About this cottage rental

Cottage is set on 25 acres, on the side of a hill, above the tree lined Angus river. It is a self catering rural retreat for 2 people. The non hosted B&B accommodation is set up as a romantic getaway for two, completely private from the road on a working beef cattle farm.
Included are previsions for full cooked breakfasts for each day.
There is no BBQ, oven or hot plates but we have an electric frying pan, microwave, toaster, kettle bar fridge utensils etc. There are 2 pubs and a cafe in Macclesfield with good food and they can do take away.
For safety we do not allow candles to be used in or around the cottage but we have supplied some solar lights instead.
Because Mirrabooka is designed to "Get away from the world for a while" there is no TV, but we do have games, books and peace & quiet. Also NO WIFI but you can get mobile coverage.
The bedroom and lounge open out onto the balcony where the spa bath is screened by bamboo and roller blinds if you want.

Peace and quiet. The serenity of the property with spectacular views is absolutely stunning. And just a 2km drive into Macclesfield town where you'll find some of the best country pubs with great food. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to unwind and forget about the rest of the world 🌎

Amazing place! So peaceful, clean, quiet and secluded. We absolutely loved every minute of this phenomenal getaway, and the food at the Three Brothers Hotel in nearby Macclesfield, was some of the best food i have ever eaten

Wonderful place to stay. Nice and quiet. Place was clean and well equiped. We were given eggs and bacon for us to cook breakfast. Good walk down by the creek. Close to Macclesfield to get dinner, recommend The Three Brothers.

Great property to get away from it all so serene but close enough to Macclesfield to enjoy dining out at the 2 hotels which were both wonderful in very different ways. Breakfast provisions were lovely but was missing condiments and Vegemite ect.

The place was very clean and well put together. We enjoyed playing boardgames overlooking the fields listening to the babbling brook (and in the evening the Koalas). Close enough to Strathalbyn to pop over to check out the farmers market but far enough away that you feel away from it all. Would love to stay here again in the future 😊

Second time to Mirabooka - it is a lovely quiet place with gorgeous trees, birds and very peaceful. Maybe could do with a salad bowl. We loved the stay - thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay there, the pictures don't do it justice. Was really lovely. Did not have any mobile internet reception on Vodaphone but it wasn't an issue as the scenery well made up for it. Very private and even had 2 kangaroos bounce past the balcony at one point.

We chose to stay at Mirabooka as it seemed the perfect place to relax and unwind for the weekend and we couldnt have been more right ❤️ From the warmth of the fireplace to the rocking chair on the porch overlooking the river this was more perfect than even we imagined 😊

Loved every minute. The spa and fire were absolutely what were needed to relax. Nothing beats waking up with bacon and eggs to the beautiful views as well. Only downside was that I had to leave.

Perfect getaway so peaceful, quiet and Isolated. Hotel down the road had great food. We didnt want to leave the spa, perfect for 2 people. Breakfast was great, bacon and eggs yum. Nicky was an amazing host and great with communication, will defintely go back.

generally very good could of done with some some more kindling wood for the fire place and some slightly bigger wood. Air conditioner takes awhile to heat up the building.

Beautiful, secluded location with amazing views, but close enough to easily drive to shops and other Adelaide Hills attractions. The cabin has a homely appeal, is comfortable, well appointed and is the ideal place to unwind and relax. Even in the midst of summer the cabin stayed cool with beautiful breezes flowing through. The spa on the deck is the perfect touch of luxury. We loved our stay and will definitely return!

A hidden gem in the heart of the hills. Driving down the driveway took my breath away. The babbling brook & white dotted green hills against the blue sky was a sight to behold! The sounds of the flowing water over the 2 days were very soothing. Thank you for the food supplies too!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here; it was so calming to be in the surrounding nature and the spa bath was a great way to relax. I would have liked a heads up that there is only a bar fridge (an esky is necessary for longer stays) and I was in need of a proper chopping knife to prepare my food. Another nice addition would be a map of the property boundaries as I felt uncomfortable crossing fence lines but wanted to explore more of the beautiful nature, as was advertised. Thank you for the stay!

Gorgeous little property, super comfortable. Has everything you need. Stayed for two nights but wish it was longer! The driveway is very steep so be aware but nothing a car can't handle. P.s. You should update your photos of the new spa! The current photos don't do it justice!
