About this apartment rental
Casa Que Ve Al Mar means 'The House That Overlooks the Sea' and with spectacular views of the beach, the bay, the open ocean, the Sierra Madre mountains, and the true blue sky, you will know you've arrived in paradise!
Casa d'Arte, is one of the most sought-after condos at La Casa Que Ve Al Mar because it is totally romantic, totally magical, and totally unique. It's high up on the 7th floor of the premier front building and at 1900 sq. ft, it is one of the very largest in the complex. You will have completely unobstructed views in 3 directions from our spacious 500 sq. ft. terazza as well as glorious ocean views from the living room, master bedroom, and elsewhere. Relax and watch the waves roll in!
The, plant-filled terrace at Casa d'Arte is a highlight of this special home and where you may spend most of your time - a perfect place for a lazy breakfast or a sunset drink, or for blissfully watching the ocean and enjoying the breeze. But the romance does not end there! Exquisite designer touches throughout Casa d'Arte create an atmosphere of serene beauty and elegance. There are two whimsical bedrooms (the Wave Room and the Jungle Room), a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, and an inviting dining area with a playful fountain.
We're located in the middle of Zihuatanejo's fabled Playa La Ropa, one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet, so we're only a short walk from the beach, numerous restaurants, bars, and other attractions. You can make your vacation as relaxing or as active as you like - the choices are yours!
If you can pull yourself out of your hammock, there are numerous activities within walking distance or a short bus or taxi ride away. There are other sleepy beaches where you can unwind far from the crowds but you can also enjoy fine dining, sunset cruises, shopping, dancing, spas, tennis, golf, yoga, artisan markets, horseback riding, traditional cultural shows, world-class fishing, surfing, and so much more! The modern resort of Ixtapa is just five kilometers to the north, the Zihua/Ixtapa Airport about the same distance to the south.
For your convenience there is maid service, and wireless Internet. For your comfort there are ceiling fans as well as state-of-the-art air conditioning and for your enjoyment there is a flat-screen TV, CD sound system and the fabulous ever-changing panoramic vista - featuring nightly sunsets! The gated Casa Que Ve Al Mar complex has two gorgeous infinity pools, 24-hour security, parking, and quick walking access to Playa la Ropa.

My hubby and I got the chance to stay at this beautiful condo for a week! The view was perfection and we loved the decor of the condo-very unique! Everyone at the property was so friendly and helpful-we will definitely be back soon!

We experienced some issues which Dulce the property manager tried desperately to rectify.
The washer was broken for the whole 3 weeks which was a pain and I think there was 3 or 4 different repairman to look at it but what was needed was a brand new unit . We were able to send laundry out or have the use of another but very inconvenient. The living room a/c had no remote so we had to get an electrician in to set it so we could turn on manually and after a few days we had a new remote. Many of the glasses and dishes were cracked and we threw them out and Dulce got us some new ones. Our friends who stayed in the 2nd bedroom did not like the wooden structure over the bed with some hanging thing that clanged in the night- it was spooky.
We lived on the patio which was enormous and ate all our meals out there, the views were stunning, the pools were great, we walked to the beach everyday but the hike back up was a bit tough. The floors in the complete condo were very cool with the intricate designs.
With a little TLC this would be 5 star so really the onus is on the owner to spruce it up.
Staff were great- Dulce, Basilia the cleaning lady was very sweet, Veronica our chef is excellent and Mario and the other guards are very attentive.
A great 3 weeks with fantastic weather and with a few tweaks this would have been really great

Casa d'Arte is a fantastic space. The 2 bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen has enough equipment for breakfasts and simple dinners. But the star of the condo is the balcony. The 4 of us (2 couples) had plenty of space, and lived on the balcony when we weren't on the beach.
As others note, the condo is on top of a steep (!) hill -- the stairs might be a better option than the driveway. But a dunk in 1 of the 2 pools made a great reward after climbing back up from a day at the beach.
Harriet provided lots (!) of pre-arrival info, and the guards (gracias, Ruben) were very helpful for odds & ends (agua potable...). We love Zihua, and Casa d'Arte is definitely a great home base that we hope to return to.

Overall a great place to stay. Views of the bay are great. Unfortunately there was a red tide issue which made La Ropa a bit murky during our stay. We interacted most with the security guards, who were great, by stopping for a rest at the guard station, which was halfway up the hill. We ended up giving the night guard, Mario, our leftovers, which he said he enjoyed after his shift. My companion spoke Spanish to him. Best beaches for swimming and snorkeling by far are at Isle Ixtapa. Although everyone offered to call a taxi for us when we left the property, we either walked or waved down a minibus on the street. It is a great transportation system which costs 13 pesos (about 75 cents) for a ride into town center.

