Sunset Pointe is located at the southernmost tip of Placencia Peninsula, surrounded by water on three sides. The natural beauty of the tropical mangroves, the turquoise waters of the blue Caribbean Sea, the placid marine rich Placencia Lagoon and the Mayan Mountains are the back drop of a 360 degree view from Sunset Pointe Condos.
About 100 miles south of Belize City lies a 16-mile long peninsula. Placencia Village is a quaint fishing village that is home to about 500 Creole fishermen and their families. Surrounded by the beautiful Caribbean on the East side, the mangrove-lined Placencia Lagoon on the West side and the 2nd largest Barrier Reef in the world only 16 miles off our coast, you can see why Placencia is a dream destination for those who love to fish, dive or snorkel. But if you are more intrigued by land adventures, Belize will not disappoint! There are beautiful forests to zip line through, caves to hike, rivers for rafting, Mayan ruins to explore… just to get you started!
You can vacation here in secluded luxury at Sunset Pointe, a private, 12 condo, individually owned vacation residence.
Whether you want active adventure or quiet relaxation or both, you can have it during your stay at Sunset Pointe. From outings into the adjacent Caribbean Sea for fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, spearfishing, secluded island hopping, beach combing and sunbathing to road trips into the interior for jungle exploration, zip lining, cave tubing, Mayan ruins, and tomb trekking, it is all available with a private guide at the helm. Alfred Williams, our friend and 30 year licensed local guide in Belize, will take you there in his boat or vehicle. Venture on your own with a lagoon-side 10 minute walk into the heart on Placencia Village for provisions at the supermarket/pharmacy, a stop at the internet cafe, lunch at a local restaurant on the beach or over water, a sip at the local wine bar, and desert at the authentic Italian gelato shop. Rent a golf cart in town and visit one or several small resorts which line the Caribbean side of the peninsula to shop, or take your fresh caught fish which they will prepare for you for a fabulous dinner.
You may want to take the day off and relax with the private amenities of Sunset Pointe which include the pool, hot tub, 360 degree view roof top palapas, Caribbean dock with hammocks, fishing pier with boat slips, outdoor barbecue pit with caretaker on site. Take in the sunrises over the Caribbean Sea and majestic sunsets over the lagoon and Mayan Mountains. After walk into town for some tropical nightlife at the local beach bars which offer drinks and dancing well past midnight. Kayaks and bikes are provided for exploring Lagoon and Village.

For my wife and I, this was our first time in Belize and we loved it.
Our condo was excellent
The views spectacular
We loved the fact that we had privacy with the only drawback being we were quite a distance from the town
But that was also a good thing because we would not have wanted to stay in town because it would not have been as private, or off the beaten track as it were

Our month-long stay at Sunset Pointe was perfect! The property is surrounded by water on three sides and is simply breathtaking! The condo was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We would come back again in a heartbeat!

This listing is exactly as described & more!
Helen was very timely w/communications and any questions we had. The house is beautiful, comfortable & the views from both patios are amazing. Snorkeling w/Alfred & his nephew Eloy was a real treat. They are both knowledgeable, fun and genuinely caring human beings!
We had a great week here. Would rent this unit again.
Thanks Helen!

5 min walk from town, amazing water views out both sides of condo. Lovely swimming pool. Comfy beds. Full size kitchen. Everything we needed!!
This is our second time staying at sunset point and we always enjoy ourselves. Best location in town. Lagoon to one side, ocean view to the other. Open doors to both verandas and the sea breezes kept us cool. Did I mention the views?!
Thank you for sharing your little slice of paradise with us! We’ll see you again in a couple years!

We loved our stay at Sunset Pointe! Both the location and the condo are beautiful, and we loved sitting out on the second floor balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean, or relaxing by the pool. Town is a 15 minute walk away, and there are many nice restaurants to choose from. We especially enjoyed the local Belizian fare.

Super Sunset Pointe Condo Placencia
This is a beautiful condo with a perfect setting as Caribbean on one side and the Bay on the other side and right on a canal so lots of cool boat watching. Love this place!!

