This property has potential, but needs attention. The house was not clean, the AC upstairs stopped working, and there were visible issues with the house. The thermostats kept kicking back to high temps and we were hot all week. But!! Can’t beat the location, the beach is beautiful and not crowded in that area, the owner was easy to get in touch with and was responsive to the issues we had.

We enjoyed our stay ! The location and convenience to the beach was perfect ! Beds were super comfy but we did feel like the house could use a good deep clean . I realize it’s peak season and turn around time is short but baseboards and walls could use a good wipe down as well as cleaning under all furniture .

We had a fantastic stay at Salty Pelican. The location is wonderful. Close to Sassy Bass and Tacky Jacks restaurants. We enjoyed being directly on the beach. The kids could go to and from the beach easily. The little pool ended up being a favorite for the kids. The kitchen is well stocked. We also enjoyed the family room being large enough for our family to relax and play games. We are looking forward to returning. Thanks for sharing your home.

Family vacation with 8 adults and 3 children ages 7 to 9. The house was perfect for us, just steps from a beautiful private beach area. The pool was small but the kids loved it. Had an issue with the washing machine caused by a previous guest. The host immediately let us know and even though it was Memorial Day weekend, was able to rectify the situation with no inconvenience to us whatsoever. Will definitely be returning!!

We had the best time this last week at this house!! Perfect set up for a big group with ours ranging from 6 years old to 56 years old! House was exactly as listed and so beautiful! We did notice the pool wasn’t working correctly so I messaged the owner and she called me within minutes and had the pool guy there that same day to fix it! We will definitely be booking this house again in the future!

The house was awesome! It had everything we needed plus so much more. The beach was at our doorstep. Great living area big enough for our 10 adults and 6 children. The walk-in showers were nice. Plenty of beach chairs and accessories. Great location. Because there were no closets in the bedrooms, it would have been nice to have a few hooks for hanging clothes. Well stocked kitchen, but we missed the can opener, measuring cups, etc. in the island drawer until late in the week because it didn’t have a handle. It didn’t look like a drawer. All in all, a great week!

This house was wonderful for a family or a group. The rooms are well laid out, and the noise from one room to another is minimal. The location is outstanding, and everything that was in the listing was an honest, perfect depiction of what we found. The owner were very helpful and answered all the questions I had. This little gem was perfect for our crew of 14 including 5 littles 5 and under. The double queen beds were perfect for the families and the dipping pool was just the right size for the kids. Really well appointed! Tons of chairs, toys, tents, etc for your use.

We had total of 8 and this house fit us all. The beds in this house are very comfortable. The location and the private beach is amazing. The house had everything you need. The pool was nice to sit in and just relax after a long day at the beach. Shae was awesome to work with and she respond quickly to questions. I will differently be renting this house again for sure. We were here with our children and grandchildren and had a fantastic vacation. It was perfect for all ages. We loved having the pool and the beach was just steps from the house. My family (12 of us) and I were able to stay in this beautiful home and it did not disappoint. The proximity to the beach was amazing, everyone had their own bed/bedroom, the living/kitchen space was perfect for hanging out during rainy days, and the pool was just the addition the kids needed at the end of a long beach day. The host was easy to get a hold of when we had questions and speedy in her reply when we needed something for the home. I would 10/10 recommend this beach home.

We loved this property! Location is perfect. The beach is amazing. My only issue is the cleanliness of the property. It could use a good deep cleaning. The couch needs a new cover. It was dirty and smelled. The baseboards in the bathrooms need a good wipe down and so do the kitchen cabinets. Overall it as great.

This beach house was so amazing!! Absolutely beautiful house, setting, and the most incredibly views. The house is right on the beach and had everything you could ever need for the best beach trip! Shae was so easy to communicate with and provided all the information we needed for the best stay. The house is beautiful inside with so much space! Everything was so clean! All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were amazing and we slept 11 adults comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed. Being able to walk right out your door and onto the beach is the best! It was truly the best VRBO rental I’ve stayed in!

Everything was fantastic, truly, From the house to the location to the weather! Fort Morgan has a real feeling of how Gulf Shores was in the 80s, before all the condo buildings. the floor in the house wasn’t very clean when we got there, and the sofa slipcovers need washing!! The bathrooms were clean, the sheets were clean, lots of towels, it was just the floors, which needed vacuuming/ mopping. I think that the cleaners weren’t doing as good a job as they should’ve been, but I’m sure the property owners had no idea. Communication with owners was terrific, extremely friendly, accommodating and responsive, would definitely stay with them again!

We booked this home for my daughter's 6th birthday family beach trip. The property was great. There was adequate parking and the house was well furnished, equipped, and very spacious. Shae was very responsive with inquiries and a delight to do business with. The location was quiet and the private beach was very nice as well!

This beautiful home sits right on the beach! We had 14 family members and there was plenty of room for all of us! The kitchen has all the pots and pans needed for anything you might want to cook. Lots of beach chairs and beach toys! the small pool on the deck was great for both the younger and elderly when the waves were a little strong. I was quite surprised that there were no dressers so you had to live out of your suitcases.
Overall it suited us well as we made memories to last a life time!!!

We had a party of ten adults/seniors who play pickle ball together. The home was clean and location was amazing. The only complaint was no dressers or closets to put there clothes in (didn’t bother me). Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. Working with management was a pleasure.

The Salty Pelican was all we had hoped for. The house was comfortable with plenty of room for our family and then some. Right on the beach which was pretty quiet the whole time we were there. All the sand toys were helpful to keep the kids entertained and the especially loved the deck pool.

Spring Break Heaven
The Salty Pelican was everything we wanted it to be for our multi-family Spring Break. There were 3 families staying with 6 adults, 4 kids. The bunkbed room with trundle was perfect for the three13 year old boys. And the queen room across hall for the 13 year old girl. All other bedrooms/bathrooms for the adults were great. The only negative and thing to be aware of is none of the 5 bedrooms have a closet or a dresser so you will be living out of suitcases which isn't ideal over a weeks vacation. Rooms seem to have sufficient room to add dressers so was surprised to see that. There is no kitchen pantry either so we kept some of our food in one of the cabinets, on the counter, and in bins on the floor we brought with us. An addition of 2 small chairs and side table would be great for second story balcony. We improvised by bringing up 2 kitchen chairs. Owners have a great amount of nice beach chairs, umbrellas and sand toys which was helpful.and used. Owner/mgmt was extremely quick to respond to any emails. Usually within minutes. Sand is like powder and felt like we had our own private beach! Just a short, beautiful ride into town for excursions. I wouldn't hesitate to rent again...we had an amazing time! Thank you Salty Pelican for so many wonderful memories made. Until next time...

Great home for our large family.
We loved being able to walk our and right down to the beach, the children loved being able to swim in the deck pool as well as play on the beach. Our only suggestions would be to upgrade the grill, as it is not big enough to accommodate the large families that rent the property and put a direct water line from the hot water heater to the washer (if water running anywhere else in the house, it will not fill and trips a code). Yes we will be back and Shae was amazing to work with!

What a View
The wall of windows facing the gulf provided a spectacular view--we felt "on vacation" even inside! The steps to the beach were an easy trek even for the little ones, and they enjoyed the dip in the compact pool on the deck.
