Loved our stay in the Maclure residence!
First, the place is huge, with plenty of room to spread out. The beds were very comfortable, and so were the couches in the TV room. The kitchen was well stocked and functional, and we were very happy to use the secure underground parking. There was some noise from the upstairs neighbors and neighborhood traffic, but never enough to interfere with our stay.
But, the best feature of the place is the location. We were able to leave the car behind and walk all over downtown and into Chinatown. And, if you're headed back to the US via the MV Coho, it's only a 4 minute drive to the ferry terminal.
Will definitely book again the next time we're in Victoria!

This home had everything we had hoped for - ample room, comfortable beds, working appliances!, a well appointed kitchen, elegance, warmth, style, comfort, friendly neighbors, cleanliness, awesome bathrooms, and our welcoming host, Noel (sp) was delightful and very, very helpful! Thank you - all six of us had a really wonderful time.

Super location but a bit noisy with lots of traffic on Superior. It needs AC and most windows were painted shut. Otherwise, fine.

We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful house located in the middle of historic Victoria. It was a beautifully decorated home. Our three generations were able to walk and explore and enjoy our surroundings.

The place is nice and great location.
Had the place booked and have written confirmation of dates. Was forced to leave a full day earlier than booked as they doubled booked.

We loved our stay! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Victoria but the street it is on was very quiet. It felt very safe walking around at night. The rental itself was extremely spacious with lovely decor. The photos were accurate. The beds were very comfortable, as were the living room's couches. The kitchen was well stocked too. It is worth noting that there are rentals upstairs and downstairs. We heard a bit of noise through the ceiling, but it was nothing that bothered us. We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend it to others.

We ( two couples) found the McClure home to be a great vacation rental. The rooms were large and inviting, the beds comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. The location couldn’t have been better with easy walks to groceries, eateries, Beacon Hill Park and thedowntown harbor and attractions. We would repeat our stay if lucky enough to return to the wonderful city of Victoria.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. It started with us being greeted rudely by Johnny (the property manager) asking if we had kids and to tell them to not jump as there were guests underneath (not advertised that we would have guests above or below us). Cindy approved our kids coming months ago so there are communication issues between the host and property managers.
The kitchen had broken and detaching cabinet doors that had knives in them that were heavy and we are very lucky that they didn't fall on our children or our feet! They never fixed these. We were also told that the house had been cleaned before our arrival however the floors were very dirty and the kitchen counters were not cleaned. We were told by Cindy that the “floors are always cleaned in between guests but it obviously got missed this time around.”
The ad also says there is one queen bed and one single bed in each bedroom and this is NOT the case. One of the bedrooms only has one bed. The ad also says this “sleeps 6” but then were told by Cindy (the host) that we would have to pay an extra guest fee even though we were only 4 adults and 2 kids. We found later on the ad that the extra guest fee was advertised as MUCH less than she charged us. Ridiculous. Do not believe what you read about this place or what she tells you.
We were told that we had a private laundry facilities but one day while we were out, we came back and found that the host had actually moved our laundry from the washer to dryer without our permission and shrunk our clothes. We were NOT aware that others would have access to our Laundry facilities during our stay. This was very unsettling and Cindy’s response was “Sorry about that. He was just putting the wet clothes in the dryer.”
Cindy was a terrible host. Do not recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful time at the Maclure Residence. The location was ideal for us to access the Inner Harbour for the Deuce Days Car Show. It comfortably accommodated 5 adults and was quiet and well appointed with everything we needed for our 2 day stay.

This place is within walking distance to Beacon Hill Park, the Pacific, Downtown, The Legislature, museums, the Victoria Harbour. It's a wonderful place to host a few friends with large kitchen and dining room. Very clean and lots of natural light. The manager Johnny is very friendly.

We enjoyed this rental property for its location and it suits our group. The stove should have 4 working burners and the TV package should have some sports channels.

Beautiful place to stay for our family as we transitioned our son into University. It was extremely spacious yet warm and comfortable, with large kitchen, dining and living room areas. It was also ideal to have a central spot for the families of our son’s friends to gather to share some stories at the end of this milestone weekend. We will definitely return and will also recommend this property to friends.

Walking distance to everything, you really couldn't ask for a better location. The only downside is no air-conditioning but there were plenty of fans to help out the situation. Would stay again!
