Kiko is a very good host, making everything he can to make your stay enjoyable. I just highly recommend you to stay at Shalom camp of you go to Bucana. You can find restaurants and shops nearby.

The Staff and Kids.
The huts could improve a bit. Not exactly as in the pictures.

We absolutely loved our stay at Camp Shalom, the location was amazing (on a very quite and beautiful beach) the family running Camp Shalom were amazing, they spent time with us and helped us organise a local tour, brought us to karaoke and made sure we were happy throughout our stay. I can't say enough great things about this place. We stayed in both el nido and here, in our opinion this is 100 times better than el Nido town. I count the days until I can return to camp Shalom. Ka Kiko and your family thank you for everything, I hope to see you again soon

Ka Kiko tuli meitÀ vastaan Bucana Hanging Bridgelle. Vuokrasimme scootterin El Nidosta. Shalom Camp sijaitsee upealla paikalla.

Our host, ka Kiko and his lovely family were ABSOLUTELY wonderful!! They were so attentive and responsive in providing whatever we needed- just wonderful people đ
The description of the property presented in the booking. com description didnât clearly convey just how âprimitive â the amenities ( such as they were) actually were. For example, if there are toilets they should be flush or perhaps composting toilets- not a bowl where you keep pouring water into to push the waste downâŠ.
Perhaps a small portable refrigerator for the larger unit would be a welcome addition.
In the plus side the staff really kept the place as clean as possible

The location and the family that lives there are both great. They do everything that they can to help you and make your stay memorable. Itâs the best place to live the authentic filipino experience.

The place was lovely. Kiko is one of the most amazing person that we've met in Philippines, he helped with everything and more. Just in front of the sea. Very nice and quite place if you don't want to stay for few days with all the tourists from El Nido. 40min by walk from Duli beach (a lovely one). Thanks Kiko for everything!!!

Beach front, almost like you have your own private beach.
The cottage could use a little updated. Nothing fancyâŠThings like shower and toilet flushing to work, screen window in 2nd bathroom to prevent mosquitoes. Comes with the kitchen but you will have to buy every that you need, even with the basics but good thing is it cost almost to nothingâŠ.

The place is nice and comfortable, in the beach.
The family managing and living there is great.

The caretaker is really friendly and helpful.
Not the properties fault but the sand flies here are extreme, I've never been bitten so much in my life.

Wonderful encounter with our hosts !
We had a very warm greeting and we spent some great moments with the family that manages the place. They were so nice and thoughtful đ
The camp is located in front of the beach in a little fisherman's village, off the beaten tracks. Exactly what we were looking for. You have to leave your vehicle at the suspend bridge, then walk over. Great experience. They were waiting for us at the bridge.
You will be sleeping in a little simple nippa and you have a commun kitchen and bathroom. Everything was very clean.
If you are looking for an experience out of the touristic zones and meet a local Filipino family this place is for you.
With a scooter, you can easily go to visit Nacpan beach (touristic beach with a lot of resorts and restaurants) or Duli beach (less people but has a small surf spot and two places for lunch or a drink, also offers massages), or even have a road trip around the north.

The host did what they could to help and the staff were friendly
The room was significantly oversold, it was very uncomfortable with an unclean toilet area, the building which it was in wasnât pleasant at all

Kiko is the friendliest host you could ever wish for. When we arrived he directly shared his lunch (fresh tuna) with us and assisted us through town. The town is full of playful kids that love foreigners. The beach is beautiful and very private. You won't see a lot of tourists out here (yet). Also, the popular Nacpan beach and Duli beach right around the corner. We stayed much longer than expected.
The bathroom facilities are very simple (like most budget places around El Nido). Everything in Camp Shalom and in the town are a bit less developed as in bigger towns like El Nido.
4.5
The perfect place if you are looking for something away from all the tourism! Staff was super friendly and the rooms were clean.
Hard to get to (we got a scooter in the end) but they have an airport transport once a day.

This resort was even better than we imagined. Such a peaceful place! Our camping hut was quite simple but neat, cozy, and right on the beach. The family looking after this place was warm and hospitable. They gave us some homemade Sinigang to taste :) They were so helpful showing us around (local paradise beaches & restaurants).
Can't even think of a thing we didn't like!
