Perfect spot
This cabin was perfect for our family of four to stay at while we spent a long weekend exploring Yosemite. It’s in a great location that made getting to both the valley floor and Mariposa Grove easy. The cabin was clean, comfy and spacious. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed cooking dinner and playing games (which we brought) in the evening. We would definitely stay here again.

Very hard to walk in, no WIFI!
I booked this place because there was no other properties available for that date. Now I know the reason...you have to park down the hill and walk up to the steep hill. It is hard enough if you have luggage or a cooler, but the door at the first floor is locked and you have to carry whatever you have to the second floor by the side stairs. It is so brutal if you check in after a long hiking (hill+stairs). Plus, it is the furtherest property in the Yosemite West area. It probably takes you 30 mins driving from the park to Yosemite West, but another 15 mins to the property. No phone signal and NO WIFI (We can see the neighbor's has WIFI.)

Great until the power failed
Property is great apart from number of steps to carry luggage up.
Unfortunate that power cuts spoiled our stay and we had to leave as it was too cold and dark to even to try and stay

Convenient with lots of stairs
Location was really convenient- close (30 min drive) to Yosemite compared to other places we looked at. Like other reviewers said, be prepared to climb few stairs from parking on the street to the house.
Otherwise, place was nice with plenty of space for family of 5.

great location!
this place was perfect for our family of five to use as our base for a week in yosemite
the bedroom and bathrooms were fine and the kitchen and deck were great family gathering spots
only one minor issue, as far as yosemite west goes, this house is as far from hi-way 41 as you can get within the complex (maybe another 10 minutes from the main road). not a big deal at all, just an fyi

Edelweiss ....would stay again!
Great location and the kitchen was well equipped and clean. Beds were comfortable and linens and are good quality also the grill was in good condition. . Only reason why it would t get a five is the number of steps to get up to it, lack of cushions for outside seating and would have been nice to have a lounge chair.

Great house, perfect for our group
The location is a bit out of the way for Yosemite hikes, but not a big deal

Great time with family and friends
We had a great time with family and friends. Used the information book to find other less traveled hikes since it was a busy weekend on the Valley floor in Yosemite. It was pretty hot with record breaking heat in the Central Valley so the afternoons at the cabin were a bit warm but the evenings cooled down. Thank you.