Condo has great views of the canal on one side and palapa on the other. Accommodations were nice and the air conditioning a welcome for our first trip to Belize. Onsite caretaker Francisco was the absolute best and one of the nicest people you will meet!! Enjoyed the onsite pets Luna (dog) and Siger (cat). Luna is super happy to watch the sunrise from the palapa with you in the mornings. Overall I would recommend staying at this end of the road, quiet condo!

Excellent Home!
Fantastic location with amazing views from every room. We really enjoyed being in the heart of the village. Alfred was a great guide for excursions. Owner was great to work with including allowing us to rebook twice due to COVID trip cancellations.

Our first visit to Placencia was a great visit. The unit we stayed in was a second floor unit with beautiful views from both sides! The breezes were wonderful. Didn't need to use the a/c. We loved the dock for the morning sunrise. The only thing lacking at the dock is a ladder to be able to get in and out of the water from the dock. The unit had everything we needed! A short walk or bike ride into the village of Placencia lent itself to many restaurants and local Belizian meals. We especially enjoyed Carmen's Kitchen. We took a fishing trip and regret that we did not book it through Alfred!
The neighbors in Sunset Pointe were all very friendly and helpful!
The toilet tissue (issue) took a little getting used to!
The unit is well stocked and beautifully decorated. Having access to bikes was wonderful. We enjoyed riding around and exploring the areas. The notebook of things to do in the area is complete and a very helpful guide.
We also enjoyed some time at the pool! It is beautiful. The unit is in a great location within the setting of Sunset Pointe.
If we return to Placencia, we will consider staying here again!

This was the perfect get away for me and my family. Quiet, mellow, and the perfect location.
I loved staying here! Helen was really responsive, accommodating and easy to talk to. Francisco the care taker was also wonderful. The property was clean, quiet, and beautiful. The location is perfect with just a short walk to town, restaurants, the beach, stores, ice cream, and shops. The pool was clean and perfect for our baby.

Only downside was lack of beach. Public beach is some
distance away.

This is a great place to stay on the lagoon side in Placencia. My family (including 4 kids - 4, 7, & 9) had plenty of room in this beautiful condo. This kids all wanted to sleep in the 3rd level bunk! We had the owner’s friend Alfred and his charming son take us out to the Silk Cayes one day for snorkeling and the lunch at the Lionfish Grill on Reef/Hatchet Caye - an amazing experience that we highly recommend! And cool that you can be picked up for boat tours right outside your door. We used the pool one afternoon and also took the kayaks around the lagoon for an afternoon, both great! We didn’t really use the kitchen for meals other than breakfast & afternoon snacks - we didn’t have a car, so it was hard to stock up, plus I was not inclined to cook on vacation :) The only thing missing at the complex is a swimming beach - which I don’t think is really possible in that part of Placencia anyway. The one day we went to the beach we just hung out at the barefoot beach bar and that worked fine (the cozy corner would be another option but it was closed on Monday). The beach wasn’t super nice (coarse sand & sea weed). We heard that the beaches in Maya Beach and Seine Bight are nicer, but we didn’t get up that way. We had breakfast at paradise resort twice - very good! And also enjoyed dinners at Rumfish y vino and the Secret Garden, and lunch at Omar’s (get the conch burrito). And gelato at Tutti Fruiti!

Caribbean Paradise
Sea breezes, sun, privacy, easy walk to town, friendly and helpful caretaker, amazing views, everything you need for a relaxing and interesting vacation. The condo was well equipped and comfortable. The decks were like a little bit of heaven to sit on in the cool shade and relax and enjoy life going by on land and in the sea. The crows nest was the best!!

