Lovely setting, I could sit looking out at that view all day.

A great location amongst the vines, with amazing views! Some guests have complained about the winding road up the hill, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and considered it worth it for the treat at the top. The house itself is a perfect size for one or two couples, and we appreciated that the two bedrooms were virtually the same, saving "arguments" about who gets which room. The kitchen is adequately stocked with the basics to allow cooking meals at home, to be enjoyed on the deck.
That said, the place could really use a refresh. Lots of little maintenance items are in need of attention and collectively detract from the 5-star potential of the villa. For the price, one would expect excellent finishes and amenities. Our experience was perfectly good, but not great.

Great communication. It’s a magical location with a gorgeous view for relaxing outside. Space inside was really large. It was just my husband and I but would have worked for two couples or a family. The layout flows well for privacy. Has the basic necessities for making a meal at home. Lots of signs and instructions for guests inside. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Located on a beautiful property with stunning views of Healdsburg. The vineyards outside the front door added to the charm. The property has everything you need. The bathroom could use a little updating as well as the window coverings throughout. Otherwise, the property was perfect for our getaway.

This was our first time staying at a VRBO. Always stayed in hotels. Our stay exceeded my expectations. We felt very comfortable and the view is nothing short of amazing. Bill and Scott were very responsive to any of our needs. Absolutely recommend!

Quiet spot just a few minutes outside of town. Very convenient to multiple wine areas and activities. Peaceful and relaxing.

Near the vineyards on Dry creek road. We went to Sbragia and David Caffaro. The Dry Creek General store at the bottom of the mountain was great for sandwiches and salads.
Beds were comfortable and place was clean. The weather was not good this past weekend so we couldn’t sit outdoors but there is a beautiful outdoor seating arrangement for gorgeous views of the mountains and vegetation. The grape vines were just starting to leaf out. Thanks for a great stay without pet golden doodle.

Good value for money—-5 stars for location. The “Villa” appurtenances could use a little freshening up (kitchen, bathroom) and a slightly better cleaning standard. But overall, a pleasure to stay here. And: an honor to enjoy such a glorious setting.

The best thing is the view-truly spectacular. As stated in the description, and other reviews, there is a long winding drive up the hill on a very narrow road. You do have to drive 5mph to stay safe.
The bedrooms are small but adequate. The bathroom is nice. The unit was clean. My main critique is that the place is "tired." The kitchen really needs to be updated. The toaster is old with burnt brown/black crud. Same with the coffee pot. The refrigerator and stove and dishwasher are very old. The cabinets appear to be 25 years old, or so, and the finish is deteriorating. The kitchen is functional but not esthetically appealing. For the price, one would hope for an updated kitchen.
Again, the view is fabulous.

We had a great stay here! They owners were incredibly responsive and flexible. They also stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed when we checked in. The place is amazing - it's a secluded mountain retreat that is both removed from wine country, but also an easy 5 min drive to the heart of wine country and wine tastings. They have amazing views from the patio, where you see and hear only wildlife. There is almost zero light pollution, allowing you to see Milky Way Galaxy with the naked eye from the hottub in the evening. Incredibly quiet stay. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sonoma Wine Country - especially Dry Creek and Russian River Valley.

We flew into SFA and made our way to the property with no problems. The road leading to the property is very dark, steep and windy so I recommend arriving before sunset. The location is perfect if you are visiting the area wineries. Visit The Bar and General Store at the bottom on the hill.
The villa is very comfortable with comfy beds. The water takes its time heating up so plan for that. We enjoyed the views and our time on the terrace watching the sunrise/sunset. The kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need. I was happy to find a French press and electric kettle.
We would highly recommend!

It was a beautiful setting. We stayed 5 nights but never met or heard from the owners at the other end of the driveway. Maybe they were not home during our stay or it may have been their practice to not bother renters.
It is a nice home but could use a little bit of care. The fronts to all of the kitchen cabinets are in need of some sanding and a new coat of poly. I like to work with wood so I notice these things, but it is pretty apparent. We thought that the patio door should have had a screen so that we could have left the door open to get some breeze, but the mosquitos and flies were too abundant in the early evening.
Not that I need bathroom towels to match but it is the little things that matter sometimes when you are renting a place. The screen over the sink has a decent size hole in it too so we could not have that window open either, one screen in the room that we stayed in was bent also so we could not have that particular window open because the wind would blow the screen in.
Overall we enjoyed our stay but just felt that the home needed some updating. A little attention to detail, it would not take much to make it shine
It has a great patio with great views, and is most definitely in a wonderful area.

We enjoyed our stay here! Steve was a very kind and responsive host and the views from the property were stunning.
The only thing I would note for future guests is that the driveway is STEEP and we were not able to fit more than one car comfortably. When leaving the property, I was not able to turn my car around so I had to back out of the driveway down the major hill —without a backup camera, this proved to be challenging.
That being said, if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is a great place to do it! We had coffee on the patio every morning and listened to the birds chirp (without hearing cars in the distance which was fantastic).
Thanks Steve!

Very cool place, great views and accurate house description. We wanted to go to a few wine tastings and it was a bit tricky to get a taxi as it's quite out the way but if you plan ahead, shouldn't be a problem. 10/10

Very comfortable, great views. The hosts were very accommodating. We would stay here again. This gave us a chance to see what living on a vineyard would be like. Remote, yet just minutes from Healdsburg.

Relaxing Getaway
Wonderful property, amazing views, and fantastic hosts. This place is in a great location for launching your wine tasting excursions to Dry Creek valley, Alexander valley, and Russian River valley.
We stocked up for everything at the local Healdsburg farmers market, Big Johns Market, and Journeyman Meats. The villa has everything you need for a patio perfect afternoon BBQ and then relaxing in the hot tub in the evening under the stars.
We will definitely be coming back.

Most Beautiful Stay
Words cannot describe how beautiful this place is. Views from every window! The star gazing was also truly something to behold. Our hosts were very responsive and even allowed us to enjoy their pool during 100+ degree heat. The drive up to the home is a little windy, but we were made aware prior to booking. Highly, highly recommend this spot — we can’t wait to go back!

Great getaway!
This was a great place to stay for a few days away. Lake Sonoma was nearby for hiking. Only thing that could have been better was the weather.

Another Wonderful Stay
This was a second year staying at Dry Creek Villa, and we again enjoyed the lovely home, the sweeping views and sunrise, and access to wonderful vineyards and biking. Springtime in this part of Sonoma feels quiet with roads pretty much to ourselves. Bill and Scott have always been friendly, helpful and communicative. It's been a pleasure coming and we look forward to next year!

Beautiful, remote home
The owners were both helpful and respectful. I called to clarify having our pet with us and they were wonderful and quick to respond. The home itself was clean, roomy, and comfortable. The road leading to it is a bit twisty but a slow drive makes the end place worth the trip! Would definitely book again!!! Great people!

Lovely Stay at Dry Creek Villa
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Dry Creek Villa. The home and property are beautiful. We especially loved the hot tub and the views out to the mountains and surrounding vineyards. Be aware that getting into/out of town requires a bit of extra planning if you're trying to avoid taking your own car.

Gorgeous views!!
We had a wonderful time at Dry Creek Villa, wish we could have stayed longer! The views are absolutely breathtaking. We loved how close it is to town and wineries even though you feel so far away from it all.
