About this cottage rental

Welcome to Garden Cottage! This former family home located on Edgewood Beach, on the east side of Seneca Lake, is the perfect spot for your Finger Lakes getaway. Located 7 miles from downtown Geneva, 30 miles from scenic Watkins Glen, and 45 minutes from Rochester and/or Syracuse. Seneca Lake is the largest and deepest of the Finger Lakes and boasts excellent trout fishing experiences. Our world-class wineries are within minutes of the house.

This cozy 3 bedroom home (2 queen beds, 2 twin beds) comes fully equipped. There is a refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, washer/dryer, coffee maker, and kitchen island with seating for 2. Dishes, pots/pans, silverware, and linens are provided.

The living room looks out onto Seneca Lake and has an entertainment center (with Direct TV) and dvd player. The front room includes a dining table that will seat 6-8 people.

A patio with chairs and a picnic table provides the perfect spot to sit and watch the sunset after your fun-filled day. Barbecue on the charcoal grill or enjoy a fire after dark in the fire pit. The public boat launch is a short drive and is visible from the cottage.

Nice, big, clean place with plenty of dishware, pots/pans, towels, etc. to easily cook meals, relax and watch the sunsets from the back bedroom or on the outside picnic table. The stairs to the dock on the lake were too steep to conquer so don't count on this as a place to swim. Also, there's a very long graveled road to get to the place so take it slow. Otherwise, it worked well for a week stay in Geneva for us. The Geneva visitors center was really nice and the 1-hour boat ride from there was relaxing and fun. An added surprise at the cottage...our hosts gifted us with a bottle of wine and sweet treats!

Sometimes when you go back to a place the allure may wear off a bit. Not here! We love everything about the cottage(gardens, fresh flowers around, candy, bottle of wine) Jean and Rich are amazing and do everything in their power to make their cottage such an amazing place! Location is perfect! Sunsets are spectacular!

Our family greatly enjoyed our time at this comfortable home while we spent time in the area for HWS graduation. Wonderful space, inside and out. We brought kayaks and found a place nearby to put them into the lake. Jean and Rich had many interesting stories of the local history to share. Many thanks to you both for your welcoming us!

The bedroom view was fantastic. They did so many unexpected little extras including a candy bowl for Halloween which my girls loved. Everything that you needed was on hand. A fantastic place to stay.

Garden Cottage is a cozy home. It was very clean and well equipped with everything, and more, that we needed for our weekend stay. The hosts provided many extras to make guests more comfortable. Beautiful views of the lake and the pretty garden. Stairs to the lake are steep but had handrails and lighting.

The Cottage was easy to find and conveniently located to restaurants and vineyards and there’s a beautiful waterfront with walking trails, visitor center, etc in Geneva. It was in pristine condition upon arrival. Great view of Lake Geneva. Beautiful landscaping. The staircase to the water and dock are quite steep and a bit of a challenge for older folks. It was well stocked with dinner, and cooking ware and paper goods. The owner leaves beer/wine for the guests. Also, a dish of candy and fresh flowers. The owners are lovely people. Definitely worth a repeat next year.

We had a wonderful time at the Garden Cottage on Seneca Lake-this was our second stay. The cottage was so clean and well stocked and hosts Jean and Rich were once again so gracious and accommodating! Being a family with 4 adult children we had plenty of space and our time was just what we needed to rest and recharge. We are already planning our stay for next summer! Thanks again Jean and Rich! 😊

We visited Seneca Lake for our son’s wedding festivities. The location of the property was easy to access and close to the venue and necessary shopping. We arrived several days before the wedding to explore the area as well, many beautiful hikes, waterfalls, and wineries. The property was perfect for us~beautiful, spacious, convenient.

My fiance and I went for a 5 day vacation. My brother in law with the wife and kids came down for a night on the fourth. There was more then enough room for everyone. And everyone had their own beds. The room with the two twins were perfect for the girls! The property is beautiful and its right on Seneca Lake. On the Fourth of July you were surrounded by fireworks while sitting on the dock! There are so many options for breweries and wineries. 3 brothers is 10 minutes away and ventosa is a 5 minute drive. Theres a new brewery called Watershed 2 minutes away and the owners are super nice. Dowtown Geneva is close as well with so many shops and restaurants. The owners of the cottage are super friendly and everything that you may need is stocked upand ready.fpr you. They keep in touch with you during your stay if you have questions or need anything. All of the finishing touches were perfect down to the hand cut flowers around the cottage. The owners had a welcome bottle of wine for us with personalized note. I can not say enough good things about this property. We absolutely loved everything about it. And having your own dock and little cove makes swiming and all water sports super easy. We will definitely be back to this garden cottage!!

My husband and 2 adult kids stayed here for a family wedding. The cottage was super clean and there was absolutely everything one would need plus! Beautiful fresh flowers were scattered about in vases as well as a delicious bottle of wine that we enjoyed while sitting in the backyard, having a fire and looking at the gorgeous view. We would without a doubt rent this cottage again when we return.

Pick this location for a weeklong getaway with my mother to venture through finger Lakes and visit Rochester. It was a great location near the top of the lake with easy access to get a Rochester an excellent location to get to multiple vineyards.Cute cottage with beautiful sunsets. Would love to go back when it was warmer to experience the lake and water activities!

We had an amazing time at the Garden Cottage! The property is exactly as listed and comes with everything you need. Truly is a home away from home. The owners were extremely communicative and the check in process was smooth. The property is perfectly located near wineries, restaurants, and hiking. We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our cooking needs, and we are Cooks! Rooms were very comfortable and roomy. We enjoyed watching the geese on the lake and having a fire in our pit. Also the location was perfect for winetasting in the area. We hope to visit again!
