This was a great house for our family vacation! We came with a family ranging from 11- 75 years olds. Everything was awesome! The house and location was perfect for us to do day trips and excursions! Would
Highly recommend this property for a family vacation!

My favorite thing about this cabin were the views. My husband and I love to sit and relax and have our morning coffee just enjoying the views and this was a great place to do it. The cabin was clean and perfect for our family that ranged in age 0 to 60. The only issue was that the microwave was not working, but we made due. We spent a lot of time in the cabin enjoying all of the amenities. The game room and theater room were especially great for our group. Would rebook this cabin if visiting in the future.

Enjoyed the property very much. Had a gew minor issues that were found during our stay and the property management were always available and quick to respond.
4.7
Had such a great stay at the property. Not far distance from the Gatlinburg area.
4.7
We loved and used the arcade until our arms fell off, the hot tub was clean and there were ample bed options. There are some many great spaces to sit outside and in. The kitchen was well enough appointed for our purposes! We could have used more hand towel. Everything was in working order, beautiful views and easy enough drive, not to much twisting and turning but wouldn’t love to do it at night. Would absolutely stay here again!
4.7
The cabin was clean, and well maintained. Great location right outside of the main part of Gatlinburg.
4.7
This was wonderful and my students loved the property

House was beautiful and great location...perfect for our family of 19!! Views are a slice of heaven!! Beds are very firm, but we got used to it. Drive to grocery store is about 10 minutes and about 15-20 (depending on traffic) to Gatlinburg town. A/C wasn't working properly a couple days and contacted Danielle. She ensured maintenance came same day! Very responsive from booking thru checkout!! Highly recommend!!
4.7
Cabin was clean and was as advertised. Host was responsive and easy to communicate with.
4.7
Had a good week but should have been better maintained for the price.

The property’s was great. Kids love the game room. It was a beautiful place. Views were out standing. Only thing the shower in the upstairs bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed. And the water wouldn’t get hot. Everything else was great.

Buck & Bear Lodge was a wonderful place to stay! Every year, for the past 15 years, my entire family ages 6-83 this year, spends the first weekend in December in The Smokey's Mountains. This year we stayed at the Buck & Bear Lodge. We had an amazing time! It beyond suited our needs! We even woke up to a BEAR in the back of our truck!!!
There were 15 of us this year. We had plenty of room to spread out and have our own space. Everyone enjoyed the game room including my 83 year old grandmother! She really liked the car racing game! There was a big variety of games to keep everyone entertained. The kitchen was AMAZING!!! It was completely well stocked for a big group. My mom said it was the best kitchen we have ever had on our trips! We did all our meals there at the cabin. It was great to have big pots and pans to cook with and pleanty of dishes and silverware. The dining room table was huge! Everyone was able to eat together at one time. We highly enjoyed sitting around the table playing cards!
The check in/out was extremely simple. We had a couple of questions when we first arrived, the property manager was excellent, prompt, easy to communicate with. The property was very conveniently located near town so it was easy to run to the store or out for doughnuts!
Overall we had a Wonderful time
Our entire experience was wonderful! We will definitely be back in the future!

When we arrived at 4 PM on Sunday 11/19/23 the property had not be cleaned. Back door was wide open. Nothing was locked except the front door. Beds hadn't been stripped. No starter supplies period. There was a 7'+ black bear going through trash that had been strewn all over the place. Trash had not been secured. SEVERAL lights were out that needed replacing - still did not get them all working. The men that came to work on them said the light fixtures need replacing badly as they could be a fire hazard. The cleaning crew showed up over an hour and a half later. On Tuesday Gatlinburg had a fierce wind storm that knocked out the power & water (we were told to get water out of the hotub - UNACCEPTABLE) for 10 hours. We brought lots of food for the week. I called the owner to request a generator. Could not secure one. As the day waned on it began to get dark. I called to get flashlights, candles anything. No response (this was UNACCEPTABLE). The power did come on as we were leaving for the evening. The property needs a DEEP cleaning. The cleaners surfaced cleaned. We went behind to finish what they attempted. We should have been compensated for the cleaning. The property had a leak which I reported. Minor repairs need repairing again. The property needs updating for the required rental fee. Would not recommend this property until attention is given to cleaning & repairs.

