About this chalet rental
Enjoy your Lake Tahoe vacation in the comfort of this large family home! Our chalet was completed in January of 2013.
The home is approximately 1,800 square feet and is situated in the quiet, family-friendly neighborhood of Tahoma on Lake Tahoe’s west shore. It is within walking distance to the private homeowners’ beach (available to renters), pier, market, casual dining, park for children, and Chamber’s Landing. Also close by are Sugar Pine Point State Park, Meeks Bay, and Emerald Bay, which offer access to trails and the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe. In the winter, there is easy access to Homewood, Squaw Valley, and Alpine Meadows ski resorts. The casinos and entertainment of the South Shore are a scenic and short drive away.
The downstairs level of the home includes a large gathering room with a flat screen TV and gas fireplace. The dining area can comfortably seat eight to ten people. The kitchen features granite counters and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher. It is well equipped with pots, pans, dinnerware, silverware, cups, and appliances (toaster, coffee maker, etc.) necessary for entertaining.
The upstairs level consists of a master bedroom, two additional bedrooms, bathroom, laundry room, and loft. It is an ideal set up for two families. The master bedroom has a king size bed, full bathroom, flat screen TV, and access to the front deck. The first of the additional bedrooms also has a king size bed and access to the back deck. The second bedroom has two full beds, a bunk bed, and access to the back deck. It is great for children. The loft has a wet bar with wine fridge and coffee maker. You can sit outside on one of the decks in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee!
There is WIFI and hard wire Internet throughout the house.

It was more house than we needed but this is a beautiful rental. And it had EVERYTHING we needed. Seriously. Usually I take a look at the pan cupboards of our rentals and tell my family what we can eat based on how poorly stocked or scary looking the pans are. This year, I actually said, "Ok, I can cook here. What do you guys want?" I was a little creeped out by the fake dog barks at check in (I thought maybe the former renter was still in there!). The house is clean, modern, well set up, convenient and was worth the money. And thank heavens there were screens everywhere. I have been renting in Tahoma for 25 years and am constantly shocked by nice houses that I can't get a decent night's sleep in because they have no screens and they get pretty hot in the summer. I slept with the upstairs slider open at night and it was lovely.

Very clean. Nice Neighborhood. Well stocked kitchen. Very roomy - both upstairs and downstairs have a "living" area. Walking distance to the beach. Would stay here again!

The house is better than the pictures! A very comfortable place to stay. The two living room areas was such a nice feature. The kitchen is well stocked. It was nice having a table large enough to fit everyone staying at the house. So many times a house will sleep one number of people and the dining table will only seat 1/2 that amount.
Great neighborhood, walking distance to the lake. Quiet neighborhood. For the winter months, you cannot park in the street, garage fit 2 cars and driveway could fit two- at least with no snow. Don’t know about when there are plies of snow.
Would recommend, would stay again!

This is the second time staying in this beautiful home with our family. My review from our first stay last year says it all in detail, but in a nutshell we love this house and the fact it is so comfortable, roomy, clean and cozy in a beautiful, quiet setting amongst the trees. If you're a cook, the kitchen has EVERYTHING you need! We love everything about this house!

We traveled with kids (ages 2 and 6). We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and cozy. They had all the amenities imaginable and much more, including a high chair and plates/ cups, books, puzzles for our toddler, which was a nice surprise.
The house feels very private, there is a good space between the neighboring houses and you don’t feel like your neighbor is staring at your through the window (unlike other houses in Tahoma).
The only small improvement for us would be a fence in the backyard, so that’s the little ones don’t run away. We had to chase our 2 year old quiet a lot:)
The hosts were very responsive and even mailed us a children’s book that we accidentally left behind- thank you!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely, immaculate home! The house is located on a quiet street surrounded by beautiful pine trees. The layout of this home worked out great for our family. We were on vacation with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter (toddler age). The sectional sofa in the lower-level family room meant we had plenty of room to gather while watching movies or just having our morning coffee. There is a gas fireplace in this room which was nice to enjoy during the cooler mornings. The dining room and kitchen are adjacent to the family room space, so the open floor plan worked out great to accommodate all of us very comfortably. The kitchen is absolutely the best well stocked kitchen I have ever experienced while renting a house. We are a “cooking family” and we had everything we could possibly need to make all of our meals, do some baking, etc. I was blown away with all of the cooking supplies and utensils! This home is beautifully decorated, and all of the finishes added to the loveliness of each room! There is a wonderful upper floor bonus room/family room which is a great gathering spot for coffee, cocktails, watching TV or playing games since there is a nice high-top table and chairs in addition to the comfy sofa. The three bedrooms upstairs worked out perfect for our two families. Both of the bathrooms are very pretty, and there was plenty of storage space for our toiletries etc. This house has a super tall, spacious garage. We were actually able to park our two small SUVs in the garage which is a bonus so that we knew that our vehicles were secured at night, especially in bear country. The garage even accommodated our SUV with our two bikes on top. This is by far the nicest vacation rental we have ever stayed in! Highly recommended!

