Our stay at GrandView was solid. The cabin/house had everything we needed. The hosts provided everything needed in the kitchen, the beds/bedding were good quality and the porch views were beyond.
The ease of access to Capitol Reef was great - and the lil town of Torrey had a great little general store and ice cream shop that was top notch.

This house had the most awesome 360 degree view of the surroundings that I have ever seen. There were a few things like no AC or dishwasher that we noticed less because the view was so spectacular. There was a large fan that kept the front part of the house well-ventilated, and a passing storm during one night cooled us all tremendously. We enjoyed the house very much.

We had a wonderful time! House was great with lots of room to sleep. Stocked well and can’t be the night sky. Would definitely stay here again. Awesome communication and garage parking is extremely nice.

This home is designed for relaxation- not incredibly fancy but with lots of attributes that allow one to relax, sink into the surroundings and rejuvenate. Very well appointed for gathering, cooking and enjoying each other's company. Highly recommend and, if life allows, will come back myself.

My family and I stayed in this "cabin" in early June 2024. My kids (10 and 13), and my wife and I, loved every minute of it.
After the hubbub of people in both Moab and Zion it was amazing to be able to sit back and enjoy the sound of the wind whistling through the pines while enjoying a beautiful view all around you. The cabin was well stocked to the point you felt like you were staying at a friend's place. My kids are already asking when we will go back.

Of our three weeks in southern Utah, our final 2 days at this property were the best. The home is spacious, comfortable and has a well appointed kitchen. There are places to sit inside and out and enjoy the amazing views. The hosts were easy to communicate with and we were extremely pleased with our experience.

Perfect for 2 couples, didn’t need the 3rd bdrm. Great location for visiting Capital Reef. Cozy comfortable great room, decks everywhere to view the stars and sunset. Wood burning stove was awesome. The grill was super clean and worked great! The hosts were super responsive, we’d love to come back!

The location, the views, the property (old school feel home) and the access to Capitol Reef was outstanding. We had 6 adults and one teen and we all had plenty of room to eat, relax, celebrate Easter with a killer egg hunt on the property, and incredible hiking. Coming back again in the future.

We, family of four from the Netherlands, had a fantastic time. The house is beautifully located. The views of the mountains of Capital Reef are breathtaking. The house is big, very well kept and a nice kitchen with a full pantry if needed. In the garden (or on the deck) one can explore, spot birds, hummingbirds, lizards and rabbits.. and stars!
Within 5 minutes drive one can visit Torrey with a few lovely shops, a grocerie store and places to dine. In 10 miles is visitor center of Capitol Reef. Lots of exploring, hiking to do or a visit to Fruita for a lovely pie.
We rented this home 5 years ago as well and hopefully be able to rent it again in the future. So.. We can highly recommend this house and area to stay!

We loved our stay in Grandview over Capitol Reef! The house is beautiful and architecturally interesting, with gorgeous new hardwood floors. It sits in a small neighborhood just outside "downtown" Torrey, on a bluff overlooking a creek on one side, and the red cliffs of Capitol Reef on the other. It is a short drive to many hikes in the park (hike Cohob Canyon!), as well as good food and drinks in town. Best of all is the porch, where you can sit and watch sunrise over the Reef or have a post-hike beer while Rufous hummingbirds battle over the rights to the nectar feeder. Highly recommend!

The home was very comfortable and well equipped. Good internet connection allowed us to watch our Youtube TV . The vistas around the house are beautiful. Garage access was a real plus the day a winter storm came through. We used the washer and dryer to do laundry.
The national park is only a few minutes drive.
Highly Recommend

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Torrey house, and the views of Capitol Reef and the surrounding areas were every bit as beautiful as promised. It wasn’t apparent from the listing that the layout of the house is a little unconventional. The second bedroom (with 2 double beds) is just off the garage, and to get to the rest of the house (and the bathroom) you walked down a hall and through the laundry room. The third bedroom is upstairs, while both bathrooms are downstairs. Also, out visit coincided with the start of cooler weather (highs in low 50s and lows in the high 20s) and the electric baseboard heat couldn’t get the downstairs any warmer than about 68 degrees. A fire in the wood stove would probably have helped.

