Six women all celebrating our 60th birthday year convened at this gorgeous home for a week of pure relaxation. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well appointed, and the LR and DR perfect sizes. We loved the balcony overlooking the water, the Adirondack chairs closer to the water, and the expansive lawn. Some of our party kayaked. We loved the location and enjoyed our day excursions. Top notch property.

This is a beautiful, well-equipped home in a wonderful location. It has plenty of room for all to spread out. We enjoyed using the kayaks to explore the shore. We’re definitely coming back!

We were two families with young kids who truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The home is spacious, comfortable, and well appointed, however the real gem is the outdoor space and gorgeous views. We also found the hosts to be generous and accommodating. We'll be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

To summarize, we've already booked for next year! The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. If you want to just hang around and relax it is wonderful, also plenty of attractions if you'd prefer.
Great spot

We had a wonderful time - kayaking, hiking, reading, enjoying lobster rolls, and cooking (in the very well equipped kitchen). The views from the house are beautiful on rainy days as well as sunny. Definitely a place to return to.

A wonderful home and a terrific base from which to explore all that this part of Maine has to offer. Well equipped, with comfortable accommodation for the entire family. Tremendous views from the generous deck and yard.

Wow!! Just Wow!! This house was exactly as pictured. We were a family of 6 adults and the space was perfect for us. Well-stocked kitchen, comfy beds, and stunning views! Quiet & secluded, yet only 20-25 minutes to Rockland and Camden. We have stayed in many rentals and this one is definitely on the top of our list! Want to do it all again next year! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your GORGEOUS home!!!

Had another great visit to this beautiful home. Discovered new lobster shacks (McLoons!), hiked Monhegan Island (so easy to get to from Port Clyde) and wandered around Owl's Head and Rockland. This home is located near a lot of wonderful things to visit!
The homeowner and property manager also were hyper-responsive and addressed a couch issue within one day...we were super impressed. Hope to visit again soon!

We had a wonderful time at this house! It is literally on the water. The back yard is beautiful. We used the hammock and the chairs out by the water. I loved reading a book in the sun and watching the boats go by. Port Clyde was a gem! We loved the General Store and the Dip Net restaurant! I highly recommend the lobster roll at the Dip Net. It was my favorite one out of all the other places we ate lobster rolls at.

I can't say enough about this property and its location. Such a perfect distillation of Coastal Maine and all that makes it special. We were especially grateful for the proactive nature of the property manager and owner - very tiny issues early on, barely worth noting, that were handled as it they were much more serious, with tremendous follow up. The house and grounds are wonderful - our kids rolled out of the house in their pajames every morning to find new things in the ocean, and observing the family of wild turkeys that meander through the lawns. Such a wonderful place and time, we will surely be back soon.

The house on Howard's Head was magnificent in every way. Located at the end of a dead end road, it has the most beautiful views in every direction and from almost every window. The house is spacious and has lots of places to gather with family and friends. The beds are comfy and there are plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with dishes, cutlery and pots and pans. And we were delighted to find spices and condiments in the cupboards. Best of all, the paintings, mostly of Maine locales, were gorgeous and hung all over the home. This place is a gem in any season. It was perfect for a fall family celebration, and we loved watching the changes in weather. We give this amazing place rave reviews

Three Florida couples enjoyed relaxing in this beautiful home on the oceanfront for a second time. Our first trip was in early June 2021. We spent the restful week searching for sea glass on the beach, eating fresh, steamed lobster from the local dock, taking one of Linda Bean’s Wyeths By Water boat tours, and enjoying delicious ice cream and blueberry pies from the Port Clyde ice cream shop. A special treat this year were the wild turkeys and deer on the lawn in the early morning and late afternoon! We would highly recommend this home and area for a peaceful vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The kitchen is well-stocked for making meals at the house. The beds are comfortable and are of good quality. The photos accurately represent the rental, however there is some wear evident.
The location is excellent. A short ride to Port Clyde for essentials, or a longer to Tenant's Harbor. If you want privacy, this suits the bill. It is at the end of a dirt road, so no cars pass by. It was absolutely quiet, except for the occasional lobster boat working in the morning. The water access is wonderful. There are two stable small kayaks, and two larger, heavier kayaks available for use. We made good use of them and they are a nice amenity.
The property manager (for us, Jennifer) was excellent. She was responsive and available on short notice and resolved an issue for us with great diligence and dedication. Thank you, Jennifer!
Trees obstruct what would be spectacular views of the ocean from the house, so to enjoy the best views, head down to the water.
We were hoping for spending lots of time on the deck, but the plastic(!) deck railing interferes with the views of the water, and was poorly constructed. Also, the Adirondack chairs shown on the deck in the photos are no longer there. Also, the photos showing Adirondack chairs near the water, where the best ocean views can be enjoyed, are gone, and replaced with 4 wooden chairs that are not practical for use.
The house was generally clean when we arrived, but we did need to do a more thorough cleaning of two bathrooms. After paying a high cleaning fee, we expected better.
We enjoyed our week-long stay at this property.

