Posizione, personale, atmosfera, cibo, escursioni, spiaggia.
Forse il wi-fi non super-performante, ma nel complesso ci può stare.

The location was excellent. Very close to the beach. And the staff was friendly.
You could only eat at the restaurant at specific hours and only for a buffet
3.8
The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped.
Breakfast was excellent
Propert itself is weird with different sections of it not being connected and separated by the normal paths down to the beach and other buildings.
No WiFi in the room
Dinner was a very expensive Euro 20 flat rate, way more expensive than anything else around

it was a lovely, enjoyable experience. me and my wife will surely be back again

The 2 building with the rooms are not on the beach so we were confused at first because we arrived in an alleyway with a nest of buildings and no beach in site and the hotel name was changed. When we were obviously unsure if we were at the correct location and didn't recognize any of the website pictures, the receptionist took us on a 5 minute walk to see the rooms, the restaurant area which is on the beach and the pool which is above the beach and has a spectacular view. It is a 1 minute walk through little alleyways to get from the rooms to the restaurant to the pool.
That we were first assigned rooms in the second building which is further back from the beach but that they moved us to the first building when we were unhappy with those rooms.

The staff were friendly. Private beach by the pool is nice.
The area wasn't really for us as quite touristy but that's not the hotel problem.
The rooms were separate from the pool and private beach. A short walk away but I didn't realise this when booking.
Our room had only a partial sea view and overlooked other hotels which I don't think was made clear when I booked.

I loved kendwa on the whole
Swimming pool was quite cool
Yolanda the receptionist wasn't very helpful. Only found out where to have breakfast om my third day.
The pool isn't at the hotel its like a two minute walk through a very sketchy alleyway. Advertised as on the beach not at all on the beach. And you don't stay at kendwa bnb you stay at a place called Palumbo

Personnels are so friendly and helpful
There is no internet. It’s look like you are connected to wifi but no.
Housekeeping should be improved. We stayed 1 week, they just cleaned our toilet table just 1 time. They just clean the ground and leave.

Check in was very slow. There is no lift & climbing 4 floors in the heat is hard work - but the view is worth it.
3.8
Very nice location, friendly staff, good food.
3.8
The staff was very helpful though always willing to assist.
There was construction happening around rge area outside, so there was a lot of noise coming from the loud equipment. I did not really enjoy their breakfast.
The room was small and didn't have any aircon.
3.8
Touristic place, just by the beach of Kendwa.
They work a lot with Italian tour operators, so there are all the amenities needed by a tourist.
Internet connection is the poorest I've used during my stay in Tanzania. They should put a sign with the hotel name.
It could be good to add a better curtains in the room, early morning the lights come from the windows.
3.8
Nice hot shower and breakfast
Facilities separate from hotel and they could improve the overall stay buy been more accommodating and friendly. No water or tea or coffee in rooms. Charge extra if required.
3.8
Location, friendly stuff, nice food
Construction noise, no wifi signal in the rooms, old wooden bed frames with termites

The reception staff is definitely super nice and the breakfast staff as well one of few places I have stayed at where the staff actually have good training and seems satisfied with their work. very good location too. clean and homey feeling for a hotel.
a little too expensive but kendwa is generally expensive. a lot of noise from construction work and once it’s built finish way too close to the balcony and room. but Al in Al a very nice and pleasant stay and I can definitely recommend staying there if you choose kendwa.

the staff are super nice, well trained and friendly and actually seems as if they like working there which is important to me and not my experience at most other hotels I have stayed at in Zanzibar ( I have stayed a lot of different hotels) I would definitely stay there again if I have the budget to do so.
the construction work was right outside our balcony and bedroom very noisy and when finished it will be way too close to the rooms facing the new upcoming building which is of course not the hotels fault but annoying and a problem in kendwa in general buildings way too close for my taste anyway. a little too pricey for me but not for the area Kendwa is generally expensive.

The staff were all lovely, from the reception to the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and good. Dinner was good as well, with several courses, and the same price as everywhere else - $10.
Hard to find. The hotel is actually called Palumbo. They’re trying to change the name, so taxi drivers don’t know it when you say Kendwa Beach BnB. The wifi basically did not work on the top floor. Worked great on the beach though! Beach not immediately in front of the hotel either, bit of a strange path to get there.

Perfect breakfast and a very helpful and friendly staffs. I have really enjoyed being there.
The location is also perfect and near to the beach.