Loved the cabin. Tons of room for the whole family. Great kitchen with plenty of room for food preparation. Loved the view! I highly recommend this cabin.

We had 4 families stay for 3 nights, adults and children. This was a perfect property for a large group with children’s entertainment that was perfect! House was clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend!
4.7
Very nice cabin and amenities. As described. Overall great experience. A few lights out throughout cabin. One of the arcade machines not working. Door knobs and locks to patio doors loose which was a quick fix with a screwdriver. Would stay again. Owners very responsive and polite.

Our family gathered from 3 states for a wedding. We enjoyed a mini vacation days gefore the wedding.
This home had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. Great views, plenty of space for boardgames, lots of spacious bedrooms.
Everyone had a great time and loved the cabin. Erika has been so helpful. Clear instructions and helpful reminders. We wouod definitely stay here again.

The Buck and Bear is a beautiful property. It was a perfect set up for my family gathering. There were a couple of things that needed repair but Danielle was ver responsive and was great to work with. I highly recommend this property!
4.7
The cabin was beautiful. We had plenty of room for everyone. We will be renting this cabin again.

Our family enjoyed our long weekend in this cabin celebrating a milestone birthday. The cabin was spacious and had phenomenal views of the mountains. The kitchen was well stocked and the gameroom was a fun pass time as well. The only recommendation that I have would be to upgrade mattresses. Some of the carpet in the basement needs updating. The host was accommodating to our party, and we are very appreciative of that. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!
4.7
We had a great weekend here! The property was clean and well maintained. There were a few small things like air vents that were dented but besides that it looked fantastic. The signage pulling into the driveway is a bit lacking and faded. Besides those two small things we loved everything about this cabin.
4.7
Cabin was perfect for our large family gathering. Great morning and evening views of the mountains. Game room was fun for the kids and adults alike. We had several encounters with bears in the driveway. Lock your doors means lock your doors. Centrally located for all the activities that we did. Hiking, site seeing, and other local attractions. Communication was straight forward with the host on the very few issues we encountered. Kitchen was well stocked for all types of cooking. The cooktop was a little tricky or sensitive but was in fine working condition. I’d just add if you have a large group bring some extra towels for both the bathrooms and kitchen duties. If there were extras onsite we did not find them. Overall a perfect cabin just as it was noted in the listing.
4.7
Buck and bear was a wonderful cabin for our family of 13. The kitchen is very large and well stocked. The house was clean and the game room was enjoyed by all. We even had a bear sighting! It is fairly close to Gatlinburg but be sure to take the convenient trolly to save money on parking. We liked the close proximity to the GSM and although the drive to Dollywood was a little long, the cabin Mountain View’s were worth it. Lastly, we loved the community center where we played pickle ball and bowled. Lots of inexpensive fun close by. Almost forgot to mention the golf course and fishing and my favorite, Cades Cove. All fairly close by. We had a great time!
4.7
Had a great time! The cabin was everything that we needed. Plenty of room for all 16 of us to sleep and relax.
4.7
Perfect cabin for our large extended family of 20. Easy to find and access with great views from many decks, plenty of parking for multiple vehicles, and lots of space. House shows some age/wear but does not affect use or functionality. The multiple levels provided plenty of space for everyone to be able to do different activities while being in the same house so you didn’t feel crammed. Game room provided endless hours of entertainment for both young and old. Kitchen and dining area was spacious for all 20 of us to use at the same time. Movie theater was far away from game room so sound did not interfere with each other. Hot tub was great and easy to access. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone too. I would highly recommend this place for large families as it has plenty of space for all!
4.7
The property was awesome and as advertised, would definitely be returning and will also recommend