Our extended family (ages 2-70) had a fabulous vacation in this beautiful home! The views are gorgeous, the yard has lots of room to roam and there’s even a little swimming cove if you walk north on the rocks. There’s so much to see and do in the area, but we also had a wonderful time just being at the house and spending time as a family :)

Beautiful property
We had a great time at this beautiful oceanside home. The pictures are accurate, the house was stocked with everything you could want. Jennifer, the property manager was great , very responsive and worked to fix the couple of small issues we had right away. And very important to us, the beds were actually very, very comfortable. We would love to go back to the property.

A wonderful week!
Gorgeous waterfront home that gave our extended family of ten a relaxing and fun week. Port Clyde was a blast, as was our day trip to Monhegan (boat line is so close to this house!). Kayaked daily with the double kayak available on property (one of many), saw many seals. Very comfortable rooms, big property with more than enough to entertain three kids under 7. Kitchen was spacious and we had a lot of fun cooking big meals (favorite meal: lobster pasta, with lobster pulled fresh off the boat). One of my sons enjoyed watching the lobstermen work out in the water so much that he's decided he wants to become one! Looking forward to visiting again.

Great views, so much to offer
Had a wonderful family reunion in this beautifulpdern home. Lots of space for 3 families, and modern kitchen, with lots of big windows and beautiful patio to soak up the mornings looking over the ocean. Sunsets were just breathtaking as we relaxed on the private beach each evening. Kids had so much to explore in tidal pools on the private beach, which they ran to early every morning. Kids were kept busy all day on the property with swimming, snorkeling and kayaking in the bay from our private beach. We could prepare our own fresh caught fish and lobster from Port Clyde fishermen just 5 min drive away. Kids also enjoyed nearby nature center, as well as Akaydia National Park, just 2 hour drive away. Lots of wild Turkeys with babies on the lawn, every morning were memorable.

Wonderful home for the holiday break
We had the most wonderful & relaxing time. It was beautifully yet simply furnished which I really appreciate and the kitchen was stocked with every tool you could need!!!! Huge bonus on that one! The home was cozy and comfortable. The views and sounds and smells are incredibly tranquil and exactly what we needed. I am from the area but coming back to the Mid-Coast and having this lovely home made it really feel like coming home.

Beautiful Property, Amazing Views!
This beautiful property was the perfect setting for our annual fall trip to Maine. There were 7 of us ranging in age from 49-67. The home is spacious and secluded offering peace and privacy. The ocean views were absolutely stunning especially at sunset. The home was very clean and accommodating for cooking, games, relaxing, and star gazing. Be sure to plan for toiletries, detergent, etc, as there is just enough to get you started. We would love to return to this home to create more memories!

The VIEWS!!!!
This is the place you go to relax and get away from it all! Very private at the end of the lane, beautifully restored home. Kitchen is well stocked with plates/pots and pans but you do need to bring all of the essentials such as paper towels/toilet paper/dishwasher soap etc Beds are very comfortable and linens and towels are high end. The house was very clean and furniture is comfortable as well. Kayaks are provided for fun and the deck, yard and beach are perfect for relaxing or being active, whichever you choose! Very close to the town of Port Clyde, there is a small general store there that has some basic essentials and some AMAZING food at their grill…get them lobster roll! Marshall Point lighthouse is nearby and highly recommend a day trip to Monhegan Island. We saw Eagles and listened to loons, had some visiting seals and turkeys as well. Plenty to keep our large group entertained and we would definitely return! We highly recommend a stay in this beautiful home!!

Beautiful place with a great view
Our family of 3 adult couples enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful house with a great view. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space indoors and outdoors. We enjoyed a nature trip with Hardy Boats, a day in Rockland, and the trolls at the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. We would highly recommend!

