We had a great time. Beautiful cabin, great location, and a park next to the property. Highly recommend!

This cottage was a perfect central point to many of the things we did in the Black Hills. We loved how it was near a park and we were able to sit on the porch while watching our kids play. It was also in walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The inside was clean, well stocked, and well taken care of. We felt right at home and would recommend this cottage for any looking for a place to stay in the Black Hills!

We appreciated our time at the cabin, having beds for all 6 of us, a working kitchen and close to town. The kids enjoyed the playground close by as well. The one thing I was a bit surprised by was a transformer station/electrical hub by the cabin. There’s a great big tree that blocks most of it, but wasn’t quite as “woodsy” as I had expected 😝. The hosts were very responsive and helpful for our trip.

The house was amazing. It was perfect for our family. Next to a creek and a park for the little kids. It has a feeling of being out in the woods, but still only a few blocks off a main street. Family dollar store is within walking distance for anything we forgot.
We would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Custer.

We planned a short stay in a few different towns as we drove across South Dakota, ending in Custer. This cottage was perfect for our two night stay and it was a short distance from everything we planned to see. The home had all the little things that we needed but didn’t pack for a road trip.

Property is in a great location. Lots of space for a family to stay and close to many amenities. The host was very responsive when we had questions and everything was very clean and comfortable.

We loved the cozy creekside cottage! It was the perfect location for all the great activities in the black hills. The bunk beds were a huge hit for my kids, and lovely they had their own rooms to make sleeping arrangements easy. The playground also made a great way for the kids to wind down inbetween sight seeing. They thought of everything in the cottage to make our stay so relaxing. We would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing stay at this property in Custer. The hosts were exceptionally easy to contact, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The bunk bed bedrooms, while a bit small, were a hit with the kids—they absolutely loved them! The kitchen was very well equipped, and we enjoyed fantastic coffee each morning.
One of the highlights was the playground in the public park right outside. It was fantastic to watch the kids play from the deck. The location is perfect—close to anywhere in Custer yet very quiet and peaceful. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we highly recommend it!

Custer was the perfect spot for us to see all the things the Black Hills has to offer. The cozy cabin was just the right size and had all the things we needed to cook, relax, and play. Favorite pieces of the house: the playground, the throw blankets, oscillating fan in each bedroom, the grill and carport. Top notch stay!

Cute little cottage with the perfect location! Close enough that Main Street Custer is within walking distance, but just enough removed from the main drag that it felt quiet and safe. Playground next door was a big bonus for the kids. House was clean and comfy.

This was the cutest place right out of Custard! We were blocks from the business district, and restaurants. Saw deer the two mornings we were there, and the kids loved the little park right next door. Besides the park, there was a nice shaded front lawn and we had two outside options to sit and watch them play. Maybe 3 blocks from a trail head that gives you some hiking options. Would defiantly come back again!

Was very nice place to stay. Did get a little hot at night in the bedrooms but it was very hot outside. Walking distance from main street so we didn't have to drive to go downtown. Little park for the kids right there as well.

I greatly underestimated the beauty of the black hills! Custer was the perfect spot for our family. Very close to all the sights and attractions we visited. The playground was perfect for the younger kids to enjoy in the evening while we made dinner and wound down for the day. The cabin felt private yet was close to be able to walk downtow, the dollar store, etc. I plan on returning to the black hills as we did not check everything off our list and added much more to the list and I plan on returning g to this cabin!

We found Cozy Creekside Cottage to be a wonderful place to stay for our trip to the Black Hills. The cottage provided lots of amenities and everything we needed was there. The cottage was clean and neat and we especially enjoyed using the gas fire pit out on the deck in the evening. I can highly recommend Cozy Creekside Cottage for anyone looking for a cozy place to stay for their Black Hills adventure!

It was a nice, clean house. The kids enjoyed the playground next to it. It’s in a good location- close to Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore.

The house was decorated nicely and very clean. The yard was perfect for the kids to throw a football and play around. There is also a park right next door. Everything in town in close, great location for day trips to Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave. The Badlands Ntl Park was a reasonable distance away. The car port was nice to keep our car out of any weather that came through. Great place to stay!

great except beds were way to soft.

Loved being near town but off the main street. Grocery store is within walking distance, park and nearby trail were great. Easy access to all the amazing sights! Carport was nice along with the table and chairs on the deck.
To make this property even better, the kitchen cabinets need to be upgraded along with the appliances. Bathroom could also use an upgrade.

This house was perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids ages 12, 8, 4). It’s tucked into a corner on the edge of town with easy walking access to everything. Well stocked and washer/dryer are always a plus when traveling with kids! Overall very clean. Mattresses were soft so if you like a firmer mattress you might have a difficult time sleeping. Would definitely return and recommend to others going to visit the area!

We loved being able to make breakfast, pack picnic lunches and walk to restaurants for dinner. The queen bed was a little too soft but otherwise enjoyed our stay. Thank you

A great place for kids!
This is a great place to take your kids. There is a nearby playground, the cabin is kid-friendly, and there are many fun attractions nearby.
Everything we needed to be able to cook was also made available. We really appreciated having a washer and dryer on site.

Great location
Everything we needed in a great location! My kids loved having the playground basically in the yard, and it was so convenient being walking distance from restaurants and Custer’s main drag, yet still off the beaten path enough to feel quite private.

Fantastic cabin! Close to EVERYTHNG!
This was a great place to stay. Owners were available via text and popped in to help with the TV. They had everything we needed to cook meals. Very clean and comfortable. There is no better place to stay than in Custer if you want to be close to everything in the Black Hills area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Excellent
This cottage is a wonderful place to stay! We were there for 4 nights, and only had to call owners once when it got too cool and we didn't know how to turn the heat on. But prompt reply resolved that quickly. We would certainly stay there again!

Can’t be a better place to stay in Custer
This was our first trip to this area of the United States, and there cannot be a better place to stay in Custer than this beautiful cabin. The cabin is very well kept and perfect for our family of four with two 10-12 year olds. Wonderful green space next to the home to throw the baseball. Plus, it is the perfect mix of being in a quiet area nestled up to the woods yet literally steps to downtown over a little creek and bridge, with close access to great restaraunt options. Also, close access to the hiking trail up to the disc golf course and “lookout tower” overseeing downtown Custer. I highly recommend it and would stay again next time we visit. I will also recommend this to friends. Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful vacation
Great location, great property and very helpful communication with owners. Property is very clean and comfortable. Has all needed for a family. Location is walking distance to Custer which has really good restaurants yet has short driving distances to attractions & lakes. Play park area at end of yard was perfect for the kids. Overall perfect.

Quiet In Town Respite
The location was amazing! Able to walk out the doors and have a park for the kids to play at and walk right into town.

Nice place!
Very clean, well stocked, comfortable, and nicely decorated! The location was quiet and convenient to everything in Custer. The property was well maintained. Next door was a small neighborhood park. I would have rated it five stars if the AC had worked but it did not. The owner said he had requested service on the AC but would have to wait two weeks for a service call. There were several hot and stuffy evenings but thankfully after dark it cooled down. The owner should have let us know prior to arrival the AC was not working. Whoever the guest were arriving after we left will not have AC either. We realize mechanical things break down but it was a dissapointment in the hot weather at the time.
