We really enjoyed our stay and being able to easily walk to all the shops and restaurants in Pearl Street. Enjoyed a 5 min drive to Chautauqua Park for some nice hiking. House was clean and comfortable.

1st trip to Boulder
This property was perfect for my stay. I was in town to visit my daughter and it was only 3 blocks from her job. It is also very convient to the great restaurants on Pearl St. The beds were very comfortable. This is a smaller top floor unit but plenty big for us. We really enjoyed our visit and our stay. Thank you.

Cozy apartment in a great location!
My partner, friend, and I very much enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The three of us were here for 8 weeks this summer. The apartment is cozy and comfortable; the rooms are well-sized, the living room space is plentiful, and the kitchen has all the essentials. There's plenty of old-school charm about the apartment, and—of course—the location can't be beat. We loved the fact that we were steps away from Pearl St. but the location still felt quiet and serene compared to everything going on Pearl. Would highly recommend!

Excellent Location
933 Spruce Street is an excellent location for any reason you are in Boulder. Rusty was an exceptional host. Friendly, and readily available when needed. He went out of his way to help us find another location when we had to stay in the area for another month since his place was already taken. Having Your own parking spot was awesome. Thanks Rusty.

Spruce St. Hideaway
The location was great, as it was real close to the mountains and the Pearl St. Mall. The property manager was reluctant to make repairs, even though we didn't ask for the moon. There was no extra linen, so bring your own sheets to change into. We were there for four months, but we had to live out of our suitcases, as he thought the space in the closets was enough. Be aware that there is no washer or dryer. If you're going to be there for a few days it's OK.

I wish I could give it 6 stars!
What a charming second story apartment, perched right above all the fun of downtown Boulder but with all the serenity of the tree lined residences of Mapleton hill.
Very comfortable with eveything our family needed. Thanks Rusty!

Great location, apartment as advertised.
The location of this apartment cannot be be beat if you are looking for a place that is convenient to downtown Boulder/Pearl St. Mall. The neighborhood is lovely and the proximity of fantastic coffee shops, restaurants, farmers' market, and bookstores was fantastic. The apartment itself wasn't posh, but it was very clean; beds were comfortable; and fresh flowers were waiting upon our arrival. Rusty sent our arrival instructions well ahead of time and the arrival, departure, and the off-street parking were all very convenient. All in all, the description of the house was accurate, however please know that the house is older and does not have central air, but rather smaller window air conditioners that were not incredibly effective at keeping the apartment much cooler than the ambient temperature outside. If the weather is pleasant then it would be no trouble at all, but it was 90+ degrees in Boulder for the first few days of our stay. Luckily, we had not planned to be there much during the daytime, so we just timed our returns to take advantage of the cooler night air. Lastly, the floors are VERY squeaky (even for an older home) so plan to tip-toe around lightly at night if you want to be a considerate neighbor.

Great host and even better location
The location of this property is amazing. Rusty was very responsive and very kind. I look forward to booking another property from him again in the future.
One block from Pearl St., great neighborhood to go for walks. Just amazing!

Charming apartment, perfect location!
I stayed in this apartment for 5 days while visiting Boulder for the first time. It was a great experience, the location couldn’t be any better as we were within walking distance of Pearl Street Mall, great restaurants, coffee bars and shops. In addition, the apartment is vintage charming in a beautiful neighborhood and the host was very accommodating, and communicated promptly when I messaged him. The only caveat I would point out is that the stairs leading to the apartment are very narrow and steep, so if you have any health issues limiting your mobility it could be an issue. But I loved the stay and highly recommend this quaint apartment!

Mixed bag in excellent location! You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful or peaceful neighborhood!
If you want a quiet place just steps from the heart of Pearl Street, this is a good choice as long as you don’t care about details. It has everything you need but in very cheap versions. Lamps, curtains, sofa, tables, bedspreads...Everything appears to be from a discount store. The yard is well maintained and the place is quite clean but the floor creaks so loudly throughout the house that we felt self conscious for the people downstairs. Trips to the restroom were noisy because the squeaking wakes others trying to sleep. But there is a great gas stove and good reception on WiFi and TV. The living room lamp needed repair as it kept drooping and wouldn’t stay put. All things that perhaps in time will be upgraded. But all in all we had a great month in Boulder and loved being able to walk everywhere

Perfect location, great apartment!
We had a fantastic stay in this apartment. Great location on a quiet street and just a short walk to the Pearl Street restaurants and shops. The kitchen was well-equipped for the cooking we did and even had some of the basic spices and cooking essentials we needed. Very cozy but perfect space, ideal for a couple to enjoy a getaway together. Will definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