The house was perfect for our family of as it gave us plenty of room to spread out after small one room cabins at Bryce and Zion. No tv but that was a plus for us. We had some great family games of scrabble each evening. Jill was great to communicate with. Always responsive and and provided some great info on Capital Reef hikes.

You will love it here. The cabin is much more than an cabin. Very large living room and kitchen with a great deck that looks right at Capital Reef NP. The hosts are great and were quick to respond to any question we had. Gave us great suggestions on must see hikes and road trips. We cooked in and pantry and kitchen is well stocked. We hope to return.

Very nice home in a great location. Torrey is a neat little town with lots of good local food options. Property does not have AC but the breeze is constant enough that it really didn't matter.

We enjoyed our stay in Torrey
Watched sunrise with coffee on deck. The home had everything we needed. We were gone all day touring so liked getting back each night.
Torrey has good places to eat also.
Worked very well for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the property. So much so that we did not want to leave to visit the park. The views are incredible. The house was the most well provisioned VRBO we have ever stayed at. The beds were comfortable & we loved having access to the garage door opener. Can’t wait to make it back one day!

Beautiful home in Torrey, great location, views and no neighbors close. Like staying at a friends home. Wind was a bit rough the last night but you can’t control the weather. Dark skies were great.

What a comfortable home perched on a hill with magnificent views from the windows on three sides! Open floor plan, spacious bedrooms and everything you need in the kitchen and pantry. Decent little grocery store and great burger food truck in Torrey. Convenient location to scenic drive at Capital Reef and hikes in the park. And the pies at the farm in the Cap Reef park are as good as homemade! Thanks for a clean and comfortable stay.

Beautiful home on 5 acres of land with fantastic views. Clean, comfortable, convenient. Loved all the wood & windows, so pretty & such great vistas. Such a nice home you wonder why you are spending so much time away from it hiking (though Capital Reef is really great to see!). Be sure to go outside & see the so many stars if the weather is clear! Everything worked great, beds were comfortable, kitchen is well equipped-knives that actually worked!! (one of my bugaboos about vrbos is that the knives are usually cheap & terrible). Nice appliances-better than I have at home. We're not TV watchers so we didn't even notice until our 3rd night that there was no TV! Wifi worked great. We've stayed at lots of vrbos from Hawaii to Maine & this is the 1st time we've been allowed/invited to park in the garage & given a garage door opener. Made loading & unloading the car easy & we appreciated not having to scrape the frost off the windows in the cold mornings. House is an easy 15-20 min drive to Capital Reef NP, depending on where in the park you're going to. I always appreciate when owners check in while we are staying at a vrbo, which Jill & Kevin did. A suggestion is to stock up on groceries before you get here though. There is a small & for what it is, decent store in town but very limited selection & since this is the off season, several of the few restaurants in the area were closed for the season. Even the grocery store in Bryce Canyon City had more in the way of produce & such. Even better was the grocery store in Springdale & if you're coming up from Las Vegas doing the "grand circle" as we were, I would stop at an Albertson's or such & stock up on staples. Definitely recommend this place, it's a gem!

We spent 6 days at this property and were so pleased. The house was very clean and really well supplied with everything we needed and more. The area is so quiet and peaceful. No other houses close by. The new hardwood floors and the deck are beautiful. We enjoyed the woodstove in the evenings when it was chilly. We hope to come back in the spring! This one-of-a-kind property is a destination in itself for a family or individuals. We positively loved our four days there! Comfortable, commodious shared spaces and a beautiful wrap-around deck with expansive views of valley and nearby red rocks invite spending time together or alone. We honestly cannot overstate the tranquility and beauty of the place. It was the perfect base for our daily exploration, hikes and drives. My husband, adult son and daughter-in-law all wished they had reserved time to simply stay put to enjoy this very special spot. Next time, we will plan a week! Thank you for the memories your home has given us.

BETTER THAN 5 STARS
We enjoyed this lovely home very much during the 6 days we stayed there. The living room has windows on 3 sides, with spectacular views. We enjoyed the fireplace immensely. We were blessed with a 4-5" snow, while there and actually enjoyed being homebound for a day. The beds are good. We appreciated the stocked pantry. VERY responsive hostess when we had questions.
