Property was convenient and family friendly.

My family enjoyed our stay at this cute townhome. There was plenty of space for all 7 us (3 adults and 4 kids). We really loved hanging out in the little courtyard and the it was great having a hot tub. The location is very close to the beach and many restaurants. The host was attentive and great at checking my in during the stay to make sure we had what we needed.

This beautiful home allows us to spend a week with our grandkids each year. It is a perfect set up and a perfect location! Plenty of room to gather together, and everyone has space for a little alone time. Evenings on the beautifully lit patio after a stroll to the beach were some of my favorite times. Thank you again for a wonderful week! Definitely a repeat client 🤗 See you next year!

Everything was as advertised with this place. The beach is super close and super convenient. Only negative was how hot the place was at night. The listing was very clear on no AC but it was right at our limits of tolerance. There are some fans in the rooms but it’s still really hot. There was plenty of kitchen amenities to cook for a full week. Plenty of boogie board/surfboards/wagons/umbrellas. Overall, great experience and great host!

Nice place to hang out and relax with family or walk to the beach. Don’t forget not to miss the trolley that’s within walking distance! It was also nice to come home to a soak in the hot tub and drinks in the back patio each night. Everyone voted this to be our favorite VRBO so far!

Very nice! If we come back this way, we would definitely think about staying in here again!

Cute house and great location. We loved the close access to the beach trail and the kids loved the hot tub during those foggy So Cal mornings. Plenty of space for our group of 5. Glad there was an included parking spot as the streets are tight and always lined with parked cars. TV cable could use an upgrade, very few channels was an issue during rainy days and March Madness but overall we had a great stay.

There were clothes left in the down stairs bathroom with a dirty towel. We repaired the bunk bed to make it usable. The bunk is not comfortable at all. There was a lot of noise from nearby houses after 930 pm. People partying late. We enjoyed how close to the beach the home is. The hot tub was a big hit with our group. We overall enjoyed this home. We left a few items to donate to the next guests., A pickle ball set and a stock pot.
Thank you

We loved our stay here. The location is great. There is beach access just a minutes walk down the street but we drove 2 minutes each day to get to Linda Lane Park and went to the beach there where there is good (paid) parking and great sand.
There are lots of great food options close by.
The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We had such a great time in San Clemente. The house is in the perfect location. We walked to the pier each morning for coffee, then would come back get our beach gear and walk back down to the beach for the rest of the day. You couldn't find a better location.

Sparse kitchen with just one plastic mixing bowl. We actually used flat bottom vase for a salad. Grill was too difficult to start because starter was broken. Knifes were poor quality or broken. Everything was more than used including furniture. Bottom bunk which we hoped to use had a very uncomfortable mattress.

Great Hub for a family vacation!
This is a great location, not only San Clemente, but the property itself. It’s a block away from stairs that access a small beach, good for surfing and short swims. I enjoyed this access most as it connects to a bike and jogging path 5 minutes from the San Clemente pier! The stairs were a great way to get a short workout in each day.
The kitchen was a good size and functional to feed our family of five. The furnishings were comfortable, clean and arranged nicely.
We would recommend a stay, as it is a great value!

Beautiful Home. Perfect Location!!
I spent four days here entertaining 5 kids ranging from age 11 to 18. What a piece of cake it turned out to be. The layout and comfort of the home is outstanding. I had everything we needed to cook meals, do dishes and even a load of laundry. The house was immaculate and available on time. We had two cars, I’m familiar with the area so I was nervous about parking but we never had an issue. Everything in town was in walking distance, next time we’ll definitely rent some bikes to expand our reach. The kids also loved and appreciated all the stairs up and down to the bike / walking path :)
We had an incredible time, clear sunny skies, low winds for our bonfire and great ocean temperatures for boogie boarding!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

My family has been coming to San Clemente for years. We’ve stayed in many many properties and have never experienced the weird things we did here. For the price tag at almost 400$ a night, this property is not worth the price tag.
The owner does not disclose that he lives in the front unit of this property. And speaks of “neighbors” in third person when he’s in fact speaking of himself. It’s very big brother and not something he disclosed. Be warned.
The other major issue is the hot tub policy. Which he uses the pictures of the hot tub to advertise on here and quite honestly were a huge selling point on this rental. He called and messaged me for being in the hot tub after 9:30. There’s a no jet policy after 9:30. And said neighbors complained. When in fact it was him. If I’m on vacation with my husband we want to use the hot tub after our kids go to bed. I don’t know anyone who sits in a hot tub mid day or adults who go to bed at 9:30 on vacation. Had the “rule” been disclosed we would have stayed elsewhere.
The next dishonest issue is the “steps” from the sand. This is literally 120 stairs down and up from the rocky side of the beach. This is not a place to set up and spend the day. For that you have to walk 15 min farther. With little kids or strollers or lots of beach equipment that was a nightmare and we are fit people.
The carpet is disgusting and stained. The towels for showering are old and stained. The dishwasher in the kitchen isn’t secured to the cabinetry and almost really injured my husband when the whole thing almost tipped over. There are large skunks in the bamboo in the courtyard.
The tv remotes do not work. The light in the kids room didn’t work. The bedding had stains on it and clearly hadn’t been washed in awhile.
Overall we enjoyed our time in San Clemente but this property was falsely advertised and needs a deeper professional cleaning and new carpet badly. As well as new linens. Definitely not worth their price tag and I didn’t appreciate the curfew rules, but then all through the weekend the neighbors were lighting off fireworks.