This was the perfect house for our family of 5 to stay. The upstairs living area was great for my 2 grandchildren to read, play games, watch movies while we prepared for a Tahoma gathering at the Park for a Celebration of Life for my husband. The house is spacious, clean, no pets, has awesome decks off ea upstairs room. We didnt spend a lot of time there, but I will next time I come. Looking forward to staying here again.

We were in town for a wedding and spent a long weekend at this home. There were 4 adults but easily could have had more. The home is spacious, comfortable, clean, and equipped with everything we needed, and a lovely welcoming touch (2 bottles of wine :) ) The beautiful lake and trails were walking distance and a couple of lakefront restaurant's were just a short drive. Perfect location for our needs.

We were so happy with our decision to rent this home! It was impeccably clean, furnished well, comfortable linens/towels, large backyard (perfect for our toddlers to sled in), garage, kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. This is one of the most pleasant homes we’ve rented at Tahoe, clearly the owners take pride in keeping a nice home. We visited with our family including a 1 and 3 year old, and some friends who have a 5 year old, they absolutely loved it. There were even games and kids books available and a pack n play in the closet. There are a lot of stairs so if you have a little adventurous one like my 1 year old you just have to be mindful. The location is great too. Go check out Sugar Pine Point Beach 5 min down the road, great beach, trails and sledding. 100% would recommend this rental.

My extended family and I had an amazing stay. The cabin clean, has up to date appliances, and is well stocked with toiletries, numerous kitchen items/appliances and even games, kid’s books and puzzles, and sleds. The location is beautiful and we will definitely stay again in the future.

We loved the house. It was big enough for all of us (4 adults, 4 kids) and had a lot of comfortable seating. Everything was clean, organized and not 100 years old! Had a lot of fun just playing in the snow around the house but were also close to some sled parks if needed. Even met a few neighbors who were super nice and helped another car that was having trouble getting up the icy road. We would love to stay again.

We enjoyed this place so much. It was just as described. It was beautiful, clean, comfortable, quiet and inviting. I would recommend staying here if you are planning to visit Lake Tahoe. Tahoe city is about 7 miles away and has great shopping and dining. I will definitely stay here again.

Lovely bedrooms, bathrooms, backyard. Kitchen is huge and fully equipped! Ample extra towels, sheets, pillows, and all of high quality. Kids’ toys and books were an extra treat. I felt like I was a guest, not just a paying customer. Location is perfect for enjoying West Shore bike trail, Sugar Pine Point SP, Meeks Bay. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved the layout of this house. The family could relax in the den and the others continue their zoom meetings from the loft. The location is perfect for those wishing to visit the many activities on the west side of the lake. South shore is 40 minutes and Tahoe City is 15 minutes to the north. We also enjoyed walking around the block and visiting with the friendly neighbors.

This place is amazing! Tons of space at a very fair price. The house is relatively new & looks that way. Everything worked properly - wifi, tv, fireplace, laundry, dishwasher, etc. Tahoma is pretty quiet, but excellent location - a short 7-10 minute walk to the lake & market deli. Plenty of cooking necesities (pots, pans) and a few extras that are not usually included. Will absolutely try staying here again.

Plenty of room and very well-stocked home. Perfect for our family of 4 and definitely could have easily brought another family of 4 with us. We will definitely consider staying here again.