4.7
Beautiful setting, kitchen / dining area a dream very well stocked. Few issues , smoke detectors did not seem to all have batteries. Had question about hot tub and management promptly sent service personnel . Loved the game room and movie area. It is a great place and all 13 of us would recommend it. Maybe a couple new mattresses might be needed is a suggestion . Beds clean and neat. We loved the patio balconies and access to grill was so good. The padlock in gate was broken I was told. I think the 4 pm check in should be 2 pm and 10 a.M is too early to check out. It should be at least noon . It is an expensive cabin for the short time we were there but our family which consisted of cousins who traveled long distances were so thankful to be in such a nice place. I recommend this cabin!!
4.7
The view was amazing. The house was amazing. We had a wonderful time!! The kitchen is VERY well stocked. The game room was a huge hit with the young ones and the adults. The only problem we had was a TV that didn’t work, but it was replaced in good time.
They recommend that you keep your car doors locked. Take this advice. A bear got in one of our vehicles on the last night.
4.7
TVs did not work well but we never really used them much. Other than that it was perfect
4.7
We enjoyed our stay very much! The kids loved the game room. We had a great time all together. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.
4.7
Few glitches in the beginning, staff took care of with in 24hrs. Place needs just a little refresh. Watch out for the showers- shower in master bedroom takes an engineer to figure out the configuration on the faucet. Watch out it will get you! The Jacuzzi tub in master dose not work. They say it cant be fixed, as a builder anything can be fixed. Just off kitchen bathroom "the shower" watch out you have to have towels on the floor to stop the water from flowing into the bed room down stairs. Owners do mention this in the welcome letter at cabin. New shower door installed properly would fix it! over all great place nothing is perfect. 15 of us had a blast. Its a nice Place.
4.7
4 families of 4 plenty of room!! Great floor plan very open private cabin. We would definitely stay here again!!
4.7
Overall I think this place was well worth it!!Very easy to book, check in and check out.
Everyone loved the game room in the downstairs and tv/movie area with all the seating upstairs. The openness of the cabin made it very enjoyable for everyone that was with us.
Only downside was due to some inclement weather we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor space as much as we would have liked, but that just gives us an excuse to come back another time.
4.7
I was very pleased with our stay.. pictures are exactly what you get.. this house was perfect for our trip of 12. Location was not a far from attractions. Couple of things the cleaning crew missed but all in all was very nice. Would stay here again
4.7
The cabin was perfect for our family. Loved how it was laid out so that family members “had their own space” when needed. The game room was a favorite of the kids. They hardly wanted to leave it. The cabin and its view was breathtakingly gorgeous! It was perfection!
4.7
This was a great place to spend a few days near Gatlinburg with family. It was about 15 minutes from town and had a view of the mountains from multiple decks. The teenagers, in particular, enjoyed the downstairs game room with video games, a pool table and a soccer game.
4.7
Great house for our family trip. The kids absolutely loved the game room and we barely ever saw them out of it! The house is a bit far from everything but it suited our needs.
4.7
Cleaning crew could’ve done a better job. Arcade kept the kids busy. Nice house.
4.7
Great time getting together with extended family over a long weekend. While the property had a few minor maintenance issues outstanding when we got there, it served us very well. Cabin was roomy, clean, comfortable and kitchen was well equipped for the meal preparations. The views are all they are advertised to be and exceeded our expectations! While there are neighboring cabins, you feel you’re entirely alone. Highly recommend this property.
4.7
Amazing views and location! We did have to wait until closer to 5pm to get into the cabin. Their was only one lady cleaning the house ( assuming short staffed) she was very nice about it all! Did have cold water in most showers and fire place did not work. But we did like the layout of cabin and it was a great space for the family! Still a great place for a great price!
