Overall, we definitely enjoyed our stay and liked the room and property. The room is spacious and has a great bed. We had the family suite with two beds and a bathroom upstairs from the master with bathroom downstairs. The wifi was a bit spotty, but we were not needing it too much.
They have a couple of tubes you can borrow to float on the river right behind the property. Just walk upstream a bit, get in, and float the "rapids" back. Very fun.
There is an infinity pool which we enjoyed lounging in.
The property is a bit off the beaten path. The car got quite dusty after several trips back and forth on the rough dirt road.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mahogany Hall. They were so friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious. They made sure that we were able to eat before our tours in the morning and even prepared our dinner a little early on the day of our arrival because we had not eaten. Cant say enough, it was so wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The room was very nice and clean. The location along the river made for a relaxing stay.
The bar are made excellent meals. The staff was extremely helpful in helping us plan a day trip for zip lining and cave tubing.
If we ever get the opportunity to return to Belize we will stay here again.

We wanted to visit different parts of Belize and this did not disappoint! In fact, we werent quite sure what to expect and were more than pleasantly surprised with the hotel, the amazing food, beautifully made drinks and the wonderful staff!! Mrs. Marsha is happy to help with planning excursions and pretty much any questions you have, Jose made masterpieces of frozen drinks for myself and my kiddos and was always ready with a towel or available to answer questions. All of the other members of the team were friendly and always happy to help or share a story! Even though the river was too high to enjoy a tube ride, we did the atv excusion and ATM caves with kids, amazing job by Edwin referred to by hotel, a pure gentleman and full of knowledge about Belize! We hope to one day return and are so thankful to have stumbled on tbis gem!!

We enjoyed our 4 night stay. The rooms where lovely and very clean. The beds were very confy which is important. We loved the special touches with the flowers in the rooms. There is no fridge in the rooms but they do provide a coffee maker plus coffee, tea, sugar and creamer. Also, there is drinking water in the hallways.
We had two dinners at the restaurant at Mahanogany Hall. The food was great and it was great having the option to eat there. There was a great deal of rain during our stay. It did not decrease our enjoyment of our stay or the area. We will stay again if we return to the area. The family suite is a great setup for faimiles. Love the staff they are wonderful!!!!

Quaint bed and breakfast-ish place. Very accommodating for early breakfast before excursions, easy to order the evening before on what’s app.

Lovely place, wonderful staff, very clean, good location—listen to the river outside your room window and enjoy the rainforest type foliage.

From being greeted upon our arrival, to customization of meals, this hotel was a perfect choice for our family. The family suite gave us togetherness and privacy.

We loved the place. It was right on the river and the decor was beautiful. It was very peaceful and the people who checked us in and waited on us at the bar and for meals were all very friendly.

We loved our stay!
Mahogany Hall is such a beautiful place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
First, communication prior to and during our stay was excellent.
Location is good! Keep in mind, this property is off the beaten path. It takes about 10 minutes to drive from San Ignacio, and a short part of the drive is on unpaved road. But once you are there, it is gorgeous, right on the river. There are no restaurants and only a couple very small stores in Tree Bullet Falls. This location was a great base for area activities--we went to the ATM and Tikal--our tour guide for ATM picked us up right at Mahogany Hall.
We stayed in the family suite, which is 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, absolutely beautiful, very clean, lovely view of the river. We had a great time tubing on the river (tubes are provided) to cool down in the afternoons.
While none of the meals are included in the price, we were very happy with the breakfasts, dinners, and drinks that we ordered--they have a flexible menu and the cooking was delightful.
The wifi at Mahogany Hall is not great, but hopefully you will be on vacation and that won't matter too much.
We would absolutely stay at Mahogany Hall again!

Great stay!
We enjoyed a great stay at Mohagany Hall. Our family had the suite which suited our needs perfectly. Our rooms were clean & well cared for. Jose, the evening bartender and server and Jeidy, the morning server were friendly and helpful. The location of this home is on the river with a pretty view and easy access to the water and a quick taxi ride in to town. Thanks for a great stay!