It's really a toss-up as to which we enjoyed more... the gorgeous view of Zihua Bay from the huge outdoor terrace, or just how comfortable it was inside Casa d'Arte. The décor was so colorful and fun. The colorful flowers all around the grounds and balconies made the trip really special.
It was so convenient to be able to walk to Playa de Ropa. Even the steep walk back was fine to work off a margarita or two.
It was super convenient and fun (not to mention cheap!) to catch the little public transportation bus to go to el centro.
Harriett provided such great and extensive information before the trip. Kudos!
Overall, I highly recommend this place; we will be back again!

Allison and I thoroughly enjoyed your home. It had everything that was required to make our vacation very enjoyable. The view was spectacular and we loved our coffee and meals on the balcony with the sea breezes blowing through. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and great patio furniture. The complex is a hillside with a short (but steep) walk to and from the fantastic beach. The resident Owners were very friendly and accommodating. We will be back. Thank you again. Allison and Gord

We had a fabulous 4 week stay at Casa d’Arte - in the beautiful Casa Que Ve Al Mar condo complex. CQVM has one of the best locations in Zihua - on the hillside above La Ropa beach, with amazing views of the whole bay. We had stayed before, and we love the location, the pools, and the views. The staff are amazing - Dulce, all the security staff and groundskeepers do a great job, and are all extremely friendly and helpful. Check in was easy.
Unit manager Harriet provides a condo unit guide and a Zihuatanejo guide so everything is very clear - there is a lot of useful information in both guides. The unit itself is located in the front building (building A) and has one of the best views in the complex from its very large terrace/balcony with comfy furniture. One of our favourite things to do was to have morning coffee there while listening to the chachalaca birds.
The condo’s decor is very artistic and whimsical. The unit was very well stocked - with tissue, toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap, napkins, baggies and Mycrodyn for washing fruits and vegetables. There is a stove top and microwave, toaster and blender, but no oven or dishwasher - which didn’t bother us at all. The coffeemaker has a permanent filter; the washer and dryer worked well. There are lots of towels and we found the beds very comfortable. Bacilia came twice a week to clean and was a sweetheart.
There are A/C units in each bedroom as well as one on the wall in the dining area (we mainly used the bedroom units at night - they worked great.) There are so many great and inexpensive restaurants in Zihua that we ate out every night. There was a small BBQ on the deck with a full propane tank but we never used it - too many delicious dinner options nearby!
There are two pools and though not huge, neither were ever crowded. Most guests stay for a minimum of a week - sometimes 3 or 4 and some having been coming for years and stay for 6-8 weeks. We’ve only been twice, but still saw some of our “pool friends” from previous visits!
Checking out was easy and Dulce kept our luggage safe for us in the storage area until it was time to cab to the airport. Zihua is truly beautiful and Casa que ve is amazing - we highly recommend it!

This was our 4th stay at La Casa Que Ve al Mar, but our first at Casa d'Arte. We had a wonderful stay! The condo is eclectic and artsy, but beautiful! The deck is huge and gets great afternoon sun (which we LOVE), with a table, plenty of patio chairs, 2 loungers, a great double hammock. We've never stayed at a more well-appointed condo, as far as it being stocked with EVERYTHING we could possibly need, and so much more! Plus access to nearly every cupboard, closet and storage! The washing machine was a nice plus for our extended stay!
I really feel this listing could benefit greatly by updating the pictures. The listing pics really don't do it justice.
Harriet was quick to respond with booking and check-in information. Bacilia (housekeeper) was excellent and thorough. And Dulce (concierge) is as sweet as she is helpful and accommodating.
We didn't want or need for anything during our stay, and would definitely stay here again!

Very nice property. Lots of long term renters. Pool area is very quiet.

The only reason we didn't give this place a 5 is the inclines and declines coming and going to the condo. We're not spring chickens so this was a little rough. Excellent restaurants near the condo and a $4 taxi to Centro. The 2 edge pools were a perfect temp and never crowded. The condo supplies a water jug so you don't have to drag bottled water from the stores. Wonderful people available 24 x 7 if you ever need any assistance. Bathrooms could use some updating, but for the price it's a great bargain! Compare it to the prices of the hotels on the beach.

