, immaculately clean and modern. The mountain air is a real treat, and something I wasn't expecting. Breathtaking views just steps away. This was my first visit to SoCal, and gracious hosts Megan and Jon were very helpful with suggestions before and during my stay. The location is amazing--very private yet convenient to Santa Monica and Malibu. Easy to feel at home here--thanks Megan and Jon!

Quiet retreat..Just beautiful!
It was so relaxing..much more than we expected..Our hosts were So hospitable....our reason for staying there was a visit to Getty Villa..which was so close & convenient..it beat the socks off staying at a hotel..from the new comfy bed & bedding..to the new bathroom & kitchen..in fact..everything is new & did I mention..immaculate?..I guess you could say we were impressed!..So unbelievably quiet..If I could give 10 stars..I would..

Cute place tucked away in Topanga Cyn
Cute place tucked away in the canyon. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They provided great recommendations for hikes and places to go and eat. Close enough to enjoy the sites but far enough away to appreciate the sites and sounds of nature and the uniqueness of the canyon. Fun place to stay!!!

Pleasant Stay
The studio was very well equipped. The only regret is that we couldn't get TV channels. We spent most of our time in Pacific Palisades, so it was a little far away. If we were there for a mountain hideaway, it would have been perfect. Very clean and very complete.

Well kept, modern, quaint, refreshing!
Megan and Jon were great hosts; friendly, personable, easy to work with. The place was exactly what we wanted; homey, secluded yet close to activities, quiet yet providing us with many options: beach, hiking, entertainment, shopping! You need a car to get there and get around but they had a private and convenient parking spot. I would definitely book again and hope I find myself back soon to do so!

Perfect
The hosts were lovely and very responsive to any messages or queries we had, even popping out to say hello when we arrived and making us aware of any additional useful information. The property itself is just what we wanted and is private from the main house. Cosy and modern guest house with everything you could possibly need. Large shower and the bed is extremely comfy, the kitchen is fully equipped and the fridge has plenty of space. The outside area on the decking was perfect for a morning cuppa or a bite to eat at lunch. Located in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood. We stayed here and drove into Malibu which was only a 15-20 minute drive (maybe even less), the drive to the beach was roughly the same. Zuma beach is close by and is a quiet sandy beach which we’d recommend as the other beaches are quite busy or have a high tide all day. We didn’t see any supermarkets while we were driving around, but we were only there for 2 nights so it wasn’t a big problem for us. Overall we would definitely recommend this property to anyone staying in the area. Close to lots of restaurants and beaches, friendly host and a lovely place.

Adorable & Functional!
This place is a gem! I highly recommend staying here. It's brand-new, fully functional, adorable, clean, and cozy. The heater works well (I mention that because I froze at a place where the owners failed to disclose a lousy heating system)...
I stayed for nine days and it was an ideal home-away-from home. The shower is spacious and the hot water was fast. The owners are friendly, helpful, and responsive; they are onsite but didn't interfere. I had long hours and felt safe, as a woman traveling alone, coming in late every night.
The location is literally five minutes from the central "town" area of Topanga Canyon - to restaurants and shopping.
It is a studio so it's small but the high ceilings make it feel spacious. There are plenty of windows that open for fresh air and excellent and functional window coverings. The kitchen is delightful, useful, and all new. There is a refrigerator and freezer - with ice waiting.
Overall, I can't wait to stay here again!

Perfect accommodations in quaint Topanga
The space is exactly as pictured and described. Very clean, modern and comfortable; with special touches. The hosts were so accommodating and attentive, and had excellent suggestions for things to do (Tuna Canyon hike is a must). Nestled in an adorable, eclectic neighborhood, the property was beautiful. We sat on the private deck every morning and drank tea. We highly recommend.

Cozy Topanga getaway
Jon and Meg were very courteous during our stay. This was a lovely room for one or two people. Bathroon, kitchen, bedroom have everything one would need for a rental. Even has a new heating system in there which we used. This guest house is located in Topanga so hopefully you get outside and go on some hikes!