Nice Enough
Great location. Condo had everything you need, new couch. Only complaint is that the orange carpeting was stained and very dirty. Took away from the nice furnishings and amenities!

Quiet neighborhood
Nice size house with great patio area for outdoor dining. Walk to the beach was about 1/2 mile with beautiful sandy beach and water with no rocks.

We enjoyed the property and would stay there again. Hot tub is a treat after long walks in the beach.

I hope that we stay here again, as it’s conveniently located to a secluded surf spot and the pier. Plus it’s quiet and safe. Our party of 8 was very comfortable, thanks to the condo’s smart layout and, even though we only used one of the boogie boards, the owner supplies some pretty decent beach toys and gear, so you don’t need to haul a bunch of junk.San Clemente is one of our nation’s great treasures.

Cozy home by the ocean
This was a great place for our family of eight to stay. We enjoyed the hot tub, the close proximity to the ocean, the beach toys in the closet, and the nice neighbors next-door. I would highly recommend.
My only critique would be that they need more dishes and utensils. 😊

We love San Clemente
Great location, and quite neighborhood. This unit is in back of the owners house. Key pad entry, checked in after dark, and had a difficult times seeing. Porch lights would have been nice. Kitchen had good appliances, kitchen table had a missing chair, and it would have been nice to have placemats. Dishes, utensils, and glassware were mostly mismatched, and not impressive. We had a difficult time with tv controls, but that wasn’t a big issue. The couch was though, the “leather” was peeling and stuck to clothes, etc. We put blankets on the back rests to protect our clothes. Bedrooms were nicely furnished. Beware in the bedroom with the bunk beds and trundle bed, Ceiling fan was dangerously close to top bunk. There is a sign warning to not turn on if some is using the top, though.

Great family getaway!
Nice clean cottage walking distance to the beach (128 steps). Cottage was very comfortable and accommodated the 5 of us, beds were excellent, updated kitchen and baths are lovely. Rooms were spacious, TV’s in each room and living room. The jacuzzi is a great addition and added to our enjoyment of the place. Very nice path along beach for walking or running. The beach is rocky so not ideal for sunbathing, so we drove 5 minutes down to Calafia which is a very popular beach with parking and restaurants. Ideal for catching some rays, surfing, bodyboarding etc.

Great place to stay while in San Clemente
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable and the shower was large enough the to stretch your arms and not hit the wall. It was only the two of us so we did not try the other beds or shower. One drawback is that the hot tub is only accessible from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM. It is great hot tub but the limited time of use was problem. The kitchen had enough equipment to make a basic meal but could use some updating. The grill works great. Lots of stairs to get in and out of the house. The beach is down a 127 step staircase, but it is pretty. The owner was very gracious. Overall we had a great experience!!

Charming house, great location!
We loved our experience! The house is really cute & the bed upstairs is SO comfy. It’s a short little walk to the beach. AND there are so many great restaurants in San Clemente! Such a charming little town! Oh, and the owners give you lots of privacy.

Poor Experience
I see the positive reviews however our experience was different. The TV didn't work initially, the upstairs sink was broke, and the driveway continually blocked. Like others have mentioned the pots and knives are worthless. We ended up buying our own. And, also as noted in prior reviews, you can only use the beach at low tide. But how do you time that with when you actually want to use the beach. San Onofre, The Pier and Doheny are close by but then you're getting in the car.
Lastly we had a disagreement over the security deposit. We did accidentally stain the carpet and did our best effort to clean doing all the laundry, emptying the trash and removing all the sheets. We asked the owner 3 times to inspect the house together before we left and he refused each time. The carpet was well worn beforehand like the rest of the furnishings. The owner is keeping the entire deposit plus the insurance claim which is unethical.
So my advice is caution. Don’t think you’re getting a beach house. It’s not. It’s a decent townhouse, with used furniture, beds and utensils that's close to a beach that’s mostly unusable. The owner is helpful though our feeling is why not have stuff work in the first place and limit the contact.

Great property with great owners
We had a small issue with wifi access that the owner remedied very quickly. Property is in great shape. Quick walk to beach and then down the beach to the pier. $5 Lyft ride gets you back to the property quickly. Downtown San Clemente offers good shopping and restaurant options. Easy access up the PCH or the 5 when traffic permits to Dana Point and Laguna/Newport. We had a party of 6 with 4 children ages 5 - 15 and we fit fine. Would stay there again for sure!

Great condo
Very nice place. Chris was great and very kind. The beach was a bit disappointing, very rocky and not great for swimming. The pans provided are extremely worn and impossible to cook on, made eating in hard. But otherwise a wonderful condo, we enjoyed our stay very much.

It was wonderful!
This condo on Portal in San Clemente was a wonderful place to stay. There was beach access at the end of the street. There was also a walking path that was over 2 miles long that took you to the pier and to different beaches. We were able to walk to restaurants for different meals and to Del Mar street with shopping. The condo was spacious and was decorated in a beach theme with great pictures on the walls. The rooms were good size and the kitchen was fantastic for cooking in. Our favorite was the hot tub with the lights on the patio. There was also beach gear available and games to play with the family. There were only several things that were a problem. First, the sound system wasn't working the week we were there. That is easily fixed. The other feedback is the need for wash clothes for the bathrooms. Overall, everything was fantastic. We would stay there again.

Loved it!
Had a great time with our family! Loved the location with just a short walk to the beach. The house was very nicely furnished and well equipped. The hot tub was a hit as the weather was a little chilly the week we were there. Would highly recommend this property to others.
