Our stay in this "Relaxing Oak Park Home" lived up to every one of our expectations. Our host Ray was super-helpful and informative before, during and after our stay. He was available and communicative when we needed him and conveniently several blocks away at his own home in the same neighborhood when we didn't.
This handsome Craftsman-style Bungalow provides those that appreciate this style with a genuine experience of simplicity and minimalism typified by the early 20th century Arts & Crafts movement. At the same time, the modern decor, furnishings, appliances and fixtures blend well with the Craftsman aesthetic and vibe, providing guests with all the early 21st century conveniences expected in other VRBO listings.
If you crave a quiet, relaxing stay in a safe and family-friendly neighborhood, within a short 5-10 minute walk to various amenities and local businesses in the vibrant Oak Park, Berman and Forest Park shopping districts, or a 25 minute drive or 40 minute train ride to downtown, this property is for you.

The house was great, comfortable, clean and convenient. Ray was friendly and responsive. The only issue was that the sheets and towels were washed in a very perfume-y detergent and we’d have preferred fragrance free.

Just far enough from Chicago to commute back-and-forth, let alone the beauty and quaintness of Oak Park and so much to do there. Some of the best restaurants we've ever been to.

This property is in a great location, neighborhood was very quiet but not far from downtown!
The house itself was spotless and so cute. We loved all the character in the home and it had tons of space!

This was an ideal location to accommodate my family over Thanksgiving. We will book again for future trips

We were in town for a long weekend to attend a k-pop concert at the United Center. This house was perfect not only because it was just a few driving minutes from the concert, but is located in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. The CTA, grocery store, and places to dine were all within a few blocks radius. Raymond met us when we arrived and he quickly responded to any questions we had. The house was beautiful and cozy and I would definitely stay here again!

We’ve stayed several times in Oak Park, and this place by far is the best place to stay. Quiet residential street, convenient to everything. It was spotless. Beautiful bathroom. Comfortable beds. Plenty of plush towels. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of room, and Raymond, the owner, was terrific. I locked us out and broke the coffee pot. He was responsive and really nice about both things

This is one of the best properties I have ever rented! The house was beautiful and immaculate! The neighborhood was safe and quiet! Host Raymond was incredible! He met me at the door, provided a walk through and was very friendly. I cannot recommend this property enough! I will definitely look for availability here on my next trip to the Chicago area!

This property was absolutely perfect during our 3-day stay for our son's wedding in downtown Chicago, and a great value for 4 adults needing 3 bedrooms.
The location is in a nice and quiet neighborhood -- zero outside noise (except for the thunderstorms), yet shops, eateries, etc. are just blocks away, while the I-294 ramp is a few minutes the other way (downtown is 20-ish minutes if traffic is OK). The house is exactly as stated, in a quaint, well-decorated, open concept yet historic home. Large modern kitchen and modern bathroom with walk-in shower, with large old-school bedrooms and lots of closet space. Big enclosed front porch and cute back porch/yard. Ring cameras/locks. Big TV with many channels. Ray is a great host, quickly accommodating us when we let him know we were running a couple hours later than expected, giving us access to the house, and meeting us just after our arrival with a friendly greeting and for any questions. Highly recommend!!!

We loved our stay in Oak Park. The house is lovely and very clean. The kitchen is well equiped and the neighbourhood is quiet and beautiful. Grocery store close by as are several playgrounds for children. If we ever come back to Oak Park, we'd love to stay here again. All communication with Raymond was easy and he's nice person. Thank you!

This was the perfect location. Near subway and expressway. Had a blast.

Nice house. All the comforts of home. Charming old house with great upgrades in the kitchen and bathroom. Quiet street with good parking. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. We would love to stay again sometime and check out Frank Lloyd Wright’s museum and surrounding area.

We LOVED this home, centrally located to just about everything, walk to a couple of bars and great neighborhood and beautiful 105 year old home! Ray was a pleasure to communicate with and even did an in person meet and greet. Only recommendation is to add a few more mirrors, maybe back of bedroom doors to make it easier for getting ready when sharing a bathroom. Loved our stay and highly recommend!!!

The house was amazing, especially the space you get for the price. It’s located in a beautiful neighborhood with grocery store nearby. The house was so clean, great house with character. Raymond was so helpful at check in, and accommodated us as we underestimated traffic and came in an hour later than planned. Kitchen came equiped with everything we needed. If we ever come to Chicago again will definitely try to grab this place again.

House was clean and fit perfectly for our trip Parking in front, super easy.

Went to Chicago to catch a baseball and football game. Location in very safe area, fairly close to airport and stadiums. Raymond was an excellent host and his place has all items you need, we did breakfasts and suppers there, grocery store only 2 blocks away.
4.8
Raymond was a great host. Good communicator and responsive. We didn't meet him in person since we were always on the go but he offered to come over and help us figure out the TV, etc.
Back porch offered a nice respite in the evenings.
He provided an abundance of towels, the kitchen is well-appointed and modern, though we didn't cook while we were there.
Just a couple of niggling details … a couple of boxes of kleenex would be nice, some soap in the shower. We thought coffee maker didn't work, but it appears to be the outlet. Just moved it to another and it worked fine. Also, lights above bathroom sink didn't work.
Overall, I would highly recommend this house, but for a max of four people, not more, since there is only one shower.
Would definitely stay here again. Good value and close to everything!

Beautiful home, Fantastic Location
We have a fantastic stay! This home has everything you need to be your home away from home. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils, pots, pans, dishes and glasses you would need for any meal. The house has so much charm and was in a very nice neighborhood. Everything we could possibly need was nearby including, restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations. The owner was great with responding to anything we contacted him with and came and met us in person when we arrived which I thought was very nice. Just an overall great stay.

Safe Neighborhood/Awesome Property Manager!
We had all the comforts of home. Beautiful old home. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. We walked downtown for groceries, a small town bar, and dinner. It was also a short walk to the train station. It was very easy to get to all the tourist attractions that we wanted to see in Chicago via the train and bus. Ray was absolutely amazing to work with! He would promptly respond to ANYTHING we needed.

We stayed here and enjoyed both the location (close to a grocery store and bakery) and the house itself (great kitchen, well stocked with items needed for making our own meals with plenty of room for us to host family dinners for 6 ppl). The beds and pillows were comfortable and we had plenty of towels. Raymond was a great host and very quick to respond to questions.

The place is not huge but it fit four of us comfortably. A few in our group took advantage of a nice backyard to get some fresh air. The toilet upstairs is not listed but came in handy. There is no laundry facility as far as I could tell. Overall it was comfortable.

Weekend with Family
Great property. Felt right at home. If we needed anything he was right there for us. The only issue is that if you are going to cook in the kitchen on the stove or use the oven, be aware the smoke alarm is very sensitive and it will go off not matter what you have on the stove! Suggest to grill. Would definitely stay here again! Neighborhood is beautiful and very friendly.

Great Property, Great Host
We really enjoyed this 3 bdrm craftsman style house. Nice comfortable, quiet neighborhood that’s close to the freeway and rail stops. Raymond was easy going and available but you don’t need him much because he’s thought of everything in the property appointments.

The owner communicates well and was really flexible with the odd hours that we checked in/out. We would definitely stay here again.