As always Dulce is here to meet all your needs, the cleaning ladies work so hard and are so sweet everything again this year was perfect . My granddaughter and I went fishing and she brought home a 91 in sail fish which she had mounted. Thank goodness just that one and not the other five she caught. This month was a very relaxing trip , the owners, renters and the towns people are fabulous. Merry Christmas to all

Blissful getaway!
This was our 4th time staying at this amazing complex and the 3rd in this particular unit. The view is breathtaking every single day. We loved enjoying or meals on the terrace as well as hours of reading in the hammock!
The unit has everything you need! So many extra (high quality) towels and sheets! The kitchen was perfectly stocked for cooking as we ate in often. I have nothing bad to say about our stay. The staff at the complex is incredibly helpful and friendly. We spent most days between the pool and our terrace. The pool was never over-crowded and we always had chairs.
We had great breakfasts at Loot (right down the hill) and wonderful dinners at both Sixtino's and El Manglar. We also enjoyed a delicious wood-fired pizza and cold crevasses at Jungle Pizza! We are already planning our return! Thank you Zihua:)

Relaxing, beautiful, a "come back"
This is our third stay at Casa d'Arte - a beautiful condo set up high overlooking Zihu bay. Our view from our large balcony is spectacular. We never grow tired or sitting and just hearing the waves and watching the beautiful sunsets from our balcony.
The condo is tastefully and artfully done with beautiful floors, nice living spaces and comfortable beds. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, coffee maker, blender and all the utensils and items you would need to make meals in or heat up left overs from the fabulous places to eat in Zihua.
Like I said it is a "come back" to place and we intend to do that again in 2018!

Quiet, peaceful serenity in beautiful surroudings
Casa d'Arte has many interesting details that make it an extraordinary vacation experience. The use of wood and Mexican art really makes it a rich and welcoming environment. The terrace is welcoming and allows repose amidst spectacular views. Very comfortable beds, friendly staff in the complex, really I just can't wait to book again.

Beautiful views. Amazing deck
Nice 2 bedroom condo with stunning views of La Ropa beach. Kitchen is nice, but no oven. They did have a bar-b-que in the deck so that made meal prep easier. Lack of good water pressure makes showering a challenge. Would definitely stay here again.

It was Amazing! Awesome view, Loved La Ropa Beach!
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa d'Arte! The view was wonderful. It was an awesome vacation with our famiy, beautiful, comfortable, & convient to the most wonderful beach! The walk down was quick and easy, the beach is welcoming with lots of good food and vendors. The walk back up the hill was challenging but it helped me to work off all the nummy food we ate while we were there! We didn't rent a car, we just used the taxi service, which it was quick & easy. Harriett left an awesome guide which was very helpful as well. We loved it so much! We definitely want to go back and hopefully stay a little longer! Thanks so much!

Casa Beautiful View
As a seasoned Mexican snowbird, this is one of my most favorite locations and my first time stay in Zihuatenejo. The property is absolutely lovely and inviting, staff wonderful And the Casa d' Arte so very nice. I spent the majority of my time on patio however because of the incredible view of the bay. The bed in back bedroom gave me the wilies. For senior citizens hard to maneuver around tree trunks in the dark of night in cramped quarters. Both bathrooms could use better lighting. The décor and artwork was absolutely delightful, always something new to discover. The casa was about perfect for two couples. Wonderful place to stay, would recommend and return.

If view is important, this is the place.
And, of course, the view is always a top requirement. This one will take your breath away. If you just want to stay home for a day, you can be entertained just by being on the terrace or spending a few hours by the pool, also with a wonderful view of the bay. The unit is spacious and well maintained with a concierge who responds to all requests within minutes.
Although not far from the beach, the hill is extreme so if you're older you will have to rely on taxis. They arrive, though, within minutes and are cheap.

Premier location
Lovely unit with a million dollar view, high above the wonderful La Ropa beach. The complex is very well maintained and even a day spent by the pool is delightful. The concierge and the rest of the staff are very attentive; we even met several of the owner neighbors who are very nice people.
If you don't want to walk down the steep hill to the beach a cab arrives in less than 2 minutes and will take you anywhere for 50 pesos, about $2.50 US. We used them a lot. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Casa d'Arte is a fantastic complex!
A beautiful and spacious 2 bedroom condo. A large patio with great views of the beach and bay. The furnishings are comfortable . Kitchen is well supplied with dishes, etc. The infinity pools are beautiful and a great place to meet people from the complex. The beach and several restaurants are within reasonable walking distance and the town easily accessible by taxi. The property managers Eliezer and Dolce were always very helpful. Maid device was was very good. The driveway to the complex is steep and quite long; that is why the view from the condo is terrific! Anyone with a walking impediment has to take a taxi, at reasonable cost, to get to and from the complex. We have visited thee locations in Mexico. This was our first time in Zihuatanejo; it is by far our favorite!
