The property was perfect for 2, cannot imagine 8! Small family would be fine. Neighbors friendly. Neighborhood quiet. This was a good fit for us.

This was absolutely the best house to stay in our girls trip to celebrate my moms birthday!! It was walking distance to the original Mexican restaurant, and a short Uber trip to the strand. We did lots of earring and shopping and was able to come back for a quick rest to do it again!!! We will definitely use this house again.!

Beautiful, well maintained cottage in the Strand area. Convenient for walking tours & close to restaurants. Communication was a breeze & issue with TV resolved quickly. We're already planning our next visit!

This is a cute little house with just enough space for the family. The location was great. Quiet neighborhood and quick drive anywhere on the island. Walking distance to bakery and cafe. Would recommend to others.

The setup of the cottage was very beautiful. I loved it. I loved the backyard set up. The grocery store is no more than 8 minutes away. The beach is right up the street. There was a minor bug problem but that’s expected since there’s water nearby. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and if I come back to Galveston, I’ll probably book again.

Cute little cottage! We really enjoyed this cottage, loved seeing the old city of Galveston before getting on our cruise ship.

I probably didn’t read the fine print to find out that the bed in the master is just a full, not a queen. The queen is the fold out couch.
Not only was it too small, it also has a distinct “dip” in the middle. Otherwise, we loved the place and would book again.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. The owner was very responsive. Loved the decor in the house and the beds were comfortable. Great location too!

Cute Beachy Cottage
This is a cute two bedroom cottage. It has been fully renovated and decorated accordingly. In a good area and still close to everything! There’s only one bathroom but it is huge! Only one minor issue with towels and the tub and the property manager took care of it immediately! Definitely 5 stars and I highly recommend to any family that doesn’t want to be squished in a hotel room!

Fantastic location and lovely property
Owner was amazing with communication and easy to follow instructions. The property was in excellent condition and perfect decor for the island. The location was even better than expected. It was in a beautiful historic neighborhood with several excellent eateries within 2-3 blocks. My family was comfortable and relaxed for the duration of the stay. We would rent this property again.

No response from owner
Overall experience was good, the house is very pleasant. I had not received check in instructions and we were already well in to the arrival day. I sent several messages to the owner and through VRBO, and finally recieved instructions later in the day. I undertsand we could not check in until a certain time, but in trying to plan our day, and having reached out to the property owner, a response would have been appreciated.

Great experience
This cottage is clean and comfortable. The location can't be beat! Wonderful neighborhood to see the beautiful homes, tree sculptures, and easily access great restaurants. We were fortunate to be here when the homes were decorated for Christmas- a feast for the spirit! I would book this cottage again.

Great Place, Not so Great Neighbors
We absolutely loved the property however, the neighbors were horrible. We rented a golf cart and parked it on the side of the house next to the fence thinking it would be out of site and less likely to be messed with. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize it was blocking a gate into the neighbors house. Instead of coming to ask us to move it, he vandalized our golf cart and called the police. Also, be careful of the rugs! They are cute but super slippery and dangerous! A couple of us fell.

Cozy stay
We had a good time and was Convenient to the last hints we had planned to do. The only issue was there was a small ant issue, we did not say anything because they were not bad. We would stay there again.

Family vacay
We stayed here with 4 young kids and 2 adults. The weeds were high in the front yard and in the back patio area. The deck and patio area could use some TLC. The air was set at certain temperatures so you can't adjust it but you can turn the 2 window units down. The automatic lights in the bathroom turn off on you when your in the shower so don't shower too late or u have to keep getting out to turn the lights back on. The bed in the master bedroom wasn't great. We kept rolling together in the middle and the sheets wouldn't stay on. Not bad for the price and location.

Simply Perfect
Our family really enjoyed this house. I’ll be honest, I would love to live there full time. I wasn’t sold on the location when my wife suggested we rent something that wasn’t on the beach, but I was wrong! We absolutely loved the Original Mexican Cafe too !

Great Location!
You can't beat the location. Located on a nice little strip of homes, and so close to Sunflower Bakery and Mosquito Cafe. The street was very quiet, and the home was super charming. It is an older home, but that's what we love.

My mom and I stayed in this house and loved it. The location is perfect in the East Historical District. The kitchen is phenomenal. The bedrooms were great for us. Spacious living room with TV in every room. The automatic bathroom light switch was thoroughly enjoyed. You will need to bring or buy your own shampoo/conditioner/body soap, coffee/Kuerig cups. Thank you for allowing us to stay! Would definitely stay again.

Bach Party
Was a great place to stay for group of friends down for bachelor party weekend, was good neighborhood and only mile away from strand area.

The cottage itself is very cute! The decor was fun. The outdoor patio was a great spot. The downsides were that things like soap, toilet paper and garbage bags were not available, so we had to buy those. Also, it says in the description that it can accommodate 8. There were 5 of us and we were very tight. It’s perfect for a family with children who don’t need much room.

Not Great. Not Bad. Just ok.
When we arrived the home smelled quite strongly of natural gas. We found two burners on the stove turned on to the low setting. We opened all of the doors and windows that we could and let the property air out for several hours before we felt comfortable enough to enter the property.
We did head to the beach (Which is quite close and very convenient) for the early evening and returned for dinner. We spent the remainder of the evening waiting for the AC to catch back up after having to let all of the cool air out.
The bed in the primary bedroom is essentially just foam and quite thin. To the point that you can feel the box spring supports through the mattress. Combined with the extra warm house, it made for an uncomfortable sleepless night.
We also noticed a great number of ants in the kitchen as well as the bedrooms. We lost several very tasty cookies and desserts to these pests. (If you do stay, walk to the sunflower bakery or patty cakes, they’re both awesome)
Overall, it’s a cute house in a great location. The experience was a little lackluster due to the gas issue and uncomfortable bed, which are both totally fixable issues for the next renter.

Perfect for a family getaway. We enjoyed walking to the strand, great bakeries, and restaurants all close-by. Lovely historic neighborhood. The house itself is comfortable and well-stocked. The owners are responsive to your questions.