Great little hideaway in the percect location, just steps from Pearl St
Arrived at downtown bus station with 3 bags each and considered transport but realized it was only a 5min walk to this place. We arrived late at night and the entry to this place was so simple, keys locked with access code and instructions on the table once we got in.
The top level is super spacious, bedrooms have plenty of space with large and comfortable beds, both have waredrobes. The living room is very open and nice to relax in, bathroom is good with a large shower. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and cutlery, lots of storage space for extra food and anything else.
My favourite thing was the location of this place, it's only a minute walk to Pearl St mall and some of the nicest restaurants Boulder has to offer are even closer. Being so close to the mall I expected some noise but it was dead quiet the entire time.
The owners are extremely nice, always offered help or advice and would stop to have a chat everytime I saw them. As this place doesn't have any laundry facilities the owners will take it to the local laundry for a small charge.
I highly recommend this place for someone who wishes to stay as close as the can to central Boulder but enjoys the quiet and relaxing home. I am very satisfied with my stay and cannot say any negatives about this place. Thank you Tanner and Rusty

Quiet retreat in downtown Boulder!!
We stayed in this upstairs apartment for 30 days and love it! It was quiet and close to everything, good restaurants, buses to Macky and Chautauqua Auditoriums and the Pearl Street Mall.
The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms are spacious. Onsite owner and off street parking space make this a perfect place to stay.

Nice simple apartment - clean and comfortable, great location
Nice and simple - very hard to see the house # from the street but the shuttle driver clearly had been there before! Outside lighting is not great so it was a good idea to take the provided flashlight with you when you went out at night. All very clean and comfortable and really central. The double locks on the door proved a bit of a challenge but we did master it! I am a paper map person so missed having a map to look at but that was soon remedied by the info kiosk in the pedestrian mall. I would definitely recommend this spot!!

As advertised. Rustic but clean; great location.
Great location. That is the highlight of this property. I think with a few additions this place could have been better. No bureau in BR to store clothes. Tiny little hotel soaps; old towels. Definitely not enough seating for 4 people.

Great Option- Fantastic Location
I had a wonderful stay in Boulder and the location of the unit was outstanding and a big part of that reason . The unit was clean and had the basic necessities.
However there were two disappointments . One was that the couch was not comfortable at all. After a long day of hiking, walking, running, whatever- you'd like to feel more comfortable . A second was that the "air conditioner" in the family room ran so loud you had to turn the tv way up to hear. There is no comparison in decor & comfort of the #937 unit vs unit #933. My friends were in #937, it was fantastic!
All in all it was a nice VBBO option.

The upstairs unit in this wonderfully located home was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Boulder. The home was neat, clean and very well appointed. We loved the location so close to galleries, shops, the farmer's market, the river and river path all within blocks. With the off street parking included with the unit (a must in downtown Boulder) we were able to park and leave the car to walk everywhere. An amazing place for an amazing stay in Boulder.

Great location! Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to downtown area. Just steps away from anything and everything you could want for shopping, dining, night life, etc. The apartment was comfortable apart from the bed in the second bedroom. Plastic mattress cover made it uncomfortable. Otherwise, this rental had everything we needed and we had a very pleasant week long stay! I would recommend this property! Owner was accessible and helpful.

I (family of four from Australia) have stayed for 2 weeks in this apartment and have enjoyed it thoroughly. It's large enough, well equipped, well heatable and so very close to the centre with many restaurant and beautiful non-chain shops. Also the walking trails were very close-by. No need to rent a car. Last not least, communication with Rusty was super friendly, constructive and quick.
4.0 / 10.0
The property was very convent with its dedicated parking spot and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants on Pearl St. Both rooms were a good size and the place was very clean. The only down side was the floors were very creaky and one of the bedroom doors was hard to close/open (tight fit).

Charming old home with a wonderful location close to Pearl Street. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a delightful stay and would highly recommend this to others. Plenty of space and a quiet place to retire to after a busy, adventurous day in Boulder! There are many things to do; plenty of biking trails, Pearl Street shopping, visits to the FlatIrons, Celestial Tea, RMNP, massages at the Spa down the street. We had one small request and the owner handled it right away.
The only consideration is that it is upstairs so make sure everyone in your party can handle the stairs and manage the luggage.

Had a great stay in Boulder at this convenient apartment. We were three friends who reunited and needed a simple place to stay and enjoy Boulder. The place was clean and well stocked with everything we needed and easy walking to the city center and hiking trails. We would definitely stay there again if in Boulder!

We had a great time on a quick trip to boulder for some business i was doing. My wife and kid were able to easily walk to the Pearl Steet mall while i was in meetings all day. After work we could just walk around downtown and finally order take-n-bake pizzas from Nick-n-Willys (Rusty, you may want to stock a pizza cutter in the kitchen) which is awesome! There is 24 hour organic food store down the street...perfect for us, travelers getting in late at night.
The only bad thing: The sofas are not very comfortable if you are watching a movie. Given, most people are out on the town enjoying their vacation, but we have a 4 year old, so we have to wind down and watch a movie on those modern/contemporary sofas...which look great, and work well for sitting on for short periods of time.

The listing description was accurate regarding the location and the photos accurately reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. We especially enjoyed the huge TV screen to watch the San Francisco/St. Louis baseball playoffs. The owner had turned on the heat so that the rental was warm when we arrived. We will certainly recommend this rental to friends. We would recommend the following restaurants: Salt, Brassiere1010, and The Boulder Cafe - all walking distance.
