About this house rental
This is house is something we really love and made for our family. A place nearby Rome where to slow down time and have excellent relax without having to travel far away. We are an expat family that lived around the world, anyway wherever we will move in the future we will always keep this house as our little treasure.
It has the typical features of old medieval townhouses with the comfort of the modern times. It is organised on four levels connected by stairs: On the ground floor you'll enter in the cosy living room with fireplace and open kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and stove, on the 1st floor there is a comfortable master bedroom with queen-size bed and a mix of antique and modern furniture, the functional bathroom with his own huge shower, the washing machine is also a dryer and is located in his own lawndry wardrobe, on the 2nd floor there is the "mansarda", that is set up as studio with a desk, an armchair, a comfy single bed that might be turned in to a queen bed. In the mansarda we even created an extra sink with cold and hot water for your comfort. There is also the possibility to install an hammock between wooden beams. From the mansarda through a robust wooden ladder and a roof hatch you can reach the terrace overlooking the old town and the lake where you have a sun-bed, armchair, dining table for four and BBQ, a parasol as well as a small water fountain, a small light and AC plug.

The place was cute and it met our needs for my family of four. I was a little disappointed in the air conditioning because it was really just one unit on the third floor so it didn’t do much for the rest of the home. The ceiling fans were very helpful and the windows open at night made a huge difference. The lake makes it kind of chilly at night so I understand not really needing much air conditioning. The host gave us a lot of help with the area and things to do and was very easy to reach which was very helpful. The town itself was SUPER cute. Over all I would say it is a very rustic townhouse.

Charming and wonderful home in the old town with a gorgeous terrace view of the lake. Property owner and manager are kind, receptive, and responsive. A lovely stay in Anguillara.

This little home made our trip to Anguilla comfortable. It is perfectly situated in the old town - just ideal for exploration, dining and photography. The stairs are steep and the rooftop is a challenge to reach …. But so worth the effort. The views from up top are amazing, the perfect perspective for a sunset and a bottle of vino. The kitchen area is small but with so many superior dining options in the town we felt little need to do much cooking for ourselves other than preparing charcuterie and wine. Although we did not meet the owner in person, he was just excellent in responding to our questions in a timely manner. All in all - a unique and positive experience. Thanks for a lovely visit Francesco!

Simply amazing
The house is so beautiful and located in the old part of this charming little town (or village), with a few minutes walk to the lake, tasty food all around and the terrace at the roof top of the house is breath taking. Francesco is also a friendly and helpful host.
Over all, a great place for vacation and we will come there back as soon as we can :)

Superb stay in the heart of Anguillara Sabazia
- Friendly and helpful host with quick communication.
- Great views of the lake from the rooftop terrace.
- The location was excellent, close to restaurants, supermarket, lake etc.
- Air conditioning and large ceiling fans kept us cool at night in the August heat.
- We stayed 4 nights (with kids 8yrs and 11yrs) and would love to come back again for a similar stay.

Wonderful location in a beautifull city
This was a comfortable, perfect spot for exploring. You could walk to the lake and to many great restaurants with views around every corner. Francesco kindly provided a welcome bottle of wine, as well as beach towels, a beach umbrella and a wealth of information regarding the area. Thank you Francesco.

Viel Ruhe
Eine sehr schöne Dachterrasse
Schöne Landschaft, viele Ausflugsziele
Eine ordentliche Anbindung durch öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
Einkaufen, Bar und Restaurants fußläufig
Mitbringen sollte man etwas Kondition und gute Schuhe

We couldnt have had a better stay in Anguillara. The house was absolutely perfect. It had everything we needed, and Francesco was brilliant and always on hand to give us any information we needed on Anguillara, and also info on public transport when we went into Rome. The town is beautiful, so much more than I imagined it would be. And where the house is, is just the most quaint and beautiful area. The view from the rooftop was just spectacular. We sat up there with our cheese and wine and watched the sunset. As I said, it was absolute bliss!

Charismatisches Feriendomizil

The most amazing home, host and area! SPECIAL!
We stayed in MyCosyRetreatInAnguillara in the middle of January, but even in the midst of winter it was the most amazing vacation! Anguillara is a beautiful, old Italian town and the hospitality of its inhabitants was exemplified in Francesco, who was the most amazing host! Even though we arrived late in the evening (we got lost), he greeted us at the house and introduced us to the local area and the restaurants nearby, which are all really nice. The area is incredibly rich in history, spectacular scenery and local cuisine and Francesco and his family was very kind to recommend different areas to visit. Again and again we were blown away by the effort Francesco made to give us a very special experience! Furthermore, the house is an incredibly charming old townhome where you can relax in the sofa in front of the fireplace with a glass of local wine – and not to mention the view from the rooftop terrace, that is absolutely breathtaking during sunrise and sunset!
If you love Italian history, cuisine and beautiful scenery this is the perfect place to visit and it’s close to Rome!
N.B. We recommend that you rent a car (and make sure to have a working GPS) to most effectively see the local area. There is free parking a couple minutes walking distance from the home. If you want to visit Rome, we recommend taking the train – please do note, that parking can be difficult around the train station if you arrive later in the day.

Amazing house and amazing host
The very charming city of Anguillara offers a wide range of restaurants and cozy cafes. The lake in walking distance from the house will satisfy any need for swimming and sunbathing. Deckchairs are available for rent on a daily basis as well as boards for windsurfing and padle boards. The area surrounding Anguillara are full of spots of interest both in regards to natural scenery and sites if historic interest. The house itself are fantastic, beautifully decorated and supplied with anything needed for a self catered vacation. Last but not least I have to mention Francesco an amazing host who offered advice on sight seeing and generally just cared for our well being in a nice and nonintrusive way. Thank you Francesco.
Ps ask Francesco about the family's wine production and you are in for a treat.