Simply... WONDERFUL!!! Property is beautifully decorated with ample, open space and amenities for our group of 7 (6 adults, 1 child). The photos online really don't do justice to how nice the interior is decorated and constructed... love it!!!
Grounds are well-kept, clean, and as modern as one would want or expect. Great local feel, without the touristy-BS typically found in beautiful locations like Placencia. Being at the end of a peninsula really makes one feel secluded, and the 7-10 minute stroll into town was perfect at ALL hours of the day. Not once did anyone in our group (ages 69-8) feel like we were "outsiders". The friendliness of the locals (as we found pretty-much throughout all of Belize) was refreshing... human beings being human :)
The property manager, Francisco, was amazing during our stay. He really made us (more importantly our 8-yr old) feel comfortable and one of the family! He was always available (seriously, ALWAYS) and happy to help. Pool/hot tub and deck areas are well maintained - we never had any issues. Okay, a couple small tables would be welcome additions, but the color-changing pool lights at night even things out ;) Roof-top sitting areas and having 2 piers available for soaking in the reason why we came are also very nice.
Thank you for having us, we'll be in contact for our next trip if you'll have us!

Wonderful stay in Placencia!
This is our second time to stay at Sunset Pointe but first time at Helen's lovely place. It was soooooooooooo much nicer to be on the top floor and Helen could not be a more responsive and considerate host. She always responded to me within minutes it seemed and was extremely accommodating. We always love Placencia and Sunset Pointe is a wonderful location. Having Helen as the excellent host she is just made our trip that much more perfect. Thanks Helen! :-)

Expensive... But worth it
2 bedroom 2 bathroom, neat as a pin. There are kayaks and bicycles to borrow. Security is tight. The grounds have 2 docks and we fished off the deep one.there is a palapa 'lookout' on the roof. A 15 minute walk to town or a five minute bike ride. The internet worked well. Huge deck. Very well equipped with pots pans coffee maker. The water is safe to drink there. Placencia is very laid back, with many restaurants. If you are looking for action go to Amberquis Cay. If you just want peace and quiet, placencia is the place for youThank you Helen

Magical!
Being at the tip of the peninsula was perfect for our family of five. The beds were plentiful, the a/c and WiFi were welcomed and the views from the turrets was spectacular. Sitting on top, gazing at the stars above and listening to the town come alive below while fireworks exploded for Christmas was amazing. The hosts that live on the property are awesome. Their dog Star is cute, too! We highly recommend this safe and clean place to stay while visiting Placencia. Renting a golf cart is not always needed but fun to drive! Enjoy!

Awesome vacation!
The condo was clean and filled with all that you would need. Very convenient to town and has 2 docks nearby. The caretaker was very helpful and even let us rent his golf cart! Albert is a local guide used by the owners and we went out twice with him snorkeling and saw some amazing things! We went ziplining river tubing and saw some great waterfalls...all very beautiful! We used a company named Truly Wild Belize and the guys were very knowledgeable, we had a superior lunch and an all around fun day. Would highly recommend these condos!

Family Atmosphere!
My family enjoyed our time in Placencia and at the Sunset Pointe Condos. Fransisco assisted with anything that we needed, including a ride to the next town to have our daughter's shoulder X-rayed. (It was just bruised.) We loved the outdoor decks. The location is great. It's a 1/2 mile walk to town. If you rent this condo, good shoes are a must. The internet service was spotty. Next time I would plan more of the excursions in advance. We would definitely return!

Sunset Pointe Placencia, a highlight of our trip to belize
We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Placencia...the condo was just as described ...beautiful and clean! The on-site manager was polite, respectful, very helpful and accomodating! The location is perfect with wonderful views from two breezy decks, a great pool and a short walk or quick ride to town! It was the best of both worlds...Fransisco helped us with anything we needed while we were there and our booking couldn't have been easier...the owners graciously worked with us to make a slight change to our lodging due to some outside work begin completed. Took a wonderful tour of the howler Monkeys that started by boat at Sunset Point. The guide was fantastic! We definitely would recommend Sunset Pointe for both couples or families as the two bedrooms each with their own bathroom gave us plenty of personal space and the second bedroom would be perfect for a couple with children.
The owner was very gracious in helping us to make arrangement prior to our arrival in Placencia with wonderful advice which we heeded. Belize is a quite a place and we have many more spots that we want to discover so we will be going back again sometime next year.
Thanks again for your hospitality and the friendly atmosphere we enjoyed at Sunset.
Hope to see you again!