Great place. Staff so friendly and helpful, especially Tina, Mathilda, Jamila, Freddie and Happy. Breakfast AMAZING. Private beach great, no one will come pester you to sell you crap (but they will as soon as you step onto the public beach!) Bed comfortable. Shower hot. View from balcony beautiful. Good mosquito net. Picturesque swimming pool. There is a safe in the room. And a fridge. And good air conditioning. Everything very secure, property protected by men dressed as Massai. Beach looks like a postcard of paradise.
Was quite hard to find the place, as the hotel has changed name from Palumbo, but everyone still knows it as Palumbo. No sign on the road pointed the way to Kendwa BnB. If you are in a taxi, tell the driver you want Palumbo!

- very clean
- cleaning all room every day
- bedding change every day
- towels changed every second day
- beautiful view from the window
- very comfortable bed
- good and full breakfast
- very nice sunbeds area on the beach and pool area with chairs too
- good location if you're planning to go to Kendwa Full Moon Party - just few minutes by the beach to Kendwa Rocks
- unstable Wi-Fi
- They ask you to pay more than the price from the Booking. They have "their own" Dollar-Shillings rate so that you don't pay with the real and current rate exchange but you pay more because of "their rate". I didn't like it because I had precisely calculated and prepared money but in that case I needed to give them around 30 000 TZS more which, in all, was not the price that was listed in my Booking. I stayed in few hotels in Zanzibar and this was first situation like this, that's why I don't think it's a nice practice.
- I understand that Maasais are not at the highest level of education but they should know at least the meaning of the word "mattress" in English, especially if their job is to give mattress to the guests. I asked one Maasai for the mattress and he didn't have a clue what I was asking for. Other Maasais were ok.

The breakfast was great, they make fresh pancakes crepes or eggs for you and then a range of pastries, cereal, fruit and other hot items to help yourself to. The pool and beach areas were nice places to chill on sun beds and got the wifi. The mosquito nets round the beds in the room were great, not that we actually saw too many mosquitoes. We got a room without a sea view as it was cheaper, good priced rooms for what you get, but we could see the sea out the corner of the balcony which was nice. There was a nice chill out area above the restaurant where the wifi seemed to work pretty well. The restaurant offers a good 4 course dinner for €10. Although, I think I may have gotten sick from the calamari so just beware of the seafood.
The property is a little disjointed, with reception and rooms being in one building and the restaurant and beach being a short walk along a dirt path away and the pool a short walk along a dirt path a different way. They aren’t far away but it just takes away from the whole feel of the hotel.
The room was great but there was an awful smell from the drains in the bathroom the first day. We would have said something but it went away the next day and came back a couple of times during our 4 night stay. Also the room could have been doing with a kettle and tea/coffee. There was a fridge though and the wifi was patchy.
Although the restaurant and sun beds are on the beach, the beach is very long so it’s not right next to the water. Not a problem for us but just something to note if you’re wanting to be right next to the sea. On the most part the location is good, there are a few nice restaurants along the beach front, very close to the hotel and there are small shops along the dirt paths where you can buy water, snacks etc. The shops are very small though so can’t quite buy lunch in, which was a shame, we would have needed a kitchen to cook in to make lunch. It just meant we had to go to a restaurant for lunch everyday which can get pricey.

The best beach in Zanzibar. Very nice and friendly staff. Everything was good.

This hotel was quite hidden but what a great find. The eternity pool is soo spectacular and the patch of beach in front of the hotel was my favorite to swim. Hotel staff, Halima Freddy Jamila Fatima and Jennifer were super friendly and made me feel at home all of the time. I had amazing views from the 2nd floor. My room had an aircon, fan and geyser with perfect water pressure. Breakfast was a feast which included yogurt, fruits, pancakes, crepes, eggs in way ud prefer, red beans, potatoes and more. There's are ample sunbeds and relaxing areas. I will definitely be back!
Nothing!

The The bed was one of the most comfortable I have Ever slept in. The staff did everything they could to accommodate us, they were helpful and very friendly.
The place felt very safe and the food was nice.
The WiFi was a big issue! It was unreliable when we were upstairs and often we had to sit in the reception to talk to our families. They tried to resolve this but it was unsatisfactory.
There was a choice of foods on the menu with 3 courses. Often they all came together, which meant the last course was cold. For me this is an issue as I like my food hot off the fire.
