Overlooking Caspar Anchorage and the Mighty Pacific Ocean, just minutes north of the charming and historic town of Mendocino, sits a 4 Bedroom, 3.5 bath, 3400 SF home, we affectionately call Sea Ghost. And what a perfect location as well, for the Russian Gulch State Park and Point Cabrillo Lighthouse State Park are within easy walking distance and yet there is more, so much more!
Our home is just a few feet from the edge above a protected cove where recreation and peace, the surf and the wind make there subtle movements into your soul. Whether watching migrating whales, frolicking porpoise, seals floating on the water below, or pelicans in formation gliding inches above the water, Sea Ghost is a place to make memories for years to come. And the Osprey can seriously fish too!
Our home is spacious, comfortable and complete with loads of windows throughout, providing breath-taking views and ample natural light to entertain and relax by. We have a family room with a pool table, and large flat-screen TV, complete with Wi-Fi internet, Cable, DVD & streaming movies and TV shows. Additionally there is a separate living and dining room, 2 gas fireplaces for atmosphere and ambiance, an outdoor spa and an awesome “cook’s” kitchen, waiting for your lattes in the morning or wine pours in the late afternoon … yes, perhaps even a sumptuous gourmet meal, all with a view to come back to year after year!
Our home is Pet free, smoke free and thoroughly cleaned between guest stays. We offer discounts for longer stays, with early check-in and late check-out OK dependent upon guest scheduling.

This was our third year staying at the sea ghost and as usual we had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed making it our home for five days and four nights. Comfortable house. Only drawbacks were lack of window coverings in bedrooms and broken screens or lack of screens on slider doors.

It was a lovely home, very spacious and comfortable for 8 people. We all enjoyed our stay. The house never felt crowded, and the view was wonderful.
We did think that for the price, approximately $200/bedroom/night, that there should have been adequate toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap. We ran out of all three. Maybe you should warn your clients to bring there own!!

We spent 6 nights relaxing in this gorgeous home on the coast. Your views are stunning! The beach down the street is like a private beach for the neighborhood, hardly anyone there! The kitchen was well stocked and the home offered very comfortable seating in every room. The beds get a thumbs up for comfort by everyone in our family. The area is very peaceful with the sound of the ocean, lots of bird life, the plant life around the home is absolutely beautiful and the deer all around the area. We made use of the amenities included with this home, which was the pool table and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and at the perfect temperature for use. The house was very clean, which is a must for me! The home offers 1 TV in the family room where the pool table is. This home is not meant for laying in bed watching TV, although a second TV would have be nice for the teens to watch their own choice. I highly recommended this home. The owner is quick to respond and the home is priced nicely for all that is offered. The layout of the home is great! Your definitely not tripping over one another and can enjoy separate conversations. It’s a massive house with intended social areas. My daughter and I loved the gaming/ puzzle table where we spent all week conquering a massive bird puzzle!

The property was magnificent!
The VIEW, garden & hot tub was perfect.
We do a friend getaway to Mendocino each year and have stayed at many homes in the area…this one was one of the best stays for us. It was so spacious and comfortable. We really appreciated all of the kitchen items that they had. Plenty of things to make cooking easy. Pantry had tons of extra things from spices to oils which we really thought was helpful. Also the pool table and sauna was awesome. As I write this
I’m wishing I was back there now.

The home was bright, clean, and in a fantastic location. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 teens. We were pleasantly surprised by the well appointed kitchen. It was obvious that the owners spent a lot of time making the house both functional and comfortable for their guests.

We are 3 retired siblings, along with our spouses, and this property more than met our needs. It was clean with great views of the ocean. We liked its' location being between Mendocino and Fort Bragg for close by activities and restaurants. The property manager, Ian, was responsive in communicating with us. We also enjoyed seeing the many deer in the neighborhood.

This was a wonderful property to stay at for a short wedding weekend. The house was immaculate and well-stocked with more space than we anticipated. We had a busy weekend so didn't use all the amenities provided but I can't think of anything that was missing from kitchenware to entertainment. I would absolutely recommend the place and the owner was very accommodating when some minor booking challenges arose. Great place to rest and relax.