Nicest Place to stay in the village!
The condo was as described and was overall what we expected. It was just enough room. The master bedroom was very spacious, but the living area and other bedroom were a bit cramped for us. We had 5 adults and 2 kids and 1 baby. Our kids were scared to sleep in the loft as it was soo high and dark, but they enjoyed playing there during the day. I was pleased with the view and the niceness of the place, but there were a few things that 'bugged' us. It's in the details. There were 2 door handles that were faulty, one on the 2nd bdrm and the other on the main bathroom. This made privacy a bit of an issue. We did tell the caretaker. He said he would fix it the next day, but he never came by to actually do so. The caretakers were great with everything else though. They set up excursions with Alfred (who is wonderful btw) and hooked us up with a great taxi driver, Walter (highly recommended). Rosa (caretaker's wife) watched our kids in the pool for us a couple of afternoons. Their kids were great at including our kids in activities and playing with them. Back to the condo, the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The best one in the condo was the pullout sofa. The coffee maker was sketchy. It would work sometimes when it felt like it. The rest of the condo was great. The showers were hot, the a/c worked wonderful, and the pool/grounds were beautiful. My father-in-law loved the crow's nest (except for the raccoon poop) and the dock by the ocean. We all enjoyed snorkeling off the dock (easy access) in the ocean. It is sea grass, but we saw some small barracuda and tiny bait fish. We also discovered coral hiding among the sea grass. It was great to introduce our kids to their first time snorkeling. We saw lots of the other cabanas and 'hotels'. We picked the right place and the best place to stay! I hope the caretakers and owner fix the little inconveniences to make the place absolutely perfect. It also would have been nice to know that it is on the second floor as my mother-in-law has a hard time with stairs, but we managed.

Others in our group were picked up for an enjoyable day of scuba diving! We were two couples...without kids this time ...but would recommend for couples or families...two bedrooms each with their own bathroom gave us plenty of personal space and the second bedroom would be perfect for a couple with children...we hope to return again and would encourage anyone traveling to Placencia to stay at Sunset Point!

We were two couples with a 9 year old and could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay. Every thing was as was described on the web site. The photos are very accurate on how this condo appears. The first day we arrived everything was immaculately clean and finished off with some fresh cut flowers in a vase placed on the kitchen table on the deck.
We enjoyed our experience right form making our reservations to arriving in the unit. The owners were great at answering our questions. The grounds are kept clean and well maintained from the Care Taker Fransico. We enjoyed talking with Fransico and his family answering any questions we had about the area. Fransico was also very helpful in arranging a day trip with Alfred. We would recommend taking a day trip with Alfred.
The kitchen in our unit was wonderful to have as we did have a few dinners in and had breakfast each day. Having the full size fridge was an asset as we made very good use of all the space.
The beds were comfortable and having the bunks in the second bedroom helped for the size of our party.
We will return to Sunset Pointe and will recommend to our friends.

My Wife and I stayed and greatly enjoyed ourselves at Sunset Pointe for our 28 days.
Everything was as promised upon our arrival clean and comfortable and the views were incredible on the lagoon side and from our widows walk the Caribbean Sea as well.
The onsite caretaker Francisco was very helpful in arranging tours from our accommodation and seeing to all our queries.
The liesurely 15 minute walks to Placencia village for our what seems like nightly homemade gelato from the Tutti Fruitti gelato palour were awesome and we managed to pick-up groceries as well.
We have no reservations about recommending this accommodation to our friends and relatives, we had a great time!!

This condo was the perfect place to stay for my family (2 parents & 2 teens). It is equipped with modern amenities, is clean, well maintained, and attractively furnished. The views of from the two balconies are beautiful, and we made frequent use of the pool and hot tub. It is an easy 10-min walk to Placencia Village and to the beach. The owner was helpful and accessible from my first inquiry. The caretaker on site was very helpful, and the guide recommended by the owner was excellent. He and his son—both knowledgeable and friendly— took us on fun-filled adventures into the rainforest and the ocean. I have already recommended this condo to friends, and would happily return for another stay. We had a wonderful and most memorable family vacation.