I highly recommend
It’s perfectly placed out of the way but not far enough to be inconvenient and just off the river so there’s perfect background noise from the running water. The employees there are all wonderful and the food there is outstanding. The rooms are comfortable and welcoming with air conditioning (we actually opted to leave the doors open and let the night air and noises in). I will definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to San Ignacio and will stay again if I make it back.

Super nice place and the staff was great.
Thank you Marcia for helping us set up all our trips. Jose was a great bar host and Maria took care of all our meal service. We truly enjoyed our stay. Wonderful setting. San Ignacio is a great town. We visited some very nice restraunts. Cravings and a couple others recommended by the staff. The food at Mahogany was great as well.

The location of the property is excellent, right next to the river which you can swim and tube in. The food at Mahogony Hall was delicious, recommend eating there at least once. Thanks for a great stay at Mahogony Hall. The location was wonderful, being right next to the river was brilliant.

“Mahogany Hall exceeded our expectations. The rooms were even better then pictured. The bar and food were delicious. The staff José and Ian were so friendly, helpful and attentive. We stayed for two nights, we ended up canceling our excursion and playing in the river all day. The hall had inner tubes for our use. We walked up the road and floated down. We had a delightful time and will definitely visit again.”

Unique and lovely property
Our group of 6 (2 parents, 3 children ages 4-14, and Grandma) had a great stay at Mahogany Hall. The property itself is striking and very unusual, from the architecture to the riverside location. The rooms are beautifully furnished with great views.
The staff at the property are wonderful. Jose and Ian were attentive to us the entire time. We had the impression the staff at this remote location were all very nice people, giving the place an intimate and family feel overall.
We used the restaurant for dinner almost all nights we were there. The restaurant is very small and only served guests the entire time we were there. The private al fresco dining experience was a real treat. That said, San Ignacio has a surprisingly good selection of restaurants and we ate at Guava Limb our first night which was a great spot.
My kids really enjoyed swimming in the river right outside our door, including playing in the rapids with the tubes provided by the hotel. Local kids were in the river each afternoon and they taught my kids where to jump in the rapids to ride without a tube! It was a nice experience.
A word to US travelers who may be visitin a non-US location for the first time- the hotel is located down a bumpy street lined with homes of local Belizians. On approaching the place it could instill a little culture shock. But don't be worried- this beautiful place with its warm staff will charm you- guaranteed!

The rooms and grounds are beautiful. The food and drinks leavie something to be desired.
The rooms, pool, and grounds are beautiful and clean. The food is terrible and expensive compared to other restaurants in San Ignacio, including the Running W at the San Ignacio hotel. The drinks are expensive and aren’t worth the price tag. The road connecting the hotel to the main road is very rough with huge potholes.
It is a beautiful, secluded hotel, but I would not plan to eat or drink there.

Beautiful river-side, boutique hotel at gateway to Mayan Ruins and ecotourism
Mahogany Hall is a beautiful 8 guest room boutique hotel in a secluded space along the Mopan River, just outside of San Ignacio. We stayed in the family suite which is a connected second and third floor suite of rooms that was perfect for our family of 7. It is a perfect gateway to activities in the Cayo district (e.g., Mayan Ruins, Cave Tubing, Ziplining, etc.) and Guatamala (e.g., Tikal). The food was excellent. Just had to tell them the time you wanted and pick from the choices before you left in the am, and an amazing meal was waiting when you got back. Small size of hotel made for very intimate dining, with only one or two other groups. River swimming is fun, but current can be strong. Pool is a nice alternative.

A Gem in the Jungle
We arrive and Jose is there to meet you with his special cocktail to start your stay. You sit on the deck overlooking the Mopan river and rapids which we later ride on the tubes provided. An excellent adventure! The fully stocked bar with Belikin beer and an incredible cafe for the guests. First night we had lobster tails and chicken topped with a fresh mango sauce. It was like you were staying at your own personal resort. The staff was attentive and friendly and made you feel incredibly welcome. Spectacular stay. A short ride to the ATM caves and ruins. Both a must. The Cayo district is a must see.