This was a lovely place for a family gathering, with a view of the inlet and ocean. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and there were lots of different spaces for us to hang out, with multiple tables for games and eating, pool table, and outdoor hot tub!

Communication: Ian (property owner) was very flexible, engaging and responsive throughout the whole rental process.
Accommodations: The house was stunning. It’s even better than the pictures in my opinion. When we walked in and saw the view it was jaw dropping (and we live on the coast so…that’s saying something). It was very clean and comfortable.
Location: remote enough to feel tranquil but still close to both Mendocino and Fort Bragg (right in between). It was about an 8 minute (easy) drive from house to downtown Mendocino.
Other: FULLY stocked house. I brought a large container of things from home to decorate the dining room table for my Mom’s 70th Birthday celebration. However, I really didn’t need to because they have everything! Placemats, nice dishes, pretty goblets, matching silverware, candles. They have a huge pantry, tons of cabinets filled with all the utensils, pans, Pyrex, mixing bowls etc. They have books, games, sonos speakers to play your music, binoculars, a pool table…they just have everything.
We used the hot tub even though it was dreary outside and it was lovely. Beach towels were ready for us in the house by the door to hot tub. So nice. We didn’t get to use the sauna (too busy) but it looked great.
The house was a little above my initial desired price range because there were only 4 of us but it was WORTH IT and it was for a special occasion. Honestly, I would do it again for a regular getaway…it was just so pretty. Can’t say enough - I hope to be able to visit again someday.

We had a great stay at this beautiful property called the Sea Ghost. Wonderful location near the towns of Mendocino and Fort Bragg. The house was comfortable with awesome views, a hot tub and sauna! Great amenities-stocked with all your needs-especially the kitchen! The beds were comfy. Would love to rent this property again! Loved walking around the nearby trails and the beach cove. Found some treasures beach combing for sea glass!

We loved our vacation at Sea Ghost. The property was immaculate. The kitchen was better than any other rental property we've stayed in - pots, pans and knives in great condition, plenty of serving platters, utensils, plates, glasses, etc. Bountiful counter space. Though we were only a family of four people, the house easily could have fit another family. with plenty of room to spare. We loved having our own spaces. The view is incredible, and we all enjoyed playing pool. Halfway between Mendocino and Fort Bragg, everything is within an easy driving distance. Thank you!

The accommodations provided at this beautiful home far surpassed our expectations and everything you could possibly need was provided. Alot of heart went into every comfort you could possibly require......we have rented homes all over the world and Sea Ghost certainly set a new standard in providing the best in regards to comfort as well as basic kitchen staples. Fantastic stay in Casper!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home in Casper. The views were spectacular and the home had amazing amenities (hot tub, pool table, comfortable den and TV room, fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, and much more). We loved taking the extremely short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the park area around the corner from the house to watch a colony of sea lions, frolicking seals, and to see spectacular sea views. We would definitely love to stay at this house again if we have the opportunity!

The home was very well appointed with all you need to enjoy your vacation. The location was convenient and it was enjoyable watching the birds ride the currents and the seals squawking and the sky change color through the day. We thank the owners for sharing their home with us.

Granduer and Simplicity
Nestled in a quiet corner of this magnificent coastline, Sea Ghost provides comfort and spaciousness. We were just two of us staying there and we felt pampered by the easyness of the home and completly captivated by the grand views and spectacular setting. The serenity envelopes you immedialtly. The house has everything we needed. We loved the spacious, well-equipped kitchen. The hot tub and sauna were such a treat. Comfortable bed with a view that seeped into your dreams. The landscaping is gorgeous; worthy of the nearby Mendocino Botanical Gardens. Beautiful plants and scultpures that reflect the surroundings. The house is archtecturally interesting, offering unobstructed sweeping views with lots of cozy corners to enjoy the comforts of home. Nearby walks on bluffs with spectacular views (no whales for us that time of year!). We loved every minute of oiur stay and are dreaming of when we can return, perhaps with some family or friends in tow!

Beautiful Sea Ghost!
Sea Ghost is a beautiful property and we had a super fun stay! Several beaches nearby that the little ones loved. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, cable channels and large tv for the sports fans, and outside was really quiet and serene. The pool table could probably use a bit of a makeover, but we had a rowdy time beating each other. Just the perfect place for a multi-generational family weekend!