Wonderful 3-week vacation
We had the pleasure of staying at this gorgeous property for 3 weeks in August, with an array of family and friends (with children). The house is so well-appointed and laid out for big groups, with everything we could possibly need to enjoy ourselves there. The kayaks and life jackets were a huge plus. The water is easy to walk right into at high tide and even at low tide, you can crawl over rocks if you so desire! Sue the property manager was so responsive and the handy man came over multiple times to address minor things, and even stopped by with flashlights just in case we lost power in a tropical storm headed our way (we didn't lose power!) We loved our time here and would definitely return.

A perfect get away
The house is set on a beautiful property that slopes down to the ocean. The views are stunning.
The home is well appointed and we appreciated the well stocked kitchen. This is a great place to relax and get back to nature. I’d like to keep it a secret…

Relaxing week
With 2 king beds and 1 queen bed, this home provided very comfortable sleeping arrangements for our family get together of 3 adult couples. We will miss the sounds of the ocean and the sun lighting up the sky as a natural 5 am alarm clock! Mornings sipping coffee on the back deck, days exploring Port Clyde and Rockland, and evenings around the large dining room table playing cards/games made for a perfect vacation! Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us!

Beautiful home for relaxing
Three Florida couples enjoyed relaxing in this beautiful home on the oceanfront. We spent the restful week sitting in the Adirondack chairs viewing the ocean and lobster boats, searching for sea glass on the beach, eating fresh, steamed lobster on the deck, playing basketball in the driveway, walking around the beautiful landscaped yard, and enjoying delicious halibut, clams, oysters, ice cream, and pastries in the local restaurants/shops. We loved this house and area!

Wonderful stay in a delightful location
We spent a wonderful week in this delightful property. It is peaceful and private. We spent hours on the deck or the lawn enjoying the beautiful view and listening to the chugging of the lobster boats. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed. It was very comfortable. It is a bit remote--20-30 minutes to Rockland, but there are useful general stores nearby. We will be back

Quintessential Maine
This place was literally perfect. Amazing property all around. Stunning views of the ocean from inside and out. The house is charming and very well appointed. The rocky beach on the property was a ton of fun for the kids to wade around looking for crabs. The charming little village of Port Clyde is a short drive or a decent jog away (~2.5 miles). Sue was very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend this place, and we hope to be back.

Secluded family retreat with spectacular views
This is an incredibly clean, lovely home with spectacular views. My family of four stayed here and absolutely loved it. The location is fairly remote, so be sure to stock up on groceries and supplies (we went to the Thomaston WalMart about 30 minutes away) with a few stops during our stay at the much closer, and far more charming, Tenants Harbor General Store for last minute items and fresh lobsters. We went in the winter so most restaurants were closed for the season, but we did eat at Ancho Honey and the Black Harpoon -- both delicious and nearby. This is a wonderful home if you are looking to spend time with your loved ones without a lot of distraction.
Also, important (to us) to note -- wifi was very good for all our devices and streaming, and Verizon cell service strong.

Great winter getaway!
Our group of 8 including 4 children ages 6-9 loved our stay in this home. We agreed that the pictures didn’t do it justice. The home is spacious with lots of light and incredible ocean views. The kids loved the backyard where they could play in the snow, the basketball hoop in the driveway and the ping pong table/games in the basement. The living room/fireplace was very cozy and the beds were comfortable. Location felt remote, quiet and peaceful. We spent several days in the Camden area about 40’ from the house. Great winter hiking and snow shoeing. There were also nearby hills for sledding. All in all, a great vacation spot!!

A stunning Maine retreat on the Atlantic
Our stay at the house on Howard Head was incredible. We loved it so much that I've now made it my mission to save up to buy a house just like it!
Pros: big, beautiful, updated home; 10/10 oceanfront view on a beautiful secluded property; several areas for eating/hanging/cooking; built to host large groups with plenty of space, cutlery and cookware; responsive and accommodating property manager; fair pricing
Things to note: the house is down a country road and it takes about 30 minutes to get to a standard grocery store; the two master bedrooms are great, but the double room is tight, the bunk room is really tight, and the tv room pullout isn't very comfortable; wifi was a little spotty and varied by person/device
Overall incredible stay and would absolutely go back.
